Hall's Farm Stall - Coffee shop in Nelspruit, South Africa
Nothing to add. So very disappointed. Cant rate service because it was non-existent. Coffee Bar was ok but not worth 2 stars. Had to ask for sweetener and then for spoon. Only sweet things in fridges in the stall - no freshly baked pies. When asked for plastic spoon to eat lemon meringue, we were told there arent any. In the end I took a muffin which I could eat whilst travelling. Was always a pleasure to visit the stall. Not today though.
A huge variety of products but very pricey. A little cafe inside the shop provides cake and beverages. Nursery stocks a good selection of plants
Seems a bit empty and produce is not the cheapest.
Incorrect meal was served, and it was served cold service was not good. Have been several times before and the meals and service used to be great.
I often drive to Halls Farm Stall to buy a pastry or cake & sometimes their fresh very tasty bread rolls.
Badly run, waited ages for a simple dish. Will never stop there again.
Quality food 😋, great portion sizes , one of my favourite places in Mp
Portions are really small for the price of it and service was very slow
A must visit. Meals are tasty. Fresh bread to buy. Nuts available and good selection home preserves. Outside seating next to the nursery peaceful. Knick knacks for sale.
Halls Farm stall - around for years alreadyGreat to visit again after a long timeI always like the farm stall feel with goodies to buy, taste and browseThe Farm restaurant was inviting with wifi available and a place I could work on my laptop-I had a Peanut Butter Late as a "snack"- decadent treat!
Still the best coffee in town. Lovely stocked Farmstall with all kind of goodies. Freshly baked bread. A must stop
Friendly service in a homely atmosphere. Excellent food!
Awesome food and vibes
Loved it! Very nice place. Good food!
Delicious food, breakfast, brunch, lunch! Always nice with the parents. The gardens do calm the spirit.
The ambience is good, old fashioned but warm. Good service and good food. Their cakes are delicious. I loved their furnisher and deco, the gramophone took me back when my late father used to play Kings messagers quartert records. The nursery is so beautiful, my kind of vibe! I enjoyed every moment. Thanks to my family that I was visiting in Nelspruit.
The food was out of this world. Could not even finish. The time of having breakfast in the morning it was quiet in the area.
I remember this store as being filled with so much more. I was a bit disappointed to be honest. It didnt help that the staff were not helpful either. I asked questions about some of the jams, and no one could assist. Bought a few bits and pieces, but not a store Ill choose to go to again
Food and service always tops.. even when they are busy you still get your food and service in due time.. congrats guys and girls good work keep it up. We need a good restaurant..
Sorry to to say we passed by on our way home from holiday what a disappointed place..there was nothing no fruit ect and the pricing is unbeatable can by all the fruits in Pretoria much cheaper and they are supposed to be the fruit basket of the contry.
Nice coffee shop, good range of farm products. Pity the early season Fuerte avocados sold here develop fungal diseases before they sort of ripen. Would not have expected Halls to harvest too early.
I was slightly disappointed by the quality of the food served in the coffee shop. None of the people in our group was happy. The service was good, not the food. The adjacent nursery stock extremely high quality plants and knowledgeable staff is friendly and helpful. The gift shop has a good variety of products to take home etc.Clean toilets and ample safe parking under shade.
Been going here for close to 30 years. Wide variety of interesting snacks. Very cool coffee shop. Safe
Get all your fresh food from this place.Pizza, cake, scones, jam etcMy favorite is their freshly baked carrot cake 🎂A full dine-in restaurant.
Great food for a sunday breakfast ... relaxed vibe looking into the nursery of plants 🪴 but be prepared for slower service. Dont go for a quick meal, have some time on your hands
Was let down by the variety available.Used to stop there all the time as a youngster when leaving Nelspruit for snacks and fruit, but this time we just left without buying anything. No fresh fruit on sale.Didnt see the juice on the shelves. No assistance while we were in the store.Walked right past the cashiers and I dont recall even being greeted.Probably the last time we stop there. The only interaction we had was from the African Grey parrot.. the only reason Im giving any stars.
The dried fruit selection was amazing. Still my favourite stop to and from Kruger. And the restaurant is excellent and beautiful too - and excellent service. Loved sitting out in the beautiful nursery! Its not too far off the main road, so do yourselves a favour those travelling to Kruger and stop off there!
