One of the most unique stays weve experienced this summer. Nature friendly stay, beautiful and well-equipped! The entire property is very well thought through, they have done their best to accommodate everything a guest would need. The site comes with a pavilion that has well-equipped kitchen with fridge and dishes + board games. The tents are basic (as they should beand spread out so ask in advance if you want your friends tent next to yours. Kayaks, firewood, seating at beach, deck all are there for you to use. We spotted some wildlife during our stay, deer and a bear (no food in tents is a must follow)!Things to be aware of1. Lots of walking: The beach, pavilion, shower, tents are at a good walking distance and require climbing, so comfortable shoes are a must. Also plan in advance, what do you need at the kitchen, what do you need in tent... we got very efficient by end of Day 1.2. Nature friendly Bathroom: The outhouse next to the tent required some getting used to. Again, has everything you would need, well-equipped but doesnt have running water. Hand washing station was downhill at pavilion so be prepared for it.3. Lights out: The beautiful string lights that guide you to the tents shuts by 11.30 pm, get torches if you plan to walk back after that.4. Read the instructions: They have written everything once needs to know about checking in, checking out, noise limits, kitchen rules, what to feed the property dog and chicken.5. Cold nights: We got lucky with one warm night but the next one was freezing. Get extra blankets, warm PJs.Overall, we loved our stay. Would highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back.

We stayed in the B&B while taking a 2-day kayaking course (also run by the same people). The room and facilities are excellent. Do-it-yourself full breakfast. Nice little beach and great equipment available to borrow freely. Its close to the highway so there is some traffic noise but it didnt bother us -- we were too busy paddling and falling exhausted into the comfy bed. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience!!!Such a laid back and relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed a nap in the hammocks, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, fire by the water, board games in the kitchen common area during the rain.... everything was awesome! It is a bit of a trek to some of the tents, you can hear the road and trains...but they said all of this on their website.I loved it here and hope to come back!

For the past 3 years the Stride and Stretch Oudoor Group has gathered at Harmony OUTdoor Inn for a few days. Each and every year the venue impresses us. New features are added, more opportunity for a weekend filled with laughter, paddling, campfires, wonderful glamping, and spending time with friends. Details are important at Harmony, comfortable beds, clean facilities, great Pavillion for gathering for meals and the shore line is well stocked with canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, hammocks, lots of wood for fires and one of our favourites is the yoga deck. Also, earplugs if the train noises nother, but we dont mind them. We will be back next year and as many more to come.

This was my second time at Harmony Outdoor Inn this summer with my partner and this time we stayed in the B&B Superior Room. Every detail from the decor to the breakfast is curated with care and attention. The owner of the space James, was wonderful to connect with and genuinely cares about the experience of those visiting. Loved swimming in the water and hanging out on the dock, soaking in the sunshine and meditating. We will back again next season.

Nature therapy at its best! This place has everything I needed to unplug and relax. I particularly enjoyed my lovely greeting from Molly, beautiful tent and comfortable bed, easy access to the beach, lovely yoga deck, kayaks and paddle boards. I appreciated the attention to detail and the overall eco-friendly vibe. This property simply took my breath away. Thank you, Harmony Inn! #harmonyoverbalance*** I gave 4 stars for location because there are some loud trains that pass nearby. The sound didnt bother me and the owners thoughtfully provide earplugs, so this is just something to be aware of. The property itself is beautiful!

Loved this place! It was more like a cabin then a tent- with solid wood furniture and rugs and and solar battery lights. You look outside and its just trees. Our tent was very private- we didnt hear or see other guests unless we came down to the pavilion. Looking forward to coming again next year.

We stayed for 3 nights, Really liked their tents and the pavilion, very convenient to make your own food and eat and hangout. Love their kayaks, high quality equipments and the day tour looks fun! We didn’t join but looks like everyone else had fun! Then things are not that convenient: tents are a bit far from water, shower and cooking area, so you got to plan what to bring, otherwise you have to walk back and forth a few times. There are millions of mosquitoes, maybe b/c it’s close to the lake? The toilet is clean but very simple, people who like me, not a camping fan, might not like the toilets( but you can always book the B&B room and enjoy the other facilitiesoverall, it was a good experience!

