Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™ in Orlando

If you are HArry Potter fan you will really enjoy this attraction. This one is not motion sickness friendly I can tell you. Very immersive into the Harry Potter world.

I have never watched a Harry Potter movie, but this is hands down the best ride at the park. I have no idea who the characters were, or what they were doing.... but it was AMAZING!

Not a bad ride, however got motion sick despite never getting motion sick before and having been on other similar motion rides before. Ride broke down twice as we were on it and nobody said anything..

Amazing ride! Will give you a bit of motion sickness. Be prepared! Well worth the ride. Wait was about 15 min at 10am.

Its a fun ride, however at the end of it I felt extremely nauseous despite taking motion sickness relief pills before going on it.Havent had that problem with other similar rides.

Better than expected, 👏👏👏💥 Awesome ride! We came mid week in early October and park was not too busy. Wait times were 20 min at most rides.

Cant deny its beautifully made.However it is the most sickening ride I have been on, the digital screens caused severe motion sickness to all 4 of us. Luckily we figured out to close our eyes at that part in order to avoid throwing up.Wish the whole attraction was real physical props, because that was the best part about it.

Waited almost an hour because ride got delayed. Then we went in and got stopped mid-ride, faces-up, 3 times. Employees gaslighted us like nothing happened. No compensation for wasting our day.

Went on this ride years back when it first opened and it was brilliant. Going on it today it really felt its age, theres no getting around the fact the technology is old compared to newer rides in the park and Disney, a good nostalgia hit but definitely past its prime, think the low wait times say it all. However the queue lines are excellently designed and the decor is amazing

This is a great and unique ride. It’s Amazing how it works. Even if you don’t do the ride you need to experience the queue it’s fantastic!

Loved my day at Universal Orlando and this suddenly & unexpectedly became my last ride of the day/evening(8pm instead of 9pm). Both my friend and I had to close our eyes throughout or barf 🤮 city for us (the crazy rocking all over the place and the motion of the car to the video uggh).

The rollercoaster was delayed most of the day due to technical difficulties however as soon as the delay was gone off the universal app my group and I ran over to get in line. The wait time was about 75 minutes but it was worth the the entertainment in the line was great it helped the time pass much faster; perfect if you’re a potter head like I am. The ride is mostly a video as travel though room to room you’re moved as if you are with Ron and Harry. If you get motion sickness easily this ride is not for you. However I will be going back to Islands of Adventure just to experience this ride again.

I really enjoyed all the Harry Potter rides as I rode this one right after Hagrid’s! Would definitely ride it again but definitely look at all the details while waiting in line as there’s lots of things to see while walking into the ride!

A very impressive roller coaster. The ride system is very complex and fun. Its thrilling without being just a bunch of painful jerks and turns. The ride was buttery smooth. Its a good enough coaster that a 45-60 minute wait would still be worth it.

This was my favorite ride in island of adventure. I cant explain the amazingness of the castle. The details, the pure enjoyment for fan lovers. Then you ad the ride. Omg pure love and joy

Wow, this ride blew me away! I had recently gone for my sons birthday. We went to islands and when we got to Harry Potter land we wanted to ride Forbidden Journey. They’re are a bunch of drops, it’s sort of like a motion and real life ride similar to Spider-Man. But beware if you’re afraid of heights and spiders. Also you kind of go upside down on forbidden journey. It’s only 2 times! The whole Harry Potter land blew me away! The que even reminds me of Hogwarts. Recommend for 9 and up

Once you’re inside the castle the wait in line is not too bad. My daughter loved it but my gut was a little too big for me to ride it.

Awesome Ride at Universal Studios! We love it. If you are going to Universal you have to go on this Harry Potter Ride, and I recommend getting the Fast Passes.. this Ride is definitely worth it. Also the whole Harry Potter area of Universal Studios is really Amazing! You can actually spend hours there sightseeing and Shopping. Great Job Universal!! Always have a good time there!! Can’t wait for Halloween!!! We are Major Halloween fans! Get your tickets in advance so you don’t have to wait in line for a hour to buy tickets, also The Fast Passes Always makes everything more convenient well worth the extra money! See you again soon!

As a Harry Potter lover Every detail was perfect . I’m the most nervous person and don’t ride any attraction but I enjoy this experience so much. The wait is so worthy.Great staff at all the attractions.

Super fun experience! Usually short wait times. The people working the ride were nice! One time, minutes before the park was closing, we were about to leave, when one worker let us go again, which was super nice! We went on it, and when we were done, he let us go again! Then again! AND AGAIN! Eventually we were getting a bit motion sick, and we had to leave home, but he still let us go on it for the 5th time. Super nice! Definitely recommend!

This is my favorite ride at the parks. It has everything: cool HP line through the school, fast moving lines, AC, delightful Team Members, excellent gift shop, and the ride is thrilling. I love this ride and always go on it. I recommend the traditional line at least once to get the whole story and see all of the cool Hogwarts stuff. Then single rider it, youll get on in a few minutes.

