Hanwell Zoo - Zoo in Battersea, United Kingdom
My kids love this place. We are here every 2-3 weeks. I recommend to but annual tickets.
great small kid friendly small city animal zoo. gread way to keep kiddos buzy all yr round. Please pre book tickets.
Great place. Lovely animal and playground combo is always a hit
Really lovely small zooReally great entertainment for the kidsLoved it
A lovely little private zoo with a variety of animals and activities. Annual membership is about £30 for an adult. If you have a kiddie who loves a playpark, water toys and sand then bring them here!!Theres also a free playpark (I e. Doesnt require entryjust outside it too with a privet maze. Public toilets inside and outside the zoo and a cafe that sells bacon/sausage baps. This is my Sunday morning adventure almost every weekend with my little kids.
Worse zoo I’ve ever been. I read the reviews and thought it looks okay. but it was the worst zoo I have ever been to. It looked like an abandoned scary place with hardly any people and animals. Everything was messy and dirty. Even the fish aquarium was pathetic. Don’t understand the reviews because it was completely opposite. The cages were far away not easily visible in for the kids? I honestly got depressed after visiting it
Lovely animal sanctuary. Our 4 year old LOOOOOVED it.
Our kids now our grandkids love this place even the maze that needs a little workAnimals exciting and the play area great fun
At £4.50 per adult, we decided to enjoy the playground and give it a miss. Dana at 17 months had a ball in the park, she especially loved the swing, seesaw & slide.
Cute little zoo with surprisingly cool animals. But the fencing around makes it difficult to see most of them. Think the outside fences needs to be updated for ease of watching them.
My family and I come here often, my little one likes tracking around to see the animals, enjoys the sandpit area, the ice-cream treat from the café on our way out. Theres a playground right across from it, as well as a maze. Its an amazing place for children and adults of all ages.
I took my daughter there to spend a day. A very nice place. It feels that you have come out of the hustle bustle of London. A place very close to nature. You can book the tickets either online or you can buy them from the gift shop there. There is a very good playing area for children which has a couple of activities to do to keep the kids engaged. The zoo is located in the middle of the woods which has a very good walking trail. I didnt go to the trail because didnt have time to do so but will definitely go there some day. While walking towards the zoo we crossed a small part of that trail and there were wild blackberry shrubs in abundance. I even tasted some and they were very tasty. I didnt have a bag otherwise I would have plucked some to take home. There is a kids area outside the zoo as well where they can play and spend time. Overall a day very well spent. Highly recommend place to go if you like nature walks.
Very cute place, I’d imagine lovely for family outing. It was a nice visit - Capybaras were here which is why we came. Wish the margay wasn’t in hiding but still - worthwhile and not expensive at all. Adult entry is only £4.50
I have to disagree with most of the high ratings on here. This ‘zoo’ is neglected, the animals look depressed, there is over grown shrubs so visibility of the animals is poor, double netting everywhere & just really dirty.I feel sorry for the animals. They don’t have a lot of room, they look bored. The goat was alone & was so sad looking. The flamingos hardly had any water & the little water they did have was dirty. The so called aquarium was one fish tank. There was neglected cages and shrubs all over the place. We hardly saw any animals. This was a bad visit, waste of time and money and a concern for the animals.
Very run down, aquarium has only 2 fish tanks, the greenery in and around the animal enclosures very poor and messy, in general animal enclosures are difficult to access so you barely can see some of the animals. Not worth the little price of £4.50
Heres a delight. Known locally as Bunny Park. Family scene. All nice people running it & visiting. Cafe with large selection ice cream, cooked food, coffee, indoor & outdoor seating. Fenced in playground for nearly all ages. A full height hedged Maze with viewing platform, huge park with Brent River and a mini zoo (donkeys, goats, rabbits, flamingoes, lemurs, cranes, love birds, alpacas etcwhich contains large sanded area for play including water & Archimedes screw.
