Clothing optional & family-friendly beaches, dog park & picnicking just north of South Beach action.
Amazing open nature park boat ramps parking entertainment BBQ areas only nude beach in south Florida best in 🇺🇸 USA
Even tho the beach is huge, to get to the CLOTHING OPTIONAL part, there is no parking, which really isnt sufficient for a person with walking restrictions... In order to get to that part of the beach, you have to walk over a mile... Which was why we wanted to go there in the first place... So we had to stop between 4-5 due to my ability to walk that far...Personally, if youre going to charge for parking, there needs to be parking close to that as well...
Twenty years later and so many memories. I had an awesome time. The beach is kept clean and protected. Of course the city should think of having power stations installed in the parking area. Overall, awesome experience.
The best spot in Florida to fly a kite, bike riding, catch a fishing boat and of course enjoy the beach. Stop by Skyward kites and the guys will show you how to fly stunt kites. A lot of fun. Additional restrooms would be nice , but I will be back ✅🤙
We went and had a great time, there are umbrellas and loungers to rent if you want them. Plenty of space to set up.We went on a Tuesday to the Naturalist area and it was super pleasant. Parked at the North Lot and walked through the tunnel under the street to essentially the entrance.Right before you get to the beach theres a little shower area for when you leave, perfect for getting the sand off before getting dressed and heading back to normal life.Probably one of our favorite Naturist beaches so far.
Best dog beach around Miami area, bring your dog enjoying the sun and the water !
Always have a great time. Family really enjoyed ourselves. TWU picnic 2022
Absolutely wonderful Park/Marina/Beach. This place has something for everyone in your family or your friends. Theres BBQ stands next to picnic tables, they have benches close to the water so you can enjoy the boats or many water toys in the ocean. Theres also a dog park that stands second to none! Theres food you can buy along with flying huge kites you can rent.. plus theres the fur babies beach! And as a bonus.......A very family friendly atmosphere.
I drove down to Florida, am I daughter Loves this park so we went here a couple of times during my visit I loved it very memorable experience for us
The park is nice and friendly good to hang with friends and family. you will meet different types of personalities there. You cant get an umbrella and chair to rent for the day 20usD - 30/depend on you you have a lunch truck but advise bring your .toliet and shower facility on sites.
Haulover Park off season: Loads of space on the beach, except for the northern clothing optional section. Heads up, public parking lot 2 is closed summer 2022 for construction so if you are planning to naturist on your visit, its about a half mile walk. Appreciated the freshwater showers available between the beach and the public parking lot.
Nice skate park. The kiddos had fun as we Enjoyed the view.
Loved this place! The beach was very clean and the other dogs behaved so well. The dog area is between tower 2 and 3. Parking is super convenient and close and there is a bathroom nearby. Be careful though because the gps takes you to the marina across the street.
I visited the fishing peir for a sunset stroll. A relaxing serine place to watch the sun go down along side some of the biggest finishing boats around!
Very nice park. Cool food trucks event on Tuesdays from 5pm to 10pm.
Parking lot information is very confusing can you still park for free if youre going to go check out the boats and check out the water area or do you have to pay for it? I know that theres an area that you do have to pay for but I dont know about the other areas. Its such a great place to visit such a beautiful area especially sunset time. The only problem is that quite often there are people who have finished all their beers and are part of the scenery. Sometimes the kids that you take to the park should not be listening to some of their conversations
Parking is key here be careful and read the signs or you will get a parking ticket. Park at the side with the marine port and use an small short-walk tunnel under the busy road to get to the other side. There are only two volleyball areas one for little kids and one for adults. Lots of picnic tables but they are for whoever gets them first and they will get full fast!
A great beach whether you get nude or stay clothed. Lots of people. 18 to 80 is the age range It’s well worth the price to park.
Its hard to rate this be abuse we went to the beach, but there is a lot more to do. This place is famous for its inlet but the waves werent too bad when we went. It has multiple public restrooms and they are pretty clean. The Beach isnt too crowded and the clothing optional portion is actually rather nice. The only downside is the price to rent loungers ($15), umbrellas ($20), or small cabana tents ($30). Otherwise its a nice beach. There is also a really nice skate park and marina.
