Food is/was fantastic as usual but sadly today was their last day to operate,they have shut down permanently 😭truly an end of a era....

Too bad closing very soon...known this place since I was a young boy, when they started started the place beteenn Kirinyaga Road and River Road, area opposite to where another great restauarant known as Supreme...Over the past years have not frequented the place too often due to the fact moved a bit far away from Nairobi, and economic situation....there was a tinge of sadness when they had to leave Ukay Centre, and now even more so, but understandable due to the COVID29 effects.

Yummy tandoori. Sadly the restaurant is scheduled to close by sep 30th.

This is place has the best food Ive eaten in the entire Nairobi. I would go back any day since they are relocating soon. The service was amazing, food was prepared and served in the best way. If only I had several sets of stomach I would eat and keep eating. I just wish they wouldnt be moving out of the country. I really hurts but I will make sure I visit them maximum times before they close. It will always be a pleasure

Its been a while since I went to Hashmi so when I saw on Twitter that they were closing, I had to go back. The food was amazing as usual (a bit spicier than I remember), the service was impeccable and the ambience was divine.Im going to miss you Hashmi

This is a must to go place if you like Pakistani/Indian barbeque. Quick service. Spicy but delicious food with reasonable prices. It can be very crowded at the weekends. If you are looking for a quiet place to dine this may not be for you.

The food is always on point. Been enjoying the chicken kebabs and chooza chicken for almost 10 years, and its still the same delicious flavour. One of my favourite restaurants this side of the world!

The food and service was really good! We had the grilled chicken(mildand fries and spent a lot of time catching up. Their COVID preparations are very commendable!

Hashmi Barbeque is one of the best restaurants. It has been in operation for very many years and despite moving into a new establishment, their services and food have been consistent and amazing. So dont miss out on visiting them.

Excellent service and fair priced decent meals. If first time, try the mixed platter and lamb chops. The chicken kebab is not so spicy. You have choice of washed, mild or hot spices.

Good food. Takeaway service is efficient and quick without compromising the quality of the food. Ambience is great with adequate seating though it may get packed during peak hours. Friendly and helpful staff always make the experience one a pleasant one.

I had good experience here with the meal balanced with India spices and flavorful cuisines. I loved the settings of the restaurant - with hangout outlook, bright lights and colourful environment. The reception is excellent and the speed of service delivery is without delay.I think they have 2 closing period, you may want to visit before 3PM to enjoy some experience here, and I am not sure of what time they close for evening or later period 🙂

The food here is always amazing! Maintained standards from the first day I visited which is quite a while back...I recommend the mixed grill- to get a taste of everything... rather most of the meats.Great service, good food... clean restaurant. Awesome management

Without a doubt, Hashmi ranks as one of the top 5 must-visit restaurants in Nairobi. The chicken chooza is their flagship dish, one you cannot afford to miss. Other must-tries are the mutton kababs / mixed grill for an overall sampling.Prices are high, but worth it.Food is halal. Prayer facilities available.

As always what a meal. These guys simply know how to do good food. There is no fuss, no fanfare, you know what youre going to get. We had a few dishes but I still rate their chicken kebabs as the best in Kenya. The naan is soooo good as well. Over all if youre looking for a quick meal that delivers on flavour then you have to try Hashmis.The staff are also really good and the service is stop on.There is a reason why there is a queue before they open and why we keep going back.

got lost trying to find The restaurant inside diamond plaza.i enjoyed their Nice tender meat. The sauce that comes with the food had tamarind in it tastes unique and sweet. however packed during the weekend (Saturday). Limited choice in menu only fries or naan.theres an African themed market outside u can enjoy shopping.

Really good place for Indian bbq. They dont do traditional curries as far as I know. They are super popular on the weekends so you might have to wait in line at the entrance. The serving portions are kinda big because most of the food comes with fries and a simple salad. They also have a prayer room, and the service is fast when they arent too busy.

Delicious chicken! Great poussin fries! Service was a challenge and our chicken was considerably smaller than what we saw on other tables but really really tasty! I would recommend this spot for a takeaway order for sure!

Expect to wait to get a table after 7pm, food is excellent and a good quantity but if youre not used to spicy food you may have a runny stomach later. Not ideal for vegetarians although they have a couple of meals, dessert and drink selection is minimal. Popular restaurant, service is great usually.

This is the best barbecue restaurant in Nairobi. The place is conveniently located the ambience is good and the service is nice. The prices are moderate but there is value for money. They have a nice variety of chicken mutton and beef on the menu. Definitely a must visit

Reputable place for grilled chicken and bbq meats. Personally i found the mild version spicy. Something which they could look into.

Amazing food, amazing service and the new restaurant is stunning.

Major service improvement required.Chicken leg served was raw. When I complained, instead of make a new perfectly done, they grilled it again. Result you can see in the pic, full of black charcoal.

Great food as always. New location is brilliant with plenty of parking. Seating arrangements are good with plenty of fresh air ventilation. Highly recommend the Chooza chicken.

I wish I could give this place 6 stars because its thats good.Its always been a favourite of mine for as long as I can remember. Homely restaurant run by a very nice family .All their dishes are incredible. Dont miss the puisine and chooza flavoured chicken and chips enjoyed with the passion fruit juice.You might have to wait on weekends considering the place is packed.I think theyre moving to a new place considering the current building is being demolished.

Outstanding Grilled Food. Probably the Best Tasting Marinated Barbecued Meats in Nairobi. While theres Great places lyk FOGO GAUCHO & CARNIVORE for real MEAT eaters... No One Can Grill out a Perfectly Delicious Marination MASALA like HASHMI. My Pictures below will do Justice to my Review more than my words. Served on a platter of chips n salads of your choice. Go for optional variations of the chips (Poussin /Garlic /Spicyinstead of regular chips. The Meats are all charcoal Grilled to Perfection & Served Tender /Juicy. Would definitely recommend the MIXED GRILL highly to anyone who loves their meats without Inhibitions/restrictions. Served as a Massive Portion of LAMB + MUTTON + CHICKEN + Beef + SALAD & CHIPS. Delicious & leaves an after taste for Hours.

Hashmis never disappoints, the food is great and the portions are good even to share. Prices are incredible for such great food and the location is superb. This is a strict halal venture so there is no sale of alcohol, although their fresh juices are great so there is really no need for it. The downside however is that there is no bathroom within the restaurant, but outside to the right hand side of it, still within the Ukay complex. There are however sinks within the restaurant to rinse your hands since this kind of cuisine is eaten better without cutlery, although they are available for those who cant or dont want to eat with their hands...

If youre a lover of Indian cuisine, such as myself, and havent yet had food from Hashmis...have you even lived?! Originally situated in Mombasa, I feel like they not only bring home to me but also make me appreciate the Indian culture 😊

Beautiful place. Great ambianceThe food is great and the portions are decent.However the service is pretty bad and the prices are relatively high.

One needs to keep in mind what this restaurant offers, it’s not a fine dinning establishment. I give it 3 stars for what it is, but it has great food, a little on the expensive side for what you get with very average decor. For their prices one can get better quality at other fine dinning restaurants.

I would have given them 10 stars if possible. Awesomely delicious BBQ meals. The chicken Poussin, Chooza or Mixed Grill dishes are my favorites.Excellent service and food doesnt take long to make. Its a good place for family and friends to visit for a hearty meaty meal.
