Place for children to learn about the farm, with many animals, cow milking, pony rides & more.
Beautiful fun place to bring your children. Our toddler absolutely had the best day
Came here for our anniversary and it was perfect. The animals were so friendly and we got to feed, pat and boop pretty much all of them - even the baaaaaaby ones they keep safely away from overexcited children. Honestly, it was more engaging to come as a date with just each other than it was to bring the kids 😅We also pack-bonded with one of the lambs in the seated area and are now planning how we approach our landlord for permission to adopt it 🤔
Lovely staff and awsome place for young and older
Great place to take the kids for a few hours. They loved the pony rides!!
It’s not a bad way to spend a a bit of time with the family. The disappointing thing though was that our son asked politely if he could pls feed him a lamb, he was told a couple of times that he had to wait a few minutes, and whilst we understand that the party that was on had priority, we had still paid to visit and experience the farm. We then got told to wait 5 minutes for the milk to heat up, and we were happy to wait, however 35 mins later we were still waiting, not once did my son get impatient but by this time he was just so disappointed he wanted to leave
Not sure how the entry prices are justified. $48 for 2 adults and a 1 year old....they charged us for the 1 year old but told us "He is too young to go on any of the rides"- of which they charge an extra $3 - $10 per ride for.Why charge a family with a child who is too young to participate in anything there other than petting a few sheep and cows?Playground and sandpit had no sun shade at all.My Son had a good time looking around at the animals which was nice to give him a good day outside but for what it is worth, I think this was just a one time thing and we probably wont be back.
Our grandchildren loved it. Its been many years since our last visit and there were quite a few extra exhibits eg. Pony rides.
I took my two granddaughters 3 and 6 years old they loved it. It’s a bit pricey but a nice day out for the children
A good place that your little one can see, touch, and learn some animals. Also, some people have a party or function there, which is different. They have regular shows and talk about some animals. It may be interesting for your child. The other good thing that child gets to milk or feed animals. They have recently added a couple of new features like excavator and a small truck for kids to drive. My daughter enjoyed the experience.I found this place a little bit expensive.Theres a carpark with ample spots. So, you shouldnt have any problem parking your car there.
Best morning for our young girls. Super friendly staff and they were allowed to really interact with the animals more than ever before. Highly recommended!!
Expensive entry then they want extra money for tractor ride, pony rides etc etc. Found some of the employees very surly . Our grandson and other children were bottle feeding lambs and the bottles were roughly snatched away when the milk was finished.. Kids need Welles. The two guys supervising the milking with the cow were excellent.
A very shocking experience. Firstly it was definitely overpriced. I went there with my son and I paid over $50.( $35 for an entrance fee for both of us, $10 for a big tractor ride, $3 for a small excavator ride(5 minutes), $3 for a small tractor ride(2 minutesand $5 for a pony ride(2 minutes).Secondly, there were neither a welcoming mood nor a professional attitude in staff. Most of staff there didn’t have smile on their faces, constantly on the phone when they were not busy, one staff even didn’t suppress her yawning at the front counter when I was paying. Staff at the small excavator ride and the small tractor ride had an attitude which was like “ I don’t want to do this job. This is so boring.” and they were reluctant to let my son do those activities. And they were on the phone while kids were doing those activities rather than making a welcome mood or helping them operate those equipments. I felt very miserable and sorry for my son.
Though our 2yo grandchild enjoyed the experience, I thought some of the farm lacked upkeep. Some of the animal enclosures were just ok, but could have done with some improvements. Many areas needed a good clean. Generally I thought that the farm looked tired and has seen better days. The extra activities such as the miniature tractors and pony ride come at an extra cost. The milking of the cow was a bit drawn out, but the kids love the hands on experience. Ostriches were advertised but none sighted.
Loved it but take your wellies and rain coats in winter as VERY muddy! Very slippery in some areas. Paid for rides etc like diggers were very short in duration - too short for kids who take a few minutes to get used to controls. Animals well cared for and overall enjoyed it a lot.
Entry & bag of food each nearly $100 (2 adults & 3 childrenactivities available at additional cost. If you’ve never seen a pig or goat in a muddy paddock then maybe this is for you.
