H4 Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz in Police

Overall a very nice hotel. Good service. Nice breakfast. Very good located i center Berlin.

Not worth 4*. Not bad, but not good either. Wouldn’t stay here again. I have no complaints related to the staff (they are all friendly), just the hotel itself.- needs some interior improvements, it looks way better on presentation photos;- not enough space in the restaurant, had to wait for 5 mins to sit with breakfast plate in my hand;- breakfast choice is worse than I had in some 3* hotels;- the water temperature in the shower is impossible to set, it goes from cold to hot round and round;- wifi is super bad, always with 1-2 bars max. Even now it’s 1*;- got 2 separate beds instead of single double bed;- check out extension costs 10€/h which is quite pricey for this hotel.

Very nice hotel in city center. The room was ver clean and the linens as well. The breakfast was very good but the coffee could be better. The staff is helpful and welcoming. Room was not spacious but sufficient for me as a solo traveler.

While the rooms seem to have been recently renovated, some pieces of equipment are already showing a lot of wear. Water tap was scratched with peeling paint, the safe control panel was held together by painters tape and worst of all, the window could not be closed. I would expect the staff to take notice and fix these issues.The cleaning staff needs to do better overall. They came knocking on our door at 9 AM on check out day (due by 12 PM which is generous, BTW). They also came early on the previous day as we were just getting ready for breakfast, and never came back to clean the room even though we were away all day. Leaving some confetti on the carpet in the hallway for three days confirms that they dont do the best job in the world.Other than that, the room was comfortable, the location is great, and breakfast was tasty and well stocked at all times.

Very good hotel with spacious, modern rooms and clean bathroom. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms are quite warm though and the fan is not sufficient to bring the temperature down.

I found it is not so good as the longer I stayed here. 3rd day here and housekeeper again didnt come clean the room when I specifically asked the reception to remind them aswell as taking the iron and the ironing board away. The reception told me that they housekeeper will come clean my room. Then when I got back at 4pm, room was still unclean and the iron boards still out by my door. So I call reception and told the lady loof my problem and she said she will inform housekeeping. Anyway 2 men came knocking and told me to leave the room for 5 minutes. They didnt change the beddings and just replaced the towels and a 2 minutes vacuuming job. They were literally out in less than 5 minutes. I must say that I am not pleased with their work and their attitude. I am still having 3 more nights here and already dreading it.

Nice hotel, breakfast tasty!

Cant believe what happened here tonight. Wrote my review on their FB page already. We came back to the hotel today, Friday 9th September 2022 and wanted just a drink at the bar, sitting outside. There was a table open outside with 2 ladies having their drinks. The waiter told me that I am not allowed to sit outside as the terassse is closed because of the rain. It was 6pm with blue sky and sunshine. He was quite rude and said he will not open another table. I went inside having a coke and waited for my husband. Even complaining to the reception didnt help. We went to H2 next door, having a drink outside without any problems and discovered a half hour later that the waiter at H4 has opened 4 tables outside, people were sitting there with a drink. I never felt so discriminatied in my whole life! Official complaint will follow. HT Blair.

As my niece and I were traveling through Berlin and Rotterdam, we had planned to stay at an Air BnB for a couple of days. Suffice it to say, the place we were going to stay in was a bust.We had to scramble to find a place to stay the same day. We happened to find the H4 Hotel in Alexanderplatz. We booked 23 minutes before we checked in.The building is beautiful. The staff is kind and thoughtful!Heated floors in the bathroom! 😮The H4 has easy access to many parts of the city from what I could tell.I enjoyed seating in the outside patio and watching the city move.A great experience.We loved it so much, we stayed in a H4 in Kassel a couple of days later. 🙂

Hair dryer was malfunctioning, the minibar wasnt working (only hot beveragesand the breakfast was fine but not great.Otherwise a really great stay! We had a really silent room at the 7th floor 👍

Pros: walking distance from U/S/RB/RE (5-7 mins). Great german restaurant nearby!Cons: Small rooms, breakfast was 4/10 with very salty scramble eggs, bacon and sausages for 15 euros. Beds in the room were never separated although requested two twin beds and confirmed the request was placed. Blanket was made from a weird material that makes you sweat a lot during the night. A/C was barely working. Gym is very small, 2-3 people max at a time to feel comfortable.