Easy entertainment for kids; ducks llamas, flamingo, goats, tortoises etc all seem to be looked after OK too. Aquarium is not really an aquarium... But there is a nice playground in the zoo and another just next to it too
Small local Zoo but a great selection of animals for the £4 entry fee. The ground is a little uneven for moving around with a pram.
Great way to spend a couple of hours with my little one. Obviously not comparable to London Zoo in size, but that is part of the appeal - not too overwhelming for a small child, but enough to keep them entertained and to tire them out before nap time!
Lovely, spacious. Needs an interactive activity on the animals and their origins to stimulate the interest.
Amazing place... hidden within busy Londoners.. its a classic example of local community work and support for this zoo.. it is not a big zoo as you know... but its perfect for smaller kids under or up to 5 yrs. And peace lover...It also have a small sand pit, playing area and working watering Handpump (pump the water from earth itselfwhich is a really creative. my son spent whole day and still didnt want to leave it at the end.. the zoo keeper kicked us out.. 🤣🤣🤣😆😆😆...Price is soooo cheap just £4.50 for adult and 3.50 for kids over 3 yrs . Under 3 goes free and carer also go free. Its got free parking at the mmt but may change so keep an eye on board.I urge londoners to visit this hidden local zoo and support the zoo and its keepers. You will truly love it.. and worth spending time.
Small and calm zoo next to a park. No wild animals. This place has limited animals and birds on display. Decent place to spend time with small kids.
Perfect for a morning/afternoon out with family. There’s a Zoo, gift shop, cafe, toilets, playground, maze, walking and picnic areas. Car park is a short walk away (limited space on busy days).
Small but lovely zoo. Entrance fee for adults is only 4.50£.
little treasure right in hanwell. The kids and I had such a lovely time. we spent around 30 minutes inside the zoo and then had something to eat from the cafe.
Fairly small zoo but full of interesting and not the typical animals. Great for kids. And only a few £ entrance. Worth it.
I loved to find this zoo in the middle of a remote park, next to a marvellous looking church. You pay £4.50 per person and you can go in and out as many times as you want. You have a coffee shop and they serve some food also. And very important that there is a toilet fairly clean. Sadly many animals were missing, perhaps theyve been transferred in a warmer place as Ive been visiting in winter.. However, the animals present look very well kept and seemed happy. I have to say that I instantly feel in love with the lemurs and alpacas and the gorgeous flamingos.
We had a great time. We were expecting a small zoo, but it has more animals then we thought. The zoo keeper was feeding the animals at 11am, so some of them just wake up for that.
This zoo is small and humble but there is a lot of good stuff to see and to learn. Its a great visit for little ones.
Completely revamped heaven of peace with a great array of unusual animals in enclosures carefully designed. A small aquarium with a huge nest of leaf cutting ants cleverly designed.
Such a cute local place for a quick visit. Nice way to use an hour there are a few more interesting animals meercats, monkeys and plenty of birds, chickens etc. Nice place to bring kids there is a small play area. If you combine it with a visit to the maze and a wonder around bunny park it’s a nice day out. Still one family in and out of the aquarium and masks in the shop. No cafe but there is a simple one in the park or bring a picnic
This is a lovely small zoo, not a lot of animals. Decent value for money and friendly staff.Small free car park.
This zoo is simple and for children not for heavy zoo goers. The atmosphere is relaxing and easy for all adults and children alike walks are great especially for seniors and children get be with nature without the fast track of life. Staff are friendly better check out the ice cream parlor guy in there from Columbia and is extremely pleasant and good to serve clients front desk lady is just the same this place is about family and nature friendly service not main stream fast track make money quick scams. Don’t believe me check out the pictures and go yourself and enjoy a day out
I am dissapointed. people therefore still have to pay ?? the whole place is small, there are very few animals, and if there are even animals they are rarely seeable. if you want to go to a zoo look for another place a bigger. And besides, a lot of everything is closed or there are no animals and very crowded can barely be seen, plus it’s harder for kids to see them like that, I hope there will be more animals in the future.
