Interactive tour through beer giant's history in former brewery, with a tasting room finale.
It is an epxerience! If you doubt, i can tell you it is worth it…but you will only go here for one time I think.Very commercialised but also very well planned on the different activities you could do during the tour. It is planned to be around 90 minutes, but if you want you can easily spend more than 2hours inside. You also get two beer for free plus one small beer during the tour.We did not buy ticket online, but it went pretty fast with the que.
Had a blast, love the self paced tour style. The tour guides where knowledgeable and also funny. Make reservations ahead of time as it sells out fairly fast. You get beers along the way and at the end
Great tour of the brewery. You get two free beer tokens for the bar at the end and you also get a small glass of Heineken during your tour as well. At the end, you can also buy a customised bottle to enjoy.
I rate it 5*. You do not have to love the beer to enjoy the tour. Its funny, exciting though i would prefer more in the history. You can enjoy various activities throughout the tour and get a few beers (even non alc which is better than the original). You can purchase the rooftop entry as well. That is one extra beer. We had bad weather so depends on your luck
Great Tour, and great to see the history and story of Heineken through the years, would recommend the trip to anyone visiting Amsterdam. Only negative was, from arriving into the building nobody was about, or no signage as to where to go. When we eventually got going on our tour the guide had started his talk before we managed to get into the room, and this happened 3 times throughout the trip as there was simply too many in each group. The beer tasting was great, but more tables/chairs needed to meet the crowds of people in the bar.
A must visit experience in Amsterdam. The visit takes approximately 90 minutes and its a mix of Heineken history, brewing process and 4D interactive experience. You get a few free beers as part of the tour at the end, but you can have a soft drink or non alcohol beer if you prefer.
We had a great time at the Heineken Expericence!! A both fun and informative exhibition on the history of Heineken and their brand and how their beers are made. Why did I not give this 5 stars though…- You need to buy your tickets online and there was trouble with our international cards. It seemed like a website problem. There’s no ticket booth at the venue.- The bar at the end of the experience was filthy. The floor was incredibly sticky and they were out of their Heineken Silver beer.I do recommend the experience but there is room for improvements from Heineken.
Really lovely experience, very well explained about the history of Heineken beer. Make sure you keep your wrist band safe as you get free drinks with that at the end of the tour. The only problem was, they really packed a lot of us in at once and sometimes we were left at the back of the herd not being able to hear what the guide was saying. So making it into smaller more intimate group sizes would help. Other than that, it’s a lovely experience!
Such a cool location to learn more about the brand and personalize a bottle. It is a truly unique experience that teaches you a lot about the brand. The tour trough their first brewery is cool. The part for the Champions league is awesome however, the F1 part is kind of dissapointing in comparison. In the end of everything there is a bar where you get 2 fresh and cold Heineken beers.
It’s a very pleasant experience. For anyone who likes beers, especially Heineken it worth it. Nice staff and good explanation about the process of production and of course the end of the tour at the bar, drinking a good beer. I enjoyed a lot and would recommend
Really fun experience, very interactive, nice ambience at the bar and cool rooms for pictures. They really make it fun and are very friendly, previously online reservations is better so you can have a smooth experience, morning weekdays its obviously less crowded
It was a nice experience and i really recommend it. In addition, the photographer lady is so kind and talented. Do not forget to ask her to take your pictures!
Pretty fun experience for a team-building. Not sire if I spend my own money for it. The whole experience is geared towards taking pictures so you post them online and tag them. The tour is self guided so you can spend as much time as you want in each area. The beers you get are fairly small.
While the tour started a little slow and overly crowded, it ended up being a ton of fun. Walking through the building and getting a bit of history was pretty neat to see. Walking to being bottled felt like being on a game show and then the bottling experience was like something out of the Minions. The bicycles and photo booths were so much fun! We went at 5pm, so by the time we made it to the bar it was full and jumping. Definitely a place for the younger crowd. The staff worked amazingly hard to try and provide the best experience possible.
Great experience, ~90 mins self guided tour learning about the history and brewery process. You get to taste 1 small pint of Heineken during the tour and at the end of the tour you get to drink 2 pints for free at the inhouse bar.
Very touristy. Little bit of history and then the rest is a bit visually overstimulating. The ticket included 2.5 beers though and an opportunity to personalize a beer bottle! Overall cool tour.
