Great food, friendly staff. Enjoyed the bright new atmosphere.

Amazing food freaindly staff and food came in less then 20 minutes.

Our very first time at this restaurant and it was just ok. Living in milk river, we have the best Chinese food, but not here. Sorry, but we wont be back.

Disgusting! Over priced for what you get! Everything was Dry and Hard as rocks! Everything! except the spring roll, which was so Soggy because the buy the Cheap Frozen one from Superstore! Never again! Medicine Hat has very LOW Standards!

If it wasn’t bad enough that a severe food allergy was not taken serious that could have had a severe consequence; the quality of food has taken a nose dive too!! Taste of food was terrible and very cold. Def not worth the 100 dollars! Hard to support local…. will def be going elsewhere considering this is the 4 time we have had issues

Wish they had a bit more western cuisine for those of us that are accompanying a Chinese food lover. Cakes were very dry and old.

Great buffetUpdate: I originally gave them 5 stars but have to change it to a 2. When ordered today they said 30-40 minutes and it arrived over an hour and it was barely warm. The tin was full to the top with juice in both the vegtables and ginger beef. Everything Lacked flavour and was very salty.

We order a dinner for 3. The food was horrendous. The food was cold. The rice was hard. The dried ribs tasted like a tablespoon of flour.I recommend if you are ordering from this restaurant. Look for another restaurant. Be ashamed of your food

Im not sure this place is rated so highly rated, everything was so deep fried there was almost no meat in some of this dishes, everything was either excessively sweet and/or salty, some of the worst Chinese we have had in a while will not order again.

Gave them a second chance at delivery. It was New Years Eve. My Bday. We ordered early in the afternoon. Food arrived late again, and was nice and cold again. Order was wrong. How can you eff up 2 orders for one and 2 menu items? I dont know whats happened to this place? The best chinese food in town? Maybe once. But not any more.

This was sadly our last take out order from what was once our favourite Chinese Food restaurant in town.I understand, New Years Eve deliveries would be busy, however dont quote me 30 mins for delivery and then actually deliver my food an hour and a half later.Paid 12.95 for Wor Won Ton yet got a regular cheaper soup.The meals were sub-satisfactory. It actually gave me and my son extreme bowel discomfort all night long.This was the 2nd chance we were giving them.Looks like Sizzling House in Redcliff it is for us from now on.

Food is good used to be able to afford to take my family there to eat now though since they raised their prices won’t go for Buffett anymore $22 a plate is a bit excessive especially since their buffet does not have as many choices as buffet Medicine Hat

I always have 3 to 4 plates but here i only hed 1 1/2 plates 🍽

Service was good...buffet was so so...most dishes i had were sickeningly sweet...and then pay $25 per person

So had a over night stay in Medicine Hat to have truck maintenance done! Was told that Hat Chineese was the best place to get Chineese food from! So placed an order for pick up! We had request lots of soya sauce, plum sauce and forks , plates etc due to being in a hotel! When picking up I explained I wanted to make sure they gave the extras and plates cuz we were in a hotel and it was about a 20 minute drive! I never in a million years thought I should have opened every package to make sure our complete food order was there but I SHOULD HAVE! To our surprise when we returned to our hotel we found part of our order was not there!So we called and right off the hop the girl suggested we were lying cuz she was sure she saw them. Then we were told we could come back and pick them up, we said no deliver them bc it is your mistake! I was told they cannot deliver just that and we could pay $6.00 for a delivery!What the hell happened to customer service! They were sure to get their money and FYI over priced and over rated and now with the lack of customer service will be one that is never visited again! We will be sure to spread the word to all our transporter buddies that pass threw Medicine Hat daily!!!

Very disappointed with last nights takeout order. Most of the food was totally not edible! Over cooked and hard! Waste of money!

Food was good but definitely no protocol set up for people picking up their orders..too many people standing too close together inside the restaurant waiting for their order.

