Haxhi in Sarande

We went in for lunch today, and had such a fantastic experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was fast. We ordered the seafood pasta and spicy shrimp, everything was flavorful and delicious. The decor inside is so unusual, and the views over Sarandë are stunning. One of the best meals weve had in our time here. They even gave us some complimentary shots and fruit to finish! Thanks guys, everything was brilliant!

Adequate menu with a mix of local and pan European dishes and local beers. Friendly staff. Cant pay with card, disappointing since most restaurants in Saranda do offer that ability.

Nice family run restaurant, we had the pork and the grilled octopus which was great and served in a large portion. Nice atmosphere and always busy so expect a short wait for a table.

Family run, charismatic staff, good views, big portions, fair priced ! Only knock: only accept cash (normal in Albania).Funky location, but very glad decided to stop by. Interior design is cool !Lastly, seemed they gave free shots & fruits to everyone after their meal.Highly recommend

Had dinner at haxhi yesterday and it was great!Very friendly staff - Had the baked feta, a Greek salad and the garlic feta sauce - fried mix sea fruit and as you can see, it was plenty for 2 :D100% recommendation - come early! It’s always full ;)

Best meal we had in Sarande, the seafood risotto was large enough to share and truly deliciouswe also ordered the mixed seafood plate and bean salad - we were stuffed!service was really nice and the outlook over the harbour lovely. The fruit and raiki at the end was a lovely touch.

The food here is amazing!! You cannot be in Sarande and not go to this place to eat!! I had octopus to eat, best decision ever, it was absolutely amazing!! Also, I ate a chicken soup and my husband fried squid. Everything was good and tasty, but the octopus was the best!! Both staff and the owner are friendly and nice people. There is a parking place under the restaurant, but you have to pay for it(we were asked to pay 500lek).This restaurant is a wonderful one, we will eat here again when close to Sarandë.

Honestly the best restaurant in Saranda.- service is efficient- food is crazy good (this is the only chef in Albania who is able to fry something properly: teach your colleagues that the oil must be hot!!)- price is high but the portions are really big (2 starters and 1 main dish for 2 people is enough)- make sure to come max at 7pm unless you want to wait 1+ hours (no reservations accepted)This place set the standard every “taverna” or restaurant in town should have.Keep going! 👏

We have been in this restaurant last October 2021 and now, August 2022 were back again! We really love how they put personal touches on the food and of course, the spectacular view of the sea! They are also generous giving free fruits and cognac and raki at the end of the meals. We love the seafood risotto, pasta, and grilled seabass! Highly recommended home cooking.

I love this place, food is fresh and tasty. They have best fish soup and seafood platter at very reasonable price. Services are good, waiters speak English. I was so happy when our waiter signed in sign language telling ‘Thank you’ 🥰. Definitely, I recommend this place, you won’t regret 😇

Wonderful! We had baked feta and grilled octopus, one of the best octopus that I’ve ever had. You can’t book a table, you have to wait if the restaurant is full but HR e wait is worth it! They offer a shot and fruit at the end! Really good!!!

This restaurant is very popular so we had to wait 30 min for place for dinner. The food was very good.

Very nice waiters. Big portions and tasty food! I likes that they had a few Spicy dishes I didn’t had that since I was in Albania so I loved the food and herbs😍 The place also looks beautiful. Prices are also good. You have to pay with cash no card so you know.

Haxhi is a family run restaurant that understands to satisfy any wish you have. The food we had tasted fabolous and I can highly recommend the spicy shrimps as a side dish. Unreal taste for people who like to spice things up a bit and enjoy perfectly cooked shrimps.Be aware that Haxhi is very well known. You might have to wait a few minutes if there is no table available the moment you step in, depending on the day and time.

Our favorite place in Sarande! Literally delicious! The shrimp dish was our favorite! We also loved the seafood pasta and grilled vegetables! The staff were super friendly. Amazing views! Free Raki shot at the end! A local gem!

The best place to eat in Sarande.Ambient is cozy with great view of Sarande bay but even more amazing is the seafood risotto we had. One of the best we’ve eaten ever.Staff is also great and friendly. We even got complimentary fruit platter and shots of local rakia on the house.Can’t recommend enough! Must visit if you are in Sarande.

This restaurant is really mandarory! The place is really cool, every single dish is enough to not let you stand up again from the table and the staff is funny and really kind. Also, compared to the Italians restaurants, this one is cheap!

Any God that you believe in will strike you dead if you don’t eat here while in Sarande. I had the fish, she had the seafood risotto. Brought out hot and fresh. Great service all around. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time and I eat out every day. Way to go guys! You are doing it right!!!