It was a fun experience but wouldnt say it was really a tour. It was more of a technology touch and feel museum for adults. Games, picture booths, etc. The bar where you get 2 beers at the end of the tour was crowded and sticky verywhere because of all the beer slop. Your feet were always stuck on the floor. It is cool to say you did it but hind site Id probably rather spend the money at a bar and have a better time.
The experience would have been unique, if the group was not a "mass". 50 people is too much. There were a maximum of 3 entertainers who should have created the atmosphere...I think. They were tired and exhausted and speechless. Then... any guide disappeared and for about 30 minutes we walked around the rooms alone. Bad feelings.
(bar on the top floor)Excellent meeting venue!Zero on tap was really good, much less sweet than when in the bottle - Heineken should consider not using a special glass for zero in this venue, some people like to switch between no alcohol and you always get questions when you do thatDown points as a few years ago the range at the bar was bigger to choose from - have something for the beer geeks
A must when in Amsterdam, you will never taste Heineken fresher anywhere else. Very interesting tour & the staff are excellent. I strongly advise visiting a coffeeshop before taking the tour, you wont regret it.
Brought a friend here for his birthday. We went in the VIP tour and it was so much fun. Learnt some of the history of Heineken and was brought for a beer tasting of 5 different beers that are matched up with different foods.Custom bottle of beer given to each person too. Such an experience!
I took the VIP tour with Josephine as our guide. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. The history behind the company and beer was interesting. The food and beer tasting was well executed with well chosen pairings.
Good experience, one of the highlights of my holiday trip so far. Very interactive and friendly staff to improve your experience at every point. Along with the very fun and interactive bar area being able to pour your own pint of Heineken. Really enjoyed the games floor with the ability to play FIFA with a friend.
The Heineken Experience is one of its kind. Don’t worry if you haven’t purchased your tickets in advance, you can also go there and purchase it. The tour is on an average 90 minute long unless you like to read each placard and take pictures in every spot. There are group slots available each 15 minutes. The staff is very friendly and helpful.Overall, the tour is very commercialized, but in a good way of course.
You can’t go to Amsterdam and not visit the Heineken Experience. We did nearly every museum in Amsterdam and this beats all. Interesting information, fresh beer, and just an overall enjoyable experience. Free beer, interactive activities and a good atmosphere. 10/10
The VIP tour was wonderful! The expert guide told us in detail about the history of the factory and how to make the beer. We were a group of 10 people and it was very easy to communicate closely with the guide and with each other. We had access to a private and secret bar and received a personalized gift. In total I had 8 beers: Heineken and 4 other types from the catalogue.I recommend it because you really receive VIP attention and the experience is unique.Proost!
A very touristic but still entertaining tour. Youre lead through the brewing process and get to know everything about the Heineken beer in a very nice walk through experience.Unfortunately the beer isnt brewed directly here, but you still get a fresh sample of the golden cold drink at the end.
Whats not to like about a beer tour? You get one sample plus 2 full beers on the tour. You can use one of your beer pins to pour your own against others. You can win a pin. Pretty cool to do with some good history about the brand.
We have visited the Heineken Experience on Sunday, we had booking for 2 PM but we reach there at 1 PM and they let us in. We have started with introduction and continue the tour. The place was awesome and we did like it very much and also they gave us like 3 beer in whole tour time and the beer was really good and fresh.
We had an awesome time at the Heineken museum - not what I expected at all. Many interactive guides along the way and a chance to taste the beer at different stops. The best part of the tour was the pouring challenge at the very end of the tour. A fun place to go with friends or with beer lovers!
It was very fun tour, Id definitely recommend it. Better to come earlier during the day to avoid long lines. Also the tour includes 3 small beers (just saying :).
This exceeded my expectations! I was expecting just a couple of free drinks and a small tour of the history. But they really made the tour fun, interspersing interactive things to do, small talks from Heineken staff, and self guided readings and videos along the way. Well worth it! I really enjoyed it.
It was a fun and educative experience. I had a good time and the tour guides were excellent in their presentations. The staffs are friendly and welcoming. Maybe its a Netherlands thing because people generally were warm and kind! Would definitely recommend!!!!