The room was nice but during a 6 days stay it was never cleaned under the bad 😞, I am allergic to dust so that was to a big issue for me, the rest of the room was clean and had all the essentials needed.The hotel also has decent sauna and a little gym on the top floor.

For me not even 1 star, I made check out and was laying down for some time waiting for my husband and they told me I can’t lay there cause is not good for the other guests. I was their guest for days. I never saw something like that in any hotel in the world.Be aware of this place

It was overall alright nothing special really. We had a weird situation after check-in when we took a nap after the long travel to Berlin and someone in the staff came in and insisted to do something with the minibar (like add a waterbottle or similarit felt quite forced and weird. Other than that the shaving outlet in the bathroom didnt work so I couldnt shave before going out to eat. Maybe it couldve been solved but we didnt have so much time before our table reservation.Were not dissatisfied but it could have been better.

Nice hotel, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Attractive lobby and restaurant. The gym looks nice and there is a sauna. My room needs some minor maintenance but it was very clean and comfortable.

Stayed in H4 Alexnderplartz between 5th to 9th June 2022We booked our room on Bed n Breakfast and on our check in date we wanted to cancel breakfast on last day as we were leaving early at 4amThe lady at the reception told us theres no need to cancel it as we can get a breakfast box to go and that we needed to call few hours later before our departure to remind the receptionWorking as a receptionist myself we do that all time with our guest not a big dealOn our last night we called to inquire n was answered by a very rude man who refuse to give his name he only said he is in charge n there will be no breakfast box coz he just cannot do itTried to ask why but i was told to write a comment if i want to..And that the reception is very busyAs well as reminded me that i booked for friends and family rate which is cheap...My question is If u thought its cheap then why does the hotel have it as an option then😕 we r not staying in your hotel for free..Never in my 10yrs of hotel industry and did i ever come across such rude rude staffNeeeever will recomend this hotel to any guest in my hotel industry life or anyone for that matter

Very bad stuff. Waited 2.5 hours in the evening for a Room.At the end they sent me to sleep in Hyperion with a Taxi.The fujny story is that they took the money for H4 hotel...Not recommended for work/vacation

Modern room. Free water.Gym and sauna available. Optimal location.Breakfast ok, eggs and pancakes warm, than only cold options.Unfortunately there are no cakes or other desserts available.

Overall experience was very good!Highly recommended.We took the junior suite, large room with panoramic window. 2 toilets, bath, shower, 2 sinks, floor and towels heater, 2 tvs, lots of closets, mini bar (need to pay), Comfortable bad, air conditioner, safe. (Well equiped).Breakfast is also very good.Few comments:Towels needs to be on the floor if wishes to replace.2 bottles of water not refilled for all 6 days.Soaps and shampoo finished on the first day and we didnt got new ones instead.Sauna was broken 😞

Extremely good . Location is excellent for us...I have vertigo so trip in the lift not good for me. Informed the hotel staff....we have access by stairs . Staff left the door open foe me. We are on thd 3rd floor..much appreciated..

Great Hotel. The bathroom has heated floor and really nice shower. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is about 5 minute walk from Alexanderplatz it is great for a business trip, but for a vacation trip, I would have chosen another area.The best part was the breakfast. Big variety of cheeses, sausages, breads and eggs. Wonderful and fresh ingredients.

Pretty average hotel. Had greater expectations based on the reviews. Good location. Breakfast OK. Repeatedly asked for the heading in the room to be fixed (it only blew out cold air); no sign of housekeeping (had to ask). No one asked me for a Covid pass when checking in which I found really bizarre. Water temperature in the shower fluctuates which is dangerous (this has been commented on here before but clearly ignored). Not suitable for working - very limited space and the comfort double room is small.

Good treatment at check-in and check-out.Good room service, observing each afternoon when we returned to the room that it was clean and tidy.The suit was perfect, spacious, bright, the only thing to say that we did not like it is the size of the duvets, which made us wake up every night with bare feet or our backs in the air.

It was a great stay in H4 hotel. Great location close to Alexander Platz. Great cafes near by. The staff was polite and professional. I liked my stay. Definitely I will visit H4 Hotel in my next vacation.

