Wonderful day
It is a very nice place , the service and the food is great. However the prices are over expectactions and there a lot of spiders. We changed the house because of that ,but again the same all around are huge spiders and could not stay more than a one night here. That is why I rate this place with max of two stars. Maybe it will be improved one day.
Good place for relax.
Absolute amazing place to go and chill out, do some yoga and generally rest and relax
Loved it, the view from our bungalow was epic at sunrise. Pool was big, kid friendly and food was really good. Its a bit far from town but the road to it goes through some lovely little villages and beautiful scenery.Deffo be back
What an absolutely fantastic and beautiful resort. Totally "away from it all". If you want a relaxing, peaceful and super relaxing place to visit, then this is the place for you.Not too far out of Phnom Penh, but far enough to be "away"!The rooms are well constructed and very clean, the facilities in the rooms are first class and although there is no "air-con" in the rooms (because this is an eco-centre), it is actually not really required. The cool mountain breeze filters into your room no problem. And if you get too hot, try a refreshing dip in the more than adequate pool.Enjoy your stay.
It was a beautiful, quiet place to relax. Staff are very nice. Unfortunately, it was raining most of the time I was there but the big pool was a great compromise.
Great resort to escape from Phnom Penh. I recommend staying at least for 2 nights to give yourself a good rest from the bustle and hustle of the big city. Now they are building new bamboo bungalows for couples and families that should be opened at the end of this year.
It is a recommended place to escape the city...nice food and service, fresh air
Middle of nowhere, great views, peace and quiet, friendly staff and lovely food. Recommended.
good for relaxing with family
Wonderful resort nested on a hill with a stunning views. Super friendly and helpful staff as well.
Comfortable place for relax.
Super relaxing place with swimming pool and very good food
Im a huge fan of Bamboo architecture and we just completed a wonderful yoga retreat here.Beautiful location and delicious food. We all hope to return soon.
Nice place to be. 2.5 hours drive from Phnom Penh. Pretty relaxing. Peaceful surroundings. Friendly staff and pretty respectful and innocent team. Food is fairly priced and good.
Lovely place and friendly service. The view and breeze from the yoga dome is beautiful . But no yoga at the moment unfortunately! Good pool too
Quite place good for meditation
Very nice view, fresh air and just 3 hours away from Phnom Penh. The staff are very polite and friendly. Came here on pchum ben holidays, the weather is perfect, a little drizzle on evening and night. Sudden power outage is expected, the wifi are available at reception area and restaurant. The locals are friendly too, got a chance to cycles around the area and visit Hanchey temple (2km away). A perfect location for a short escape
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay in Hanchey Bamboo Resort.Great place to do digital detox (no wifi in bungalow), and unwind from city stress enjoying nature and trying/practicing yoga twice a day in a very nice setting of the Lotus Meditation Hall. Yoga classes are FOC.When it gets hot during the day, swimming pool with cool water is the perfect escape.Keep in mind that resort is quite isolated, hence your only dining option is the local restaurant: not a bad choice at all - nice variety of local dishes with a great view over Mekong river.Resort provides bicycles FOC, which is great; however bikes are not too well looked after: for a short trip, like to the closest pagoda complex, they are more than fine. For a longer trip Id refrain - breaks dont work well, some seats are not adjustable, speed switch is semi working etc.Bungalows are nice and spacious. Keep in mind, there is no AC as resort positions itself as eco-friendly, with 2 fans - a ceiling fan & a floor one. For Nov-Feb - its perfect, over night it cools down enough to use a thin blanket provided. Not sure how its like in April-May, hottest months in Cambodia. Its very commendable that resort tries to use as little plastic as possible - drinking water is provided in glass bottles that could be refilled in the restaurant.Would be great if they did not use melamine bowls in the restaurant serving hot dishes - ceramic bowls would be just fine; replacing plastic electric kettle in the bungalow with a stainless steel one and not using strong softener on bed linen would also be a better way to be health conscious and environment friendly.Keep in mind there is no safe in the bungalow. If you manage to wake up early enough you could enjoy marvelous view of the sunrise over Mekong river.Would recommend this place with pleasure.
A resort mostly build with bamboo and it look amazing. From Hanchey hill we can see a nice view angle of Mekong river with fresh air and enjoy nice food here at the bamboo Resturant. People who not stay here will require to pay 5$/person as the ticket and be able to transfer this amount 5$ for food purchasing.
