Hat Creek Burger Company in Temple

1st time visit, a bit disappointed. My uncle, battling cancer return, wanted a double bacon chz burger, no veggies. Least to say, 2, 1 inch pieces of bacon were placed, but wasnt charged. Not sure I wanna give a 2nd chance if this is justified service.

Fried pickles extremely salty! Burgers are good , atmosphere is good, beer is cold!

I got the cobb salad and it was pretty good. It doesnt compare to a place that actually prepares the salad but for a premade salad it wasnt bad.

The veggie burger was so good! Messy and so good! Sweet potato fries, Yum!

Its hard finding a decent "burger" around here specially for my daughter who doesnt eat meat 🤷🏽‍♂️. But this place had a delicious vegan/veggie burger and she totally loved it, the portion and the fries. She also love the sauces, primarily the spicy ones. And of course I loved it too. Its my good to cheat meal place to enjoy a very filling burger 🤤. This is my spot and Im more than okay with that

Food was mediocre. Burgers were incredibly smashed and looked like they were just thrown together, fries were decent. And we were missing a few of other items. For the price, there are better burger options in the area for the same price.

They food was very good and the seasoning on the fries was very tasteful. The playground was a plus! Brought back memories of growing up with places with playgrounds.

The manager Brittany is very rude!! When she was bringing my food out I guess she got mad because my kids were in her way and started rolling her eyes as she toosed our tray of food on the table. I went up to the front counter to ask for corporates number and she wouldnt give it to me or even ask what the problem was. Im pretty sure because she knew she was wrong. Its sad because my kids use to love coming to this place but we wont be back after this

Placed a order through drive thru and was given what appeared to be someone else’s order,but didn’t realized until after I got home. I was charged for what I ordered. Called the store and left a message no call back received. Food was fresh ,but taste was very bland never again.

It was very delicious! Burger was hot, fresh and the sweet potato fries are worth the visit!

This Hat Creek location has taken ridiculous lengths of time to hand off incorrect orders every time Ive paid them a visit. I wish they would try to do better.... I like the food. I am however starting to lose hope!

Ordered online. Basic and pretty straight forward. Pick up was easy and pretty quick. Order was ready when I arrived, and my food was good. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I go to Hat Creek at least once a week and the staff is very friendly. They are so good they remember me by name and sight and know what I want by the time I get to the squawk box. They have me spoiled.

Just a burger place! Service was not very friendly as we had never eaten here before. Trying to figure out there stuff.

Has been a long time since eating at a Hat Creek but the gluten free bun is a whole lot better than it was. A few menu changes but otherwise still pretty good.

I initially liked eating here. Now service is very slow much of the time and whenever there is an issue, management does not seem to care. The current manager, Brittney, is rude beyond belief. I did express this in another review and the owner responded with an apology. I see other reviewers have recently complained about her as well. Unfortunately, she remains. I will never go back and choose to spend my money elsewhere.

Cleanliness is declining. No just this location but all the ones I have been to. The quality of food is the same.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst service EVER! Food was cold, nasty, way too salty, and our order was incorrect and we were charged for items we did not order or receive. No refund offered. Manager Brittney was very rude! We took family here who were visiting from out of town. They were sadly very disappointed. Their food was made incorrectly and was also cold. You would think as long as we waited (over 45 minutesthat the food would be fresh and hot. Not the case! Won’t be returning and will be contacting district offices as well.

The location in Temple is definitely lacking in management and overall operation. We have eaten at Georgetown location for many years and it’s always been well above par. The quality of service and food preparation is not at all what we are used when compared to Georgetown location. It is a shame that there is that big of a difference between the locations just 30 miles apart.

I will admit I ordered like 30 minutes before closing but the food I received was absolutely abysmal everything was burnt solid and what wasn’t was soggy and cold. If they didn’t want to serve me they could’ve just said that instead of charging me for rocks. It was honestly the most insulted I’ve ever been by a restaurant. McDonald’s has better service

I am out of town visiting family and my niece took us there. I like the atmosphere and I had the cheeseburger. It was great tasting beef charbroiled. Will go back when back in town.

Excellent burger with super friendly service, I loved all three of their fry sauces! No more ketchup for me, if I had to pick one I liked the pepper one or the spiciest one. Great job Hat Cteek!

Our first visit here. The food was great and the person who took our order was very friendly. My only negative would be, need more indoor seating.

Very nice facility, buger was fair, fries were cold and over cooked, ordered 2 burgers the same, single pattie, one was double. Will not go back, only reason give 2 stars is its a nice looking place.

Dr. Gudgel is an old school veterinarian who believes in great customer service and helping all animals. He always takes time to listen to us and to answer our questions. We tried several other veterinarians in the Temple and Belton, and we found Dr. Gudgel to be the most personal and caring of our dogs. Highly recommended.

Its our first time to try this place and I wasnt so impressed. The quality of our burgers were poor, fries were decent, seasoned, but I dont think it was worth 29 dollars and 77cents. My daughters both had "The Little Hat" burger meals and I had the", Grilled Chicken" meal. My youngest daughter and I had cheese on ours but it wasnt melted to our burgers it was unmelted, like placed on during the making, and my grilled chicken filet was dry tasting. We dined in and none of the inside tables were clean. I took it upon myself to wipe down our own table when it isnt my job to do so; I am very displeased overall.

Great burgers and fun outdoor seating. Would definitely recommend the sweet potato fries. However the prices leave something to be desired when compared to similar burger restaurants.

The best burger I have had in a very long time. Every restaurant we go to, we end up not finishing the food, bringing leftovers home and then usually throwing it away. Not so here. We enjoyed the food so much that it disappeared from the table. Thank you Hat Creek for a very nice experience!

