A bit pricey but the art is GREAT!!Local crafts, Wooden, face masks, and lots of Religious articlesstaff is very friendly and helpful
Beautiful things loved it!!
Ive been coming to this for many years when we visit Puerto Rico. It has some of the most beautiful hand carved wood sculptures Ive seen anywhere. There are also beautiful paintings and souvenirs. A must see shop if you visit old San Juan.
Great place to get your handcrafted souvenirs, art, and jewelry. Reasonably priced.
Everything inside is a piece of art. Want to visit again so I can purchase some of the larger canvases. It was a bright spot on my trip.
Pretty pieces ans souvenirs.
Lovely pieces. But staff was rude and profiled. Followed around the store like a common criminal, however when it came to the white folk they had free reign.
Awesome gift shop in Old San Juan. Not the typical souvenir shop that you find throughout the city, but more expensive and higher quality items.
Wonderful items wonderful staff very helpful
Always amazing place!! Unique items. Beautiful goods. Amazing!!!!!! Love it all.
This was honestly one of my favorite stores in the Old San Juan area. I ended up getting almost all my souvenirs from here lol because I kept coming back. I didnt feel pressured to buy anything and the staff was very knowledgeable about the details of each piece.
Had very nice items there
So many beautiful pieces of art and fun things to buy to remember your trip to PR and celebrate Haitian culture!!
The lady at register was very nice and very informative about the restaurant we had just visited.Thank you
Very friendly unique pieces. Reasonably priced.
Beautiful carved statues, hand made crafts, beautiful voconut carvings.
Beautiful gallery. Photos and videos are not allowed. You have to go to fully appreciate it.
Great souvenirs at affordable prices 👌
Fun little shop with u usual as well as typical trinkets
Incredible amount of items from typical tourist knick knacks to unique art from many places.
Beautiful work, a tourist dream. A must see a must visit if you are on the island
Amazing art and really friendly, helpful employees/owners.
Very knowledgeable staff!! Some great art work, there wood work sculptures are amazing!! Stop by!!
Nice items but a bit pricey
Owner was hands on and helpful. Different and unique shopping
Love this place, I missed it the last time I visited due to the blackout from the earthquake! Great place to buy handmade souvenirs!
Great spot with a bit of everything artsy and of puertorician culture saw some great wood carved chests and art pieces. Staff were friendly and attentive!
Staff was friendly. Prices are moderate to expensive but worth whatever your willing to pay. It was a great blend of Haitian to Latin art!!! I really enjoyed meeting Haitian living in Puerto Rico. Wow...the Haitian people are people of resilience!!!!
Great staff with a lot of great souvenirs.
Lots of interesting masks and other art works to see...
Very big selection. Wish there were some more Haitian offerings, given the name.
You have to go to here. Real art made by Haitians and locals. A must see gallery. Found a cross made by a local artist that is beautiful.
I bought some nice souvenirs there. However, I wonder why its called "Haitian Gallery" since most things sold there are engraved with references to Porto Rico which is understandable. However, they have nice crafts and other souvenirs that are worth the little detour.
Very unique collection of Haitian made home decor objects and jewelry. Checkout was VERY slow. One cashier and she personally wraps large objects herself. 5 min to buy one item here with only one person ahead of me. 😢
Great souvenir items for purchase
Everything was extremely expensive... Go further back that street and you will find the exact same products that are half the price if not less!
Haitian Gallery has exceptional woodworking crafts...simply beautiful so worth a walk through
This store has some really awesome wood work pieces. I mean top notch items. Heres the thing, its not Puerto Rico work. They give you pieces to decor to it Caribbean island but its really from their own island in Haiti. Im not discriminating at all because I purchased a very nice cross their for my collection. My wife and I always buy a cross when we go on vacation somewhere new. We saw a few other places but the crosses there didnt give us that wow feeling to want to buy. We also liked the Bulldog piece they had because we have a Bulldog as well. One other thing, these pieces are high in price.
As someone who is half Haitian, his place spoke to my soul. The art and souvenirs are incredible, the A.C. is on full blast and the staff is absolutely delightful.
This store is striking. The displays almost overwhelm the senses when you walk in. The array of items available is noteworthy. I enjoyed just browsing to get a look at the interesting and colorful displays while my wife did more serious shopping. The prices are not bad considering its Old San Juan. Id recommend stopping in if youre in the vicinity. You might just find something you like.
Some of the best priced and most unique souvenirs in Old San Juan, even if its technically Haitian!
Touristy prices of course, but a nice shop with unique things. Make sure not to miss the second floor gallery.
Theres a perfectly nice collection of Haitian art on the 2nd floor, above all the tourist kitsch. But everyone should be aware that they are running a scam operation on the first floor, falsely accusing tourists of breaking items and demanding payment.
Vast selection to choose from.
Good service, the delivery of my painting was fast and packaged well.
Such amazing, intricate and beautiful art for purchase and many souvenir pieces as well. Well worth a stop.
Stay away from this place as about 90% of the stuff they sell comes from other countries like china, peru, guatemala nothing genuinely made "puerto rican artisans". An example is the small surfboards that you give away as souvenirs i picked one up and the price tag which was $25.00 was covering a partiallt removed "made in china" sticker. I made a comment about it to my girlfriend and immediately the older lady with short white hair at the counter got defensive and began hurling insults at me, another store employee also began doing the same. I walked out and another employee followed me again hurling insults. Half a block away there was another humble looking shop selling the same souvenirs and the supposedly "artisan made crafts" at nearly half price or cheaper. The surfboard that was supposedly artisan made was available at this shop for $15 and they did not attempt to hide the "made in china" label and were very upfront about it. They made a great recomendation that if you want true artisan made souvenirs either walk the "paseo de la princesa" just before the "el morro" park or visit the town of "san sebastian" in the center of the island on fridays there you will find awesome souvenirs made by local artisans. Looking through the web ive found many complaints about "the haitian gallery" if i would have known about how rude and combative the staff would be i would not have gone in the first place. Stay away from this place overpriced, fraudulant and low class management and equally if not even lower class employees. Who in their right mind would follow someone half a block hurling insults at a person for stating a simple and obvious truth....
This place is amazing. They take so much care to organize the store in a clean attractive manner and yet they have really good prices on things. I saw a souvenir guitar there for about 8 dollars and saw the exact same one in a smaller shop for 12!!! Their art gallery is also fantastic and refused to let me leave. I cant wait to visit PR again so I can return to the art gallery.
Best location to get wooden artwork in all of Old San Juan!
