Visited the abandoned Utvorda Festning. This fortress consists of many German bunkers, artillery pieces, and caves. Commissioned in 1940 and abandoned in 1945 the location never saw any battle. The vast array of tunnels and caves hand dug into granite are a true work of engineering. I guess I can check off exploring WW2 German Bunkers off my list. I also would highly suggest bringing "muckers" as I call them or tall waterproof boots if you want to wade into some of the flooded bunkers. It also can get quite muddy. Just remember it is ABANDONED, this is not a museum. You will need to be able to hike up steep inclines, over rocks, and be prepared with food and water. This is not the place you want to get hurt at you are isolated and it will take time to get help if you do. Also stick to the path, while Im not sure if there are still mines around the map shows that at one point there were/are active mines laid. So dont go exploring too much off the trodden path. Overall a great experience.

Schöner Rundweg durch die Natur in ruhiger Atmosphäre und nicht von Menschenmassen überlaufen. Wir konnten entspannt die gut erhaltenen Bunker erkunden und vieles über die Geschichte erfahren.

Im Winter eine sehr ruhige Ecke wo man die Einsamkeit und Ruhe genießen kann. Elche kann man mit viel Glück auch sehen.

Tur de o zi plăcut, dacă nu sunt curenții prea tari de vânt. ☺️Bun de făcut într-o zi caldă. Priveliște superba și plimbare relaxanta prin pădure. Se pot vizita culoarele subterane, doar că sunt inundate.

Sehr interessanter Ort der immer eine Reise wert ist. Der weh dorthin sind ca 1,5 km unwegsames Gelände zu Fuß. Es lohnt sich aber.