The beach is very pretty. The part facing the intracoastal is a bit boring.Parking fee is good for all day. I went In January 2022. It was 7.50 for all day.
Every wedding anniversary my husband and I love to go to the ocean. I love the fact that is not crowded! The water is always great!HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BOO 13 YEARS AND COUNTING!!!
Great off leash dog beach! The water was clear and refreshing. There is a dog park in the area as well that has lots of land for dogs to run.Parking is pay by app/phone. Would suggest to have lots of water handy for the dog and bring a water bowls as the location doesn’t have water bowls around the dog beach area. There is also one dog shower area.
Very beautiful place, love the water the sand and the sun! Totally recommended getting here earlier in the day if om a weekend parking can get hectic.
So beautiful everywhere. Perfect dog friendly beach. Great architecture, this was the bathroom!
Look this beach had some of the clearest water Ive seen in South Florida. Really enjoyed this beach. Our spot was just south of the "clothing optional" section right by tower 10 and the water was absolutely beautiful. There was no seaweed in the water where we were. Will definitely be going back.
We absolutely love Haulover Park... the beach is wonderful and the area around the rocks is perfect for building sand castles! It is quiet and the parking is great. We go at least a few times a month. Highly recommended.
Ive been a local for decades. Still remember when the north side jetty had a deep drop-off at the bend. Dont remember dogs ever been allowed but today are. County keeps the beach clean as do dog owners that bring their dogs. Wish they would allow access around 7am so the sunrise could be experienced.
Haulover is a great beach, much less crowded than South Beach but the water and sand are still great. You park on the west side and there are paths that bring you under the road to the beach side. There is also a clothing optional section if thats your thing. I actually set up close to it as it was less busy for obvious reasons.
the nudist beach is one of my favorite places, I recommend arriving early to be able to park near the entrances, bring something to eat and drink.
Love this place. Everything all in one. Bike rental. Picnic area. Beach View fishing area. Kite for sale. It is Beautiful place. We went out n March. Water was so blue and green.
We went to Haulover Park for a family picnic, it was absolutely beautiful. They have picnic areas with Bbqs, picnic tables, trees for shade, many beautiful beaches with white sand on the ocean plus a split that connects the ocean to the calm intercoastal clear blue water with many boats passing by. It was magical. In addition, there is a marina, with boats and water-sport rentals as well as many pelicans waiting for the fishing boats to come in. Highly recommended, we loved it, we will be back.
Haulover Beach: NaturistThis is my second time at a naturist beach, the first being Black’s Beach in La Jolla section of San Diego CA.This beats them out by a long shot! It’s much more intimate and friendly while being sexy and offering amazing people watching moments.Parking is relatively easy, however I can see how it can be a nightmare during high peak times. But you can’t beat the price, $6! unheard of.Also of note, I rented a car for my entire stay and don’t mind driving or experiencing the flow & quirks of city driving. The highway to get anywhere in this portion of Miami can be difficult and challenging for those drivers who aren’t comfortable with close quarter speedsters. I can’t really speak to public transit but a little research shows it’s possible and may be a preferred alternative. The path leading to the beach goes directly underneath the streets for a safe and smooth walk. There are bathrooms just before you get to the gate and a sign warning you of seeing the human form in all it’s bare. For those who don’t wish to be harassed or approached you can set up camp near the lifeguard station, it’s big and pink. Otherwise, find your spot and take it all in.I was fortunate enough to meet a friendly gent near to me, who I casually went up to and asked if he could cover the hard time reach places, my back, he was more than happy to help out. He was initially fully clothed, it is optional after all, but once I bared all he followed soon after. He was a regular and said he takes his time in disrobing.Other than this fine friend I went unbothered and loved that I got to soak up the sun and splendor all to myself.Onto the bods, let me tell you they were of all shapes and sizes. Everyone living their best lives and just enjoying. Definitely some cruising happening and when turned down they honorably walked away and onto the next shiny specimens that caught their attention. It was a special environment that is primed for you to feel uninhibited and immersed as well as aware of yourself.
Great place to throw a BBQ, go to the beach, catch fish all in one spot. No glass bottles, and parking is cheap. No matter what time you go there is parking. Also rentals. Make sure you pay for the parking. The guy is out walking and checking. The picture is where I was fishing, the beach is right behind me. Picnic tables and shade also.