Very tourist-ish and fun experience, buying the tickets you can also drink 2 pints at the end. Better buy your tickets some time before or you have the chance of running without it.There are some interactive and 4D on it that is very nice too.
Awesome brewery tour with some pretty impressive commercial experiences to go along with it. Much more than just a beer tasting and worth the €21 p.p easily.
Absolutely recommended experience in Amsterdam, do not miss it! They give you a great presentation, 2.5 beers and many fun! I think it is wort to visit, doesnt matter you like the beer or the company of Heineken or not! 🍻🍻🍻
Youre paying for marketing...dont forget that. But its worth a fun run through with a group of people. Youll come out happy if you like a beer. If you dont like beer, its going to be boring. Its amazing to see the old brewing kettles and to think about the 150 year history, but, most of the tour is focused on marketing Heineken. The virtual experience isnt the best virtual experience, but for the price, you cant moan at all. Its 30 minutes walking from Centraal station.
Visited at noon, and booked online a few hours before. Was great to learn the history of Heineken and how it come to be so popular. Best part is the tasting area at the end of the tour where you can sample the products and even compete in pouring the perfect pint
Well spend hours during my visit to Amsterdam, a great bear tour experience, ticket cost €21 including 3 glass of Heineken bear which somehow I think it more tasty drinking in here maybe because it straight from the factory, the tour takes around 1.5 hours depending on our own pace, what I like was 3D animation presentation and know about Heineken story, a lot of spot to take good photo, but I think if you not a bear fans or drink it then better to spend time elsewhere
Great experience - would recommend irrespective of whether your a beer lover or not. The whole experience was in English which I totally appreciate. You learn about the history, the process, tasting, neon light and 3D effects! One of the top things to do in Amsterdam
We had the privilege of visiting in March 2011. We purchase the I Amsterdam card, which had one entry ticket for the museum. At the time it was an interactive tour, you learned about which bacteria, hops and barley were used to create the original recipe, and you were also part of the experience by helping turning hops into a large barrel in the brewing kitchen. At the end of your tour they offered a pint of Heineken to end your day. There’s gift shop at the end of the tour where you can purchase your own custom Heineken glasses, and Heineken bottles custom to you.
this, in my opinion, is a tourist trap. I would not go here. You don’t really learn anything about beer and it’s not special at all…save your money in my opinion. SPOILER ALERT: you walk through a bunch of rooms with screens and then drink beers
In general its a beautiful experience. It is in the city center and its very easy to find. The experience is based on the history of Heineken and a degustation of the beer. It is present some 3D animation and a lots of a beautiful places to take a photos too.
It is an amazing experience I can recommend it to everyone, it is a must when you visit Amsterdam. One of the best places and definitely the best beer factory I have ever visited. The beer tasted great which comes with the tour, and also the way of processing it was explained in details and the history of the Heineken and especially their way of marketing which made them phenomenal. 😊
It’s a nice place to bring tourists especially because they market themselves very well. The copper tanks are the prettiest room and the history of the brewery is interesting. There are a few interactive places, some more exciting, some a bit pointless, like turning yourself into a beer bottle which is less fun than what it sounds. I’ve been here a couple of times with different guests and the place always changes, adding something different, however I think it’s too pricey for what we get. Also I remember in the past having a much bigger gift shop with lots of variety and cool stuff but this was reduced and it dos not stimulate an “impulsive purchase” anymore. Bottom line, visiting once to know it is ok, but not necessary to repeat (unless you have guests who really want to!)
This is a great place to have fun and experience the world of Heineken. Fun interactive museum to find out about how Heineken started and how it became what it is today. Free beer during and after the tour!
I have been to plenty of breweries in my day, and this is the best one. A great experience indeed. They even have a Heineken challenge which results in free beer. Definitely a must go!
By far, one of the best experiences when in Amsterdam. If you enjoy beer, do not miss it. If you don’t enjoy beer, go and see it. Beautiful experience with a lot of history. Real fun time.
Love the place, the tour and the souvenirs. We took the VIP tour and is totally worth it. Hour host Josephine was super nice and professional. Great experience!
Absolutely loved the Heineken Experience. We had a great time. The tour was really interesting and I learnt a lot about the process of making beer. We were provided with lots of samples beer. I remember that it was 2 glasses by the end of the visit (before coronaand last time it was only one glass.
