Wir waren wegen Sperrung der Ringstraße 2 Nächte, statt der geplanten 1 Nacht hier und hätten uns kein schöneres Hotel für die zweite Nacht vorstellen können! Super schönes Hotel, sehr sehr netter Inhaber, tolles Frühstück und mega schönes, sauberes Zimmer…alles sehr liebevoll umgesetzt! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt wieder!!! SEHR zu empfehlen!!!Ach so…der Ausblick aus den Zimmern ist gigantisch 🥰Vielen, vielen Dank!

Amazing views. 5 minute drive from the city, but nice and quiet and easy to get to the main areas. Great breakfast and very nice helpful owner. Hotel is new and modern with good size rooms. No complaints.

If you are visiting Akureyri or Eyjafjörður, Hafdals is the place to be. grate location, good rooms, fantastic view and personal service. Between Akureyri, Godafoss and Mývatn.

Perfect view, good breakfast,nice owner .. 😉😍 only problem: if you stay more than 1 night your bed will not be made up for the next night… happened in both our rooms so no mistake, if its a guest house it would be ok, but in a hotel …. Else it would be 5 stars

Absolutely fantastic place to stay when youre in the north.Perfect location, the owner/manager has great travel tips ans we managed to see aurora on our first night thanks to his advice.Beds are very comfortable and rooms are spacious!Breakfast is 10 out of 10Highly recommended

Wir wurden ohne Reservierung am späten Abend problemlos aufgenommen. In unsere ursprünglich gebuchte Lodge sind wir nicht reingekommen, mußten daher schnell Ersatz suchen. Das Hotel hat sich als Glücksgriff entpuppt. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Zimmer sind sauber und schön. Das Frühstück ist klasse. Alles liebevoll vorbereitet. Der Besitzer ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit.

We stayed here one night in mid September hopeing to see the northern lights and we did. This hotel is opposite akureyri with a great view. The people in akureyri were saying they could not see the lights from the city on the travel blog but we were able to get a very nice show.

We stayed in six hotels during our trip in Iceland and we both have to say that this one was the best by far. The hotel is located on the side of a hill overlooking the whole city and the fjord/sea. The rooms are modern, stylish, clean and extremely spacious. From the terrace in front of your room you can also enjoy this beautiful view. Parking spots right at the house. Owner very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also good with plenty of options to choose from.I cannot criticize anything. Everything was perfect!!

The best place to stay in Akureyri. The view is amazing, the breakfast is great quality! The host is very nice person was able to get us the breakfast earlier than its supposed to be because we were leaving early.

Very good hotel. We stayed here one night during the summer.* Place is brand new.* Very close to Akureyri.* Rooms are spacious and theres a back exit in most rooms with chairs and an amazing view.* Breakfast is decent.* Hosts are very pleasant and polite (this is a small family business).* Only minus - it tends to get hot in the rooms on warm days, which are not that rare in July in this area. Obviously theres no air conditioning, as this is Iceland (and its useless almost all year), so no real way to cool the room down at night, which may make it a bit difficult to sleep.

Lovely small hotel just opposite the town of Akureyri. With fantastic views of the fjord and Akureyri. Rooms are well equiped with comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent. Very friendly staff as well. I really recommend this place!

This hotel is absolutely amazing. We have had the best experience here. It is cozy and modern but not out of place. The hotel is about 5-10 minutes away from downtown Akureyri making it a perfect distance to be close to amenities, while also being private enough to get away from it all.The guesthouse is open year-round, so you can take advantage of ski season, whale-watching, puffin tours, sailing, hiking, biking, or just plain relaxing to enjoy the local atmosphere. Its also SO easy to get about anywhere in North Iceland, with quick access to neighboring fjords, parks, and points-of-interest.The owners are literally the nicest, most genuine people you will meet anywhere, and have built the perfect refuge for travelers near and far. Youll feel truly welcomed like family.I will be recommending Hafdals Gistiheimili to everyone that wishes to visit Iceland. The views from the room are nothing short of breathtaking. Do not waste your time with any other accomodations, just stay here!

시설 너무 세련되고 깨끗하고 편리하게 되어있고 특히 큰 창을 통해 내려다 볼 수있는 뷰는 정말 끝내줬어요. 오로라를 볼수 있었으면 좋았겠지만 못봐도 괜찮을 만큼 충분히 만족하고 갑니다. 주인아저씨가 very very friendly하셔서 여러가지 다 만족스러운 숙박이었어요. 최고!!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel which opened in Summer 2017. Internet is super fast. The view you have is simply incredible. The owner (and his familyare very nice and helpful. Need something? Just ask and you will get it. The rooms are very modern, clean and new. The shower is amazing and powerful. The beds are super comfy - perfect. Breakfast was also good and will be prepared at your desired time (the owner will ask you the day before). We really enjoyed our stay.

Recommended for Photographer. I had a very good time enjoy the whole Akureyri city view from wide hotel window. The place is very clean, simple, quiet.The host is super nice and helpful. We decided to spend 2 nights there and plan to go back again in summer.

A new and very nice hotel. The host was friendly. View are excellent. Within 10 minuets drive from the city centre.

We stayed at Hafdals guesthouse one night while we were in Akureyri. It is a new guesthouse with several modern rooms on the lower level. The friendly owner checked us in quickly and showed us how to use the key and operate the patio door.The views from this guesthouse are amazing! It sits on a hill overlooking Akureyri. It gave us an amazing sunset view over the city. The breakfast area on the upper level has full glass windows that highlight the view too. Its about a 5 min drive into the city.A coffee pod machine and fridge were available in the room. Shampoo and body wash were provided and there was ample space around the sink for our toiletries. The shower was excellent and the hot water didnt even have the sulphur smell.The included breakfast was pretty typical for a guesthouse but had a good variety and quantity of items. Skyr cups were available along with milk, cereals, hard boiled eggs, cheese, meat, bread, fruit and pancakes.My only quibble is that the rooms could use a bit more privacy with the shared walkway out in front. Adding shear blinds along with the blackout curtains would help.Otherwise this place is among the best places Ive ever stayed. Highly recommended!
