Large park with several historic structures plus a visitor’s centre, river, lake & walking trails.
Very nice park, dogs need to stay on a lead, car park £2 for 2 hours. Cafe serves hot food until 14:30, dog friendly.
Visited end of sept 2022 for a quiet walk and loud pumping base music and some women on loud microphone possible dance class from Hardwick Hotel grounds. Could hear it all over Hardwick Park. So much for peaceful walk
Fab park for all ages lovely walks really great cafe home cooked pies scones quiches dogs allowed toilets picnic area playground for kids well worth a visit £3 parking all day
Love this place, have been coming for years and its always busy but is big enough to accomodate every. Enty of parking and the park is well maintained. A little gem!
Lovely place to go for a walk. Ideal for summer days and picnics.
Always a treat to go when visiting our grandchildren. The park has lots of free trails and events scheduled over the year. Lots of birds on the lake and in the woodland plus a little cafe and playpark.
Lovely country park next to the hotel. Easy walking for those with disabilities with plenty of rest stops. Lots of wildfowl to see. Playground for the kids and snacks available from the shop and cafe. We even found a Gruffalo! Plenty of parking but not free.
Hardwick Park has plenty of space for the kids to play, explore, feed the birds and have a picnic!
Beautiful and tranquil. Even the geese were polite!
We love this Park! Theres plenty to see and do. A lovely walk around the lake and lots of cute ducks and swans to feed with the seeds bought at the café! My two little girls love the playgrounds. Theres plenty of picnic tables and grass area to chill and have something to eat. We love the gift shop too. I would highly recommend this place for a lovely day out!
I love Hardwick Park. Its a place we keep coming back to visit time and time again. There is plenty of benches around the park so my elderly mum can stop on rest when she feels the need to stop
Well run, many families enjoying the fresh air and nicely maintained grounds and facilities. What Sunday afternoons are all about. Could almost see what it must have been like in the Victorian age, no gangs of youths or bikes hurtling about.
Great day out with the family, free entry but parking is £3.00 for the full day, which I think is pretty reasonable. On site café and toilets. Lots of wildlife and scenery to explore, you can take a picnic or buy in the café. Theres a play park for the kids. A dog friendly site, however they must be kept on leads to protect the waterfowl around the grounds. Bins are provided but there are still folks that leave bags and cups laid around. We picked up a few items and binned them. I dont know how you can educate folks to pick up after themselves, it seems to be a global problem these days. Still a lovely place to get in touch with nature.
Good for dog walkers. Disgusting smell from birds droppings and the water! A lot of rubbish and beer cans .
My first visit didnt disappoint. Visited with wife, 11 year old son and dog. Good facilities, 50p for a bag of bird feed and a truly beautiful walk around the lake and monuments galore. £2 to park for 2 hours and £3 for all day. Only downside was (of coursepeople with dogs not keeping them on a lead, one dog jumped in the lake after a duck. The owner just stood there screaming!! The weather was lovely and the photos speak a thousand words.
Beautiful area to walk around, bit overcast & drizzly today but wirth the walk out. You can make your walk as long or as short as you like, paths are good for wheelchairs & push chairs. Parking is £2 for two hours but I always put in £3 for all day so there is no rushing. Toilets on site as well as a gift shop (which I have never been inand a cafe which is take away only at the moment however there is seating outdoors for you to take a pew while enjoying a hot chocolate. Good for folk of any age, young or older. 👌
Lovely park. Very spacious. Has everything you could want from a park... water, monuments, bridges, ducks, swans, geese, play areas, a nice cafe, clear paths... excellent in my opinion.
Had a great day at the Vintage Car and Motorcycle Show 2022Great turnout, nice atmosphere and some stunning exhibits all in a fantastic location
Lovely park with loads to explore plus a playground and visitor centre. £3 all day parking makes it a great value family outing
Local to me so I visit often. Great for walking my dogs.
Lovely park and grounds for walks but always very busy. Car park has limited spaces and not cheap. Cafe nice enough but very small considering visitor numbers. Quiche/pies very nice. Play park OK but not the best for very small children, hard surfaces and rough textures offer little comfort that your little one will escape without some sort of injury. Worth a visit.
Perfect day out with the children. There are lovely trails, play areas and picnic tables with a cafe and toilets available. The parking is £3 so it is not cheap unless you spend the whole day there. There could do with being toilets at the far end of the park as it is a long way back if young children suddenly want the toilet.
Gorgeous place, ideal for bird watchers, dog walkers (including enclosed an fenced areas to allow them off the leads), picnics, family day out (cafes and parkssuanters and more. Loved th place
Fabulous family park lots of wildlife and features to entertain the children
A very beautiful and clean park, with loads of fothpats and small lakes, there are 2 small car parks on front and there is a large car park for busy days.Price for parking is : 2£ for 2 hours and 3 £ for all day, cash or pay by phone (no contactless unfortunately)There is a cafe shop, playground for kids, toilets, electric charging for cars.
A great place for a walk out with the dog or the family.Theres a nice play area for them to enjoy and access to Hardwick Hall at the back of the park. Dogs must be kept on leads between 9am and 6pm. The car park costs £2 for 2 hours and £3 for all day. Gates are locked at 5pm.
Love love love this place. Time out walking the dog aka Jeff. Just a perfect place to walk the stress of everyday life away. ❤
Beautiful place for a walk, catch wildlife and enjoy a picnic and relax, there is a cafe on site and toilet facilities, £2 for 2 hrs parking in a car is reasonable
Very beautiful place, well cared for. Lots of wildlife to be spotted. The amenities are very clean and all are wheelchair accessible. Carpark you have to pay for but at £3 all day it will not break the bank.
