National park with beaches, campgrounds, walking tracks & a lighthouse offering scenic views.
Lots of bush walking spots and safe trails for all experienced people. Can be hilly in some spots and may be hard shortly after rain but you can find awesome beaches and hidden spots if youβre keen to explore!
Beautiful scenery with lots of flora & fauna. Some hiking thats well worth completing
Excellent camp grounds great fishing well maintained toilets
Love, love, love this place! Please see the updated review written by me previously, for details.
Great spot bern here 4 times in 2 years very quiet area fishing is great and plenty of dolphins the water is so clean there is a look out in walking distance from the park walking over a small bridge we were here in May 2022 we took our binoculars and saw lots of whales and dolphins π¬ you can also drive to this place there are Kangaroos around the look out worth the stay
Beautiful place with crystal clear water the staff were great to deal with
Great place but U think the rules are a bit strict
What great spot, we swam at the beach in the morning and then in the afternoon we swam in the creek, did get a few midgie bites but didnt worry me too much, other guests happy to have a chat, cant wait for our next visit
Great place for a day out, a swim, or even if you want to stay in the Holiday Park in a tent or cabin.Great swimming.Great fishing.
Great walking tracks through diverse habitat. If you can brave the leeches the rock formations near the creeks are a great spot for ferns, fungi, orchids and other forbs!
Hat HeadIt looks like a statue, the head is clearly visablewith outline of hair, nose and mouth, eye is hard to see.Captain cook site as well, maybe they were really aliensand invaded Earth, took over and wiped peoples minds
What a beautiful place to visit. Going back again soon to enjoy the best of the beach and the crystal clear water and the bush with amazing wildlife. .
Really good caravan park, next to beach, river, bridge. Great walks next to river , and park has great vacilities. Love the river walk and swimming areas. Park next to bowling club, good for meals.very spacious grounds.great for kids too.
A quieter National Park to visit we visited Gap Beach and stayed at Hungry Gate Campground. Gap beach was brilliant and the walk there descends through a palm forest with views to the ocean. Hungry Gate has lots of wildlife and giant sand dunes right next door! We went for a nightwalk to the beach too and were told occasionally sea snakes wash up (do not touch them though!bring cash for the campground, well worth the spot!More photos at :Instagram: @wanderingandwilderness
Beautiful spot. Take a walk around the headland, float down the creek. Sensational!!
Really well maintained camping grounds and roads. We encountered a knowledgeable and helpful Ranger
This is one of the best places to see whales you will find, I counted 26 individual whales in 20minutes one day.
Stunning beach awesome tidal creek plenty of fishing its Paradise right there.
Very beautiful, untouched nature. The coastline is wild, treacherous and unforgiving but wildlife thrives here.
Amazing, floating in and out of the lagoon with the tide while snorkelling looking at the huge fish swimming underneath you is just out of this world great. Highly recommend you get down to this place. Come early though as its hard to get a park
Amazing place to swimming . Stay over night and spent time with
A nice stop over with beautiful inlet with very clear water shallows. At The Gap is a windswept rocky beach with some walks over the headlands in both directions.
Beautiful national parkπ great views and heaps of kangaroos on the korogoro track
Beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife from Kangaroos to whales breaching in the ocean
great place for a walk and see whales
Beautiful spot. The walk around Hat Head is lovely....but the track could do with some maintenance.Great for swimming in the creek that flows out to the beach. Top camping and caravanning spot too.
It had good.waves a cool creek and friendly people also.subscribe to Bannana cabana
Gap Beach is a beautiful spot. Wish toilets had a hand basin to wash hands tho.
One of the most beautiful places Ive even been!
Words cannot describe just how beautiful this place is. Highly recommend the hike out around hat head.
Stunning views and well worth the walk around the heads.. were lucky enough to have a pod of dolphins follow us around the heads on one visit. This is a place we go when we want a small escape from reality.
Awesome place we loved every minute
What a fantastic spot, swimming, snorkelling and a great walk! Well worth the visit
Beautiful place to go for a fish
I didnt know this place had so many lovely walks
A coastal park with beaches, lighthouse, sand dunes, and many more. At the lookout, it offers a panoramic view of the South Pacific Ocean. We proceeded to locate the sand dunes and we were delighted to find that the sand grains are so fine like those used in hour glasses! We spent more than an hour playing in the sand dunes; scrambling up, sliding down and leaving our footprints in the sand. It was so much fun.
A great park but it is a great pitty you are not able to have a dog on a lead in there.
Beautiful scenery and well worth the hike. Wear good shoes as it gets muddy in places. Also keep an eye out for snakes, we saw a baby black one exiting the park!
A m a z I n g views of beaches and mountains From the lighthouse
Amazing views and beach
This is a beautiful place there is a walk that goes around the head lands can be a little hard so take your time the view from the head is beautiful no toilets but can be found at caravan park on other side of river
Its not too bad for a day trip or short camping experience. Camp facilities are basic but clean although picnic areas are not good. There are generally a lot of oyster shells and broken glass scattered about, footwear must be worn at all times. Its a good spot to go for a swim in the creek or do some whale watching on the headland though.
Family home I have been going too since I was born. Just a beautiful part of Australia. Nice and small and quiet with one of the most beautiful beaches. Great place to swim in the ocean as the waves are shallow and no channels.
Slice of heaven, lovely inlet with gentle beach. View and walks from the gap are well worth the effort
Great views and things for kids to do
Great place for a visit. Beautiful spot on the mid north coast.
Great combination of ocean, dramatic headland, fore-dune bush. Good MTB track and beach riding.
B.E.A.U---Tiful!! This is a crackerjack little spot in the world. The whale watching at this time of year is something to behold. ππ
Nice walking track up to the lighthouse.
Spectacular views from many highpoints throughout the National Park, plenty native wildlife to encounter.