Mmm, was a little disappointed, a few things were closed like the aquarium and the reptile center and a few things were coming soon, Im sure because of covid and restrictions so didnt really get to enjoy ourselves , my 2 year old im sure loved it as its very spacious so he could run around and they had a play area just outside and a sand pit play area inside. Was expecting to see more and more variety of animals.
Nice little zoo. Easier to see the birds, goats and donkeys than anything else. (Never got to see any lemurs). The reptile house and aquarium are closed because of Covid19 restrictions. Good playground inside. Not busy when I visited as they just reopened in April. The park outside the zoo is very nice, as well as the maze. Great playground and coffee shop too. The riverside walk nearby is also worth it.
Its a great place to have a family day out. See some animals, play in parks and the kids love to run around in the maze.Service is always so friendly and the atmosphere is always so peaceful. One of my favourite places to go!
At only £4.50 per adult, you go in with low expectations but come out pleasantly surprised. Theres some quite interesting animals and some less-so, but for the price it makes for a very fun and worthwhile outing without needing much time at all.
Good value for an hours entertainment. Some of the enclosures could do with a bit of work and Im not sure how happy some of the birds are. However, the meerkats are a highlight and there is a fairly decent variety of animals for l a small zoo.
It was a big park with lots of childrens area around and to walk. Has a mini zoo in the park which you pay online. They also had a mini cafe to buy some food items, ice cream and drinks. This park has lots of space and a cool maze!
Not too big but well laid out and tidy. Staff very friendly. Food very nice at the cafe. Great day out for smaller kids and good play area and maze outside. Worth a visit.
Visited on a hot afternoon but at the zoo due to its environment it was nice and pleasant . Great place to see the birds, reptiles, butterflies and other animals. Although there is not much to see. Worth the price. Can buy food and ice cream as well. Will definitely visit again.
Enjoyable place for a kids day out. Limited range of animals than what we were expecting but still good for the price you pay. Theres a fun sand play area inside and surrounding park, streams and maze. Clean environment. Enjoyed a nice picnic there. Theres limited car parking spaces but also pay and display.
What a wonderful little place. Ideal for younger children. The highlight was the bright pink flamingos but the zoo also contains lemurs, meerkats, alpacas and a tropical room where you can view butterflies, lizards and exotic frogs. The zoo also contains a small childrens playground area.
Lovely little zoo with animals such as Meerkats. Very reasonable ticket prices. Also the park has a great playground suitable for young and older children. A cafe (yummy icecream! There is also a maze. Zoo not well signposted however from the park gates. But makes a lovely family day out
Lovely little zoo, perfect for younger children. Animals include flamingos, lemurs, llamas, meerkats, pigs. Nice little cafe next to the zoo. There is also a great playground with sand area and water system
Nice place to visit.Perfect for small kids.Ticket prices are £3,50 and £7,00 for family, children under 3 is free entry. (which is very reasonable). They got nice play area for little children. Place is little but for this price is worth it. Spend nice time in there and my little Miss love to watch the animals.
This is hiding place in Hanwell as theres no signposted around place but place is worth it to visit if you have got young children especially. Got a nice little cafe , reasonable priced up. Ticket prices are £7.00 pounds for family which is very reasonable. They got play area for little children can play for couple of hours. Place is little but for this price definately worth it. Everything in order and parking is free around 25 cars can park i suppose.
Its not massive, but its reasonably priced for its size. Good little playground and plenty of animals for the kids to see. Little cafe outside that looked like it had a decent menu. Definitely worth a trip!
This little zoo is a lovely day out for young kids. You have to pay a small fee to see the animals. Once back out in the park, they have a childrens playground. There was a bouncy castle which you have to pay for. Not sure if it is there all year round. The park itself is lovely and on a nice day great for a picnic. There is a maze which we didnt go in to, hopefully on another day.