My 3 year old grandson absolutely loved it . Do not forget to take welly boots though.Awesome beautiful views everywhere. The tractor ride was awesome when the cows came up really close to feed and pat them. However to pay $10 was a bit much as 2 people had to ride, an adult with child, $5 each. He loved the excavator play, riding the small tractor round the track and the pony ride, all which cost a further $5 each. After paying $48 to go in for 2 adults and 1 child it all added up Though we didnt stay long because of the weather and could have been there all day so its probably really worth the money paid at the end of the day if you make the most of it. We missed the milking of cows as we didnt realise it was on whilst we were on the tractor, he wouldve liked to see that im sure. The feed for the animals consisted of pellets and carrots cut up. The carrots being moist tears the paper bag so it wouldve been better if in a different type of bag.The coffee at the coffee shop is really a cup of awesome as promised. I had the latte and it was really good.I lost my spectacles and reported it to staff with my number to contact. Within the hour i was called to collect them as they were found. I was very appreciative. Staff were very friendly too.We were in the town Hahndorf at the time so it wasnt far to go back to get my glasses. The town is really worth a good look around whilst that way. We purchased an awesome cuckoo clock. My 3 year old grandson was so excited about the whole day and loved Hahndorf, the hot dog in town, the cuckoo clock and christmas shop and especially the Farm Barn.I wouldve given 5 star if we had spent more time there and really got our moneys worth. It was a bit dear $70 once including rides etc and we were only about an hour and a half there, but cant hold that against it. We will definately go back and spend longer next time and probably a weekend away to have a good look around the town too.In the last few weeks I have been to Adelaide zoo and Monarto safari park as well and this I would choose over them for toddlers.Awesome day.
First experience for us with our two boys.Have a great day at this farm.Boys get to feed the animals with the purchase from their front desk. The guinea pigs .. are so loveable and have a few pats gently.Family friendly.Have places to wash your hands and toilet available. They will have some other shows and activities available on the day. Please refer to their website for more details. If we ever get a chance again. We will definitely visit them again.
Such a great little place. We arrived at the end of the day and were able to help feed some of the smaller animals! It was a really lovely experience and the staff were so lovely and informative
We had our 5 year olds birthday party here. It was a great time, the staff and animals were both amazing. So happy and friendly. We will definitely be making another visit to do all the things we didnt have time for today.
Amazing place spcially for kids with feeding animals and playing with them.
Great for families to visit and spend half a day with animals. You can go right in and pat most of the animals and hand feed many of them. There are talks as well which are great and educational. The toilets could do with a bit of an upgrade but otherwise it was fantastic.
Great place for kids! Enjoyed the pony, tractor rides and the farm show :)
Great experience for the grandchildren, helpful staff and friendly nice BBQ facilities and sheltered
Amazing place for young families. Highly advise purchasing a yearly family pass. Ours has paid for itself many times over!!
This a great place to go for little kids because the farm is not too big but still have enough animals and activities to keep children busy. They have babies animals to hold such as chicks and activities such as pony riding. Expect to play extra for some activities. Plenty of carpark. Friendly staff.
Great to take the kids for a few hours.Only 5 mins from the main street with plenty to eat and drink so make a day of it.
Loved this place!!!!!! The kids had so much fun and so did we. From the baby animals to milking a cow and even giving lambs their bottles. Worth every cent! Wear closed footwear as you walk among the animals. Be careful that the goats dont bite your food packet from the bottom and you loose your pellets. Cheeky things!
Nice place for kids who like farm animals. You can feed the animals, ride a pony, and have a tractor ride. They sell coffee and ice cream but no food
When my older children were small we went here quite a lot of times. We realised last week that my youngest had never been, so we planned a day out.My older two, now 12 and 14 came as well.My daughter fell in love with your chestnut mare and fed her all her food and day and talked to her❤She was disappointed she was too old for a pony ride, i pointed out she was also far too big for the poor pony🤣We all went on the tractor ride. My boys were slightly terrified of the cows🤣 but the rest of us thought they were adorable and so friendly. It was a lovely surprise when the young lad driving the tractor stopped so we could see the cows. He also embarked on a lot of information about the cows as well as answering all the questions we had. He was delightful, friendly and knowledgeable. We also thoroughly enjoyed the milking presentation and my daughter was brave enough to have a go. The boys stayed firmly in their seats😁.Personally i loved seeing all your gorgeous roosters and wish i was able to keep all my boys instead of having to regime them all💔All of your animals were a delight and friendly. Each of my children found an animal to love and my dad and i had a fabulous day.A number of years ago you had a bit of a comedy routine for the milking presentation - Im very very pleased you have moved on from that. The girls who presented it in a serious manner did an amazing job and were also lovely and knowledgeable.I think we will be back again.Thank you.