There’s a reason this place is one of the top restaurants in Sarande! Not only are their prices very fair, the service is out of this world. They are the very definition of going above and beyond! I was warmly welcomed and seated, they took my order and came back a couple minutes later with a complimentary appetizer. It was obviously delicious. After I finished my incredible meal, I was offered a complimentary cup of coffee or raki. I even tried to refuse, as I’d already gotten the appetizer and I don’t drink alcohol or coffee. They absolutely wouldn’t take no for an answer. Then, when I asked for the bill, it was delivered with a plate of some fruit and a small piece of cake! Absolutely wonderful experience and I will return probably every time I’m back in Sarande.

The visit to this restaurant was one of the best experiences I have ever had in Albania. The staff was very friendly to me and my tourist friends. The food was very delicious with an affordable price. I really recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Saranda, especially if you are a tourist, you wont get disappointed.

Its probably one of the best places to eat around. We wanted to taste sea food, so we asked for recommendations.Not only did they suggest the best to eat, but after a small mistake, they brought us a fish supposed for another table by mistake. We were offered this for free and a lot of apologies.Finally, I recommend this place fully!

I got the seafood pasta which was INCREDIBLE!!! I just toured all over Italy… about 10-12 cities, and this pasta was the best. The service was outstanding as well. Everyone is so kind. The atmosphere in the restaurant is rad too! Such a vibe here. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!

The food is just amazing! The best sea food risotto ever is served here. Ruccola salad is tasty as well. Great cozy environment and good service. Portions are generous. Don’t miss a tres leches here - it’s a gem.

Absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and served in large portions. It was freshly made artfully arranged. The portions were large, but it was quite cheap. The staff is friendly and helpful, and gave us some dips as well as a dessert for free. The view over the bay is also lovely.

The best place to eat in Sarande!! I stayed for three weeks in the city, so I got to try out quite a few places and I couldnt help but always go back here. The food here is the absolute best quality. They always have fresh fish, seafood, and meats and their portions are large. So come hungry and ready to share plates! The value for the quality and freshness of the food is unbeatable. The place is also really cool and there is always a fun crowd of locals and visitors. I had their fresh catch of the day, shrimp, octopus, fish, and rocket salad multiple times and was always happy. My favourite hands down is their seafood mix plate, great to share between two people. You also can have a nice view of the water. The place is run by an entire family, so mum, dad, and siblings so it feels nice to go and support a local restaurant. Highly recommend this place and I wish I could come back whenever I felt like it !

This is the best restaurant in Saranda you can ever find. Like really, the best. Its a family-run business, we were met very warmly and with care, which is already over expectations. And then, the food was just overwhelmingly delicious. We ordered some starters (definitely try a cheese with a smiley face), fish and chicken soups were also great. From all the main dishes we had all the stars go to the seafood risotto. The best Ive ever had. It was so good that it makes me want to get back to Albania and Haxhi just to taste it again.The place itself is decorated with passion, you can spot something special in every single look. All around makes you feel at home and spend a lot of great time inside.There is a WiFi available. You can pay in EUR with a fair exchange rate.Many thanks, we really enjoyed our time! This restaurant was recommended me by the manager of my hotel. This is a great place to have dinner. Sea-view veranda and charming interior combined with delicious sea-food and reasonable prices made me forget about other places to eat. The host and staff are friendly and polite. As a compliment they offered some fruit and a shot of local liquor. I couldnt recommend it enough.

This guys and girls deserve your money!The prices are more than average and food is at the highest level.Great service, I left good tips and than ordered one more glass of wine and they didn’t want to charge it. Also they gave us free plate of fresh fruit and shoots.Recommendation: Order spicy shrimps!

Sincerely I can recommend 😎 The food was tasty. Even though it was full house, we got it quite fast and hot. Its a pity that the place is right in city center, since it would be less crowded 😜 However its obvious... Good food, good localized restaurant and acceptable prices. At the end I must also admit that the service was also kind and helpful. Nothing less, nothing more. Just relax and enjoy your time.

Tasty food at moderate prices. We really enjoyed the time spent there, got very positive vibes. The service was great. Waiters were super helpful up to the point that when we got to know they only accept cash they let us come next day to pay. To say I was surprised is nothing! Would definitely recommend this place, especially if your waiter is the big fella ;)

Honestly, one of the best restaurants I’ve been in Sarandë, went there more than once during my stay. Super friendly and welcoming staff, comfortable and beautiful ambiance.Seafood, pork chops, salads, traditional dishes, you name it! Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. In the end of the meal, try a glass of Raki together with the fruit plates.
