Best fajitas around. Asada with enchilada was also amazing. Fast service very nice people. Chill vibe.

Its rare that Im really impressed with Mexican food, simply because there is so much of it in our area, but this place has impressed my girl and I twice now. The food is delicious, so good. As a bonus, even though they were really busy the food came out promptly and service was great. Cant wait to come back.

Great Ambiance, the waiter was on top of things! Horchata was to die for and so were the chilaquiles. The portion of the plate caught me of guard, but who doesnt like big portions.

Honestly probably some of the worst mexican you can get in riverside. The inside was pretty cool, but when we sat down there were three big dead bugs on our table and a couple on the seat. The food was beyond mediocre at best. They also dont know how to price anything. You can get more meat from a Chile Verde burrito than you can in the platter and you pay less for the burrito. Highly disappointing as I was excited to try it out, but the only two things about the place that i liked was the back entrance and the employees were cool

Took my mom there for late lunch early dinner and was very happy with the whole meal, everything from the device to food was outstanding, I highly recommend this place to everyone!

I walked in this morning. After ten minutes of waiting for the waiter, he just attended to everyone other than me. I was the only true Mexican at the time, thats the only difference I noticed.

Just the rice alone was extremely good now imagine the food....yummo. And to top off, the church dessert, mind blowing.

Passable food with a decent atmosphere, but the cleanliness was awful. There were two dead bugs at our table with one being actually on the table while the other was on our seat. Both were either cockaroaches or water bugs which was gross and then the food, as I said, was passable at best. Its okay

Amazing flavor and you can tell, cooked from scratch. I wanted to order their mole to go! Their Verde was so darn good. I couldnt even share the flan with my son... but a great bite!

i went for a sports banquet, it was very nice and spacious, and the staff were very nice and very helpful and werent rude, but the banquet hall had an kind of old smell. food was great!!

I wish I took pics of my dinner. As a visitor to Riverside from Florida, I wanted to try something different. So I decided on Mexican for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by Habanero Mexican Grill. Firstly, the atmosphere is inviting and the decor reminiscent of a quaint Mexican restaurant. My server was very attentive and service was quick.I ordered the Chile Relleno and Beef Enchilada combo which came with rice and refried beans. Delicious and full of flavor. To drink I had an Horchata, spiced perfectly. So good I ordered one to go.I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone in Riverside California.

Googled “Best Mexican food in Riverside” and this was top of the list. And it didn’t disappoint. All our meals were huge and first rate and the margaritas were 💯 Glad we came. Lovely staff too. Stuffed and happy

Excellent chili Verde burrito, salsa was some of the best I’ve had, and the margarita was perfect. From the owner to my server, I received a warm welcoming and excellent service. Plenty of disabled parking available, and the bathrooms were clean, and accommodating.

This is my go to Mexican restaurant! For those who care, the rice is as close to homemade as Ive had at any restaurant. The salmon and shrimp combo is delectable. The Mexican street tacos with asada are great! I love that the salsa is a little spicy, unlike most "authentic" Mexican restaurants around. I have not had anything here that I would not order again. Love this place!

The food was very very good. I would have given it 5 stars but the place is called habanero grill and they dont have a single habanero salsa or hot sauce. Thats kind of a disgrace if you ask me.

Food is ok but the stingyness on the salsa is ridiculous. 2 measly containers for a meal for 2.

I order the carne asada fries and to me they were ehh. One thing I didn’t like was chunk of chop onions they added in the fries which was a no for me. I gave this place a 3 star cause maybe there other dishes is better 🤷🏽‍♀️. Would i eat their fries again it’s a no

Hands down my favorite spot to eat mexican food beside my Moms house.... the mole brought back child hood memories from my Grand Ma... this particular spot has me going back for more. Server are polite and helpful they come an check on you switch drinks when needed.All I can say is give this spot a try I guarantee youll leave satisfied....

