Harbour Society - Fine dining restaurant in Auckland, New Zealand
will come back again. Local market fish and oyster surprised me .Duck taste good as well. Salad with a good amount. Presentation looks good. . For fine dining, this restaurant got good amount.
My favourite restaurant in townFood, service, view, ambience, everything on point, also very reasonably priced
Everything was perfect. The food, the view, the service. The sashimi melted in the mouth! We had oysters, market fish and aubergine. Great portion sizes too, we left perfectly full!
Amazing experience!! My friends had dietary requirements and the restaurant were very accomodating. There is a great view of the city from the 15th floor, however, the building beside it is under construction :(( which is a let down. The food was great too.. The highlights would be the market fish, the oysters and the kimchi roasties. Unfortunately, the mango dessert was the not the best, it was difficult to finish.. I would def come back for a bday, anniversary etc, !!
Good food and nice view.
The bottomless brunch was truly bottomless. The waitresses are attentive and friendly. We had a group of 8 and our glasses were topped up before they were even empty. The seafood platter was delicious and fresh. Entree, mains and desserts were delicious!
The restaurant environment is great. Its on the 15th floor. easy to find. The open kitchen makes everyone see it at a glance. The restaurant was not busy when I went there. There are a few tables by the window. It is convenient to see the scenery outside, and the experience is very good. The only fly in the ointment is that the oysters are sold out, so we chose sashimi.
Brunch Society is a thing here and I have to say it was awesome to experience. A first for me as Ive only had afternoon tea here when they first opened. Attentive and lovely staff who were very accommodating of our party of seven. I highly recommend booking bottomless brunch here and in fact I just made two bookings for December so they may be sick of me! The hospitality of it all is what made me want to go back so am looking forward to the good food and bubbles again. The only thing Im not a fan of is the seafood platter. Im not part of the fresh seafood movement but this just means that theres more for the table to enjoy. A cooked fish option for the minority wouldve been amazing but you cant please everyone so I get it. From the dessert platter, the only flavours I enjoyed was the berry creation and the crème brûlée. Good location and view of the harbour (apart from the glaring construction on one side).
4 of us went in for dinner and we shared a few plates. Beef chateubriand is a must, we asked for medium and it came out like a medium-rare which was perfect for me. Portion is generous and the sauce and mushrooms were so good along with the beef! Sashimi was nice, good variety and fresh, but had at least one scale on each piece of sashimi. I would not order the clam pasta again, not only was the taste not my preference but the pasta was all stuck to each other. We were sat by a table with good view and service was quick when prompted. Also good wine list.
Excellent !!!
We booked for our wedding anniversary dinner here. Food was lovely but the service was sub-par compared to other 5-star property restaurants.
Amazing food in AucklandThank you for the chefs for a beautiful food and yummyAmazing service from the waitress too
Delicious
Altogether a fairly clumsy and confused brunch experience I thought. The service was great - the staff were wonderful and very attentive so no issues there at all. The food however was a let down and worth no more than 3 stars. The amuse bouche was meant to be a tropical punch which sounded great (who doesn’t like tropical punch?but neither of us could even drink it 🤢, the seafood platter was average, the duck ramen to its credit was reasonable and the roast beef was just plain disappointing. Underdone to the point where it was cold and difficult to cut through, accompanied by a crying tiger sauce that was so spicy it should have been served on the side rather than swirled around the edge of the plate. In the end we both left our mains unfinished. The desserts were the better part of the meal by far but not to any extent that could possibly salvage the entire experience from being mediocre unfortunately. The quantity of the food was more than sufficient but the quality fell below the mark sadly. I doubt we would go back which really saddens me because the bottomless brunch is a great concept, there are just other far better eateries in Auckland to choose from for a Saturday out with loved ones.
This is the BEST RESTAURANT IN AUCKLAND. The Asian fusion menu is so clever, so well thought through, so balanced, and so delicious. The hospitality of the staff is top notch and you have amazing views of the harbour as well. I really enjoy dining here.
