Carefully-presented, upmarket breakfasts, posh burgers and pizza in spacious restaurant and terrace.
Cool spot. Great service, delicious Ruben.
Steak night here I come. Visited on a Monday night for steak night. $28 gets you a beautiful cut of steak cooked perfectly, served on a bed of French fries, and accompanied by a pot of beer. There was ample seating, fast and friendly service. Music wasnt too loud which was good for chatting with friends. You can also order and pay via your phone which I thought was cool.
Great spot for post work drinks.Youre better off ordering from the counter to avoid surcharges when paying via QR code. The drinks were fairly priced for cocktails. The chips were great for the portion size, however the main dishes were slightly on the pricey end, and the flavour just missed the mark.Would recommend for some chips and drinks.
Enjoyed a Monday Steak special which comes with a beer or wine, but also can pick a soft drink. Person taking my order didn’t ask how I wanted my steak, but it came out great at medium raw, more towards the medium.Fries were pretty good too.
Was a great lunch, especially as we pre ordered so food was really quick. QR code ordering and shared tab works well too
Loved the vibe in the restaurant. Very busy during lunch time. Great experience with the food. The service was too quick and the staff was very friendly.
Early morning, it was a perfect breakfast. I thought it would be normal to have but all of a sudden I felt like am having a large meal. Its been a while Ive tasted really nice food.
Good staff and variation of dishes incl vegetarian. Portions are reasonably large. Beer and wine list while not extensive is pretty solid, does include some craft beer.
If you like undercooked and over salted fries, this place is for you. The food was mediocre with a high end price tag. And whats worse is that they automatically subscribe you to their email spam when you order on the app at the table. We got there before the lunchtime rush kicked in, so the kitchen has no excuse for such a bad meal.
Great experience, really friendly staff, good food, and a nice venue. I was part of a large group, so food choices were selected a day or two beforehand. The speed of delivery to our tables was excellent. Highly recommend
Came here yesterday for my Birthday lunch. Such a warm & friendly welcome from Nick & the team. Food was delicious & very reasonably priced. Prosecco was excellent & again very well priced. Loads of choices if you are Vegetarian or gluten free plus lots of meat options. Highly recommend the baked brie, home made falafels, arancini & halloumi salad. Happy & relaxed vibe across the whole venue & large outside area (Dog’s welcome for the warmer weather Thank you very much & will definitely be back soon.
Nik and the team provide a warm friendly environment with outstanding service. The food options for veggie and gf are excellent. Very reasonably priced. First time there but most certainly won’t be the last.
Nice pub in Melbourne CBD. Didnt try the food on this occasion but the menu looked good
Service was adequate and the space good for larger groups. However, honestly some of the worst, most overpriced food Ive ever had. I only ate half and still feel ill, 8hrs later.
Had the best experience ever at Henry and the Fox. We only had a limited time and everyone went out of their way to make sure we got our food in the time frame. Not only that, the food was AMAZING! The gluten free steak sandwich and the normal steak sandwich, my husband got, were the best sandwiches weve ever had and the chips were perfect as well 110/10
Came for brunch and both the food and service were impeccable. Special thanks to Barry for being so obliging with an order.
Delicious food, great service and very inviting atmosphere. Had a delicious steak sandwich and tasty cold beer 🍻
Was over for a catch up with colleagues. Spacious cafe with lots of indoor/outdoor seating. Had a sizeable portion filled with patrons even though it was Monday afternoon around 3:30.Hot chocolate and the chai lattes came in tall water glasses, impressive size. My flat white was good. I really wanted to try their brownie cookie but it was sold out.
I’d been to Henry and the Fox a few times, and they consistently delivered delicious meals that were great for both brunch/lunch and dinner. Service was also always friendly and prompt, and the venue was great for after-work drinks and any large gatherings.
Came to Melbourne for the day and stopped off here before an appointment. I had the baked Brie and a red wine. Food was lovely, the Brie had a delicious hint of Rosemary and the pita had tasty herbs and spices. Lovely service also.
Went for a lunch with some work colleagues, Barry and the crew were fantastic. We were warmly welcomed and nothing seemed to be too much effort for them. Not many beers on tap but a great wine selection and fantastic food. Already looking forward to my next visit!
