Long white-sand beach featuring an arched bridge, a lighthouse & shower facilities.
A beautiful, scenic, and relaxing beach on Jeju Island!Hamdeok Beach is a sandy beach with many cafes and restaurants just within walking distance. One of the popular cafes just right by the beach is Cafe Delmondo. This particular cafe serves nice pastries, coffee, and drinks. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful view of the sea from this cafe.Highly recommended to visit this beach and taking a stroll along the beach itself is rewarding. The blue water and clean beach are perfect for a family outing!
Nice ans beautiful beach
It feels like paradise. The sand is soft and bright white. There is a campsite, free toilet and shower. Here you can take beautiful holiday pictures.
A wonderful lazy beach with local charm and good water with a cool vibe. Great to avoid the crowds.
Very beautiful beach, clear water and a nice mountain beside it to hike.
Perfect sunset place
Waves, tides, and the number of people are too high. Still really beautiful though.
Beautiful even during the cold months, though too cold to swim, of course.
Surfers dream spot, waves were great, and you can also hike up the hill to see the surroundings of the beach For more tips: @kasiawhotravels
beautiful beach 🏝 color of the sea is amazing its clear enough to see everything
💕💕Jeju -- the famous beautiful island of KoreaContrary to the Seoul rhythm, examining people and vehicles, high-rise buildings closely, Jeju settles and settles topics, evaluating suitable for the title of "peaceful island" of a civilian life. Lovely place and the ocean is so blue and amazing 👏🏻
One of the nearest beaches from the Jeju airport. The transparent, emerald-color water meets the basalt land beautifully.
A really lovely beach in Jeju. The water is clean and clear enough. Its a nice turquoise blue. It can get crowded but it didnt feel overrun. During low tide the water does get really low and you can walk out quite far into the sea. Also during low tide other beaches are formed that would disappear during high tide.
Beautiful beach with an abundance of souvenir shops, restaurants, and cafes to fully enjoy a warm sunny day.
Very beautiful place with nice Hiking trails also. Too bad I was here when it was raining.
This is my first beach that I visited when I reached Jeju, very very very nice, beautiful and clean beach. I walked for a longgggg time here to enjoy the weather, such a breeze. Im traveling alone with my rented scooter so its really fun watching local and others activities! I wish to come again to Jeju and cycling around. One week is not enough for me to explore Jeju
Night view of this beach is very amazing...
This is really 3 beaches in one. Two looked good for surfing and the one is great for kids and walking about. The water was warmer as the sandbars trapped it in shallower pools. Flanked by the mountain it also makes for a dramatic feel to the place. There was a lot of garbage on the one beach which was sad, but for the most part the beaches were clean. There is a watersports rental place as well as many restaurants and shops in the area. There is also a board walk that isnt super long but you can walk along it. Also if you are looking to park on the peninsula that separates two of the beaches good luck. Its a one road in/out situation, as well as people walking on it, and there is no light to direct traffic. I had a snack at the Starbucks at that corner and watched the chaos for a bit. It didnt look fun, but luckily no one was hurt.
best beach in Jeju Island especially for kids.
This is an amazing beach. Best beach Ive been to on Jeju so far. Great for families. Good restaurants.
Not a lot of people in June. Convenience stores nearby for beer and beach snacks and some Korean restaurants as well as a burger place. This area is pretty quiet at night, so if you are looking for a night beach vibe like southeast asia this is not it. But it is good for relaxing. Water is clear and sand is clean. Can get some big chuncks of seaweed at times but not trash or dirt.
The beach is mostly for viewing, there is mostly small cliffs surrounding the sanded area where you can lounge. The actual swimming area is small and the sanded area cannot support many people so I suggest early June if your visiting this beach in Jeju.
There is a trail at the end of the beach where you can stroll around for nice walk, with sea and town view.
Peaceful beach town on the Northeastern side of the island. Nice beach area. The majority of restaurants are on the main street, not on the street in front of the beach.
I love this place. Its definitely a good place to visit in summer, but not quite a good idea to come here in winter. Its frezzing cold😁😁
Always a favorite beach. It has gotten vastly more touristy over the years, which I dont like. But hard to resist those perfect blue waters and all the great stores and restaurants around.