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Hemlock tent which at the time was relocated to the Aspen tent. The tent itself was spectacular, brand new addition to their tenting fleet. All the other guests at the cottage were super respectful and the owners were nothing short of accommodating. Would highly recommend the place as a weekend getaway. Really easy location to find and the perfect mix of home and cottage!

Great place to get away for the weekend. Grounds were beautiful and well kept. Kitchen was stocked with all utensils, plates, etc. and overall organized for all the guests. Tents were absolutely beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. Nice to be close to the city to visit but when you were at Harmony Inn you felt you were away glamping and the tents are well within the forest. You can hear the trains, however I think that would be anywhere in Parry Sound and they provided ear plugs if needed.

We visited Harmony Outdoor Inn for 2 nights in June and has occupied two of the tents. It was our first time glamping and what a wonderful experience it was. James & team made our stay very comfortable. The property is very well maintained and our stay was quite comfortable. Property is neat and the team is excellent. It sure was the most comfortable way of camping! Parry Sound itself is a wonderful town and the property is located very close to all necessities (wallmart/sobeys/Tim’s/Starbucks/Marks..).We also did the guided Kayak tour with James and it was great as well.

What an incredible space! Thanks to Dympna, James and their employee Eric for a great stay.My friend and I stayed in the Maples tent (2 single bedsthis past weekend and made great use of the dock, SUP, Canoe, Kayaks and Yoga deck! The shared pavilion was so well stocked - we overpacked on cooking supplies since everything you need is there! There are dedicated cubbies for food and dedicated shelves in two fridges for each tent; as well as space in freezers if needed. The showers were great and there are various compost toilets in common areas (pavilion, beachand one for each tent. The location is near the highway and train but we were able to sleep soundly with earplugs in (which they provide). As someone who usually does backcountry camping, this was a great experience and a pleasurable alternative to a local campground or hotel and had so many great amenities!Definitely recommend for anyone looking for this type of experience / a place to stay that is 5 minutes to downtown Parry Sound.

My spouse and I stayed in the Superior Room last summer and let me tell you, it was beyond our expectations. Not only the room but the entire property. This place is a hidden gem and only now am I realizing I haven’t left a review. Don’t let any bad reviews of this place you might stumble across (if anysway your choice of booking here. It has the perfect mix up of an intimate, clean B&B while you can also book the glamping tents for a more luxurious camping experience. Free kayak, canoe and stand up paddle boards for use all day long. Im looking to book here again sometime this summer and the following. Also had the best nights sleep of my life in the Superior Room in the B&B, the pillows and bed felt like a cloud. Did I forget to mention, complimentary breakfast available in the B&B? Eggs right from their chicken coop. I could write on forever but I’ll end with saying, don’t pass up an opportunity to stay here. Cheers.

The pictures do not do this place justice! Not only is the entire properly so tastefully decorated and “Instagram worthy” but the location itself is perfectly nestled in the wilderness but also so close to town. The owner and staff are absolutely lovely, as are the chickens and the on site dog Molly. We had this gorgeous property all to ourselves for my fall visit with my sister…we got to use the brand new *spider free* kayaks as much as we wanted (without anybody breathing down our necks), enjoyed a gorgeous country breakfast of their very own fresh eggs, did yoga on the waterfront deck, and got to gander at all of their gorgeous glamping tents! I even fed a chipmunk right out of my hand on this magical property. The part that stands out more than the tasteful decor is how CLEAN this place was—absolutely spotless—and just a joy to stay in. Will be returning. Highly recommend 10/10.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Harmony Outdoor Inn (Huron roomfor two nights this Thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful time! The room, shared bathroom, and entire house was clean and cozy, with nice cabin-like decor. We really enjoyed the self-serve breakfast (eggs, waffles, bagels, yogurt, granola, cheese, etcand had a lovely time chatting with the owners, James and Dympna, and giving lots of pets to their adorable dog Molly. We also really enjoyed the private dock, fire pit, and the little hiking trail on site as well. The Inn is also just a 5-minute drive from Parry Sound, so the location is great! It was a lovely little escape from the city - highly recommend!