We went there for their restaurant months menu, $65 for 3 course which is a very good value. Food are OK. Service was a little bit slow, but it was a Friday night. Staff were friendly and helpful. This restaurant is on the level 15, and has very good view.
My husband booked this restaurant for my birthday. Located on the 15th of So Hotel.Food - highest quality of freshness, delectable and beautifully prepared. The Beef Tournedos is soft and excellent!Great service team, Kirsten is an amazing hostess.Great location, quiet, stunning decor and interior, this place is highly recommended.
One of our favorite night! I’m so craving for the Thai Oysters, definitely one of the best flavors you should try. Not a fan of the China oyster. We’ve had the Buratta cheese to start, cloudy bay clam pasta and Sirloin Steak to follow and finish with the lychee, matcha icecream dessert. The clams were so fresh and tasty, steak definitely a 5 star hit. The bun was complimentary and yummy. I don’t highly recommend the dessert as I thought the flavor was too weak. We’ve also order popcorn chicken from the bar snack menu and banana split which was yummy for our boy. Great selection of wine but very limited in cocktails. Perhaps this is something they need to improve
We went as a party of 4 on a Sunday night. The service was below average, the waiters didnt have much of an idea of what food was on the menu. The lamp on the table kept going out. Half of the food we ordered came 40 minutes after the rest of the food (same courseand in the end they tried to charge us for a bottle of wine we never received.
Lovely restaurant with stunning decor and scrumptious flavours which you dont get very often. Staff were very attentive. However please check your receipt carefully as they included an extra drink on ours by mistake.
Perfect !
Service was a top notch, very attentive staff. I had the awhi farms sirloin - my only complaint was its too salty for me but other than that I had an enjoyable dinning experience.
Delicious food, staff is excellent & helps with favorites of day. It was my bday & surprised by brun
Visited for dinner and breakfast. Served by Shivani, Anais, Leyo, Arjun & Cynthia. Excellent, friendly service from all of them. Food was excellent, delicious. View is amazing. A real highlight was the service robot which collects your used cutlery & plates etc - novel! Highly recommended.
The food was warm and delicious!
Top notch restaurant with awesome wine selection
Recently went here for my birthday, staff were amazing, very attentive and even gave an extra dessert plate when they found out it was my birthday.
Welcoming staff, brand new modern interior. It could have been a nice view but unfortunately there are constructions going around the SO hotel so I didnt feel like taking any pictures with the cranes in the day time. The lunch menu consist of max 2-3 courses. The set menu starts with complimentary butter & bread. King crab starter was beautifully presented, I assume the crab must be frozen ( I am a bit sensitive with frozen food taste, i understand that these species can not be fresh caught in NZ. My main dish duck breast was perfectly cooked! They were very delicious, but just 2 little slices for the main I thought it was just another starter.. Pistachio raspberry dessert were just mmm.. OK. Overall each plates were full of colours and beautiful presentation, good for foodie instagram photos. Good use of lots of ingredients, however the taste was just above average for a fine dining restaurant. Because of the small portions I would say its a little overpriced.
# 1 restaurant in my heart
Valentines so was quite full. Harbour view wasnt the most expansive being in the western side of the building but that happens. Annoyingly, our waitresses English was ok but it needs to be really good to describe the complex dishes & she was hard to understand even though we could deduce the gist of it. Im sure shell get better at it. The food from the Valentines set menu was pretty good, really liked the lamb rolled in cinder ash or something, lobster (not crayfishwas juicy & flavoursome, found the Hapuka a bit bland but overall pleasing & very rich so being full was not an issue. Desert was substantial with flourishes. $400 with a bottle of Veuve which seemed reasonable.
This is the closest to Michelin level service Ive experienced in NZ.The wine list particularly is astonishing, as is the huge range available by the glass with their Coravin system.Other restaurants should take note.Harbour Society is a must if you love fine dining.
Amazing tasting and presentation with the food. Would definitely recommend!!!