Beautiful dog-friendly beach. If you’re thinking of bringing your pooch, PLEASE keep them on a leash at all times. Doggies are animals and they act based on instinct. Your doggie may be well behaved inside and outside the home, but you never know how it will go when they’re interacting with other dogs. Just be safe, for you and for the rest, and keep them leashed!
Great place to bring your dog. Everyone is friendly. There is a dog shower upon exiting the beach which is extremely helpful to wash off your fluff after playday
You have to check out the world famous haulover park and sandbar while youre in Miami. We went on a Friday afternoon and it was pretty busy, I can only imagine how busy it would be on Saturdays and Sundays, especially around long weekends. Come up to the sand bar and to anchor your boat Just live your best life while you listen to the tunes being pumped from the floating food truck. While youre at the park, go check out the beach as its absolutely beautiful. We spent our time down near the Haulover inlet as I wanted to see some boats splash you the waves. Allegedly a little bit north of where we were is a nude beach. If you are going to go to the beach near the inlet just know that that part is the dog park. The dogs and owners are all well behaved and we were there. But if thats not your jam, you might want to go a bit more north to escape the animals.Even though the sandbar is really shallow. I still found the current quite strong so hang on to your kids in small animals or they might get sucked away.
Cycle up the Beach Path and you meet the wonderful Haulover Park above Bal Harbor. Some stunning views to enjoy before heading back down to South Beach.
Referring to the jetty- This is a really cool spot. Very interesting to watch all the boats/ yachts going out on the ocean from the Intercoastal Waterway. Lots of fishing and professor going on. A very clean and safe area, a shirt walk from the Ritz-Carlton. Highly Recommended.
Great place to visit . We went to the sand bar and it was absolutely beautiful. Glad we took advantage of the beautiful weather and we actually saw a shark. Im terrified of sharks, but this one never got too close to us. It seemed to be chilling for a while then it left.
Always abs forever I going to love this beach ! Has many things to do around , you can have fun with your family or alone !
The best dog park on the beach in Miami!Bring your furry friends, it’s really fun, and dogs 🐶 are very friendly!
A really nice public beach with plenty of affordable parking. The beach is really clean and there is plenty of room for everyone. Highly recommended.
We absolutely love this dog friendly beach! There’s lots of parking space which will cost you only $2 if you’re with a dog. There’s a doggie playground with poop bags and water fountains provided. The beach is amazing, I just love it! Wish we could come here more often.
My favorite beach thus far in Miami. I didnt know they had a nude part until recently which was interesting. It was clean and not overly crowded every time I have been there.
I loved it. I have been wanting to do this my whole.life and never have. Im so mad at myself for not doing it soon. I had the best time. I met someone there. We had way too much fun together. I was kinda hoping to see him later that night but he never did call me. I will be going back tomorrow and the next Im sure.
Great beach, soft sand and long walkable beach!Sometimes youll find soft waves and other days the get more strong than usual. Tha same happen with seaweeds. Sometimes there are a lot and other days just water. !!
Overall it’s a great beach. Could do with WATER BOWLS BY BEACH ENTRANCE and a hose to wash dogs.Very busy in Sunday’s (avoid sundays and Saturday’s and go in the week for a much nicer experience)
This beach is fantastic for dog lovers! My dogs love it here! They love being off leash to run around and swim in the water!! Also if you drive a semi truck there is parking. So you can enjoy the day with or without your dog.
Yes, the nude beach is on the North side, but you theres plenty of space on the South side to have a family friendly experience so do not let the nude beach deter you. What I like about going here is parking is of abundance! Water is always clean and its just a nice time.
This dog beach is fantastic! So many friendly people and happy dogs. Its very busy and seems like a small area on the weekends, but during the week there is plenty of room. Human bathrooms nearby and a dog wash area. Parking is very cheap for the area ($5/day weekdays, $7 weekends). If you are only going to the dog park (by the roadand not the dog beach, parking is $2. You do have to be on the lookout for jellyfish, manowar, sharks, stingrays, etc... depending on the day. Some days there isnt anything sketchy in the water, but if no one is in the water, its probably for a good reason!
