Chill hangout serving pub fare, beer & full bar in a relaxed setting with outdoor bocce ball courts.
This place is incredible and super inexpensive. The calzone is to die for :-We went here for a meet up with friends we hadnt seen in a while. The owner was really happy to see us and stopped at the table to greet us. Very nice touch!
Great food great service. The only had 2 servers and they handled it with Grace. Wouldn’t of know if we hadn’t asked. Awesome job!!
Tuesday $6 sub day. Best Italian subs. Outside seating in front nice
Monday specials included our favorite, the Stromboli. He stuck with the wedding soup, always delicious and I tried the spring salad, fresh and tasty. As we ate we realized we have been eating at Hales several times a month for 8 years and have always enjoyed great service and food. You just cant miss with their soups, Flatbread and sandwiches. The beer list is great, too. Weve tied lots of different brews over the years.
Always a great option for happy hour or a casual hangout with the neighbors of the community. Plenty of TVs for YOUR sporting channel of choice. Friendly staff and a kitchen that prides themselves on pub fare food and scratch-made soups. Check it out if you havent already done so!As of 9/6/22, hours of operation arent accurate. If midnight is the posted closing time, closing at 930pm isnt the best way of conducting business.
Very good friendly service every time I go here. This place is very clean and the food is always good. Ive had the Italian sub, meatballs, boneless chicken wings...all delicious. Beers are always ice cold, good Tv selections, and Keno. Just a really nice place with friendly people.
It was a nice establishment, the food was great and the service was excellent.
Great service, amazing food and reasonable prices!!
The service was responsive and pretty quick. The price is seem fair. Atmosphere was nice but a little quiet for a Friday.
First time to this bar. They was very short staff but they did hold down their fort with running back and forth on orders and etc. The food is okay.
Great ambiance, amazing beer selection and the stromboli!!
Pretty big bar. Delicious food. Huge outside dining area.
This place is awesome. The barbacks are the best and who has barbacks anymore. The food is really good and a good crowd. Highly recommend.
The wife and I needed to go to Lowes to pick up a few items. We thought we would enjoy a nice dinner on the patio of Hales Ale & Kitchen in the process. It was convenient for us because this restaurant is located right next door. We are not "regulars" at the restaurant but have eaten there before. In the past we enjoyed the stromboli and it was a pleasant experience for us. Today as we entered the bar, we noticed a sign on the door stating that the service may be slow due to the pandemic. We understood that as we took a seat on the patio. Our server, a younger, tall, dark haired young man greeted us with a stern look on his face. As we were sitting comfortably in our seats, he asked us what we wanted to drink. We both said, "water please" . He snatched up the craft beer menu and walked away. In the meantime another older couple, like ourselves, sat down at the table next to us. He (our servergreeted these folks with a big smile and asked them how they were doing and it was good to see them again. Obviously they were regulars or folks who eat there often. Our servers personality clearly was much more upbeat and friendly toward these folks. When our food arrived, the gal dropped off our food and immediately asked these folks next to us how they were doing and it was good to see them again, just like our server did. Our server filled up my water glass and said "youre welcome!" in a very condescending tone, before I had the chance to say thank you. He did it again when he brought the check out to me. I paid the bill and left him a tip. Im not sure why, because he clearly did not earn it. Also, I left him a note saying, "Be more friendly". As I left the restaurant the server stated to me "That was unnecessary". I said hey Im just trying to help you out. Try being more nice to ALL your customers. I also stated to him that I will NEVER come back. He said, "Good".
Great place to eat and drink. Still has great prices and specials. Amazing thin fries like McDonalds. Also like the burgers and oddly enough, the potstickers are great! Fingers and fries are a good bargain.
I always really enjoy visiting this restaurant. Its one of my familys favorite places to get together, with delicious beer cheese, and several really unique and excellent sandwiches. The staff is very friendly, and the restaurant itself offers many sports bar style amenities to keep you entertained with a completely different experience every visit if you did so choose. The patio is incredible, a definite must in summer time, although unfortunately it is enclosed at this time (presumably due to infrequent inclement weather).
