Just a quiet little place off hwy 97 to use restrooms & eat at picnic tables. Take Alogoma exit to get on access road from hwy 97.

This is basically a highway rest area that you can’t stay in overnight. There are big no camping signs and a few shady characters who most likely ruined it for the rest of us. Keep driving!

Beautiful little day park with ponds, picnic tables and outhouses. Perfect place to stretch your legs and let the kids run for few minutes while on a road trip.

Quiet except for the traffic on the highway. But isnt difficult to tune most of it out. It seems to be less a "park" and more like a small rest area. It has a small 🚻 restroom. A few picnic tables. Fire pits/BBQ pits. Its on some water, which is always nice. There isnt a playground for kids to play on. There isnt any camping or overnight stays allowed. Its basically a little gravel drive. There seems to be a parking area on the other side of the restrooms. Its all gravel. And you have to go out the same way you entered. It was nice. We were the only ones in that area. Was a nice little spot to enjoy before heading back home. 😊

I always enjoy stopping here for a break and letting dogs out. The park is widely used for picnics and fishing. I always see others enjoying this park when I stop. This time there was an unusual amount of , to me, unknown animals running around. Id never seen these before and took video to investigate them later but they looked like a cross between a squirrel, beaver and small dog. It was interesting to view them because there were over twenty of them. Strange also that other species like squirrels were interacting with them. They stood up like meer cats and were playful. If someone knows what they are Id love to know. They used to allow overnight here but its day use only now. Free campsite webpages need to change this because it hasnt been anything other then day use for ages. Very nice place for a pit stop.

I would give five stars but I thought this was a free campground so we came to set up but when we got here it states for day use only no over night camping. Its a cute little park for bird watching and picnicing and the toilets need cleaned more often.

Its a pretty Park. At the beginning of covid they shut down the camping. Now that covid is no longer a factor they still wont allow camping. They need to update their website. That is a campground, thats what it was donated for.

Its a very nice spot if you enjoy nature, and there are restrooms and picnic tables but sadly alot of shady things seem to go on there due to the location. Could potentially be dangerous if youre alone there at the wrong time. I would only advise those who like adventure and a bit of danger to go there. Be safe.

Theres a pond that makes the park relaxing. As well as a underground river that flows out right there by the park. This water is safe to drink flowing from the mountain. Free 14 day camping. Please everyone clean up after yourselves to keep this park free. With Klamath falls about 8 miles away for site seeing and attractions. It is perfect

Restrooms are clean. The whole park is actually pretty clean and maintained. Has quite a few camping spots. Most have picnic tables and fire rings. Plenty of room for Rvs, pull behind campers, tents, etc. Some shade. Dog friendly and I have seen people fishing in the small ponds as well as a few small boats pull in for the Klamath Lake on the other side of the highway. You can camp here for free for 14 days. πŸ™‚

This is a great little park to get away from town. There is not much there to bring a lot of people, so its a great place to just get away and relax for a little while.

Nice park at one time. Dozen of homeless campers and a guy stopping an abandoned car. Toilets, water faucet without handle, unknown if it would work.

It would be a good free campground, but there are many people who stay there long and the stench from the bathrooms and pond is unbearable. Also, the freeway is right there and makes it nearly impossibly to sleep comfortably.

My experience of this park was camping a couple of nights in my bus. Not sure if the park consist of any more than a lot full of campers, and a couple of pit toilets. A large sign makes it clear that camping is limited to 14 days. From my interactions with some of the other campers, it seems like the campers there may vary from short to longer-termers, but I didn’t come right out and ask anyone if they had been there more than 14 days (not my business, not my problem), but I did get asked if I knew β€œRyan,” as though I was maybe supposed to know my neighbors at a campsite by name. The context of this conversation was I someone trying to find something that had been stolen from another camper, so points given for looking out for one another, and taken for there being theft apparently. The proximity of the highway and the freight rail line make this not the most serene location to sleep, but then again it was a free parking lot to crash in, so I’m not complaining.

3 feet from a busy highway and very loud. this park is full of dirty people that live there all summer. Would be great for small kids if it wasnt a hangout for the homeless.

