Always a beautiful relaxing walk with lovely scenery

The forest is beautiful and the path is well kept. There are some cool features nearby to look at and the views are great along the way. If youre lucky you might meet a fae in there.

Needs to be better sign posted for like small walks with kids

Fab walk. Half moon bay is a great spot for kayaking and stand up paddling 😊

A nice forest with a small walk, nice but not too special.

Very good natural walk.

In my opinion this is Sligo’s best nature walk. There’s a 4.5km loop from the car park back along the first avenue, crossing the newly formed trail to the second avenue and winding back along the stunning views of Lough Gill through the native woodlands. Its only a five min drive from the city and well worth it!

Wonderful place, one of my favorite places.

Wow, what a beautiful place, you can easily sync to nature here. You will love the walk in the forest. The forest is dense, you can see shadows everywhere. We will visit this place again for sure. There is also a lake inside with beautiful scenery. I strongly recommend visiting this place if you are living nearby.

So beautiful and peaceful a truly 💕 lovely walk. I could stay for hours gazing at Lough Gill.

Lovely walk around the Lough Gill lake . There are many swans in the lake and great place for the kids as the swans come really close to them to take the feed . Walk is in complete greenery in a loop and beautiful tall trees . The walk is kids friendly and buggy can also be carried along .

One of the most beautiful and easiest forest walks I have done. Trails well maintained and lots of options.

A nice short walk around the forest and also as you come into the car park on your left is another walk on fairly soft terrain

Attended today for a triathlon event. Wasnt really aware of this place before, but its absolutely beautiful, great location for a family outing

Lovely walk along lough Gill lake and through the forest , lovely views and plenty of places to rest and relax , even on very hot days the tree provide shade and it alot cooler

Nice easy walk with great view.With 3y old buddy and pregnant wife took us 1.5h.A lot of mushrooms for the kids to discover in August and fairy houses.

Beautiful spot and fab for families. Unfortunatey spoiled by another group of totally inconsiderate people with loud music and a jet ski and complete disregard for others and the wildlife. How do you stop that?

Hazelwood Demesne is located at Half Moon Bay along the shores of Lough Gill. Its WalksCycle Trail, are among the most Beautiful in the Country, views from the of Church Island, Cottage Island and Goat Island and of Lough Gill itself. With Picnic Area and Stunning Lakeside, its 3km Walk, are suitable for all ages, and there shorter alternative routes too.

Love this place for a walk either by yourself or with family, friends or a dog. The loop is just over 3km, although can be shorter with other paths cutting the loop up, and easily manageable for all ages. And all the more exciting with a "cave" half way round.Theres usually enough parking with clear signs to the car park, and accessibility for setting in a boat or canoes/kayaks or other forms of water activities.If youre in Sligo a place to go to!

Great place if you enjoy a walk by the lough Gill or a walk in the forest, so peaceful and very little rubbish throw on ground. Lovely to walk there from sligo Town on a summers day.

Lovely long easy walk through forest beside the lake.

An easy stroll amongst a forest and alongside Lough Gill approx. 20-25 minutes steady walk. The car park hugs a beautiful viewing point inhabited by many beautiful birds, all of whom love human kindness and a little of their bread scraps. Picnic benches are strategically placed together with benches. A wonderful place to stroll, relax and catchup with friends. Enjoy

Great nice forest walk. Come to Sligo, you must see there

Beautiful walk in the forest on the shore line of Lough Gill. Loads of parking. Very popular with joggers also. You will normally find ducks and swans in the waters edge and there are a couple of benches at the edge of the car park and through the walk in the forest if you just want to sit and take in the beauty around you.

A very nice walk along the lake. Lots of ducks and swans beside the car park and wild bird feeders close by.Its an easy walk with no hills and a relaxed atmosphere with dog walkers and families about. As nature walks go its one of my favorites.