Visit during pandemicThe resort is even more peaceful.Friendly staffs, good for moneyA wonderful talk with General Manager of the resort. For Responsible travelersGood for refreshing, observing and soul-healing holiday 🙂
Very professional and kind staff. Warm welcome. Very beautiful and clean place.
Beautiful place to visit and stay
expensive accomadation & expensive food .A new age ,fluffy duffy place for lightweight tourists with too much $$$$ in there budget but not enough balls to "rough it "at a local Khmer guesthouse .
Beautiful and peaceful place in the middle of nowhere. The entrance to the resort is 5$ per person and if you order at the restaurant its reduced from the total amount. Very nice and welcoming staff, taking care of whatever you need. The food was tasty (tried fish Amok and Vietnamese soupand the coffee was great. There are high class bungalows and a beautiful piano shaped pool. Highly recommend!
I just love this place and the idea that everything is made out of bamboo. We stayed there the second time and really enjoyed the quietness and greenery. Great to see that they are also still developing more such as a meeting room even though business is very tough during Covid-19. They offer daily yoga classes for free in their stunning yoga sala. Really enjoyed it. The taste of the food is absolutely amazing and one of the best we ever had in Cambodia. The staff is friendly. Unfortunately we had quite a big leakage in the bathroom which made it not so comfortable in the night during the rainy season. Also missing a little personal touch from the management. Other than that we highly recommend this place.
Hanchey Bamboo Resort is one of the best resorts we have ever visited in Cambodia so far. A peaceful place with amazing view of mekong river and a good place for chillax/perfect getaway from Phnom Penh (just about 3 hours drive from the city). The resort provides free yoga class (currently closed due to covid-19and bike for you to roam around
Love it. Back to nature. Especially the meditation hall, up the hill overseeing the fieds and villages. If you like very comfy room, it does not have aircon.
Very good place to find peace and not top far from the city. However... tey ot yourself
Very quiet resort overlooking the Mekong River, well worth a visit if planning to stay in Kampong Cham
Very good place fresh air to relax
It was nice to relax and spend time doing yoga. The huts are so nice and we had amazing few nights of sleep where all you hear is birds and geckos. We also went on an evening with sunset party on one of the islands. It was great. But the “forced” activities shouldn’t be forced on people. Let people do what they want. The food could be better. It’s not very vegan/vegetarian friendly. And even one night we had to send back some food as it wasn’t up to what was on the menu. Also, as it’s the only place you can eat in the area. It’s too expensive for what it is. If the food was more varied then I wouldn’t mind paying the money. But overall it’s definitely a place worth traveling to despite it being slightly off the traditional rout.
Nice place to visit - calm & relaxing atmosphere, very nice & friendly staff and nice yoga lessons available for all the guests. The meals are a bit overpriced, but quality is nice.
Unique and comfortable with the exception of the dorms, which can be a little crowded.
This is very nice place for meditation, relax with natural bangalow and enjoy delicious food and meet friendly staffs.
Very nice and peaceful place to stay. The calm there is stunning and really restful. The amenities are clean and pleasant (pool, bar, restaurant). The food is also good. All the staff is very kind and considerate. The only minus that I would note is the distance (45 minutes from Kompong Cham on tuk tuk). But the ride is worth it and once youre aware of that everything is neat.
The resort is very beautiful and peaceful. The view over the Mekong river is amazing. The staff is very good, always trying their very best to meet all possible needs. It feels home right away :)Definitely worth a stay !
Wonderful and relaxing place with nature and views of the countryside.
Nice view, but near each bungalow need a lot trees around its .
So youre literally on top of the mountain surrounded by river and nature. I went there in September and drizzle visited all day long making it twice relaxing for me. Room is clean. Food taste good. If u go for breakfast, I recommend u tried their mint lemon juice and Khmer noodle soup. The best! Love it!!And the staff is just wow😍 they are very well trained and professional, not to mention that they are so friendly and beautiful.
Awesome to be here, It is a nice resort with peaceful mind. There is good coffee.
Amazing view and nice people. Yoga lesson inclusive. Nice people. Would like to have breakfast included for 50$. ;)
super nice atmosphere with great concept about environment care and social enterprise.