1st time coming here. The food was good, we got the enchiladas don louis and the salmon combo with a blended strawberry marg. Everything was really good and the salsa was the perfect amount of heat. The jalapeno butter on the salmon was sooo good and cooked perfectly. The only complaint we had was that my husbands meal came out 5 minutes+ plus before mine, but not that big of a deal. I would come back.

Ive only had the chilaquilles here but all breakfast items that my group ordered were loved on multiple occasions. I highly recommend it, very flavorful and the meat is always perfect.

Where this restaurant is located it has a lot of stiff competition to compete with. But it definitely has risen to above the rest. Very good authentic food here. I felt like I was at my wifes witas house in TJ. Dont skip this place and go check them out. Nice outside and inside seating with a staff that is friendly and fast.

Food was really good and flavourful. Chips and salsa were great as an appetizer. Michelada was on point. Ordered the chile relent and taco plate and everything was just very appetizing. Will definitely come back again. Power shut off to block due to winds, while I was their and quiet a few people were complaining but the staff handled everything very professionally and as best as possible. Was not their fault. But kudos to the staff for still cooking a d serving and trying to please their customers. Thank you.

Incredible chicken flautas & beef enchiladas, one of the best Cadillac margaritas I’ve ever had! top notch food.

We had chicken mole enchiladas, chicken taco and churros & ice cream. Everything was so delicious. I’ve had Mexican rice at a dozen different places before and never liked them. I guess it was because I didn’t eat the right thing. Their rice is light, a little chewy and filled with flavor. Love this place!

Food is great. Kind of what youd expect from a typical mexican restaurant. Taking off 1 star due to there were 3 servers and only 6 tables with people, yet i had to walk to the kitchen area where they were hanging out at multiple times to ask for things.

All we can say is so glad we stopped here wonderful Mexican food the bomb the food was served fresh off the grill. This has got to be one of the best places we have been in some time. We will definitely return. The drinks fantastic. The owner even came by our table to greet us Ernesto. The server even made my plate that was not on the menu Huaraches con camarones!

I really enjoyed eating there. The prices were average and reasonable. I had mole enchiladas the mole was great but the chicken was salty. All other guest with me enjoyed there food.

Habanero is great! We were excited to find a place with great salsa and the entrées were also delicious. While the menu is simple, it was still authentic and tasty. Plus, it made it easier for an indecisive person like myself to order. To top it off, our waiter was incredibly polite. Give them a try if you havent already!

Very simple menu but plenty of variety. I got the fajitas and the meat was seasoned well and tender. My friend got the chili verde pork which was also very good. Salsa was flavorful with a little kick. Would def come back. And they fill their wine glasses all the way up! My friend got a margarita which he said was awesome and they were cheap! The service was great, the 2 gentleman that worked with our table were kind and attentive.

Being New to the IE this is one of the most authentic Mexican food places Ive found so far. Only knock is an inexperienced waiter saying the Oaxaca mole is not spicy. If it was for me it would have been no issue but being for my daughter it was too spicy for her. All things considered we will be back again

The place is great. I had the two chicken tacos combination plate. The rice and beans are tasty. The tacos are a decent size and packed with meat. I drizzled the salsa on them as I am a big fan of the salsa too.The service needs to be mentioned as well. The staff is very attentive. I never had to ask for.my water to be filled or the chip basket to be refilled. Please give Habanero a try. I cannot imagine you will live disappointed.

The food is very good. Its just hard for me to give a 5. If there were an option for 4.5, they would have gotten it! I had the fajita burrito and my son had the cheese enchiladas. We both enjoyed our food very much. The chicken in the burrito was grilled just right and had a nice flavor. The fajita vegetables were grilled just right and complimented the burrito very well. Oh, and the guacamole was excellent!We had excellent service from a lovely young man. He kept our drinks filled WITHOUT being asked, right along with the chips and salsa too! Both of which are very important to me when dining out at a Mexican restaurant. We will be back again!

