Harris Teeter in Summerville

A lot better place than it was a year ago. I love shopping at this place. Good place to shop

Disappointed that many of rheir organic products have not returned that went away during covid.

So I found a place that has my hometown style pizza. Inside this store is a spot that makes it. I have had a couple different combos and its spot on! If you like regular pizza with regular toppings, check it out! Youll be glad you did! The Dr approves of the review!

Great store! Always super clean! They have so much more of a variety than any other super market. Employees are always very pleasant.

Keep up the great work HT Staff!Huge deli and hot food selection. This location is pretty larger and seems to be consistently well stocked and staffed. Overall I prefer this location to most of the other Harris Teeter locations. Especially if you want hot food, to include a variety of Asian food, traditional deli food (fried chicken, rotisserie chicken, etc), made to order sub sandwiches, pizza, etc.

Cost was excessive compared to other places. Cost 20-30 dollars more than same items elsewhere. Some produce was rotting. Parking lot is rough, so carts rattle violently. Anything on the bottom of the cart will fall out. Half the bags were ripped when I got home.

I usually love the produce and meats at this location, however you do have to check dates on salads and meats. On sundays the logistics runs low. Also there is a older female manager that belittles her staff in front of customers. That’s a big no no in any business.

Great store. Clean, friendly and good store brands. All hot foods are excellent.

I only stop here if I really need something since its the closest grocery store to my house. It seems to be clean and well stocked whenever I go and the employees seem nice.

I really liked it, I wish they had one over here on the Berkeley County side. Because the Food Lion over here is not very good at all. I like the store because theres a lot of stuff to choose from inside the store I love the cheese part I love the meat market. Like I said please bring one over to the Berkeley County side

I always good shop here for my groceries. All the workers know me and my family in there and theyre very kind and helpful. They will even walk out to the car and help me with the bags. Prices are great compared to other stores this is definitely my favorite.

This store is always clean and stocked with everything. The employees are very polite and helpful. Great meats from the butcher and the seafood is always fresh and high quality.

Sales are great! Meat is too choice and their Kona coffee beans have replaced our old standby at Wegman’s in Fayetteville !

Clean friendly environment with excellent selection of fresh produce and the salad bar is spot on. You pay for it, but its Summerville, everything cost more here.

Very clean, well stock store. The associates are friendly and helpful. They have a wide selection of different products. I love their produce section.The self checkout was irritating today. It would not scan, and everything had Tobe added manually. An associate came over and added it for us.

Love shopping here. Employees are all helpful and cheerful. Sure hope they are getting paid what their worth.

I went during a very busy Saturday morning, I like to , and look forward to getting a salad from their salad bar. Todays selection was spectacular especially the mixed berries and kale salad. Summerville does not have any vegan places to eat and this is my go to when visiting Summerville.

The variety of foods, helpful staff, and good prices makes this store one of my favorite places to shop.

Recommended. Harris Teeter has proven to be a reliable source for over the counter cold medications. Weekly sales, and they also offer Senior discounts on Thursdays.

Absolutely love this grocery store! Wish we had one just like it closer to Hanahan. Worth the drive though.

I truly enjoy shopping at Harris teeter. Its so clean, customer service is totally friendly and helpful. They have tons of choices to pick from. Its always fresh and delicious!

Product quality is great, however customer service leaves much to be desired. Experienced alot of "unessacary" discriminate behavior. Ive work in customer service so i go out of my way to be reasonable but I definitely wont return. I dont spend my hard earned money where Im not treated well. Never again.

Harris Teeter, Everything was great, employees,great,jovial,friendly, but the (just describing the guy,not picking fun at or about himbig heavy over weight caucasian Mgr kinda looked at me as if I might be a thief, drunkerd kind of person you might not want in a store, However as a true believer and brother in Jesus Christ kind of living Nan,,, I dont swear,drink,do drugs,smoke cigarettes, pick on people,make fun of others,put people down and do not mind giving a person of lesser some if what God has bestowed on me for my obedience to his word,wisdom,knowledge and his Son,the Lord and only begotten of God the Father ,and the Holy Spirit. I do not like their Point of Sale they use at self serve checkout counters. The decrepit, old looking system does not display the sale prices for your items as you scan your items. If it did and there is a discrepancy then you could just cancel the purchase of that item. Only after paying, are you able to see the actual price you bought at. If there is any problem or misunderstanding well, I guess it is off the the customer service counter. Ugg! You can also eat the loss and post a review and chalk it up to experience.