Hands down, the BEST RIDE IN ALL OF UNIVERSAL STUDIOS!!! Maybe just because I am a crazy Potterhead I found this attraction better than others. The wait time is okay if you have express passes. Though my phone slipped from my leggings side pocket during the ride 😬 even though I thought it was secure obviously it wasnt- so be aware and tuck your phone somewhere secure 😄

I rode this ride for the first time a few months back. It was one of the last rides we did in the afternoon after riding rides all day and park hopping. My significant other and myself ride everything and intense coasters with no issues. For some reason my mind and body didnt take this ride well at all. I literally closed my eyes the whole time trying not to vomit. After getting off my girlfriend said the same thing. It made us both feel sick. Maybe it was because we had been riding rides all day long. Just the motion of being rocked back and forth while being slightly leaned back did not do well with us. Im going to the park again with my son tomorrow and Im going to try it again but maybe earlier in the day. Maybe that will help. Its definitely worth trying once no matter what.

But dont eat to match before this ride, otherwise you have to close your eyes.

Totally 🔝🔝🔝 atraction! We loved it! I recommended a “single ride” - its going very quick! Staff is sooo good there and organized 🙏👍! There was a 95min long waiting line and thru single line we have been out from Hogwarts in a 10 minutes 🤣! Totally worth it!

I recommend this ride for everyone potter fan or not the ride and graphics are absolutely incredible has to be one of the most amazing rides I have ever been on I cannot wait to come back to islands of adventure that will be my first ride I’m going on!!!! Also recommended a express pass makes the day so much more enjoyable and gives you the ability to have a lot more fun!

4D video + real automation + animation in A very awesome ride. The journey to go / wait there is worth 60% Allready. Each room has a side show and fantastic decoration. The impressive details are making it hard to believe that you are not there for real. So if it says 60min waiting = DO It.5x 👍 Congratulations Universal Studios, worth every dollar.

The ride is fantastic. Very fun. Can make you a little sick, though. The scenery in the line is awesome. Only one little (hugething. We got stuck! The rides tilt you back far enough for blood to rush to your head, and, well, that’s the park we got stuck in.After my horizontal and close up encounter with the womping willow, they kept going. When we got off they let us ride again and skip the line. Overall, the ride is great, just brace yourself to get stuck upside down.

If this is your first visit and you want to take in all the Harry Potter locations in the park, I recommend you actually wait in that long line. The queue is immersive and takes you all through the castle grounds and inside and is wonderful to see.However, if thats not as important or youre down for time, I HIGHLY recommended using the single rider queue (this stands for any ride here). Yes you will have to sit with a stranger but its only for a few minutes and you are near your group (we actually got lucky and they sat me and my husband next to each other). We cut down a 140 min wait to 60 min! Some other rides were even better waits on single rider.As for the ride itself, if you are prone to motion sickness on some rides, especially those where youre in front a screen and it moves you around, take caution. I dont tend to get affected but this ride does have some movements that are a little excessive where you start to get a little sick. My husband who does sometimes get motion sickness was annoyed by this part of the ride. Unnecessary swerving aside, this ride is very fun.

Decent ride but you will get motion sickness. Not my favorite ride but worth trying once.

This was probably my favorite motion simulation ride in the whole park (and out of Universal Studios too). Moving through the castle was so fun and the rides mechanics were fabulous. I loved the combination of virtual and real scenes. It did make me nauseous after two rides (couldnt do it again), but I still loved it.

5 stars for the theming, but I didnt actually ride the ride as I heard bad things for those prone to motion sickness. The good news is, you can walk through the queue and take as many pictures as you want, and then ask the attendants near the boarding area to leave and they can let you transfer right to the exit line. Best viewed when the queue time is short!

The best themed ride at Universal. The queues can get long at times but the walk through the castle during this time is an experience in itself. I love the ride & now theyve added express pass to it its even better. Its definitely one of those rides you can go on again and again without getting bored of it.

This ride was spectacular when it opened and I enjoyed it a lot. Now, I do enjoy it too, but every single ride something doesn’t work. There is either no steam coming out of dragon or there is some spots on one of the screens. However, it is definitely a must-visit because of the castle. The Hogwats Castle is beautifully made and there is a lot to see on the inside.

This ride is the essence of Harry Potter world: it’s the CASTLE ride, like come on! They really went all out for people even when waiting in line- each room brings new nostalgia and nods to the HP series and it’s the best.You can walk through the courtyard/ greenhouse and see Professor Sprouts latest garden gurus. As you walk inside you’ll see the House point competition, and the entrance to Dumbledores study. There are some green screen parts where you see the Golden Trio in action, and you can even listen to the speaking picture frames of the house founders and more.The ride itself is a 3D ride- you’re sitting in kind of a weird chair and follow Harry and friends through an amazing tour of the castle and all things HP. It gets pretty twirly, whirly and jerky, so know that. My dad and a good friend of mine don’t go on this ride anymore (even though they’d like tobecause they just get too motion sick for it to be worth it. This is just a fantastic ride though, and it never gets old as you wait or ride!