Someone recommended this place when I was visiting, and its probably the best chinese food Ive ever had. The staff were really nice too. If you like chinese food, this is the place you should go :)

We phoned our order in over an hour before we went to pick our food up. Showed up and they had me pay right away and said they were packing it up. People filed in and out while I waited with my wife and kids sitting in the vehicle. Twenty minutes later I inquired about the order to be told they were just finishing MAKING the dishes. 10 minutes later a friend happened to come in for her order and got it right away. I commented she did better than me but she said she phoned her order in a half hour before. Mine was called in an hour before. They obviously had forgotten to start our order at all until we arrived. Mistakes happen but an honest approach would go a long way. Let me know you forgot (don’t keep pretending it’s almost ready). Maybe offer a small discount for the inconvenience and all is well. Unfortunately though that wasn’t the case.

Great! The food is very flavorful. Very clean. Even the washrooms were clean and smelled so fresh. The staff are very friendly. Definitely recommend this place.

We were there for my husbands birthday last week. The selection was skimpy, and most of the food was definitely not fresh. We were there at about 6pm, prime supper hour, and the onion rings were old and chewy, the egg roll was cold, greasy (think dripping), and chewy. The breaded fish was cold, the dessert selection was pitiful and we had to ask for the bill even though they werent busy. We wont be back.

Always good food and great staff!!Just wish there was a way to keep kids from touching the food with their fingers and when you tell the parents who are right there and they just keep going. Fix this !!

We usually really like it, food is fresh and good. Unfortunately my takeout order was incorrect. When I called they stated that because the person taking the order wrote it down wrong, that I would have to order, go pick up and pay for the item I originally ordered. Does that make sense??

Been enjoying their food for years, its the best anywhere and Ive tried many. Since moving, We always order take out to bring home whenever we drive down!

Unfortunately not a great experience tonight. The buffet was all dried out, the server never came to ask how our food was, we had to go to the till to get our bill. It was our first and last time to Hats.

Best Chinese food in Medicine Hat. Delivery service is extremely quick, and efficient. This is also my favorite buffet restaurant. I am not usually a huge fan of buffet restaurants, that hat restaurant does it well.

Fantastic food, great service, and relaxing atmosphere. Great place to bring the family. Buffet table is constantly tended to.

Was good. Much better than some buffet I had and the waitress was very helpful with our 11 month old.

Everyone I asked that I came across in medicine hat all said, Hats Restaurant for Chinese buffet. Turned out the were right. The food was just excellent. Just the way I like my Chinese food. We got there late and it was almost over, but they were so happy to see that we had an enjoyable dinner and reassured me that if there was anything at all I wanted more of, to just ask and they would cook more up. Great people here. Cant wait to pass thru and stop again 😃

Yummy buffet, definitely a great way to fix a craving for Chinese food! The wonton soup was awesome, Shanghai noodles were delicious!

Hadnt eaten her in years (dont live in MH anymore). Food was quite good, had the buffet, would recommend it.

Used to be great but definitely not the night we were there this time. Nothing was fresh or even stirred in the pans. Everything was dried out and not too tasty.

By far, the best Chinese buffet in the Hat!! I dont understand how this entire city doesnt have more than one decent restaurant! Hats Restaurant beats every other eating establishment Ive tried, here in town. It was nice to find this little gem, after being disappointed so many times, over the last 2 years. Will definitely be back, again and again! Thanks for another GREAT meal!!

Good buffet. Lots of variety of Chinese and other. Always has turkey and mashed potatoes ect besides all the yummy Chinese food items.

Been a customer for the last 20 years and the food is still great. Recipes havent changed and thats a good thing. Would definitely recommend this place for the buffet.

Bad product, example: ginger beef should have a spicy sauce but yet I recieved a sweet n sour sauce bad service had to re-order. would not recommend to my ex-wife.

I picked up take-out from here based solely on the reviews here and it was an excellent choice. I needed enough to feed 6 guys and the final bill was less than $60. Food was very good ( big shrimps in the rice ), and lots too. I would definitely buy here again.