Great experience! Strong family feeling. Dessert was a highlight
Food was OK, beer was the usual pale ale styles. Place itself was busy with room for 70 or 80 people. I prefer individuality and different beers, so not my kind of place.
Absolutely fantastic Father’s Day Tomahawk Masterclass . A fabulous experience from ordering to delivery . Well done guys hang in there we will visit the restaurant in person after lockdown !
Food was ok, what I would have expected. General service of drinks was good but our food order took over an hour to come out. It was busy but well had to ask where our food was. A bit disappointed that I was unable to have a tab and pay at the end for all our guests, the ordering had to be done online and paid for each seperate order, so everytime you wanted another drink. Itll make claiming my expenses difficult
The team were very efficient and organised with the adherence to the requirements for leaving details, spacing of seating for social distancing and clear signage to avoid confusion. The service was personable, friendly and attentive. The food was amazing, so tasty and beautifully presented. It came out quickly, so great for a quick lunch if you need, but youd feel comfortable spending more time if you have it. Dining is currently limited to 2 hours per sitting and they have a reduced menu, but are still providing a quality dining experience in spite of the current circumstances. Easy to book online and get availability confirmed immediately.
This tucked away restaurant is well worth a visit. It’s great for drinks after work, lunch during the week and brunch and lunch on the weekends. The menu has something for everyone; my last visit on the weekend I had a delicious burger and one of my friends who is a vegetarian had plenty of choices as well. I definitely recommend the sweet potato waffle which I had for brunch last time. Bloody Mary’s are also delicious. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Take a look, I’m sure you will be happy you did
Such a great place! I love it that it has different areas. Staff is friendly and always smiling. The quality of customer service is outstanding. The food was great but the coffee, oh God, the coffee was above and beyond!
Great food, great atmosphere. Really good options for all kinds of folk - vegan, vegetarian, omni.
Really lovely staff and delicious food. Korean burger highly recommend as well as the chocolate dessert!
Great bottomless lunch which was very filling for 2 people. Location is outside but with plenty of shade from the trees in a quiet street of the CBA.
It has lovely indoor amd outdoor seatings. The staff are friendly. The menu covers a wide range of varieties. I ordered a medium rare 200 g eye fillet steak, which was cooked well (closer to medium, but acceptable). Pairing the steak with sweet potato fries was a nice twist, love this combination.
So good!Visiting Melbourne for the day, and we decided that a late breakfast was in order. This place looked ok from the outside, so we ventured in.We were welcomed at the door, and it immediately became apparent that the place was popular with local business people. Lots of suits, laptops, and business meetings surrounded us. The whole feeling was very relaxed and comfortable, though. The menu offered a huge range to choose from, including alcoholic milkshakes (!!!!! We opted for sourdough toast and banana bread, accompanied by hot chocolate and an iced latte.Oh My Goodness! Just amazing! So first of all, the serving sizes were generous. Two fat slices from a giant banana bread, surrounded by chantilly cream (more like a heavenly custardand fresh berries. Two huge slices of sourdough accompanied by butter and jam. Doesnt look so big in my pic, but believe me, the plates are enormous.Every bite was heaven. There was no way we could finish it all, but we gave it our best effort.
Amazing hosts, service and a quality experience. The staff know their food sources and produce high quality fare. Ask for the secret vegan menu!
Good vibe, good service .Well priced meals.
Food : Yummy PizzasInterior: Clean and AttractiveCleanliness: GoodStaff : very FriendlyOn a average of two visits, the welcome was really good, the choice of foods are great and the time of food delivery is also quick.Had a couple of drinks and the choices of craft beers on tap were goodA must stop by place !
Had the "Myura Station" - Wagyu rump steak with sweet potato fries and salad.Steak was cooked pretty well (medium - a bit of pink on inside), but mushroom sauce is not generous. Service is okay. Presentation could be better!