Outdoor Harmony Inn is absolutely incredible. My Husband and I stayed here over the long weekend for our Anniversary and we will definitely be back. We stayed in the Ironwood tent. It was the most private but the hardest hike (which really wasnt that badI would recommend not bringing rolling suitcases unless you can carry it to your tent. If you are staying in the other tents it is not as hard of a trek. There is a Pavilion which is the dining/ food prepping area. You have a shared fridge with a dedicated shelf labeled for your corresponding tent. The freezer is shared and you have your own cabinet for your dried goods. They also include pots, pans, cutlery, dishes and cooking utensils. There is a bbq and a propane stove outside the pavilion to use. Right outside the Pavilion there are more outdoor dining picnic tables and a small building that has 2 outdoor sinks for doing dishes and brushing your teeth. You will find a couple outhouses and 2 outdoor showers. The showers are either HOT or COLD there is no in between that I could get haha. It was perfect temperature for me but my husband felt like his skin was melting 😛 The beach area is very relaxing. There is a fire pit with Muskoka chairs surrounding it. A deck which is used for Yoga or sitting (more Muskoka chairs). There are SUPs and kayaks that you can use and a private rack for your own. There is a dock to sit at and watch the sunset or fish off of. As far as the Tent goes it was very clean and comfortable. We had a queen size bed that was fine. You can hear the highway and the train throughout the night but it did not bother me at all. We slept right through it. If you are sensitive to the noise of trains and highway then you can use the earplugs provided or probably stay in the INN. Make sure you pack your own blankets and maybe bring a couple extra pillows if you are used to sleeping with more than just 1. Flashlight comes in handy when you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The outhouse is an outhouse. It is clean and has everything you need. But it is an outhouse so there is an outhouse smell. We saw a a little black bear during our visit by the tents so MAKE SURE you do not bring any food to your tents. Overall this place is beautiful. We loved every bit of it and will be back again. It is important to remember that when you are stying in the tents you are OUTDOORS so there are critters and those critters might be in your tent, it its located right off the highway and next to railroad tracks so there is noise from that. It is not completely remote but they do a GREAT job at making it feel pretty close. The owners and staff do not linger around the guests so if you have questions ,make sure you reach out to them over the phone. There are signs everywhere in your tent and outhouses and showers that are descriptive and tell you what to do so make sure you READ the signs cause they will probably answer most of your questions. We had a hard time getting in at the restaurants so make sure you book a reservation in advance if you are looking not to cook.

Dympna and James were amazing hosts and very accommodating. Joedy was friendly and helpful and all the staff were very welcoming. We took the bus from Toronto and found it convenient. We stayed in the Superior Suite for 4 nights. The beds were comfy, the room immaculate and the artwork beautiful. Everything is close by and we walked into town a few times to explore or have lunch. The highlight for me was the kayaking day tour with OSKC. The guide was very knowledgeable and we saw a bald eagle! Whether it was relaxing on the dock, watching the sunset or going for a paddle, Harmony was the perfect getaway and we cant wait to go back. Would highly recommend!

I would not stay here again. Harmony Outdoor Inn is more of a camping hostel complete with instructions to strip the sheets off your bed and sweep out your tent upon departure. This does not meet the standard of glamping - showers have a bad odour, no running water in the kitchen, outhouses instead of toilets etc. No one greeted me upon arrival at 6:30 pm and although I phoned and rang the bell at the main house, there was no one around and no note / instructions left for me. I located my tent and was shown the location of facilities by another guest. The Inns phone line does not accept messages so I emailed a request for the water reservoir to be refilled on the second day. Such things should be monitored and topped up but there were no staff about. As the request was ignored, I tracked down someone loading kayaks in the parking lot just before dark and asked for his help to refill the reservoir. That was my sole interaction with anyone who worked there. Very odd. Most importantly, the Inn should publicize the fact that sleep will be affected by the sounds of heavy train traffic complete with horn-blowing and road traffic on the busy Hwy 400 which is close enough to see from the property. They do provide earplugs which was my early clue that I would not be getting a good nights rest. The earplugs were somewhat helpful but not enough to mask the horn blasts. I now see from a response to other review complaints that the owners defend the train noise as being a matter of Parry Sounds proud heritage. That is not the point; they should disclose that the Inn is situated in a very noisy location and let their customers decide if that matters or not. Since this is a place that people intend to use for sleep, excessive noise is a consideration. Not at all worth $160/night. For $175 you can stay at the nearby Comfort Inn, a place to charge your phone overnight, have a private bathroom with running water and a good nights sleep so you can enjoy your day (they also change the beds and clean the room after you leave).