Wed. April 27, 2022Called at 5:45 pm and wanted to place a order for pickup at 6:45 pm. Was told I needed to call back between 6:15-6:30 pm to place the order. Called back at 6:20 pm and no answer, called again at 6:25 pm again no answer. Called at 6:30 pm they picked up and hung up on me. I would have been a new customer that heard good things about them. Called elsewhere and gave that business my business. Don’t need service like this. Don’t tell me to call back and then not answer and then the one time you did pick up you hung up on me.Very bad customer service.
Rude customer service in the evening. Understand there is short staff but waited over 2 hours for our food and waited 45 minutes for our check, ended up having to ask for it. Gave us the late night menu at 7pm? with little to no options. Used to love this place, but have been very unsatisfied the past three times we have come here.
Beer was cold, bartenders great, food looked delicious, I will have to go back and try it!!!
Great service. Friendly staff. Good selection of draft beers and rotate local craft beers. Food selection is varied and tasty.
Nice place, food was so so. The Italian sandwich didnt have much taste to it. The other three meals my guest with me said the same thing about their meals.
Food is fantastic! The flat bread pizzas are cooked perfectly. The front patio is a very cool touch to the dining experience. The prices on alcohol are hard to beat!
Weve been coming to Hales since theyve opened in 2014. The staff is great, the food is delicious and the beer menu is always changing. The stromboli is our favorite along with the buffalo chicken wrap (add cheese!and I their soups are always incredible! Bocce ball out back is really fun and there are tons of TVs to watch every game!
Just went to eat today Saturday at 7pm.The waitress we had young girl blonde with glasses. Didnt give us silver ware .we ordered 2 soups /grilled chicken salad /wrap..Food came late and I had to get up to get my own silver ware to eat my salad..waitress didnt attended to our table at all.The back door was left open only to believe probably smoking or something we dont know wasnt on the floor..Alot of whispering and smiling and laughing when we brought problems to them.usually a great place to eat thou I definitely wont come after a buckeye game.
The atmosphere was great. The food was outstanding. We tried the pizza, subs, boneless wings and chicken tender basket. The food was prepared and delivered quickly even though the place was super busy. Kudos to the amazing wait staff!!
First time here. The beer selection is decent. The prices for food is very reasonable. I had a stout and a sour while there. Atmosphere of a sports bar with lots of TVs for viewing. There is an outdoor covered area for dining where we sat and it was a very nice area. The food was very good. We shared pretzels and chips for appetizer. The cajon chip sauce very yummy. Then I had the chicken ranch flatbread, very good. Others had a burger, spinach tomato goat cheese flat bread and finally the woody sandwich. All said it was good. Friendly staff made the place even better. Would recommend you try this out.
I’ve called twice in the past 2 weeks. Once on Sunday to get food for an NFL preseason game and they’re kitchen closed at 4pm? And the second time on a Thursday again for yet another NFL game. I called at 9pm to put in a food order and their kitchen had already closed… when the game started at 8:30. If you’re going to close your kitchen put the hours on your Facebook page. You’re losing great business for good food. Such a shame. Do better.
The outdoor patio space is nice and so is the staff. Dollar bucket beers for happy hour is nice! The food was very yummy. Had pot stickers fries wings all were very good.
Not the best. Wilty lettuce soup was not hot.
Food was great, service was good. It was a little warm considering we sat inside. Didnt feel like there was much airflow.Definitely try the Pretzel Reuben! The basket of fries is big enough for 3 or 4 people to share.
The servers are quick, smart, and very friendly. Its a nice family atmosphere and the patio is really neat. The food is great and portions are ginormous. We had potsicker and Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese appetizers. Potstickers were just ok. The beer cheese dip for the pretzels was amazing. For dinner I had the blue cheese wedge salad and it left me wondering where they found a head of lettuce so big! I couldnt finish it all. My husband and two others had a calzone. Again they were huge. Another person had the sub and another had a flatbread pizza. Everyone really enjoyed the food and we all took home leftovers.
This was our first time at Hales. It was even better than expected! Great service. Great drinks. Great food. Great prices. Large servings. We wiill make this a regular spot. We will also suggest it to anyone that asks for a great place to eat!
Good food and beer. They have a covered outdoor patio and Indoor seating as well. They have gluten free pizza and vegetarian options.