The food was really good, but they were training a new employee on a Sunday, with a large after-church crowd. The line to order food was about a 15 minute wait, and once ordered it was a 30 minute wait.

Absolutely terrible service. We ordered 3 hamburgers and two chicken nugget meals. We waited 48 minutes for our food. We asked about the food twice, but were told they were working on it. We watched around 30 cars go through the drive through and get there food before we received ours, so maybe give that try? If you need a quick place to stop on your lunch hour, this is not it. We did appreciate the kids playground and gluten free options, but sadly, we wont be back.

Great service. Kid friendly with the playground and milkshakes. Always friendly staff and place is kept clean. Flys are annoying but so am I. Will be returning.

Overall the food was pretty great! This was our first time here. The burgers are made fresh and the fries are well seasoned! The staff was friendly and they brought our food to our table! The turkey burger tasted amazing and even better when topped with their fresh avocado! Overall, a very friendly, clean, and delicious place to eat! We will be back to try the fried pickles and loaded fries soon!

1st time here and i loved the burger. Fries were a bit to soft for me.. But next time i come ill try the tater tots. We will come back.. Thank you for a good experience.

Great lunch spot with outdoor seating. Burgers and fries were pretty good, wine/ beer available. They currently have heaters to make it comfortable out there while its cold.

The burger is very good. Reminds me more of a home made burger than anything. The flavor is awesome. The fries are very good also with that seasoning salt that is sprinkled on them. Over all the sizes of the portions are also a plus for me because its more appropriate. Even a standard burger at other food chains are massive and a person feels obligated to eat the entire thing and its a huge meal, tons of calories.The employees are always kind and upbeat.My only complaint is that they can be a tad pricey especially considering the size of the portions, but that isnt a deal breaker for me. I will be making more stops here in the future!

I ate here twice with no issues. This time food and service was horrible. The chicken bits and fried pickles were soggy. You can tell that they had been sitting up for a while. The fries were were way over cooked. I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!!! We were going to eat inside but there were flies everywhere. No one came out to clean tables. The floors and over by the drink machines were filthy. The window had dead flies all in them. Definitely not worth what we paid. Dont waste your money.

I always see that this place packed and thought I would give it a shot. I really wanted to like the place but Im completely UNDERWHELMED with the food and service. For starters let me say that I never got the fry sauce that I asked for. The fries were ok I guess, but the seasoning salt was increasingly unpleasant with every bite. The burger was a gooey mess and was rather plain. I will compare it to the In-n-out double-double for you to understand. It was like a double double but without ANY VEGGIES. Now when I think of a classic burger as they call it at hat creek, I Invision "All the way" as having the basics at least. My classic hat creek burger had no lettuce, tomato, or pickles. The grilled onions were there but didnt have enough of them to be able to taste. The cheese was a joke because it was just the glue holding the onion bits in the burger. I say onion bits because they were diced up so small I almost used a magnifying glass to find them. I did like the bacon on the burger and it was a much needed flavor to add to the nightmare. My bun was a bit over toasted but was still tasty. I did give them 2 stars because the friendly person in the drive thru was worth another star. This combined with the one star food gives my rating of 2 stars. I would say that if you have family in town from another state you should take them across the street to Freddys for a delicious steak burger. Your experience will be much more memorable. As for me I will tell you that I wont be back to hat creek....ever.

I usually really like Hat Creek, but today they were off. The drive though line took 25 minutes to get through, the person taking the order kept getting stuff wrong (glad they repeat it back to youand when we got our food the order was not quite right but we had already left and were not going back. My burger tasted good but I didn’t want onions on it but found onions on it. Fries were slightly less than half full and the same with my wife’s tater tots. Someone also needs to talk to the person taking orders how to greet snd talk to customers. I will wait a while before going back,

I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich combo. When I got it the chicken breast looked really small and it was stringy and dry which I didnt expect since it was so busy, I thought I would get something fresh. My bf ordered the classic burger combo and it was also dry. The fries were really good and fresh though. I did ask for a fried chicken instead since this one was dry and it was fresh when I got it

This place is amazeballs. Very clean. Food was exceptional. I got a veggie burger and it was an actual veggie burger! Not just "plant based". It was so yummy. My kids got hot dogs, burgers and nuggets and nobody left disappointed... which is rare for picky children. The sauces are yummy too. This place is def a new family favorite for us

The play area at this location has soft astroturf and a large outdoor patio. We love it more than any other place to play and eat. Sometimes we come for a late breakfast and stay for two meals! The staff is always great and the food is delicious. My kids love the dirt and worms milkshakes. They can serve their burgers without bread and sell beer and wine. Its a favorite place to go, we visit every week!

Back again to enjoy there burgers and fries. Very nice atmosphere to just sit back and enjoy. Staff always friendly and makes me feel welcome every time I patronize this business

Food was good. A little heavy on the sauces, so I’ll be sure to ask for light sauces next time. Beer was good and the playground outside was perfect to let the little ones burn some energy.

Always love coming here, the food is amazing, service is great, and my son loves the playground. The only thing I wish that could change would be the amount of flies outside, I totally understand that this is a situation out of their control but even some sort of pest control would help like fly traps. We had at least like 15 around our food at one time. Other than that it’s great!

My experience here was awesome. The design is unique and well arranged. The workers were hospitable and knowledgeable. Not a huge selection but what is provided is great. Cant wait for the Waco location to open.

Brand new burger place in Temple. We went the evening Hat Creek Burger Company opened. Service was fast and friendly. Food is delicious but a little pricey since everything is organic. They have many gluten free items including chicken nuggets and fried pickles. Pets on a leash are allowed in the outside dining area. Definitely will return.