I had a wonderful 4 day, 3 night stay in the “Maples” glamping tent while taking one of their OSKC kayaking courses. It was immediately clear the passion and effort that was put into creating and maintaining the trails, pavilion, waterfront, tents, etc. Dympna and James are great hosts and kayak instructors. One morning I was lucky enough to see a deer moving through the trees behind my tent and had a fox on the front porch. Great experience, I highly recommend!

Quiet possibly the best Ontario vacation I have experienced thus far!! To keep it short and sweet, book this place ASAP the moment you see an opening! If you want a unique experience, freedom, adventure, nature and having the best hosts ever, then you will not regret it!Now for the overall review: We had an incredible time staying at Harmony Outdoor Inn to say the least. We booked their glamping tents and wow was it beautiful! Its still a tent, so please make sure you bring a down duvet or sleeping bags for the night time cuz it gets quiet chilly. The tents though are spacious and solar powered, with nightstand and a book shelf and seating for you to get comfortable in :). Theres also quiet an intuitive outhouse for your use with everything you need and wasnt that bad of an experience actually. Theres even a sink! Everything they do, they do it for nature and you do not forget that. Even the luxuries of the tent, the makeshift sink and the modern outhouse does not take away that you are in nature and everything that you do affect nature and that was an incredibly them to experience. Not on that but theres this great walkway to the tents with stone steps and lit beautifully in the nighttime. Theres the communal area where you have your own cupboard and fridge space with everything you need for cooking included! Adds to the comfort and freedom you can have in the place!Theres also complimentary use of their water sports equipment on one of the clearest water youll ever find in Ontario! They have Stand up paddleboard, Kayak, Canoe and all they ask is for you to wear their personal flotation device which they have! It was so much fun just exploring the waterways and swimming by the beach. They also do lessons! But as one of their guest they just give you full ownership to do whatever you want unless you call for them which i found was relaxing, freeing and just allowed us to have the most fun.Theres a bonbfire by the beach and at night you can see the damn milkyway! So many stars to see! I cant emphasis enough the atmosphere and experience they have brought to these place, with all the accommodations they provide, the path to the tents, the path to the beach, the hiking trail in the vicinity, the communal area, Molly the dog, and OH they have a chicken coup!! I cant express how amazing this place was so if youre down for the adventure, if youre down for some outdoor fun and camping with a queen size bed (or two twins depending on your situationcome up, explore the place, explore the beautiful Parry Sound and just have the best time ever. If you fear being too far from the big city and think youll run out of supplies, lol theres literally a starbucks, mcdonalds, tims and Walmart 5 minutes away (BUT Doesnt take away from the outdoor experience!ENJOY IT! ITS THE BEST. Will come back as soon as possible :D! Thank you James and everyone at the Inn! Best experience!

Our experience at the Harmony Outdoor Inn was marvelous to say the least. It was a perfect melange of woods, water and nature. Be it the b&b or the tent, we had a great time exploring it, and enjoyed it to the core. The only spoiler was the constant noise from Hwy400 nearby, but that can be ignored. Awesome little town of Parry Sound, with its nooks and corners was a joy to explore. A great weekend off from GTA. I must say host are very good in nature and very helpful.

My son and I just came back from a 2 night stay at Harmony. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this magical place. James and Dympna were right on hand to welcome us. We stayed in the B&B in the Georgian room. I slept like a log the bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. Dympna made us waffles the following morning. There is such a warm, homey feel to this place. The beach is about a 5 minute walk down the path that are lit with hanging fairy lights. The pavilion and wash up station was perfect for us to store our food and cook on the BBQ and burners. The place was not too crowded and we met wonderful other guests who were staying there as well. There’s a wonderful comraderie there. The tents also looked cool and it would be some thing that I would try in the future. Lots of kayaks and paddle boards to use. Thank you James, Dympna (Molly and the chickensfor helping us create such a wonderful memory for me and my family! We can’t wait to come to again one day

