A hidden gem of history
Came here tonight for the haunted walk Oct 2019 and it was better than I expected.
Great history here, just looked up family graduating from Hanford High. Dont forget that Amelia Earhearts clothing is here to check out.
Friendly atmosphere
The landscaping was just a little unkept.
I love coming to the museum! Patricia and her staff are super nice and helpful. Its great to see the history of Hanford all in one place. The museum has a beautiful courtyard and its amazing to see how many events have taken place here and keeping downtown alive.Update:I had my birthday celebration here last month and they made it super special and easy for me. They told me to ask them for anything I need and they would best accommodate me and they absolutely did. They made sure me and my guests were well taken care of and everyone had a great time! I highly recommend having your events here.
Love this museum. The sword upstairs is awesome and so is that dollhouse replica of an actual house in Hanford. I like the mussel slough information and the old rifle from the shoot out of 1880.
Went there for a Baptism get together and it was great. Neat location.
Carnegie museum visit was great and have very kind and helpful staff
I love the HMTC acting classes, and the exhibits are really well curated. I especially love the doll house on the second floor
An interesting, historic, and educational place to visit. Good place to bring your kids at least once, and their outdoor Garden area is really nice for parties and such
Nice venue for an outdoor event. The bathroom is another story.
Great local museum. Worth the visit.
A very interesting place. Many great artifacts and history. Worth a try if not just to honor our WWII HEROES.
If you are visiting Hanford and interested in its history, this is the place to go.
Historical
Cool old place
ExcellentRental garden and facilities availableSchool tours availableMany exhibits to view.
Its a very old building, I love the feel of it. Almost everything inside seems original and makes it feel like going back in time. The owners cats are in the garden out back and one of them was super cuddly, which was amazing. Inside there are some antiques, like old telephones, coffee grinders, horseshoes, etc. A lot of it you can actually touch and see how it works. It was a fun visit.
its a shame they werent able to keep the firehouse Bell
Very interesting!A must see for anyone living in or visiting the Hanford area.
Great historic building, great displays. Lots of local history. Nice gardens for events
A great place to learn a little bit about our history
Love it
My son had his wedding there. Sadly they booked a different event for the same time. It made parking difficult. (He was told 2 days before his wedding. When we arrived we had to clean the area. The lawyers in the building connected to the Carnegie Hall werent aware of a wedding beginning at 5pm... which happened to be the time they end work. Oh, and our wedding music was too loud. Lol
My prom was here, very fun, very interesting.
Beautiful old library now a historical museum and county archive. They were very helpful with our genealogy research. If you have any historical photos, city directorys, etc. Please donate. Looking for a 1920 Corcoran city directory to replace the one taken recently.
Nice
First time here and staff was great and loved the museum. Thank u
Beautiful Place
Amazing staff and gorgeous artifact
Great place to bring the kids. Theres alot of cool stuff to look at, and alot to learn about Hanford here. Not to mention theres a painted rock garden in the front and everyone youll meet here is super friendly.
Awesome place to visit some history about our home town.... awesome staff members too
Small musuem not a destinationSmall collection. Limited hours
Neat place to visit and helpful staff.
This little museum is one of Kings Countys hidden gems! Interesting displays that change regularly and the ability to rent the museum for a reasonable fee for events.
Great place to find out local history
Such a cool find. Great memorabilia from the locals past in a beautiful old building. And just around the corner of a well known Hanford ice cream shop.
This library has great potential and has great things going for it! The museum displays one of two dresses in existence that belonged to Amelia Earheart, its in a building constructed in 1905 and they have a gorgeous court yard.
Awesome history here! Employees claim it is haunted by the Librarian who used to run the place and have lots of stories. Great place to visit.