I loved the queue lines. Great decor. I felt like I was in Hogwarts. I would not recommend this ride to anyone like me, that hates spiders. Very large, very realistic spiders. But the ride was well done and they didnt skip small details

This is truly an outstanding ride. They do a fantastic job with the theme all the way through the line which is actually worth waiting in to see the various items throughout.The ride itself is a great deal of fun. It was a ton of people and moves almost continuously. That is a great feature to have.Spoiler alert. One thing to be on the lookout for is the spider. When you see it, it squirts water at you. Once you’ve experienced it, you know what to expect. The first time through, however, it can be a surprise.

Im not a big fan of 3D rides, BUT this one was done really well, felt good, and well timed to the screen. Half way through you can look at one of the carts in front of you and see the type of machine you are on and its impressive.I thought the story was great, and it was fun, I would definitely ride this one again and again.Ill say it again, this was the best 3D ride Ive been on.

This ride is all around amazing. The queue is so detailed and true to the films that it makes you feel like you really are a student at Hogwarts. And the ride itself is probably the most fun out of any ride in Orlando in my opinion. Just be aware if you have a problem with dizziness or Vertigo you may have a hard time on this ride.

Amazing ride! The entire experience with the storyline, walk through castle and immersive ride makes you believe you are transported to magical world. Especially Dumbledore’s office with his 3D appearance!! Non muggle photographs are very cool and so are all the architecture. Line, however can get fairly long on busy days and be prepared to stand for a LONG time, but the struggle is worth it.

Fantastic Harry Potter themed ride. A mix of CGI and real ride movement. Simulated broomstick riding all around the Hogwarts campus, including the the quidditch pitch. Soar with Harry around the pitch and even grab a glance of the snitch.This ride is a real winner. Even the entertainment waiting in the ride’s line is fun and whimsical. Check this ride out. Worth a little wait.

The wait wasn’t too bad, and they added neat effects that added to the atmosphere that we were actually in Hogwarts. Me and my friends loved this ride. I hope to come back to go on it again soon. This was one of my favorite rides in Universal Studios Orlando.

The ride which you ll never forget... HP lovers gonna love this...Fantastic ride. Lots of twists and turns. Universal kicked it up with this one. This ride mandates that things must be stowed away in the lockers provided at the entrance. Locker is free and it is in sync with your waiting time till you come back so dont worry ;). we have visited this in off season so it was only 10 minutes wait for us and as we read the reviews before going ( like as soon you enter the park, go back to the end of the park which is Hogsmeade villageso we did not face much crowd and enjoyed this ride twice within 30 minutesOn your way to the ride inside the castle, you get to see the talking and moving portraits, go by dumbledores office to the defense against dark arts classroom. Dumbledores office is marvelous with each and every detail in place. The film is breathtaking and the mixture of animatronics and film make the ride even more unique. This is the game changer for Universal Studios! The ride is simulated one, surrounded by screens that simulate flying alongside Harry around Hogwarts until you encounter a dragon.You are then swung through another series of set pieces that include a fire (smokebreathing dragon. You also encounter the spiders from the forbidden forest (one spits water at youand the Whomping Willow. The next simulation footage is of the Quidditch pitch that eventually swarms with dementors. The next series of set pieces is of dementors. You then end by flying back to Hogwarts, where you are greeted by the Harry Potter cast and Hogwarts students congratulating you. You then use floo powder to travel back to where you began. Be sure to practice your Patrons Charms before you get here...youll need it! The magic world is in your hands!Rating - 9/10

The ride is amazing! Its a 3D motion ride thats a bit more mobile than most other motion simulators. Its very very fun, but not for anyone who gets motion sickness easily.

I am a huge huge fan of harry potter it felt like i was at home. They had outdone their 3D ride, i went on it like 5 times. I went at night like around 9-10pm and there was barely anyone there so the staff was rlly nice and let us go on 2 more times. At noon its rlly crowded and u have to wait a long time but its entertaining while in line because they have got all sorts of hp stuff. There hippogriff ride was rlly fun too. They rlly made this place unique and very real.i had an amazing vacation.

This was my favourite ride in all of the parks in florida, so much so that I went back specifically to ride it again. The themeing in the queue was incredible as you walk through Hogwarts and the effects of the talking pictures and characters were mind blowing. The ride was something I had never experienced before and felt like a real step into the future for theme parks and rollercoasters. A MUST do when visiting universals islands of adventure

The whole Harry Potter adventure was very cool. I especially liked riding the virtual reality ride in the castle. We rode that one at least 5 times. The train ride is way way over hyped and a total disappointment in my opinion.

One of my favorite rides. However you could get the motion sickness. So be very careful with your judgement to ride. If you get easily sick with a car ride, this might not be the attraction for you.At night, they do excellent show every 15 mins. It’s fantastic show. You cannot miss it.

The way the parks and the train are done are top notch. But.... It is too much packed into to small a space. To many people in to little space. Not safe!The stores need to be bigger and the food is not very good.
