Habana 61 - Restaurant in Havana, Cuba
Excellent service great food nice ambianceLoved it!
Great service and delicious food.
Amazing food for a reasonable price and good service. They have vegetarian and vegan options which is very appreciated.
If you love seafood you have to try the lobster here. It’s the best in Havana. The seafood soup was excellent too. Waitress Jenny speaks perfect English which made our communication seamless. Good choices of drinks. The staff were outstanding. Services were excellent. Highly recommend.
Superb meals, especially the lobsters! Went there twice during the same trip. Affordable price and good exchange rate from USD to Pesos.Food - amazing, fresh seafoodPrice - goodAmbiance - goodLocation - great
We found this restaurant towards the end of our trip. The food was extremely good, the prices were fair (same range as other touristic places). The staff were also friendly. We tried octopus carpaccio, fish ceviche, bbq chicken and pulled meat. All of them were good.
Spectacular! Great food, great value and friendly staff. Highly recommend 👌😀
In love with this restaurant. They do amazing food and cocktails. Their piña colada is superior!
Food and service was very good.
Excellent shredded beef and ceviche! The service was also the best we experienced in Cuba.
By far the best meal we had in Havana. The lobster was cook to perfection. Gazpacho with shrimp was really good. The drinks has enough alcohol , we encountered a few places with watered down drinks 😟 Place is very clean with air conditioning, no flies !!! Price quite reasonable 👍👍
Delicious food that is beautifully plated. My husband had the pork (pictured here), I highly recommend that and the sauteed yucca. I didnt love my beef ropa vieja, it was good but not quite as good as that pork! This place is clean and air conditioned - and has a clean bathroom. Service was quick and attentive. Prices are reasonable for Habana Vieja.
Its fairly hard to get a good food in Cuba, IMHO.This spot is actually quite Okay. Well, not a culinary miracle, but does the job well...
We were there Sat at 7:30 pm without a reservation. Was given a table for 1 1/2 hours. Very friendly service. Nice decor & good food.Update: we have returned last night & tried new dishes.Tried the smoothy H61.
Came here as it was reccomended by our airbnb host; we were lucky to get a table early evening as it was rammed with tourists and they were turning away more all evening (make of that what you will). We had ceviche, salad and bread to start and all were excellent. For mains we had a pork solomillio in a lime cream sauce which was good although the meat was a little overcooked. A seafood stew was also solid. Tried the chocolate mousse for dessert but had a weird texture and was sickly sweet; it was kindly taken off the bill as we didnt eat it. Coffees were really bitter but after we mentioned this they remade them and they were a fair bit better. Overall the food is pretty good but the service was brilliant.
By far my most favourite restaurant in Cuba!! Excellent....and i mean EXCELLENT Cuban fine cuisine!!!The chef is a talented genius with fantastic creations like Octopus carpaccio, solomillo de cerdo con crema de limon (delicious pork filet with a lime cream sauce, the BBQ Chicken, croquetas, ropa vieja, the fish steak with a green herb sauce and one of the best chicken soups ive ever had in my life!Additionally, you MUST try their Coconut Pudding with Curry sauce dessert....yes, i said a dessert with curry sauce.Forget what you think about curry, this chef did something so original and out of left field that you would do yourself a disservice if you didnt try it. Simply one of the most creative desserts ive ever had, its a fantastic burst of flavours. The drinks are also skillfully prepared and everything on their entire menu is reasonably priced verging on inexpensive.Do yourself a flavour and visit this restaurant!
One of the best restaurants we visited in Havana. The excellent Mojitos are cheap with 3,50 CUC, the Piña Colada tasted excellent here. The dishes were fantastic. We tried the very tasty and tender Pollo Barbacoa, as side dishes we ordered Platanos, Yuka and the rice - all of them were very tasty. The service was very friendly and attentive - I can fully recommend the restaurant and will not have eaten here last time :). 5 stars
4.5! One of the tastier meals in Havana recommended by our local host. The seafood fresh, black beans tasty and the grilled bananas so amazing; caramelized sweetness that melts in your mouth. The frozen Margherita was pretty on point too; had a decent amount of alcohol and wasn’t too sweet!
The best restaurant we ate at whilst visiting Cuba. It has a good reputation and it’s well deserved, the food was delicious. The fish croquettes were light and fluffy with a delicate crispy outer. I can also highly recommend the traditional shredded beef, it was full of flavour- I must thank our waiter for his recommendation. All was not perfect, as the lobster was slightly over cooked but full of flavour. The staff were pleasant and helpful, their English far superior to my Spanish so guided us through the menu and choices.Reservations are a must, and they only take local reservations - meaning no website bookings, so either use your local contact or book when you first arrive, it is worth it though.
Food and service here were amazing !! We ordered the Lobster tail in Garlic , the Ropa Vieja , Ceviche , and some rice, beans and bread.Everything we ate was incredible ! The staff even saw that we finished our rice and beans and brought us more over which was amazing as we loved the flavor of it.For what you get and the level of quality, its well worth it ! When i go back to Havana I will for sure go back to this restaurant
We discovered it through a friends recommendation. We had good time there and great food. I cannot say the best during our stay but quite good.