The staff at this store are great. Ive had nothing but good experiences here. The reason I docked a star is because the prices are usually higher than at other stores. Thats not the fault of the employees, of course. They have a massive alcohol section, probably the largest of any HT in the area, with a great variety of options. The only thing I disliked was that they once carried quest low carb pizza but switched out for other brands like caulipower at some point. I wish they had Quest pizza, though I know shipping and supply shortages are also affecting what is available right now. Overall would recommend shopping here, just be aware of the prices.

This store is creating the narrative that you must remain professional 24/7, outside of the workplace. A young lady having a fun and completely appropriate voicemail says nothing about her competence on the job. I feel terrible for your staff if they feel like they can’t even have fun on their off hours. I hope higher ups get involved and make an apology to this young lady. It’s managers like these that make it hard to hire and retain happy staff. And then they wonder why their jobs have a high turnover rate. Treat people better.

A business is only as good as it treats people when others aren’t looking. That includes potential candidates. The fact that you denied someone a job simply over their voicemail message is discriminatory and shows your true colours. Your management team clearly needs some tidying up.

To deny someone an opportunity of an interview because of a PERSONAL voicemail greeting is more inappropriate than that greeting itself. The voicemail gave a glimpse into the personality of the potential candidate and you most likely just lost out on someone who wouldve brought great joy, cheer, and great character to your company and possibly uplifted the moral of your store which most certainly needs it if youre the manager. You owe this young lady an apology.I hope corporate looks into this matter and provide you (the managerwith training on how to appropriately conduct yourself and your manners when searching for someone to fill a position. Clearly your store has a need and now we know why.

I hope this message reaches corporate. To deny a young woman a job based on her voicemail is very petty and unnerving. For the employee that serves as the hiring manager, I feel his actions were not proportional to the situation and makes me question his ability to do his job. This may want warrant a revaluation on how employees are treated here.

The young lady in bakery went out of her way to help us find lady finger cookies and even went to get an extra pack for us! Super cheerful and helpful! The lady in the cheese department was very helpful as well. We apologize we didnt catch their names, but it was a pleasant experience at HT today!

I’m so happy not to work here!!! You obviously aren’t allowed to have a personality outside of work and must be a corporate robot at all times!!! Remember to not make your voicemails light hearted and fun if your wanting to get a call back for a job for this company. Dodged a bullet if u ask me.

Great experience! Lots of products to choose from, produce, meats, seafood, make your own 6 pack, 10% off on wine when you buy 4 or more (I believe thats right). A great CHEESE selection, order pizza while shopping, get a Starbucks coffee too, desserts, breads, deli counter and more....clean, great staff all very helpful, clean bathrooms. All employees are wearing masks and a lot of customers as well. Its nice to see that some people are still wearing masks, it makes you feel better and safer while out and about, thank you everyone.

First time in the store and thought it was great. Pleasantly surprised at the competitive pricing and the quality of the products. Its a long way from home but we will be loyal Harris Teeter shoppers.

I frequent this Harris Teeter and every time I get great service. On one occasion I needed flowers for my elderly neighbor and I didn’t see what I was looking for. The florist was so helpful by creating something special for me! She’s always smiling when I see her! Most recently I went through self checkout and got home only to realize I forgot my ground beef. They replaced it with no problem! Great customer service!

I went to Harris teeter today to buy pumpkins. I loved the way they had them displayed out front of the store and not just packed into boxes. They had lots of pumpkins in addition to the ones that are displayed outside they also have boxes filled with pumpkins inside. They also have a couple of different types of gourds if you want those. The pumpkins were a little more expensive than at other grocery stores. Other grocery stores had them for $4.99 a piece and they were two for $12 at Harris teeter. The store is always so clean and inviting. While I was there I picked up some of their Asian food from there hot bar. It was a little expensive but it was very delicious and tasted very fresh. I got a small container and this container cost about $7 when they weighed it.

8/14/21 I had ordered a cake online that wasn’t done when I got to the store, even though I had received a text that it was ready for pickup. The staff and manager were so polite and wonderful about quickly fixing my issue, and I left the store with a beautiful, decorated cake! Thank you for being so friendly, and having amazing customer service!

Love this store. Lots of healthy options, fresh food items, with a decent seafood and meat selection. The produce is ample, like an indoor farmers market. Clean environment with friendly employees. I was missing Dierbergs and Whole Foods, but this is helping tons.
