Hammond Park in Kalgoorlie

This is the most comfortable park and pretty complete in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder area. Just minus the flying fox hahaThis park has an ancient mosque symbol in the middle of the park and also they have some unique animals around on the side that are living freedom. Just some still in the cage cos they are sick and need extra care from the workers. But this park is beautiful. It just needs a lil bit of extra care for some areas such as the pool and cafe that never open lolBBQ stuff and toilets are good enoughPlayground for kids at the back also big enoughSo far this park is well maintained ♡

Pleasantly surprised by the beautiful lush gardens. Plenty of playgrounds for the kids. Aviaries with parrots. Huge gazebo and even a cafe! Well worth the visit.

Excellent park for the kids to play in. The peacocks all roam free. The bird enclosures are of great interest with a wide variety of native and non-native birds. The playground is a good size too that will entertain the kids for hours. There is a cafe, covered barbeque areas and plenty of seating to watch the kids play. Parking is generous and right at the front gate to the park. This is definitely a must if you have young children.

Love visiting this park so much! Beautifully kept and so neat and tidy. Lots of things to do, and had a great snack from the coffee shop. A MUST visit!

Married there in 1985 but now so green well cared for and peaceful. Loved visiting again.

Well maintained and sweet spot to take a stroll and look at some peacocks and other bird life. A fun place to explore with the kids. It was closed the day we went but we could still look around. Usually they have a little cafe/kiosk.

Stunning! Woew wow wow! Im born and raised in Kal and spent a lot of my childhood here. The difference between then and now is jaw dropping. Absolutely beautiful! 5 stars for the gardeners and the effort, hard work and attention to detail they put into this place!

Free park, easy parking, toilets , plenty of space, rest, relax, see birds, the magnificent bavarian castle model. Whats not to love?

A beautiful place to spend time with friends and family. Do not feed the birds whilst you are doing picnic or bbq. Do not disturb them. I ve seen ppl running after peacock to get the feather. Its their place we need to respect their privacy and let them be free. Enjoy the calm and beautiful nature of the park.

Went to visit Hammond Park today in Kalgoorlie, enjoyed a nice stroll there, weather was lovely, the park is clean, playground equipment all clean and all under a cover, gas BBQ available, clean toilets, there are beautiful birds to see and kangaroos, the staff at the Plum Cafe were very welcoming, fast and delivered great service. Kalgoorlie you are a beautiful town....looking forward to exploring more 😊

Quirky council run gated Park. Well manicured with secure playground for kids to run around in. Shaded eating areas and barbecues provided. An array of various birds in large enclosures and emus and kangaroos wandering around with a large flock of peacock who are completely at home strolling around

An unexpected green oasis with lovely wildlife, lots of grassed area for the kids to play, plus a large playground and covered BBQ areas. Even has a little kiosk open in peak times.

The place needs all the recognitions, Very well kept and flourising with Fauna & Flora. Free roaming peacocks, a beautiful lake with ducks, chickens, birds, Emus & etc....A Cuckatoo the sings and laughes like a villian.....and will dance when you say "Dance Cocky Dance"...My kids enjoyed....a huge playground...Well done Shire......Rangers..Keep up the job in maintaing the place. A must go.

Beautifully landscaped family friendly park with heaps of great kids play equipment. The aviaries and roaming peacocks are lovely and the coffee shop is great too.

This is a really nice park especially if you have kids - theres a great play area and there are peacocks and ducks running around - there are birds in good cages which look well looked after. Theres a cafe and little bridges and lakes to walk over, bbq and seating. Excellent.

Great place for a picnic, let the kids run around and get a look at some caged birds. This park also has an on-site cafe. Take up one of the picnic tables, benches or bring a rug and sit on the grass.Plenty of parking out the front.

Wow what a lovely park. Really enjoyed the gardens and averies

Its a good spot for picnic if you are staying in Kalgoorlie. There is a playground, a few peacocks wandering around the park, picnic tables and a BBQ stove. The aviary area might need to get some upgrading a bit and the fences around the emu is still in construction so we can only peek from a far.

Amazing. Went in the evening at sunset, then back again to catch our horse drawn cart tour. We spoke to the animal keeper about the peacocks, duck and chickens. The lady is a saint (Sorry, I cant recall your name).You have to take the time out to visit this place, let the kids play, have a cuppa if the cafe is open, sizzle a sausage and relax.

Great family park for parties ,saw bbqs and these a cafe onsite..lush green grass with a bit of shade .massive shaded play ground for the kids to have fun theres a little pond with duck and the odd fake crocodile ..real great place for a family picnic

Best family park, weve spent hours here passing through town on our travels around Aus. Our 2 boys love it. Great cafe, lots of grass and tables for picnics. Gorgeous avery & peacocks roaming around freely everywhere. So lovely to see a peacock displaying its beautiful feathers for us today 💖

Lovely well kept park with roaming peacocks plus aviaries with native birds. Tea and scones at the cafe. Emus, kangaroos and ducks. Shuts at 5pm.Well worth a visit when in Kalgoorlie.

Six free roaming peacocks, Aussie birds in cages and fantastic cafe with lots of seating, childrens play area. Sadly pond under repair, so looking forward to seeing it when up and running again.

Was visiting Kalgoorlie and friend brought us here to get the kids play in the park. Clean and well maintained park with huge playground area. Lots of birds in the park. Even saw group of emus walking outside the fence. Beautiful free roaming peacocks too!

Really loved it! One of my favorite places i visited in Kalgoorlie ! Really pretty 😍 had some good memories there ! Would definitely go there often if I go back to Kalgoorlie 🔥 love that there are even peacocks in there! Not to mention Australias native animals as well 👍💜

Best park weve taken the kids to in ages! Massive playground and love the animals. Enclosures are kept super clean and my favourite was the friendly white rooster that enjoyed a scratch on the head whilst making cute happy chook noises

Great green park to chill out in.Free BBQs popular with Kal residents so BBQ area can be booked out weekends.Some interesting caged birds too.Marvel at the peacocks.