Lovely place nice clean toilets and a scenic walk around the river and lake their is a cafe but we didnt try it, A play area for children and lots of interesting things to look at on the walk round.
What a lovely country park!Beautiful features (buildings, statues, lakes, bridges etcso many paths to take which are all well maintained and would be fine on a wet muddy day under foot.Visitor centre, cafe, huge car park and play areas.Car parking £2 for two hours or £3 for full day.Dogs must be on leads at all times and throughout the entirety of the site.Lots of lovely birds to view!
Always a nice walk around. Food is ok nothing spectacular but nice all the same. Always tidy around the park too
My first visit to this lovely woodland area. An ideal location for a leisurely walk followed by a picnic. If it wasnt for the torrential rain, halfway into our walk, we could have explored more of this charming environment.
Great place to go for a walk with wheelchair and pushchair friendly paths. Dog enclosures near the car park so great to let them off and run around otherwise they need to be on a lead. Cafe and information centre on site and look out for events such as the Halloween walk and Raindeer building at certain times of year.
Beautiful place for a walk. We got married in Hardwick halld so took our kids back for mimicking photos. The kids are a great time. The Cafe is also really good food and the cakes are amazing. The gift shop sells bird seed too so we enjoyed the ducks and geese coming up for food and letting us stroke them.
Nice place good 3hrs of wandering around with modest car parking fee £3 all day recommended or £2 for two hrs.
Good access from all routes. Amble parking with disabled parking too.Wheelchair, pram/pushchair friendly.Good walk at any pace its good for all ages,Looks pretty loads to see lots of different birds to see.Play area and activities.Cafe and toilets with good access
Always a pleasant walk and today with four grandchildren. They enjoyed the small funfair and feeding the ducks. Fantastic family place to visit. Highly recommended
Nice little escape with plenty of walkways to enjoy in the sunshine as well as the lake. Truly is a beautiful spot to enjoy nature
Plenty of parking spaces, prices not bad, £3 all day I think. Cafe with good food and places to sit inside and out. Clean toilets and of course very pleasant walks around the waterside.
Really really enjoyed it here nice walks and different routes to take. Massive lake and loads of birds to feed picnic benches around and very spacious. Also has a play park here and a cafe which was reasonably prices. I can imagine in the summer here its lovely
Great park tidy park suitable for all occasions. Its tidy, well kept and a great mix of open, wooded area and marshland. Weve taken our 18 month old and it took us 1.5hr at her pace, there is a few play areas as well. Its great for all family, plenty of well maintained open spaces and paths (which would be suitable for a wheelchair). Would make a perfect spot for a picnic on a nice sunny day as the fields are well maintained and theres plenty of space. You need pay by phone for parking, but considering you get a well maintained area with toilets it is reasonable. Havent been able to access coffee shop and the gift shop due to covid-19 restrictions, but well certainly be back again.
Absolutely love this place! Went there for the first time 3 weeks ago and have been back every week since. So much to do and see, I havent seen all of it yet. Staff are friendly, plenty of car parking spaces, toilet facilities, cafe and gift shop. My daughter is 3 and never wants to leave, we love feeding the ducks and making memories.
Awesome place for a little dander. You could easily spend the day walking around this country park, its a hidden little gem.Theres a cafe serving just about everything at a reasonable price. Theres a little play park for kids and picnic tables near by for families to sit, watch and have food and beverages. The path is reasonably flat most of the ways around and is accessible for push chairs and wheelchairs alike. There is disabled parking and plenty of parking for everyone with an overspill car park. Theres various little lakes and one big one with plenty of wild life and birds around them. Bird feed is a must, however the birds are over friendly and very used to humans, some may see them as an act of aggression, but they are more over friendly with a little greed mixed in. They will feed off your hand no problem. All in all, a very enjoyable day it for families and folk alike. There is no price of admission with the exception of paying for the car park which is well priced at a small charge.
Lovely walk around the park in todays sunshine. Plenty of space to social distance from people. Interesting follies and art around the lakes and lots of swans, geese and ducks too.
beautiful and spacious. great for burning off energy and stimulating kids imagination with all the pathways and secret spaces.
If you go on a weekday the place is desolate, it is perfect for photography, walking the dog or going for a quiet stroll. On weekends it is rife with life and other families. Before 9am and after 6pm you can let your dog off the leader. It is beautiful and there are lots of routes to explore, running, cycling or just walking. There is also a cafe, discovery room(colouring sheets and things to doand three play areas for children also toilet facilities
A great place for a walk and picnic, loads of ducks to feed and things to discover. Play areas for kids and benches to relax. The park also has a visitor centre and cafe, The paths are clean and flat and the whole park is well looked after. The only fee is parking, 3 quid for all day.
A wonderful park for family walks and rest. One can have good cappuccino for a fair price. Well kept park, birds and benches. Ideal for picnics. Large parking lot -£3 the whole day.
A really lovely place to walk around. Plenty of open spaces for kids to run about, with a few play parks dotted around. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead, though I think in some open areas they would be allowed to run freely. There are also some nice old buildings and structures around the park. There is plenty of parking on site which is reasonably priced, we paid £2 for 2hrs. There is also a cafe which serves hot food, sandwiches, hot & cold drinks.
