Kottu is better. We bought Dump biriyani which was not good. It was made by normal samba rice instead of basmathi rice. Chicken pieces were cold. However, pot biriyani was good which they gave us previous day. However, this is one of best restaurants in Batticaloa to have rich dinner.

Best place to have meals in batticaloa. One of the oldest and most famous restaurant. The mutton Dum biryani was delicious served in clay pot and prawns and cuttlefish were included. Reasonable pricing too

Even though they have an ugly front yard, they would charge you like 5 stars hotels. Such bad hospitality and food quality and the taste were below average. Prices are extremely high and they would serve you things without asking you and would bill you as well. Never recommend it to anyone. Better go some other places to eat than here

I was expected too much. But biriyani is worse because the rice is not taste as the real biriyani... Its just a yellow rice with green peas. For that their price is too high. Not recommended.

Got a variety of biryani choices. We bought chicken biryani, it was not spicy but tasty. Pretty crowded place and staffs service acceptable. Although some smell floating inside the shop as its very hard to ignore. Overall good but not enough parking on the road as it very narrow.

Its a best place to have different kind of Indian foods. They are very famous for Biriyani items in batticaloa district. Tou can have nasigoreng, Mixed rice, Beef mutton chicken buriyani, Dam buriyani etc..I tasted normal buriyani.. Taste was another level. Price of the food is high. But u can taste that price in ur food. And also i tasted mixed rice sahan. Its capable to eat for 4 persons. It was really taste. And Nasigoreng also so good.If u want to have best buriyani, u want to come here.

It is a marvelous place for variety of Indian and Srilankan Tamil foods. The foods are tasty and gives unforgettable experience. The restaurant located in the center of the town. This restaurant was established long time ago and giving a goos service to the public.

Delicious, well know location on batticaloa for long time business.Spacious chair arrangement.Great customer service.Advance ordering is accepted.Car park is limited.However vehicles can be parked along the road.Koththu,buriyani Noodles, Nasigurong, fried rice, short eats,Somosa, parts curry some other dishes are available.

Hajiyar Buriyani is a big brand in Batticaloa. They are maintaining their quality in their foods for so many years. After long time I went to Hajiyar Hotel. Last time the food is not that much great. Today i ordered Dum Buriyani. It’s really good one. The portion they provide is small for a foodie. If we ask they give extra rice and also curry for free of charge. They gravy they gave for the Buriyani is so tasty and it’s elevate the Buriyani’s taste to the next level. Have to taste other foods also. Normally they have good nasigeorang. Today is a busy day I waited about 10-15 minutes to get a table. Staffs are really helpful and very quick. Recommended.

This is one of the recommended best restaurants in Batticaloa. Vary delicious kottu rice lunch night available here. Dolphin kottu was very tasty. And even the Hajiyar special meal was also very tasty. MaashaAllah stomach will be full after eating. Can spend money here without worrying.

Awesome food! Food is cheaper.Fast moving place. Staff can only communicate in Tamil. Despite that, we were able to get our order somehow. Fresh beef, prawns, fish.We tried different places in Batticoloa but this was the best in my opinion.

When looking for a restaurant in google map it shows a recommended place by many users when we pass baticaloa. We look away our lunch and ate it nearby sea. The speak in tamil to us but they immediately recognize we are not familiar with the language. Then they speak in broken sinhala and asked what we need. Even though it is rush time they got complete understand of our needs by asking many questions then they given us customized lunch as we wanted. Wery helpful frendly people. And prices also very fair. And very delicious foods. Will go again.
