Charming county park featuring several restored Victorian homes & the city's first synagogue.
Whether its the music or the clothes of the people, theres an atmosphere。
Great tourist spot unique and interesting San Diego history and amazing authentic
Nice place to take a quick walk. Most buildings are closed. There is a tea house.
Really good place to take pictures 📸
To these old homes with so much history from the 1800’s is pretty amazing. The architecture is beautiful.
A pleasant area to walk around with old houses.
Took prom pics here! pretty flowers and houses!!
A lovely time exploring the exterior of of preserved old houes and a former Jewish temple. While the former temple was open, I wish we had been allowed inside one of the houses.
Is nice park, relaxing area to walk. Meditation 🧘♀️ etc
Awesome park. Historic homes well worth visiting. Great sunset views too.
Very nice quiet little park beautiful old historic homes to see
This historical park is very nice and pretty to visit for a picnic or some other occasion. Beautiful view and very clean. There are historical homes that you can see that were brought and relocated here
Hello, I just sent your group three photos of one of the historic homes being moved by Truck to its home in your park. The photos were taken from our house on Ft. Stockton Dr. in 1981. I hope you get them.Good luck.
A fairy corner in Old Town San Diego, a travel in the past surrounded by beautiful wood made houses in Old colonial/ liberty styles
Such a beautiful place! Tranquil, historic, and great vibe!
Hostorical late nineteenth hundred century cottages and homes nicely preserved. Lovely greenery around and not too much people.
Always beautiful to see these gorgeous old houses.
I love this place! You can access some many things to do in Old Town from here. The Victorian houses built in the 1800s are beautiful! You can get married by a ranger in the park. I am a local and visit there all year long.
Beautiful, quiet and mellow place to take a little walk. Beautiful architecture and plaques that explain each house. Really cute.
Located in Old Town. Hidden gem many dont know about. Nice views, quiet, free parking. Beautiful homes, Victorian. 3 are supposed to be haunted. Great place for a picnic.
Beautiful peaceful park def a must go back for a photo shoot 😊
A cute little park, with some of the most beautiful house that line it. If youre interested in Victorian architecture, this is the place to visit.
Love going there. Its so peaceful. You really feel like you are in a old village. Dont forget to do the trail (very shortto find an amazing view.
The Heritage Park Victorian Village is one of the hidden gems in San Diego, it is a must-see when you are in the area, there are a lot of attractions nearby, so you will be near it at some point but you can easily miss it, so make sure to pass by this beautiful palace, vibrant colors, amazing photo opportunity.
This place was pretty and empty in old town area. Not really much "to do" as all the buildings seem to be closed, covid aside. It is good to walk around briefly or sit in the shade with a meal. Found this little trail behind the victorian house (recommended by anotherto a small great overlook and bench. The houses were vaguely interesting to kids. I was it is okay just because it isnt much of an outing on its own, but we combined it with a trip to pioneer park and the estuary house which was much more of a something to do. But this is prefect if you want to be by yourself outside, or just with a friend, much less crowded than official parks in the area.Weirdly, my daughter looked in one of these big empty houses mailboxes and found a purse, cash, and debt card. Bummer for whomever lost it!For more, follow @averageadvocate on instagram
I love going to the rarely busy park, mostly for the great photo opportunities set against a variety of Victorian homes.
Love this park with its rich history and beautiful grassy area.
I love this County park located just outside Old Town State Park. The historic homes are stunning although none are open during Covid19. The grounds are beautiful with lots of shade trees. A little known trail at the back of the park leads to a bench at the top of the hill with a spectacular view. Park also has its own parking lot and very clean restrooms.
Beautiful sight for the wedding that was held there that we attended this past Saturday afternoon. The scenery the flowers, the setting all set the tone for one of the most beautiful wedding ceremonies.
Yes I would love to the insides of old houses but have to be content with viewing the outside and sniffing the heavenly jasmine.
Its beautiful and peaceful. It would be nice if one could visit the inside of the houses. So sad there is no more tea room!!!
Great first Saturday 1pm tour. Interiors of houses are not accessible and are boarded up from the inside.
Just a little park with some beautiful historic homes. Its nice just to walk around and enjoy the architecture.
Very interesting! Wonderful architecture! Beautiful little neighborhood. Nice and peaceful place to stroll. Definitely worth the visit.
Beautifully preserved historic San Diego homes relocated to heritage park where they can be viewed together. There is a very nice Tea Room and gift shop in one of the homes. Also the first synagogue in San Diego was refurbished and moved here as well.
Great place to take pictures and have fun with the kids, plenty of room for them to run around
Well kept historic homes and synagogue in a nice setting in Old Town.
Beautiful old buildings. Great place for a picnic on the lawn.
I was expecting authentic renovations of d budings but it turned out to be a reproduction and a lot of tourists shops. Bonus was thst the weather was amazing.
Beautiful historical houses ❤️ If you are visiting San Diego you must visit Old Town and the Heritage houses.
Historic Victorian homes from early San Diego have found a new home at this park in Old Town. Lovely to walk around, and to shop and eat at nearby vintage locales.
This is a beautiful park. We went because they were showing Casablanca. It was a great evening.
My wife and I got married here 18 years ago, and it still look beautiful! A small quiet park surrounded by beautiful Victorian home wonderfully preserved . A great spot for photographers!
I just had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous wedding at Heritage Park in San Diego. The wedding couple made many DIY elements and there was a touch of whimsy and elegance to the event. There were lawn games and an ice cream truck for the reception. The bridal party got ready in the church which provided a beautiful backdrop. The couple photos were done right before sunset which provided the most beautiful light and the park made the most beautiful backdrop. I would highly recommend Heritage Park to anyone looking for a natural setting for their wedding venue.
Absolutely gorgeous collection of Victorian homes and a synagogue. Virtually no descriptive material and two full time rangers who seem to know or care little about the houses. Their job seems to be to sit at their desks and talk to each other. No tours. No info.
Awesome park with historic Victorian houses and a hidden trail up the hill.
Dozen of times we went or took friends to old town within last few years, but it took me searching for parking on Cinco de Mayo weekend to incidentally find this beautiful street with historic houses dating all the way back to 1880.
It was fascinating to see the old homes of San Diego. The homes are from the late 1800s. The area is charming. It was an easy walk to view the homes. The hardest part is finding parking. It is a great place to go for a walk after lunch or dinner in Old Town.
Im surprised this spot doesnt get the attention it deserves.Just blocks from Old Town State Park and the Whaley House, Heritage Park should be on every tourists list of places to see in San Diego.
Such an underrated attraction in crazy Old Town. I love walking here and enjoying the eight acres of (restoredvibrant Victorian architecture and our fair citys first ever synagogue. While you cannot enter most of the buildings, you can roam freely on the grounds and truly enjoy the frugal freedom of the well maintained lawns.