We travelled as a couple and absolutely loved our stay at Harmony Outdoor Inn which offers both glamping and b&b. We stayed 2 nights in the birches tent and, since we didn’t feel it was enough, prolonged our stay for one more night but at b&b since the tents were all booked up. The tents have comfortable beds and plenty of space for your belongings. They are located on a slight hill and away from the common areas making them very private. Each tent has its own composting toilet and a washing station (5 step walk from the tent). The bedroom which we stayed in (the superioris renovated, has its own renovated bathroom and is equipped with everything you will need for your stay. All areas (tents, waterfront, toilets/shower, pavilionare super clean, well decorated and well maintained. We took advantage of the kayaks and stand up paddles which are offered to guests but didn’t take advantage of the whole day Georgian bay kayak trips which James and Dympna (the hostsalso offer to their guests (we did hear wonderful reviews about the trips).Thank you James and Dympna for making us feel so welcomed and comfortable throughout our stay. You are wonderful hosts. We will be back (and hopefully sooner than later)!Don’t hesitate to come and check out this awesome place :)

Just came back from my 2nd stay at the Harmony Outdoor Inn, hopefully it wont be my last! The access to the Waterfront and kayaking makes this the perfect destination to escape Toronto and enjoy the outdoors. Great stay, we booked the tents. It was very well kept. Yes, its a bit of hike from the common areas of barbecue or waterfront, but all well planned. The hosts are a very warm couple, very helpful. The best part of the stay was the water activities, SUP, Kayak, Canoe, or just swim. Its an awesome water body, for all the activities, with lots of natural beauty. I strongly recommend!

Staying at Harmony Inn was honestly a little magical getaway. It’s a perfect weekend escape from Toronto. It took us 2 hours door to door. There are gorgeous trails of lights that lead you down to the waterfront and up to the tent line. The trail up to the tents is through an enchanted forest. There are moss covered rocks and foot bridges, and I’m certain we stumbled past a Hobbit out on a quest. You seriously feel like you’re in a fairytale. We stayed in one of the tents. The bed was super cozy and the view was stunning. The water is calm and quiet, the perfect place to learn to kayak. And although you are in this woodland oasis there are still convenient creature comforts - electricity and lights in the tents, warm, clean, gorgeous cedar showers, super wifi (not that you’ll want to be on it), and town a 5 minute drive away incase you forgot something or want to grab a Starbucks in the morning before anyone even notices you’re gone.I can’t say enough good things about our time at Harmony.

We had the most incredible time at Harmony last summer!! The glamping tents are totally private and surrounded by a beautiful forest. Beds were super comfortable and we loved the Muskoka chairs on our private porch. Also loved SUPing and kayaking on the quiet lake. I have recommended Harmony to all my friends and cant wait to come back this year!!

Just got back from a 2 night stay. What an amazing concept! We had a nice time and appreciated all the little things they provided (bug spray, use of all kitchen items in lovely pavillion, use of canoe and nicely lit walking trails). Only downfall .... Traffic on both sides of us and the train every hour at night. Also, dont know when the comforter was washed but it smelled of sweat, not nice to cosy up to at night.

We stayed at their b&b accommodation in July this year. Rooms are very clean, tastefully decorated, spacious and quiet. The hosts, Dympna and James are well informed about the area and if youre into kayaking/paddle board - this is the place to check it out.Our stay was too short so unfortunately we did not have the time to do so.The water is located a short walk away and is a little haven with hammocks and chairs on the wooden terrace and on the mini "shore".Lovely place to relax and read.Breakfast was the regular buffet of eggs/sausage/muesli/fruit combination BUT all homemade or local (maple sausages, delicious combination of toasted oatmeal/nuts muesli etcand not to mention the freshly baked bread. A feast!Personal touch - our daughter had her 16th birthday while we were staying there and we were "surprised" by the hosts with one of the most delicious homemade chocolate cake decorated with fresh raspberries. We will definite return if were in the area again.

We bumped into this place by accident as we were trying to search for a place for a weekend stay in Parry Sound (since our original booking at another location got canceled at last minute). And we loved every minute of the time spent here. The tent concept was amazing since you get a proper bed in the tent yet you still get a feel of a pampered camping experience. the beach side was amazing. we stayed on the beach till late night and had a bonfire. using the Kayaks and Canoe was fun. the hosts were very accommodating and welcoming. Remember kids under 13 are not allowed. In short 5 stars, would definitely come again in the future and recommend to others.