A friend and I booked dinner at Henry and the Fox before we went to see a show in town. The Fork had 50% off food, which is a fantastic deal.As soon as we walked in, I was already impressed - the atmosphere was beautiful and the place was full of suited corporate workers at the end of a busy Thursday. We got seated at our Reserved table straight away and shortly water and menus followed. Our waitress was fantastic. She asked us what the plan for the evening is and, when we told her we’re going to the theatre, she checked what time and where we had to be there and said she’ll ensure we get looked after as a priority, so we’re not late. This was entirely her own initiative, which was above and beyond our expectations. The menu looked very attractive and she was happy to offer some recommendations. As we arrived during Happy Hour, I wanted to try our the Espresso Martini. I asked her what it’s like and she advised that some people find it a bit sweet and, if I don’t like sweet, I may not be happy. Before I managed to say anything, she had already gone to the bar, poured be a sip to taste, and brought it back to me. Once again - above and beyond! I said, “What about some Gin & Tonic?” Minutes later, I had a massive glass of Strawberry Beefeater and Dry Tonic - it was delicious. My friend got a great Virgin Mojito.I was tempted by the Squid Ink Linguine, which is served with Pipis, Calamari, and Baby Octopus and has just the right amount of Chilli in it.My friend got a Minute Steak, cooked to perfection, and accompanied by Chips and a Salad.I wish we had more time, so we could’ve tasted some more of the food, but we’ll definitely be back.I’m a fan!!
The squid linguine was ok although theres plenty better around Melbourne. The Wagyu rump however was decent and the sweet potato chips were very good as well. The foxtails was delicious. Nice casual atmosphere with friendly service. Would visit again.
Had Mushroom Cheesy Rissoto.Superb Tasty.Friendly staffAmazing ambience.Vegetarian dish in the room
Most of shops are close on weekend, especially Sunday but this café is open! Nice smashed avocado with toasts and you can choose whether you want to order eggs or hash potatos which are extra cost of course. I guess I paid something around $35 total with one glass of white wine which I feel its a bit expensive. The food taste was great and there was no problem with service. The staff were very helpful.
So yummy so good! Great food and environment for group catch up with friends. Big menu and fast services, it is definitely a hidden gem! Friendly waitstaff and extremely helpful. Im allergic to coriander and she put that in the order paper, unfortunately the chef overlooked and I had to hand picked all of them out. Otherwise it is really a great place to enjoy your meal!
Excellent cafe, we came here twice for breakfast while on holiday in Melbourne staying at the intercontinental just across the road. The waitress even remember what we had the day before! Food is excellent, as was the coffee, and decor inside. 10/10. Real nice food, great portions and friendly staff.
I actually discovered this place my accident after my usual place of breakfast was closed even though though opening hours are from 7 am to 7 p.m., I arrived at 8:30 a.m. to which the cafe was still closed. Anyway, I decided to walk into this place to give their breakfast menu ago and boy let me tell you, the cosy feeling of This place is so comforting that you can almost call this home. In addition to this their breakfast is delicious. This morning I ordered the eggs benedict with fried halloumi which was cooked to perfection. All the flavours in portion and was just perfect. It wasnt oily like other places that serve eggs Benedict. Ill definitely be coming back to try every item on their breakfast menu.
Food was amazingly tasting had the hash browns breakfast, eggs were slightly rubbery and one of the hash browns slightly burnt but overall good tasting and quality food.Service was very slow took 40mins for first meal to get here and an hour for the last so If your in a rush not worth it but if you have time to sit around the food was good.
Great location, excellent atmosphere and good range of beers and wines.
Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. We were actually surprised with their pizza, very nice! All the food we ordered was quite enjoyable. The place is spacious but at the same time cozy. Good option to bring little kids as well. The price was reasonable. It was a pleasent experience.
The gnocchi was yummy, the ambience was great too. We went there as a big group and we were not told about the fixed menu for big groups, nor were we told to pick items for the fixed menu, it was done for us. However, the manager/staff were helpful and let us all order from the main dinner menu. Service was slow for this reason, but the food was great overall.
Right in the heart of the city is Henry and the Fox, an spaceful place perfect for big groups with a good setting in outdoor or indoor areas. The pizza is really good, the base is crunchy, most of the ingredients are fresh and the price is equivalent. The atmosphere of the place is amazing, well decorated with good food and a friendly and welcoming staff.
Service is ok, food can take a while to come out especially if youre eating in a group and do not order in advance. Food prices are a little more than what I would expect to pay, however serving prices are decent.