I love this bar! The food is amazing, staff is wonderful, and so much thought was put into every little detail of the decor. Ive only had great experience here!
Love Hales! Always a great time and great food. One of my favorite things to do was come every Sunday to watch NFL games for fantasy before COVID. Every bartender is friendly and fun!
Food was very good but wait staff was so attentive and made sure you were helped. Great beer selection. Best part was 6 for 12 domestics before 7 when we asked latter on into our visit. Extra bonus, so COVID compliant, governors grandma would roll in her grave (God bless her soul).
Awesome pizza and all menu items are very reasonable prices. Not a huge menu but they have all the bases covered for bar food.
It was a slow night, yet the staff was personable and welcoming. I showed up at 9:50, they asked if I wanted a food menu, and I asked when their kitchen closed, they said 10. I said “nah, just a drink” they said “are you sure, there are other people ordering food”. I ordered sweet chili wings and a signature wrap, and they were both great!
Friendliest and hard working bar/wait staff. Huge patio with TVs. Awesome backyard games. Best place to watch sports, TVs at every angle, upbeat crowd. Delicious variety of soups by Chef Todd. This place has it going on! Recommend for everyone.
Pretty good pizza, eat while its hot, dont think it does well once its cool. Plenty of draft selection, sometimes good prices on liquor, sometimes not, just ask if there are specials. Pretty noisy most of the time but super casual, indoor and partially outdoor seating. Kids ok until 8pm then it becomes more bar than restaurant, especially on weekends.
A lively atmosphere, friendly service and they have a great menu. Youve got to get their Italian Wedding Soup... It is THE very best soup I have ever tasted. Its homemade and delicious! You will not be disappointed. They also have indoor and outdoor areas, live music on certain nights and a good beer selection!
This is a great place to go for good price beer and pretty good bar food. The place is normally pretty busy but not overwhelming. It is a bar so it can get pretty loud. I normally order beer by the bucket as it is priced nice. The Stromboli is big and have not had a bad one yet. The only complaint would be the restrooms could use a little more TLC.
I did not know that such a cool and authentic place existed in this part of town. Google maps gave some dicey directions. Look, it is forward looking, between Floor&decor and Lowes.
Stopped in for lunch as it is conveniently located in the Lowes shopping plaza. The service was excellent with a very sociable bar keep. The food was served quickly and prepared to perfection. Restroom was clean and tidy. I tried a long island iced which was the special of the day and it was very flavorful without being heavy on alcohol taste. Prices were very reasonable for the area and ambience. Will definitely be visiting again.
Hales Ale & Kitchen is a nice little nondescript bar sitting in the middle of an otherwise busy shopping plaza. Their range of craft beers is impressive, with various size options so you can have try a variety or stick with your favorite. The food options were all good, portion sizes are definitely giant for the price. Most appetizers and basic foods seem to be packaged frozen foods, but that doesnt mean they dont hit the exact spot youre looking for. A basket of fries is only 4 dollars, but it will easily feed 2-3 folks with a few beers on the side. The back patio was my personal favorite spot with bocce ball courts and a nice corn hole area. Definitely worth a visit if youre looking for a comfortable bar with good food and entertainment without breaking the bank.
Food is okay. Looks interesting enough. Service is about 50/50 everytime Ive been.
Great food and service! Large portions. Pizza, Stromboli, meatballs with garlic bread and hot pretzels.
Went in for a bite to eat while Waiting for our car to be serviced. Service was nice. Food was mediocre at best. Nothing exciting or spectacular. Just seemed like boxed food that was quick to prepare no added touches.Pretzels were good, cheese sauce was very thin and without much flavor.Nothing stood out enough to make us want to go again.
The staff here is super friendly and they all gang up to help you. Way above average food, and you must try the Billy Hale Ale IPA. Modern day public house. I recommend it
Very nice craft beer selection, both bottled/canned and draft. The food menu was limited to more pub food, as it was later in the evening, but everything at my table was very good.Take care that the bar section is closed to anyone under 21 after 8:30-9 PM. It wasnt a problem for us, as there was plenty of staying available outside the bar.The server was friendly and knowledgeable, and our orders filled quickly. It was a busy evening, so we were quite happy overall.