Great place for a few hours of fun. Kids loved this place! There’s a small shop at the front for ice cream too! There’s plenty animals kids would love. There are animal shows, please check before you go to time it right. Pony ride was the top attraction for my kids :). Tractor ride was quite fun for the parents too!
The kids mostly enjoyed themselves, but overall we were disappointed by the cost to experience ratio. $51 for a family of 4 entry, $3.50 for each bag of animal food and then additional cost for a Tracker ride around an empty paddock or pony ride in a circle.
What a great place to bring your kids. The people are really friendly and the animals too of course. And the cup of Awesome (coffeewas pretty awesome. 😊 I signed up for the membership and it’s great if come for a few hours or even more. My only request is to have some food options for people 😊
I took a group of school kids there today. Its an excellent place for a family outing.Lots to see and do.The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.Theres lots of hand on activities for the kids. Its definitely worth the trip as its not far out of town. The coffee is delicious. You can also buy local honey.
Was such a fun day out with the family!! Kids loved it and so did the adults!!! Staff are so lovely and friendly, will definitely go back!! Next time on a weekend so kids can have a pony ride.
Had a wonderful day with my family. My girls loved feeding and patting all the animals. The staff are wonderful and I cant wait to go back.
What a pleasant surprise this was to find on our Easter drive today. Great range of incredible friendly animals and great range of incredible friendly staff. Family had a great visit. Highly recommended.
Loved the farm and the people! Plenty of things to keep you and your kids busy for the whole day. Entertaining shows and side attractions like pony rides and tractor tours etc all very reasonably priced.
The 2 stars is for my experience. If you are going plan what you want to see with the times given on their site. We didnt do this and headed straight outside. Queued forever for the tractor ride and for the pony ride, in the sun with no shade. After that we realised we had missed the shows and there wasnt much else to do. I wouldnt go again, feel that for the price it wasnt worth it. Very disappointed with our experience.
Awesome place to take the kids to see life on the farm.Love that they can touch all of the animals, feed them and hold baby chicks and peacocks!Pony rides and tractor rides are extra only $5 each per person.
Hahndorf Farm Barn is a very good place for children to know and contact many kinds of animals. There are kangaroos, emu, ostriches, camels, ponies, deer, cows, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, pythons, lizards, donkeys and so on. Children can experience pony and tractor rides, milking, feeding and touching animals etc. There is also a playground. The kids love the animals here. Its a great experience.
Best place for enjoying holidays with family and children. So Lovely animals likeKangarooOstrichPeacockHensPonnyCowsRabbitsHamstersDeerSheepsLambs
Great outdoor for kids, beautiful scenery, full of fun staff to do such as pony rides, cow milking, tractor ride and many more...
Affordable and fun! Lots of baby animals to cuddle in the barn and all the bigger animals to feed outside. A great place to take the little ones, or if you just love animals. Wear some comfy clothes/shoes because it can get a bit muddy.
So much fun, so many cute animals that you are welcome to pat and feed. I am 22 and went with my partner and were welcomed equally as everyone else who had brought their kids. Lovely, wholesome day out
Great for young ones but pricing a little steep for what you actually get at $16.5 per adult and $13.5 per child 1-14yrs, pony and tractor rides only $5 though!
Great place to bring the family & friends. The kids get to see farm animals. It makes for a great day out for all.
A scenic educational place for kids...we thoroughly enjoyed going there. The staff is very friendly and guides you well about the farm animals. One can plan a nice picnic or just visit the farm to get up, close and personal with the animals. My kid loved feeding and petting the animals, pony ride and milking the cow. Next time we surely gona enjoy the tractor ride too. A must visit place for kids.
It was raining when we went but we still had a fun time...If you google it its possible to buy cheap vouchers online none busy times; for less than half price. Pony rides are an extra $5 from memory. Good petting and animal feeding opportunities. We got there between scheduled feeding times and still got to milk feed the calves, a lot of staff are high school students from the local town good little business including the community would definitely recommend the drive ...If your desperate to feed bunnies or guinea pigs go first thing in the morning as they are full by 11am...🤠🤠🤠✋🐭🐰🐹
Loved how the wind there was just unbelievable. Feeding the animals was therapeutic. Its a really good place for kids. They have a reptile show every weekend!! Had good mood throughout the day!
What a beautiful day! Great customer service and the staff were all very polite, helpful and knowledgeable. The kids had a wonderful time learning about the milking of cows, and the abundance of puns was an udder joy.A good couple of hours of enjoyment had by our family and could confidently recommend this to any families with kids
