This place has been around for quite some time now and if you are someone who has been around the Chaska/Chan/whole Carver County area long enough to remember when it was still just a small little farm like town and how drastically different this place was back BEFORE it was hit with all the sudden development transforming it into the large suburban area it is nowadays well Harveys Bar is one of those places that provides that certain sense of Pleasant nostalgia coming from the roots of what this town came from and its a nice place is a nice environment that type of place where you have the regulars and a very friendly and interactive staff definitely not a large bar its a small town local bar thats been around for quite a while and it really is connected to the roots from where this town started I recommend going to check it out

UPDATE: Still great food, prices and service. It does seem a LOT louder than it used to be ... even on Sunday morning. Server (one in particularwho is very chatty with customers (not necessarily a bad thing, but ...has an extremely loud laugh and voice, making it difficult for older customers with hearing aids to turn them down low enough to still have an enjoyable experience. (No music or TV volume involved.)Best local hangout place ... friendly service, great food selections (best burgers in the SW Metroand good prices. We eat here a lot. Tonight was a fabulous all-you-can-eat fish fry.

We live 15 minutes away and this is our first time to Historic Carver and to Harvey’s Bar. The service is excellent, with smiles and humor. Wonderful vibe in an historic building. Food is superb. Burgers tonight. We will be back for sure.

One of Carvers gems. Food is great, drinks are great, and the staff are the best. This restaurant quickly fell into our favorites list and we eat there all the time.

Chicken Cordon Bleu, chicken bruschetta, Buffalo Hen & taco tuesdays are all family favorites. Still a favorite place to go & to get carry-out.

Great beer and food!! Our first visit at Harvey’s was a good experience.

The food is pretty darn good, our ticket time was on point, but I saw a young lady come in for a to go order& wait very long & patiently, until about 35 minutes later, she finally got upset & had seen several orders go to tables& out the door. The bartender/server was pretty confrontational & didnt really make the situation better. Kinda off putting. The girls I believe did their best, but definitely could have used another hand. I will go back, just hope for a great experience, and not leave feeling weird 😕

Super fun place to grab a burger and a beer in a throw back environment. Fun to drop in a quick lunch or a fun after work pit-stop. Reminds me of Central WI bars I grew up in ( more than I should admitNice people work there and the crowd is pretty friendly also.

I stopped in for the Saturday prime rib special. It was my first time here, the food was good and the service was friendly.

Excellent, beautiful, high quality food, service, and atmosphere! The staff are very professional, attentive, and make sure youre having an excellent experience.

We had a terrible experience. We waited for an hour and 5 minutes for our food. I had asked our waitress twice to check on it because people all around us had already been served who had just got there. We finally left without eating but it would have been expected they would have comped the drinks because she clearly dropped the ball.Really disappointing.

Cute place in a cute little town. Unbeatable price ($1.50for a 1/3 lb. burger (a bit too greasy for my taste). Fries were only so-so. Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly staff, good beer, close parking.

Harveys is an excellent local burger place. Every Wednesday is $1.50 1/4 burgers. Add-on are.20 cents. Place is always clean and friendly. Good bar atmosphere and respectable forkuds to enjoy a night out with parents.

Its a fun local bar. They have cheap beer and good food. Ive had their veggie burger several times. Honestly, its one of the better veggie burgers Ive ever had.

The food here is pretty good. Way better than I would expect from a bar in a small town. The staff is always friendly, service is quick, and they are family friendly during daytime hours.

Good experience in old town Carver. It was cheap margaritas and tacos. Friendly server girl seemed to float at high speed keeping all the guests happy.

Absolutely delicious food. Harveys has continued to please my entire family. We have come here to eat on the separate occasions now and have been pleased everytime. The variety of burgers is great for a small bar and they are each delicious. For an appetizer you cant go wrong with the spinach artichoke dip. Beware though, it is very hot. The service is great and the beer selection is good. Enjoy!

I like this place. Small town burger bar. Strong drinks, good wait staff, always fun. I would recommend the bourbon burger. Last time, I got lucky!

The bar can be packed on busy days but the burgers a good and so are the fries they even have special of the day employees are friendly too

Stopped in for lunch and this little place is great! Great service, great food, and fun to experience lunch in a local small town hangout. Highly recommended.