You need a recommendation? Take the ceviche and the ropa vieja! The pina Colada was also very good as drink! The waiter was beautiful and very nice:-)
The best restaurant I have ever eaten at in Cuba. Everything on the menu is good but the Lobster in Cuban Sauce, Octopus salad and Ceviche are to die for. The food was so good we came back 3 times in 4 days just to order appetizers before trying new restaurants. If you have to eat at one place in this whole city, please go and check out this one. Youll definitely not regret it.
Excellent food. We came the same day it reopened from being remodeled to celebrate our 25th anniversary.Very clean and nice decor. Food was delicious and so was the service. I would definitely recommend.
Amazing service, drinks and food! A must visit while in Old Havana!
In the 4 days spent in Havana, this was our favorite restaurant. We had lunch there one day and returned for dinner the next. Both the quality of ingredients (tender meatand the preparation were first rate. Good Chilean wines too.
Happened to stumble upon this place for lunch one day during our trip in Havana and I wish we found it sooner. We got cevice, croquettes, and a shrimp curry dish and everything was delicious! easily the best in Havana. We tried to go for dinner the following night and they said we needed a reservation because they were full. Definitely make a reservation for dinner! Worth going.
We went there as part of a private Havana tour and were so glad that this restaurant was chosen. Portions are large and service is not rushed. Explained gluten allergy and waiter was very patient as I used an app on my phone to translate. Food was delicious and I couldnt finish any of my dishes but I tried my best. The servings are generous and the rice and beans I had two helpings. They made me a delicious non-alcholic pina colada.
Good food and friendly staff.
What a wonderful place! Make sure to reserve your table ahead (same day was possible in our case). Modern ambience in Habana Vieja. Very attentive and friendly staff, mouthwatering meals and cocktails - and the only great salad we had in our entire holiday. Overall perfect presentation and very good value for money. Highly recommended - our best meal in Cuba.
Well located on Havana street close to the waterfront. The decor is modern minimalist. The service is quick and attentive. The food is excellent and ingredients are fresh. We had the house green salads, the chicken noodle soup and the Cuban style prawns accompanied by rice, black beans and yucca. Fabulous. Prices are reasonable. Would recommend highly.
Cozy little place that serves good food and drinks. The portions are perfect size and the flavors are spot on. I got the shredded beef and the spices they used are delicate on the palate and well balanced. The flan was just divine! Its rich and very dense I think its great to share. I Highly hly recommend to try this place when in Havana. I wish I was able to come back a second time during my visit.
Best dining experience in Cuba. Nice ambient. Small but delicate plates. Highly recommended
The drinks and food were delicious!
Great food, great service! The ceviche is a must try!
Highly recommended! Mid range price, and the quality of the food an the service were great, I loved the ceviche here! But my advice book beforehand I stumble with a website alamesacuba dot com, they are making reservations on line. and they are a directory with all the bars and restaurants in havana and other provinces.
Great menu, great portions, delicious barbecue chicken. Barbecue chicken often takes 25 to 30 minutes to be prepared but it is well worth the wait. Reasonable prices and very professional and friendly staff!
Great food and really friendly staff. Small place so make a reservation. Had the Pollo Barbecoa which was more than enough with rice and beans.
Delicious food with great service, and very well priced to boot!Perhaps the best grilled octopus and caramel flan we had during our time in Cuba.Make sure to book in advance as they are usually packed.
We stumbled on this place our first night in Havana and knew we went to the right place. They let us in even without a reservation (we got luckyand had a wonderful meal. Service was friendly and fast and we had a great time. Definitely stop by during your stay.
Restaurant with good service staff. Food is not bad but I wouldnt say its outstanding. The dish that stood out for me was the gazpacho. Really tasty and whetted my appetite.
Best place to eat in terms of quality, service and prices. Must make a reservation. We ate 3 days in a row and I highly recommend it!
Place is super chic. Had the chance to sit down with the owner (who assured me hes there most daysand talk about the economic climate and the food culture of the city. This is definetly predominantly a tourist spot. Didnt see many restaurant chains in Havana but this looks like something that can be scaled up.
Clean place and delicious food. The drinks are amazing!
Great food. Very modern restaurant.
Great Cuban food at reasonable prices. Excellent service. Make a reservation!!
Ceviche was great. Pork dish we had was a little salty but very well cooked. The flan for dessert was delish and the staff offered it complimentary when they found out we were celebrating my husbands birthday.
Amazing decor, excellent food, great waitstaff. Wonderful contemporary takes on Cuban cuisine, but dont miss out on the classic Ropa Vieja either. (and if you feel adventurous, the pulpo carpaccio is divine!)Make a reservation if you come at night!
The best dining experience i had in havana. The seafood was a bit overcooked but otherwise everything else was excellent. A more modern take on cuban cusine. The sauces were flavorful. Great customer service. Reservations are a must during high season
Amazing food, great friendly atmosphere. Not traditional Cuba, but their traditional and contemporary Cuban dishes make up for the more modern feel with high quality food and wonderful drinks (try the daiquiri, youll love it)
