Heritage Bakery & Café - Bakery in Harrisonburg, United States
Enjoyed a pretzel with butter and a chocolate covered donut while waiting for our flight.
The pastries here were fantastic and the prices were also fantastic.
Very bad service...😔
Horrible service. The man at the counter was extremely rude to me and my wife.
Tad pricey, less filling for an average taste.
US citizens please pay attention to when you are spending money with this business. My total in German money was EURO 7.30. US total $7.16. The young lady charged me $10. They are liars and cheaters. And if the owner is for this, this is sad.
The stuff is so nice, i really enjoyed the service
Food was good but it seemed that every one of the staff members hated being there. It was very busy, but none of them were pleasant to the customers at all, they were all very short to the point of almost being rude.
Nice traditional German baker, quite affordable for the location at the airport. I had a butterbrezel and a salmon sandwich and they were awesome.
Just had a very disturbing racist encounter with a younger lady working for this establishment. Blatantly ignoring to take my order and choosing to help other customers.
So all the other restaurants or cafes are closed this is at 17 50 on a Tuesday which makes no sense but when did Germans make sense! So we found this place and the food looked wonderful in the display cabinet but thats where the positive things stopSandwiches🥪 and big pretzel 🥨 we had were so dry to a point u think it could cut your mouth open. They were just a let down, sandwiches didnt even have butter on them.So they dont keep it very fresh as it could of been sitting their for a few hours.Staff the guy who served us was just plain unfriendly and didnt ask or warm our foods up, he just didnt seem to care. Not one staff member had a smile and we seem to be a burden on them, lot of talking and shouting at the back but not much real customer service going on.I know its an airport but still ..this place had no service or friendliness.Just aviod this place.
Best bakery in the airport - I always visit them for many years when transiting via FRA.Coffee is mediocre here. Go for pretzels and sandwiches here, and go for coffee in some other places.
Counter to other reports - was full, but not overcrowded. Coffee Late was a bit watery, despite the machine not being cheap. Sandwich and cookies were tasty - as I remember them from the past. But the staff was by far the rudest I’ve ever encountered in a coffee shop - not sure whether just a bad day or general frustration. Will avoid it for at least a couple of years.
Payments by card are not accepted! That’s a shame! Shame also cause we are in an airport and also as your are asking me to pay 4€ for a small bottle of water again shame on you!
I was at the checkout and saw on the register that there was an item added that I did not order. I pointed it out, and the man took it off, although not at all apologetically. I almost payed another five euros for nothing. That experience left a bad taste on my tongue. But the food is just ok, not terrible, so its not one star just yet. Also pretty expensive, but its an airport so its to be expected.
Not tried anything but seems very busy with some great smelling bakery treats … we tried cappuccino with nutty and butter croissant
4 euro a bottle of 0.5 l of water? We call it robbery in the civilized world.
Very bad and rude service!
The store is in a airport and is not taking canadian dollers.
Most unfriendly staff I ever encountered -even on an airport. Despite this- quality isn’t matching the prices. rip off
Waiter was very rude and sandwiches are average and overpriced.
The employee was very disrespectful. He threw the napkin on top of the bag and was overall rude. The sandwiches are also not tasty and are overpriced even for airport standards. Do not go here!!
Not happy with their stale pastries
Nice staff (being an airportand large assortment of fresh sandwiches and pastries.
Best sandwich in an airport. Take the one with the sausage. Delicious
Service is fast.Best bakery on the A-Z terminal
Absolutely unfriendly. Don’t go there. I waited for 10 min, totally unorganised queuing, people going left and right and when I was finally at the counter they accused me of having cut the queue and refused to serve me. Totally unacceptable. Should get their licence removed.
So good! 20/10. I got a sandwich and a chick plate croissant during my layover and was absolutely immaculate
My salami baguette wasnt fully cut in half and barely had any meat. So I was left with half a baguette
Staff (guywas rude. Not the best cappuccino. Medium size costed 4.7€0,5L water costed 3.9€ !!!!Definitely I would NOT Recommend.
Probably the beat place to grab something if you’re in terminal Z
Amazing breads and sandwiches. Having their pizzas Salami or Veggie is a must.
The food was good but next time please dont answer me in English when Im speaking your language!
Want stale old pastrys and bland awful coffee? This is the place.I even asked the server if the pastrys were fresh from today, he looked shocked and replied "of course". One bite, one sip and straight into the bin, even after a long haul over night flight🤢
I would give 0 Stars - coffee is water and overpriced there are better shops in the airport never again
Best pretzels on the airport!!! So nice staff! Thank you!
Super rude service! I ordered a cappuccino and received an amaericano. When I went back to change the order was immediately told I need to order the right coffee next time. I answered that I specifically ordered a cappuccino and they started arguing that I didnt. Coffee tasted bad after this service and it would have tasted bad regardless.
If I could, I would rate this place 0 stars. I bought sandwich and coffee here. My debit card was rejected twice, so I paid in cash. I didnt receive any receipt nor proof of tranfers denial. Unfortunately I noticed that my bank a count was charged with the amount of those two failed transfers. Staffs only reaction was "pfff we always give a receipt, its your problem". They also didnt want to show prints from the card payment terminal that were about to prove cards rejection. In short - big and tasteless scam.
Delicious bakery at Frankfurt terminal Z, food is so fresh and bread is so crispy. Very polite and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Good sandwiches. Ask for the clerk to put them in the panini press, esp if you have mozzarella, bc then you get a nice and hot panini with melted cheese. Can’t attest to the coffee or baked goods but the orange juice is decent.Efficient service but don’t expect anything else.A bit expensive but it’s the airport.Enjoy a picture of my half eaten tomato-mozzarella-rocket seeded sandwich!
The only reason this bakery is still open is because its in the airport. Im sure it would be long closed if it werent for that.Service is not friendly. No smile. The sandwich is a disgrace for only two slices of turkey. It is definitely way overpriced for what you get.
Very bad attitude and nasty old foodVery expensiveDon’t go there
They had the best chocolate filled croissants ever. If I ever travel through the Frankfurt Airport again I will definitely stop and visit Herberer’s.
Overpriced. Because they can. The coffee is watery and from a maschine that is not recommended at all. The pretzel looking donut was okay.
Coffee cream, do you know where the cream is??
I would definitely agree with other reviewers. Savory pastries look way better then they actually taste. I would not order coffee here again either. It would be helpful and beneficial to both travelers and staff if all pastries were tagged with their names and prices.I feel like the place is understaffed for the customer traffic it gets. Maybe someone called out, maybe not. Or maybe this is the reason why their attitudes and customer service is blah.Just like no one seems to be cleaning tables around here. I challenge you to find a clean table at 9.30 am. Missing that German Ordnung- vibe.
Turkey meat was undercooked and the guy working there didnt put in my order of coffee until I asked the lady and then she asked me if I paid. Didnt finish the sandwich. Threw it away.
Very nice and conveniently located bakery in the domestic terminal. We had nice sandwiches and beer from here. Highly recommended.
Huge variety of baked goods but they do take awhile to prepare coffee.
This is the most efficient airport I have ever been in. All the staff was eloquent and friendly. It has spoiled all other airports for me. Very clean and free wifi.
