Actually enjoyed the food and it is a nice spot for chilling. Very clean and calm place.

I love hells kitchen! The service is great, food is good. The area however is not great but that cant be blamed on the restaurant. The only thing I truly hate are the bathrooms because of my vertigo the floors and tiles in the cubicle make me sick immediately. But great vibe, definitely place to check out.

Food and drinks were amazing. Especially the Nachos! Massive portion and nice taste. Great lively atmosphere. Only negative was the brunette bar lady, she has a negative and dismissive attitude and needs to work on her customer service skills.

Stopped by for dinner and a few drinks. Lovely food and drinks! Portions were very generous, wish I’d been able to fit in a few more of the sweet potato fries alongside the delicious maple glazed bacon burger. Only slight peeve was that the bourbon was served with ice when asked for without, but very tiny! It was very peaceful when we were there mid afternoon and early evening on a Saturday. Would love to have caught a live band or two!

One of my favourite bars in Johannesburg. It’s great to have an institution like this in Melville, and that it survived covid. Its a favourite local for so many. Keep on supporting the local music scene!

We came here as our first dinner stop during our Johannesburg visit. We arrived to the area during a “load shed” in which the electricity was out in the area. Hell’s Kitchen was open during this and was candle lit, with a couple lights and a generator for music. The food and drinks were fantastic and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend!

Hells is aways a great place to just relax and have a few drinks with friends. The food is always amazing and the new items on the menu are incredible.

Great music, good food. Liked the HK larger tooNot so great tonight. Difficult to get served, very frustrated watching a bar person chilling and chatting and dancing while the bar is 3 deep. Left early had a beer somewhere else.....

This is a place for the locals for sure. Same crowd everytime.Nachos was below average and had to send mine back for more toppings. Tomato was old. Not sure well go there again.

Hells Kitchen is a favourite for many people in Joburg. I like it too for its cosy setup that feels very homely.My only issue is the overcrowding which Ive experienced. Perhaps due to live performances but the space can be small so crowd control would be great.

Stopped by for a quick drink. The Rum and Caramel milkshake is a must have! The staff are so friendly and kind. The barstools could be a bit more comfy. Definitely recommended if you want to wind down.

Best atmosphere and bar food in Millville by far. Some of the other places may be more "Vibey" but cannot stand against the food quality and taste. Ribs are excellent 👌

Decor delightful.Service is kind of slow, often you walk in there and get ignored.Rachel is awesome and attentive. We dont go there if she isnt there.

Skip this place. We ordered 3 pizzas, nachos, Mac & cheese balls and the ribs. The ribs were ok, they were slightly dry, but had a good flavour to them. They were luke warm. One of the 3 pizzas arrived, a margarita and it was bland, thought the crust was nice and thin. 30 minutes later another pizza turns up. One pizza never turned up, despite the waitress coming back to check several times what the order was. The chef clearly wasn’t on the ball, she was apologetic but didn’t have a clue how to sort the issue. We eventually left refusing to pay for the final missing pizza, handed the Mac balls in a take away box and sent on our merry way. The Mac balls are over fried, greasy and tasteless. We won’t be back.

Terible service! i was there yesterday night 2.23.22 The girl at the bar has no customer service skills very unprofessional ewwshe was on her phone the whole time with her DJ friend basically she was so focused on making sure her dj friend had enough Jagermeister than actual paying customersi wouldnt recommend this place to anyone its rubbish

Very vibrant place to be at. Food was 100% on point chef is extremely talented and definitely cares about making food.Place I recommend and will definitely be back..People are just nice and open minded to be around.Thank you for the experience @Hells Kitchen

The service was great. The food took quite a long time to make and some ingredients were missing due to there not being stock. The flavours of the food were wonderful, maybe just an off-day in Hells Kitchen, usually a much better experience than the last. Come on guys, dont let lockdown get you, youre better than this!

I love Hells Kitchen unfortunately am not a kind of person to snap follow!And they are blessed to be on the coolest street in Africa and on top 15 globally😊

A few couches to sit on and tables. There is an outside seating are and a small "courtyard" are for people to chill. The music is great, but a bit loud at times to have a good conversation. A nice size bar, with a good selection. The selection is obviously geared to serve a specific market. Multicultural so it makes it a great place to hang out. Wish the "smoking libary area" was for non smokers. Such a nice chill place on the couches. Off Street parking. Efficient service with good choice of waiters and barmen. Keep it up. Melville, especially 7th Street still has a problem with cellphone theft and petty crime with car guards a nuisance and dark areas an issue. You never feel safe in the streets walking. BEWARE OF CELLPHONE THEFT, VALUABLES. IT HAPPENS EVERYWHERE IN MELVILLE, ESPECIALLY 7TH Str, 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Ave.

Perfect place to go for a proper grill & old school rock! Local beers on tap and Hells Kitchen favourite Hell fire (Cinnamon flavoured whisky). Always good place for a good night out!

Firstly I gotta give props to the guy behind the bar awesomely friendly helpful and awesome taste in vodka omg Baliga is my new favourite it was amazing!!!Lol any ways so we stayed for both sets the band was Rambling Bones they were way impressive and I never heard a single compliant, Only good things we had 3 different people serving our tables and all 3 were firstly so beautiful, very attentive and helpful working as a team clearing tables wonderful service A for effort.It is upper market at 100 +/- bucks a burger but!!! You get what you pay for the food looks amazing. I didnt eat but mostly everyone else did and said it was delicious. The group consensus was order the ribs or wings burger.The vibe is relaxed and casual bring about 250 - 500 with you for a full day of fantasic fun also...PLEASE IGNORE THE PARKING GAURDS THEY HOUND AND BEG AND TRY SELL DRUGS I WAS OFFERED WEED AND KAHT (CAT).