Really nice to chill and walk around, the bakery there offers superb stuff and slef roasted coffee, check it out
The lightest colored beach I can remember just before typhoon MItak. Would be turquoise if the forecast hadn’t been so cloudy. There’s a huge homey cafe right on the beach with lounge chairs. Go visit if you can (Delmoondo is the name)
Very accessible by public transportation and quite adjacent to the city.
Fantastic beach just East of Jeju City. We saw HyeopJae and Gumnung beaches on this trip as well, but Hamdeok was by far the nicest. Low tide is excellent for little ones because there is a huge amount of sandy play space. Other beaches just get rocky. The local area around Hamdeok also has more, and nicer restaurants in my opinion. Coffee shops abound, and there are a couple local marts nearby if you prefer to cook in your pension/hotel.
Nice beach for family vacation. Can go for swimming/watersports/hiking/cafehopping.
May be the best beach on Jeju. Subtropical beach with lots of food nearby. There are 3 main beaches and more water access points. At the main beach, the water is clear in the morning and clouds up throughout the day; the water is watched by half a dozen life guards on the main beach in the middle. You can rent a beach umbrella spot for around $30,000 so you can spend all day at the beach without burning. Rentals are available for various watersports, but they are expensive, like $50,000 an hour for a kayak. Around the beach are many restaurants, focused on black pork or seafood.
Great view and best family outing there
The only place with always dry beach is near Cafe Del Mondo. However, from about 10 AM till around 6 PM the sea water is lower so along the beach will show sand and people can play there. Got water sports rental too, such as jet ski, paddle& canoe. Along the beach has hotels and restaurants. Nice place.
So beautiful place with blue sea water. The thing about Hamdeok Beach is that if you arrive in the evening, you’re likely to think that there isn’t much of a beach.. or beaches in the area but that’s because the tide has come in and covered it up on the western end.Hamdeok has three small beaches that don’t get taken over by the tide in the evening and the two to the east are the most popular by far. If you come in on that end of Hamdeok, you’re likely to think it’s too busy and want to leave during high season. I’d tell you to keep walking west and you’ll like what you see though. If you want your own space, go as far west as you can. That’s just what we did and it was spectacular.
It was such a great idea for us to stay near this beach. It’s not overly crowded. Blue clear waters. Nice scenery to take pictures. So many restaurants nearby too.
A beautiful place ever.Silky sand and twinkling sunny made this lovely view.Keep calm and drink cups of coffee.
The beach looks well maintain and large enough for many people during the summer. I was here during the winter, it was cold and windy. However, some lovely views and enjoying the waves. Nearby is a restaurant to warm up and get some delicious sweets. Should come back in the summer.
Nice and clean beach, suitable for family or couples. The beach has different parts, so make sure to cater more time to walk around and photo taking.
I think it is one of the most beautiful beach in South Korea. There are famous cafe ans local restaurant.
Go at sunset. The tides are low so you can go further out and the sunset is something you should consider watching while you’re there. There’s also a place where you can sleep if you bring your tent. Maybe wake up to a great sunrise? That’s next on my list!
An amazing beach. Bazalt stones, yellow-whiye sand, green landscape and a clear blue water. An amazing beach with several restaurants at its back.
Beautiful white sand beach. Very popular with locals and has places to eat and drink. Theres a nice park near the beach for a nice walk or picnic
Nice beach!Especially for a family including young children!Clean water and white sand.
My opinion, its not a very special beach. For people who like typical sand beach an chilling all day it must be great.+ Clean Water / nice colour+ Surrounded by Shops and Bars / Cafes+ Safe (especially good for children)- water is not deep at all (70cm at 100m beach distance maybe)
Very nice beach and there is a road for walking... look at my photos
A really nice beach to spend the day, it can be crowded though. When facing the sea head right and youll arrive at another part of the beach seperated by some land, here it was quiet and thankfull lacked any of the noisey families.
Lovely and majestic beach that is not far off from Jeju city and an easy drive. The beach has a long platform that extends out to the sea and you could feel yourself right on the sea
If you havent visited the Hamdeok beach during the summer just forget that you visited Jeju. Nice, shallow beach with lot of coffe shops and restaurants surrounded. Very clean and if one beach is crowded theres another one close by. Washrooms, showers and camping facilities are available.