Went kinda late in afternoon, was not crowded. I like we can park and get on the 4 wheeler and go up the Mountain or relax under some beautiful trees that shade picnic tables. All around nice place for the day or free camping up to 2 weeks.. no hook ups but theres restrooms. They stock the pond too.

Tucked away next to HWY 97, Haglestien Park is a great little get away with a picturesque pond. Good spot to stop and use the restroom and get some fresh air or for those of you headed up to Crater Lake (or enjoying the surrounding wildernessthis is a great FREE camping spot. If you cant afford the steep prices up at Crater Lake (or you just need a place to catch some shut eye before driving the rest of the way upHaglestien is a great option. You can camp for up to 14 days for free and check out the awesome Klamath County for cheap! Plus youre right across the highway from the beautiful Klamath Lake. (Pro tip: stay on HWY 97 and take the turn out just past where youd exit to get to Haglestien Park. Theres a small road that goes up the mountain and is easy to miss. Once you get to the top youll have sweeping views of Klamath Lake unlike any other you can find in the Basin. Itll really take your breathe away I promise. If you continue on a short ways, after the road turns to dirt, there are a few secluded camping spots overlooking the lake with fire pits already built. Just be warned, you will have to return down the mountain to Haglestien if you want to use to potty in private!)

Nice little park just off the Hwy. Great place to give the dog a break. Small pond , camping spots with 14 day max stay. Clean bathroomI would give this park a solid 4 but a few transients have found it, several old faded motor homes on site and a lady living in her car. They are trashing it up.

The park is small and a bit noisy since its right next to Highway 97. There is a spring there with a large trout in it, the water flows out as a shallow stream that goes under the highway and the railroad tracks and flows out into the Upper Klamath Lake.

This park if you could call it that is a mosquito infested nightmare from whatever negative force you believe in. There is no real organized layout or any amenities. Well one bathroom. This is a no human being habitation zone.

Looks to be a free camping area with about 10 sites. Signs state a max stay of 14 nights. We stopped just to use the bathroom which was relatively clean. Vault style toilets with lots of flies but pretty clean inside.

Needs more attention lot of riff raff pour in and camp out and it is posted no over night camping but you sure can see alot of questionable campers there for weeks as you drive by on highway 97. Not saying its not a safe place to stop use the restrooms if they are open but there are better facilities 10 miles north or south of it.

Four stars because you get what you pay for. My family camped here in September, shortly after labor day. It was close to the freeway and train tracks, and all night we were serenaded by big rigs and locomotives. It was very buggy, due to the marshy swamp nearby. On the plus side, it was free. Also, the toilets were clean and well supplied with TP, and we had the place nearly to ourselves (one other group was camping out). The coolest thing we saw there was a rookery of at least twenty white egrets in a nearby tree. They all flew in around dusk, and it was amazing to see so many all at once.

This IS a state funded homeless encampment. Stopped here to stretch my legs, and was greeted by some homeless people who wanted me to stay and "party" with them. They told me the person who takes care of the park says they are not supposed to stay more than 7 days, but as long as they dont start any fights they dont care how long they stay. This place has Porta Potties, with no TP. Plenty of BBQ pits and piknic tables for all the FREE camping your heart desires. That is, if the homeless havent completely taken over the park.If there was a small fee associated with staying overnight, this would have been a pleasant stop for me and my family, but instead we got back into the car to make it to another rest stop.

We wanted to stop for lunch and let our kids run around a bit. But...Gnats/Flies everywhere. An obvious homeless encampment along the creek. The restrooms had not been serviced in a long time. The only thing this park has for it is it was nice and quiet...

Very pleasant over night stop.on our way south. very quiet, no cost, no hookups. Rest rooms on site.a very nice creek. a fine little park in the midst of farm lands. The park is very well designed to provide maximum use of the creek so every one can get their feet wet and cool off. like a story book setting from a 1930s novel..there were many hawks and eagles. An excellent, clean , low cost stop if your on the road.much quieter than rest stops. :-)
