Beautiful place to stay, professional and neat

Sound location for peaceful adventure. Good customer service.

The spa was closed during my stay. WiFi couldnt be accessed from our room but around the pool area. Friendly and polite staff ready to serve guests. Breakfast was just ok and manageable with very little choices. The room we had was recently renovated and looks quite okay. No drink water left in the room, no toothpaste. The surroundings, especially close to where we slept didnt look nice at all.

First impression & reading the website, it SOUNDS fantastic!!& parts of it were...but parts werent either.The GOOD.The room was clean & tidy with a comfy bed. Shower was good for both male & female needs. There was a small fridge (but it was turned off when we arrived...)The pool was AMAZING, possibly slightly too warm, but this is not a bad thing for most. But when wanting REAL refreshment after a humid day, u couldnt get. Its NOT a complaint, just a personal thought. Sun/environment heated only.The restaurant AREA was fantastic, altho could use some fans to move air if no breeze.The plants & some garden areas were a delight, beautiful colours.The birdlife was amazing to hear & watch.Seeing the crocs was cool, only from within the water thankfully🙂 saw no crocs come onto the land to sunbathe.The staff were generally good & helpfully altho some need to learn to smile.The cleanliness in general of the main areas was very good, especially parts of the gardens.The BAD.There were no SPA room treatments available! We were told not available for a few months. Despite there being a large sign still on display as we arrived.There was no parking close to our room. But was free.We were told the boat/dingy rides were under maintenance - but then saw others being taken for rides.There was NO buffet breakfast or dinner, as advertised.Breakfast choice was simply some oats (not sure if other types of cereal too&/or toast, with a small bit of cabbage & a slice of omlete. This was tasty enough, but not what we were expecting. 1 sausage was also offered on the 2nd day only. Unless we really asked, only tea, coffee & Milo for drinks. But they did manage to find/bring me a glass of pineapple juice - which was SOOOO tasty.Dinner I had roast chicken & rice. This was nice enough. Salad very plain tho.Internet was pretty much non existent everywhere. We had 2 diff types of providers & still couldnt successfully connect to the supposedly FREE wifi. We were told, sitting near the pool is best. But even then, it was poor.TV reception was also poor.Many rooms that we passed before getting to our room, seem totally abandoned & run down. We looked at each other wondering what on earth our room would be like!!!The tennis court was mouldy, dirty & unusable.The place has HUGE potential, but needs ALOT of money spent on it, which is not always available, which is understandable.

Great place, friendly service but the washroom at the swimming pool area needs immediate upgrading!!! I told them this personally. I cant say about the rooms because we didnt use any. But in all a serene atmosphere and therapeuticspot

While in the Central Region, we decided to have lunch at this beautiful botel and whaaat, they have one one of the best pizzas Ive ever tried! Although it took a while for it to be ready, the wait was worth it!The environment is very peaceful and you get to do a couple of activities like bird watching, crocodile watching, boat riding.Their swimming pool, rooms and services are also top notch! Will definitely recommend this place!

Visited the restaurant which is situated on water with real crocodiles! Got to see one though. Food was ok but took forever.

Hans Cottage is about 25mins from Cape Coast Castle and 25mins approximately from the Kakum National Park in different directions. It’s an amazing place to eat and relax whiles you enjoy the beautiful nature of fishes, birds, trees and flowers and Crocodiles around you. I recommend you go there after you are done with Kakum National Park. This breathtaking place has amazing workers who are so helpful and polite . I have been there more than 10 times and everyday I have a relaxing and amazing experience. You can feel the birds, have bird watching , touch the crocodiles and have a beautiful garden to relax at. I highly recommend this place and would never get bored a thousand times

Had a great lunch over here. Very friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful nature as well. The birds chirping in the background and the crocodile sights are such a treat.

The place are is really nice and worth a visit. Unfortunately I cant recommend the tour as it was only a couple of minutes without any information for 45 cedis... however the restaurant is a nice place to sit down and enjoy the view. The food itself is overpriced, the staff very friendly.

Spent four days with my family at this place. Location is Peaceful and serene. We got to see the crocs, birds and also feed the fishes. But their service is very poor. We booked for a family room. Their family room without a kitchenette comes with only a fridge and a t.v with 2 clear channels. No microwave nor kettle at your disposal. Apart from the pool n 2 slides there is basically no activity for kids. There is a lawn tennis court which is in a bad state. I think they need to sit up and bring the place back to life Fit it with more amenities for children

Beautiful settings, bathrooms were very clean and pleasant and it was great to do the crocodile tour. Staff were very friendly. We stayed for lunch and the food was spectacular. Would definitely recommend and make sure you do the crocodile tour.

I was only there for the day but I definitely intend to stay next time Im here. Food was great, service was fab, Aben and Christabella were fantastic tour guides and the facilities are top notch. And the animals? Very happy.

We stayed one night before visiting Cape Coast Castle, staff were nice and friendly but we were with a group of 10 and we were first to order food, even though it was only a pizza, everyone else had their food eaten, and some had even retired to bed before we got ours.The room was fine but the shower was dangerous, an electric shower with the wires hanging out and covered with masking tape, needless to say no shower was had that morning.

For the nature lovers, the place has retained its charm with regards to the beautiful scenery it offers with the bird sanctuary, the walkway etc.However, I believe it needs some facelift and a little bit more of activities to entertain the guests. Ive been coming here for some years now and I can say its not the Hans Cottage I knew back in the days.Nevertheless, when you find yourself in Cape coast, stop by the cottage to have that close experience with their crocodiles while embracing nature with a boat ride around the waterway.

Took two and a half hours to get awful food. Highly recommend not coming here.

The receptionist Helyma was exceptionally patient with us. She talked nicely to us and appeared ready to attend to us. The food we ate was fante fante with Kenkey. The food was exceptionally delicious. However, the gentleman who attended to us appeared impatient and wanted to rush us through the menu.The breakfast had a variety of food and fruits and was enough for us. The rooms are Ok but for the rate, I think it can be improved. The bed given to us was big enough for two people, however the mattress was not strong and it appears to curve in when you lie on it. The WC is located just close to where the shower is, making water always spilling on it. The natural and serene atmosphere is a plus. The birds, the crocodiles and the plants make it an interesting place to be.

Got two very helpful staffs who made my stay a beautiful one. Richard the guy from restaurant and Ebenezer. Very thoughtful and helpful✌️✌️I enjoyed their French fries too but wasn’t so please with the breakfast. Beautiful environment❤️The rest of the staff need more training on hospitality honestly. Overall I enjoyed by stay thanks to those two🤗✌️🙏🏾

Hans cottage Botel is a very nice place to be. With its wide range of activities like Bird watching, crocodile watching, Boat ride, among others, the place is one of the spots to find yourself to enjoy your day. Availability of restaurant and a hotel makes accommodation possible. Go there and enjoy! You will never regret!!!

Hans Cottage is a beautiful place... My friends and I didnt lodge there, but they have accommodation with cool prices... We were given a short tour around, told the history of the lake and the crocodiles it inhabits, the birds and the mini island etc... We even had a "boat ride" on the lake... And oh, they have a very big swimming pool, you could go there and unwind😊😊🤗

The tour guides are good at explaining all there is to know about the place. And its fun getting to touch a live crocodile. The only thing is, the swimming pool can be better than what is available currently, in terms of cleanliness.

This place makes one feel natural because its green everywhere and the workers there are good to everyone