Very interesting and well decorated place. Huge variety on the menu. We had curry and rice, and quiche with salad. It took a while to come, but the food is freshly prepared and very tasty. Friendly staff
Sadly what was once a must stop at venue outside Nelspruit on your way back from the lowveld has become a very badly maintained 2nd grade farmstall. We decided to try the coffee shop and that was even worse. Bad service and even worse cake with our coffee. Not recommended 😕
So cute and delicious food. Very family friendly including a playground for kids. Beautiful atmosphere being surrounded by plants.
It a good place to set up a stal on Sundays. Go and make a turn at Monicas stall for the best pancakes, samosas and chilly bites (all homemadeyou have ever tasted. New on the menu homemade jam donuts
Great coffee, milk tart and fresh scones! The atmosphere is very good. Unfortunately the service was slow, it might have been due to the long weekend traffic.
Delicious baked cheesecake...and for the serious sweet tooth it comes on a waffle too!!
The food here is always good. The trout spud is simply delicious and the curry was divine.Be prepared to wait a few minutes, good food takes time. While you wait, enjoy the shop and the nursery - theres always something beautiful to appreciate.
We had delicious homemade Pie, gravy and chips with coffee after doing a trail run. The food was great and the atmosphere was relaxing.
Super wide variety of things to eat and drink - we saw some amazing milkshakes being brought out but after our meal we were too full to order one to taste. The chips were under cooked but the nachos were delicious :there is a market outside with cute goodies to buy and a gift shop inside with craft gin that was really well priced. Other gifts like homemade jams and sauces as well as dried fruits and sweets.
What happened to the owners precence, making sure every meal as well as the service is great. That is what made this place so popular. This morning was just the opposite, waiting forever for drinks, dirty cup & utensils, and after almost an hour the food showed up cold and totally tasteless. Wont see me again.
We ordered Nachos with beef and cheese. The beef was definitely boiled with kidneys. This place is so nice to sit down and relax with the plants and birds in the premises outside. But for someone who do not eat these type of meats like kidneys, it is quite disgusting to taste it in the beef. Bland, non salted pieces of steak with a kidney taste.
The Fever tree Garden (nurseryis a place to enjoy with for a family. Kids are also loving the playing area.
The smell of Freshly baked goods and Coffee when you walk in. Excellent layout and array of Goods. The prices on the locally made Goods are a tad bit pricey for the locals, however prices on daily fresh bread and other baked goods very reasonable and the quality is excellent. The recipe on the chicken pie needs adjustment, although its filled with chicken it has a heavy lemony taste.
The food was great and there is a lot of variety of plants. The birds chirping and the quiet was so restful.
Illy coffee, food excellent. Beautiful environment
Best service. Our waiter was Lerenzo and he is super. For womans day, all woman got this drink.
A lovely little place! The Farm Stall is massive, mainly focused on selling local crafts and packaged foods, sauces, sweets, and snacks, not fresh fruit and veggies. The coffee shop is a cosy little spot, with great period decor and friendly staff. The food is tasty, though not particularly well presented.A great stop and worth your time. The nursery next door is just as great.A real gem. If you’re heading to Kruger National Park, make this a stop on the way.
Delicious food in a beautiful setting, love to sit outside. A great place for a sunday brunch.
We are regular customers after we discovered what nice breakfast, they served at The Farm Stall. The breakfast with the chicken livers are to die for or order the half and half breakfast. It is chicken livers on toast and mince on toast combination. It is very value for money and very tasty. The setting in the nursery is so refreshing and one of the very few places in Nelspruit that really takes advantage of our beautiful scenery and climate. Coffee quality is always a determining factor for a restaurant and The Farm Stall delivers big time. Not only breakfast but an added bonus is the absolutely divine bite of chocolate cake they serve. The food and setting combined made for a really memorable morning! We regularly return for breakfast and the quality remains of high quality as always. With regards to service, I understand and appreciate that you prepare everything from scratch and the food therefore takes slightly longer. So, don’t go for a quick bite but sit back relax and enjoy the scenery. When you are done you will feel you have been on an outing and will be ready to take on the world. If you have not been to Halls, make an effort and you won’t be sorry
A warm welcome set in Oumas kitchen as you enjoy true South African farm style cooking. Our waiter Lorenzo...great service and attentive to our needs. Food....EXCELLENT value for money and exploding with flavour...Yummy! We will be back.
Good place to chill n eat they make fresh food...good milk shakes Virgin o alcoholic...
They have excellent food and a very pretty garden. They also have products that you wont necessarily get at you local grocery store. They have a lovely peacful atmosphere and there milkshakes are the best in town.
A gorgeous nursery with a beautiful tea garden and farm stall shop. Highly recommend 🙌🏼
