Hampton Inn Huntington University Area in Meads

I was on a solo motorcycle trip and stayed here in November of 2022. The hotel is nice, its clean, its well maintained. The parking lot is in good shape. Breakfast was good. The only drawback is that the construction was probably pretty cheap, so soundproofing was not a major consideration. If you can get away from other people you can mitigate the sound travel through the room walls. Well the hotel is near the highway, you dont pick up the road noise. There isnt much in the way of food within walking distance other than a breakfast place. If youre in a car then youre probably in good shape.

Very friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. My room, the building and grounds were extremely neat and clean. This was a great experience! I will definitely be back and strongly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Huntington area.

Hampton Inn Huntington, WV is the quietest hotel I have ever been in! Booking and checking in online was easy and convenient. At the hotel, the person who was working at 9:30p on October 8th (so sorry I didn’t get a namewas kind, informative, respectful, and patient! Room was clean and well appointed right down to the nightlight in the bathroom. Beds were firm, but comfortable. If we pass through Huntington West Virginia again, this is where we will stay!

Me and the team booked a jacuzzi suite for three days and shot a music video for the song Body Swole ft Laedi Jayne and it was beautiful… the room was immaculate, the bed and dressings were plush and completely comfortable. The view from our window was gorgeous. Housekeeping was beautiful and did a great job

Comparing to the Hampton Inns we stayed in other states, the differences started to show when approaching the front desk. The young lady at the front desk was cold faced. The instructions and introduction were given like a student recited a text in the classroom. However the staff for checkout was very nice and professional.No USB ports in the room, nothing in the shower to place or hold soap or shampoo. For breakfast, the hotel has cranberries and dry fruits in different places, and meat would be refilled, but in a small portion, that guests need to be patient.

Wonderful service from all employees. The walls are really thin and I could hear someone snoring all night in the neighboring room. There appeared to be water damage on the wall coming from the ceiling. The halls had a damp/ musty smell. This is consistent with the other Hampton Inn I stayed at in Chicopee. I dont think Ill be trying my luck again. There are much cleaner and nicer hotel chains in the same price range.

Our group stayed there as part of a soccer tournament. The hotel was clean, breakfast was good, and staff were very accommodating to our group. Also, we loved the food in Huntington near the Marshall college football stadium.

Rooms are clean and staff is great, but the walls are ridiculously thin. If you want a good nights sleep, make sure the hotel is empty or bring ear plugs. You can clearly hear the people talking or watching TV on both sides of the room. Plus, if anyone is even walking in the room above you, youll hear the thumps. You can even hear people talking in the room above you through the vent in the bathroom. Ive never been at a hotel with so little noise barriers.Staff couldnt move us, but Im not sure that would have mattered. Were here for several more nights and hopefully the place empties out to where we can actually have a quiet room. Its like surround sound, and these people arent being loud or obnoxious, theyre just talking normally. We hear everything. Not good.
