This is the most authentic Mexican food I have found in Mobile. I recently moved here from Arizona and this restaurant reminds me of the southwest

Typical Tex-Mex,food is good but took our server about 10 min. to show up with a menu. No drinks until the food arrived and had to go ask another server to find the waitress for our check. Worth eating at if you have the time to wait.

My family and I went a few days ago and had the most wonderful experience! The manager assisted and everything was fresh. We never ran out of drinks and they were more than accommodating to my always picky husband. We will most definitely go back..

Came here with some coworkers. I can always count on San Miguel to provide a quality lunch at a fair price when taking guests here. The service is fast and the staff is very nice. My burrito had grilled chicken and tasted fresh. The beans here are pretty good. My usual meal is the Chimichanga. It is filling and tastes great. Hope to add a photo of that soon.

I come in here several times per week and generally enjoy the experience..Today was another story ,,, They charged me $6.50 for a 1/4 of an ear of corn … this should never be allowed to leave the kitchen .Today is my third day in a row here , I come and have a drink or two and dinner but I’m pretty sure I won’t be back nearly as often .

Service was great as was the food. The food was on the table within 8 minutes of placing our order. Hector (waiterwas there for our every need. Will be back next time we are in town.

Nice presentation & food tasted even better than it looks. I generally judge a Mexican restaurant by how good the beans are. Loved theirs! My friend had fajitas & the lunch plate was huge. Tasty enchiladas.

The food and drinks here are amazing. Two margaritas shouldnt make me go home and go to sleep, but they do here. The servers are nice, and the food comes out quickly, accurately, and hot.

Food was fantastic no complaints there. The staff was amazing so no complaints there. The restaurant was very clean no tables were left unattended when guests were done with their evening, once more no complaints there. The complaint is with the live band dont get me wrong I love some good music with a meal while with some guests, but when you cant even hear anyone from your own table speak then that is when the issue arises. The band has the speakers up so loud that all you hear is them singing which is actually a terrible reaction because it tells guests that we dont care about what type of evening you are having whether you are having your anniversary, birthday, or just catching up with some friends you havent seen in a long time we are going to make it all about us (the band with that the restaurant gets 4 stars due to the band. Other than that the restaurant itself with the food, staff and how they take care of the guest this place is really a great place to come and eat.

Passing through town decided to stop for a meal. We tried the birria tacos, and they did not disappoint. Great food excellent service.

We were the Second table in building today party of 10. Took 45 minutes to get drinks. Cheese dip and food came out at same time. ALL FOOD was cold!! One in the party did not get food and the lady manager tried to make her pay for her food that she didn’t even eat!!!!!!! Big language barrier hardly any employees can speak English and none of us could speak Spanish. Only gave one star cause your required to give one.

The fajitas are really good, and the salsa is amazing. They add cilantro to theirs 😋Service is also quick. We’re still eating the chips, whenever they bring the meal out.

Great bartender! It was her first night behind the bar, didnt get her name, but she was very personable with a perfect sense of humor! The food is always excellent!

My husband and I sat outside with our two toddlers. We ordered our drinks and queso. It took over 20 minutes for the queso to come out and our food came out immediately after. Our kids meals didnt come with our food. We told the server and their food came out 15 minutes later after we were almost done with our food. We were never offered refills on our drinks or chips. When the check came I went to the host stand asked to speak to a manager inside because I have hearing problems. The manager went to my table outside and refused to come inside to speak to me. She got an attitude when I told her I didnt want to talk to her at our table because I couldnt hear her with the band playing. She told me I could speak outside in front of my server. I tried several times to explain my disability and I asked if we could speak inside where I could hear her. I explained what all had happened and she rolled her eyes and took 10% off of our bill. The manager was very unprofessional and rude. If this is how they discriminate against disabilities we will not be going back.

Usually its very good, but this time I ordered the Victoria bowl with fajita steak. When it was served it looked delicious, but it smelled of bbq sauce instead of fajita. Definitely odd.

The place was highly recommend. We went in three different vehicles. The restaurant was easy to find using Google maps. The access was easy off a 4-lane highway. The parking lot was large but we all found a place without trouble. The inside was full of energy and good aromas. The first person there already had a table ready. The service was prompt. The food was hot and came fairly quickly. One member of our party celebrating a birthday and the folks at San Miguels made it fun.

What a great Mexican restaurant. What most Americans typically expect for Mexican food.The food here is good and fresh, especially the fresh mashed guacamole. I usually get the chimi when I do mexicana and I love that it is not greasy and swimming in sauce.My kids love salsa and it isnt so spicy that they cant eat it, but is tasty enough the adults still enjoy it.The service is fantastic and the staff remember your face when you come back a couple times.We eat here regularly and would recommend.

Never had a bad meal here and service is always great. Beer is decently priced too. I will always come here to ear when I want some good Mexican food.

Drove 100 miles for our Graduation Celebration to be mistreated! Place Poorly ran… Manager dismissed our concerns. Party of @least 20+. With a running Alcohol Tab! Guys do not come here if you want to enjoy yourself!

Id really like to come back and try again. We waited 30 minutes after being seated for the manager to walk up and ask if wed been served because all the servers were standing around talking about who was serving us. Then everything we got that had cheese looked rushed because none of it was melted. I feel like its not usually like this.

Food was delicious, big portions. Our waitress was super friendly, especially impressive because they were slammed and it was the end of a long day. Highly recommend!The San Miguel sampler is a sweet deal, nachos, flauta, and quesadilla all together.

Food was great server was great. When we first arrived I was little upset that it took 20 mins for a waiter to come ask what drinks we wanted. But after that it got much better. Afterwards I realized we arrived just as they were opening so I then understood more why they took a bit at first

While the food was good, after seeing the Lack of Care in the Cleanliness of the Bathrooms and EVERY Window in the place, it kinda makes me wonder just how clean the kitchen is thats preparing my food. As for me, I think Ill skip this location and look for a place that is more focused on providing a clean environment for me to enjoy!

My son wanted to come here after his 5th grade graduation, and what an awesome choice it was. Our food was great & before we left he said we have to come back here! Our waitress was awesome too.

Great atmosphere good food. If you want to bring a family member for their bay its not your typical gig.ie. sombrero, maracas..Do not warn them just take your camera out and record the moment. Youll be laughing your a$$ off.

Burrito chicken Loco. Busy lunch crowd. My server was not well trained. Took my order like he was roller blades. Food arrived lukewarm without sufficient time until the salamander (broiler), I had to ask for salt and pepper and extra napkins. I had to ask for my check. The restaurant staff needs more training than standing around chatting.

I ordered an extensive online order while intown only yo find they were closed due to a private party. So i decided to try again and was not disappointed. Service was friendly and food was very flavorful. Thank you for the experience. I will visit you again.

We ate outside for a small get together for a bday party. Was quite busy but still has good service. Great time overall.

Awesome food. They have varieties in menu and all taste so good. Menu is different than usual Mexican restaurants. Especially the soup.Even serverice was excellent, my server suggested a few items and I liked them all.Ambience is also good. I took the outside seating.

The managers, Mauel and Maria have decided to cut portions. I ordered the Mexican Dinner which comes with a taco. They first brought a taco that had very little beef and a small sprinking of cheese. When I complained, I was told the managers are cutting portions and there is nothing they can do. Our waitress took my taco back and added lettuce and tomatoes. As you can see from the photos it was still a very skimpy taco. We will no longer patron the San Miguel in Theodore. From now on, it will be the Schillinger Road or Pascagoula location.
