Amazing arboretum and botanical garden at a lakeside on lands of the former Hatanpää Manor. The highlight of place is the rose garden. The best time to visit is on July-August, but the roses still bloom even in September. In the area you can also find two cafés.

Forests and lakes typify Finland. This very pleasant lakeside setting with trees was delightful on a warm summers day.

Wonderful place for walks, picnics, visits to botanical garden, and there are two nice cafes on the location.

Extensive lakeside park with historic building.wide ramge of trees and plants beatifully laid out and labelled. Restaurant inside and tables outside too. Decent range of food hot and cold. Well worth a visit

Very nice place to enjoy nature and plants of different species.. There are also options of boating and some water sports.. Nice cafés and a church is alongside.. There is a garden for wedding and special ocassions photoshoot.. I recommend this place.

Absolute staple of Tampere outdoors locations of interest. Pretty during both winters and summers, but there are more activities to do there once the weather warms up and boutiques and other businesses open.

Absolutely calm relaxing place with awesome view. It has many sides where you can sit whole day long. Perfect place for family picnic or hangout. The flower garden in summer bring color to the place.

In new years eve people cracked fireworks in this place, scaring away all the animals that usually visit the area. It is so sad the Tampere doesnt take care properly of this place.

During summer times, this is the most beautiful place that you can find in Tampere. Taking a coffee or doing a pic nic in this park, makes you feel completely immerse into the nature even if you are just a couple of KM away from the centrum. A must see for visitors.

Beautiful place and really nice place to just sit down

My favorite place to go for walks. Always get to see ducks, swans, geese, hedgehogs, and squirrels. I love the nature and wildlife and get so happy spending time here. They have lots of paths to walk/run through with fantastic views of the lake. A small cafe is situated in the middle of the park, and during the spring time the flowers are in full bloom bringing so much beauty to the park with each one labeled to show visitors what type of flower it is. Very peaceful place.

My favorite park in finland! kind of dangerous and slippery in the winter. Filled with beautiful flowers and cute ducks in tje summer. Theres also a very lovely cafe.

Great and beautiful special tree and plant species. Ive also seen there many kind of birds and mammals species. At summertime there is two cafes, which I like both. Another one is at Rose Garden and another one at historical palace of Hatanpää. There are also music performances at summer.Nearby is Hatanpääs hospital.

Hatanpää Park is an amazing place to come all year around. Often a busy place in the summer and especially popular with the Pokemon community, where you can find beautiful walks and plenty of Pokemon and pokestops.Winter time there is limited wildlife but on them cold Sunny days the birds are out in full force talking in those sunray while it lasts.The ice is not rated safe to walk on and with the strong current in this river it is best to avoid such ventures. Most people who visit in the winter are those looking for a relaxing walk or a lovely jog.

Amazing place to take a serious walk. The building from The 1800s and the little cafeterias give a very wonderful mood to spend hours there. It is very close to downtown and there you can appreciate variety of plants and flowers. Also cute ducks and squirrels approach close enough to take beautiful pictures. In sunny days you can go and get some tan, just always be nice and keep the trash on the right place. I didnt see any bike parking near so I had to take it with me all along the walk. But it worth it.

Great park overall, and especially in autumn when all of those roses are blossoming. If you are playing Pokémon Go, this park is one of the most popular places to play it. Here you are able to get ex-raid pass, if you raid in Kivikkoryhmä. Also during all events this is good place to come and meet other players from all teams.

A great little park, beware lack of parking spaces! Should you want to go here you should walk the Pyhäjärvi coastline or take a bus to the Hatanpää hospital and walk from there.

A very nice park, easily accessible by bus too. The rose garden is quite pretty in the middle of summer. Theres a cafe here too.Lot of other flowering plants here as well.

Beautiful park that has walking & jogging paths, benches etc. for enjoying the nature. Especially the garden area is worth visiting although it can get a bit crowded during the peak hours.

I took an hour-long walk through the Arboteum in the final days of April. The walking/cycling path along the lake is quite delightful, reminding you of a Wordsworth poem, and if the weather was a wee bit warmer, Id have gladly sat on a bench and read a book for hours.

Best place to visit on a sunny day. If you are looking for a peaceful spot close to the city this is the place to be. The garden has a diverse collection of roses and the trees are just beautiful, not to mention the view of the lake. I didnt try the cafe so cant comment on that.