Beautiful setting, amazing service and sensational food. Attentive and welcoming staff as you arrive, you are quickly looked after with house made breads whilst you browse the menu. The crayfish entree was a winner along with the venison and seared tuna. Wine list is extensive and cocktails delicious as ever. Will definitely be returning!
Whilst the food was lovely and the waiter looking after us was really awesome the Manager was a rude, obnoxious & very ill mannered person who ruined our entire evening. We have been Accor card members for over 5 years now & always buy 2 cards costing about $450 ever year so that we can go with family & friends & have a great time which we have always till today.I went to the Harbour Society restaurant with my girlfriends tonight upon reaching there the maitre de asked me for my cards which I handed over also whilst booking I had clearly mentioned that we will be using 2 cards the maitre de made a note of my cards and after we finished the meal the manager of the restaurant came & started arguing with us that as only one family member was present & the other in whose name the other card was was not present he could not accept the other card. This was a very dishonest behavior on the managers part as he knew we were planning on using the 2 cards from the beginning but did not say anything and misled us by taking the 2 cards in the beginning & making us believe everything was ok. More so over when we pointed this out he started shouting at us in a loud voice in front of other customers & started asking us for ids to prove that we were the card holders.I have used my Accor cards around the world for years but have never been treated so disgustingly & shabbily our bill which came to over $450 was no small amount & I would assume the manager of all the people would be trained to treat an old loyal & valued customer with some courtesy & respect. I am sorry Accor but you have really let me down.
Amazing dishes. Perfect for special events or an anniversary. Try the set menu, you wont be disappointed. Every ingredients on the plates compliment each other so well.
Excellent service, great view. Menu was explained very well. Staff were attentive.
Great service and food with excellent presentation. Love the Harbour view as well.
Lovely! Friendly service, beautiful views and excellent food. Highly recommended the steak and oyster ;)
I would like to extend my commendation and recommendation to Cedric and his team. The experience was surreal and exceptional being our first time to be in a fine dining experience. He made us feel genuine customer with no judgement. The service of the food and beverage was second to none. The flare of Cedric should be rewarded to be in the Culinary Arts of service. The food is Wow, the chefs dishes that they brought to the table are a work of art, value for money and best of all our palette were dancing every bite.Thank you team for making our night memorable. Sure to come back with our individual families.Thank you Cedric.Kind regards,Liana B.
The service and food here are good, but the food is not that special.
Fabulous food, staff and atmosphere. It’s really great to have a restaurant in Auckland that is truly top class. Had lunch today
We were slightly disappointed in the food quality versus what was marketed on social media. Food was nice but not outstanding. Service and location was fantastic. We had 50% with Accor membership so pricing was fine however we wouldnt have been happy paying full price.
Wonderful food and amazing view up there. Price is super reasonable too. Would go again for sure
Very tasty and well presented on plates
Don’t order the So Amazing set menu it’s cheaper to order each one individually. Save yourself $40 for two for the roof top bar haha
I have really great experience in this place, we have opportunity to eat delicious food from Michelin star chefs around the world . Ambient was so nice, with wonderful view on Britomart . Only reason that Im not giving 5 star is becouse the outfit of some guest there having lunch in same time was so unappropriate. You need to have some dress code for your guest. Its quite unappropriate and I can say unrespectful to this beautiful place, workers there and especially for the chefs to let people in running shoes with dirt on it and very untidy and filthy look.
Food is always perfect. The staff are lovely. Sarah served us and her professionalism and friendliness made us feel so special and welcome. The view is phenomenal. We’ve been back a few times, and love it every time.
Beautifully prepared and presented food, as expected from a head chef with a Michelin star. Weve been twice, ordered a variety and there hasnt been a single dull bite. Staff are friendly and attentive, and service includes amuse bouche to start and small sweets to finish. The serving sizes are filling if you have 2 courses. As a bonus, this qualifies for an Accor Plus discount.
Wow, what an amazing restaurant! My wife decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary here. Amazing service, superb food and stunning views from 15th floor.
Friendly, informative staff. Stunning views and excellent food. I would definitely recommend the duck! 5 stars.