Visiting Riverside on a Sunday morning, googled for a Mexican restaurant near downtown, found this place, glad I did! Small, corner place with parking in back, had chicken mole enchiladas with an over easy egg on top, wifey had the huevos rancheros with red chile beef, both were delicious! Authentic Mexican food, gotta try it!! Will go there again next time Im in town!!!

We were in Riverside on business for a week. Been eating out every day. Wanted something close to homemade. Found Habanero Grill on Google. We are picky, spoiled San Diegans. Its been interesting trying new places this week. We are not far from home, yet the flavor changes big time. Place is not too crowded. We got here an hour before closing time. Got chips and salsa. Chips are white corn, salsa is so mild it almost tasted sweet. But thats ok. Not everyone enjoys having their tongue brutally stabbed at dinnertime.I ordered Camarones a la Diabla. I thought the sauce was gonna be a joke on a spicy level. 🥵 That what I get for defying an unknown restaurant. Though spicy, very good. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. Big Shrimp, plenty of sauce. Rice was delicious, plump and flavorful. Beans, I could not tell if they were canned or not. Guacamole was chunky and very fresh. My one complaint is the tortillas. They are white, thin, store bought.We are used to handmade or authentic tortilleria type tortillas.Customer service is good. Guys are very nice and attentive.Overall I liked it.

Where do I start? Well! The crouching restaurant with hidden Burritos in Riverside. We were down to Riverside area to run some business, and we didn’t know where to have our lunch. We turned to yelp for help, bingo this place popped up with great reviews so we gave it a try. We ordered a carne asada, fajita chicken burrito for lunch. To our surprise these were the best burritos we have tried so far . These were so delicious,yummy and amazing good. The meats were tendered, the Rices and also cooked beans were soft . My daughter wasn’t a Mexican’s food fan but she was amazed the tastes of it. Beside the burritos, they gave us a side dish of chips and homemade salsa, well well well the salsa was deliciously terrific and we have to ask for more. I loved the services here, they were so friendly and helpful to go extra miles to make the customers happy. Their prices were also affordable and reasonable .

This place is really good. Picked it because it had good reviews and it lived up to its reputation. Friendly waiter, great food, good house made salsa. The veggie fajita burrito was fresh and delicious. Would recommend this place highly.

Habeneros a small but welcoming restaurant located in Riverside proves to be more than just a mom and pop Mexican restaurant. Habeneros Mexican Grill serves up classic mexican dishes with homemade love. There traditional salsa is a perfect blend of tomato, onion, jalapeno pepper and cilantro, its just the right amount of mild. Their hotter salsa seems to be the same but with what I believe is Habenero pepper to give it that extra kick. I had the Chile Rellenos, rice and beans. This order comes with soup or salad. I had the Verde Posele which is served with cabbage in it, classic grandma style. Delicious! The Rellenos are large and covered with a mild enchilada like sauce. They are packed with cheese and are dipped in just the right amount of batter. I look forward to going back. Side note staff is pleasant, but could use a bit more flare to their service.

This place is always good. Went at 9 am and they place was to our selves. The service is great. They offer 2 different types of salsa and the chips are always fresh. The menudo was very good. It was loaded with meat and hit the spot. The chili relleno had a THICK egg batter, which I wasnt a huge fan of, the previous time we were here it was not like that and it was great. Quesadilla had pico de gillo inside of it, that was not something I was expecting and I hate onions so I was a little disappointed but the rest of our party really enjoyed it. I do agree that all food should come out at once. Its a little akward to have to wait a few minutes inbetween getting plates.

My favorite Mexican restaurant to visit whenever I need to take trip to San Diego from Las Vegas. I make a point to stop by and eat here. The first time I tried this place out was when they first opened. The food was incredible and made me want to come back everyday for the rest of the days I was in town. The owner was so welcoming and took time to get to know us and our opinion of the food. Visit 2 & 3 went just as well. I have tried the carnitas and seafood enchilada. Not only is the main entrée delicious, the beans,rice, tortillas and side dishes taste just as good. Next time I come back I will definitely have the shrimp and salmon.