Upon arrival we were surprised that the parking that is offered by the hotel was full. We had to find a route to another parking by ourselves. Costs €24 a day.Secondly, the airconditioning in our room was broken. We phoned the front desk more than once, but somehow they decided it was our fault. Also they made an excuse that the airconditioning stops working if its under 20 degrees celsius outside.When we went to the front desk to complain about this, the only thing they could do for us was to give us another room the day after. They didnt want to phone a mechanic or anything. Why are we paying for an airconditioned room again?Beware, the breakfast buffet is really crowded. Why oblige to wear a mask if you allow too many guests in the buffet area?There is no stairwell in the entire building, so elevators are overcrowded in the morning. Be prepared to wait for more than 20 minutes!The lady at the buffet didnt want to let us enter at first, because she assumed that we were staying in the hotel next door???Hotel rooms arent clean and I doubt if they were cleaned during our stay.Lastly, this hotel is not near Alexanderplatz. Its a 15-minute walk to get there.4 stars are a laugh. Take your money elsewhere.

Location is excellent, you can easily access everything from there. However, I wasnt satisfied from the room cleanliness. The bed sheet wasnt clean on check-in. I had to call the room service to change it. Thus, I wasnt sure whether the room was totally cleaned before we came. Which made me uncomfortable.

Well, I stay at this hotel in July 2018 for a week about. What impressed me the most was the two staff. First was the receptionist Yasin Dumlupinar (I hope the name is correcta absolutely very polite, and gave me the room what I asked for, have a professional manners.The second staff member from the hotel was helpfully and gave all the information very elaborated, when I asked about , Berlin attractions. His name is Uwe Kamling a real gentlemen, doing his job in a professional style.The room clean, comfortable and quiet, not any loud persons or dogs around , I asked for that when I arrived and Yasin gave to me that wonderful room for one person.The breakfast, What to say? The best from the all meals.I hope to come again, when the border of Australia opens again, we are close here, we cannot travel easy, only with very special exemptions.I love to come in Germany because I am homesickI cant wait.

The hotel was great. But the staff came into the room twice at around 10:30 to check the minibar. But when I tried to yell to tell them to not come in the staff opened the door anyway and I just managed to grab a blanket in time.We later learned to use the hanger on the doorhandle. But if we are going to sleep in I dont want the risk of some staff member entering the room while I am still in bed.

Nice hotel with comfortable rooms about 5 minutes by foot from Alexanderplatz (railway station, S+U).Very friendly check-in. Covid-19 situation taken seriously, signs posted everywhere, disinfectant handgel provided at many spots inside the hotel.Room with 2 single beds; beds are a bit small, but comfortable though. Bathroom really nice.

Ideal for families, plenty of living space. Directly in the city center close to most attractions. Health preventive measure are very well in place and effective. Nevertheless breakfast is rich and enjoyable. Many thanks to the hotel staff and their cares. I really recommend.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are great and the location couldnt be better next to Alexanderplatz. The only thing I can complain about is the breakfast. Due to Covid-19 they were obligated to use more plastic than usual. Still a great hotel. Ill be coming back for sure

Not a great hotel in my books, small room, but neat and clean. Check-in was long, but we were a big group.Nicely situated if you are stsying to go to night clubs and restaurants as there are many within walking distance or short taxi rides.

Excellent hotel with rooms having everything I needed during my stay. I appreciated in particular (icoffee maker; (iiTV set with French and Engish channels in addition to German channels. Maybe add BBC and English Al Jazeera; and (iiibreakfast with good variety and with a lot of fruits and long serving time. Great conference facilities. Very helpful and nice people at reception.However, room, particularly bathroom, needs to be cleaned properly and not just superficially.Thanks

I had a lovely stay at H4. The room was clean and tidy, bed and shower really good. The service was also excellent as well as the breakfast. The breakfast is served until 10.30 and at 11 at weekends and that is great for people who want to sleep in. I will definetily stay there again.

The hotels location was great, the rooms were clean though a little small. The bed was comfy and a spacious bathroom.The staff were friendly and accomodated to our request to move to a room with a double bed. The breakfast was superb!

The hotel and room was very clean. Fabulous breakfast which was consitant every morning. Room was clean with comfy bed and amazing bathroom. The staff however, let our stay down. The are rude and very unfriendly, perhaps suits a business stay but definitely not a short break holiday.

Great location, stayed from Friday night to Tuesday morning. Very comfortable beds, great facilities in room (coffee maker and kettle)Had breakfast everyday, freshly made omelettes were delicious , good variety of foods. Would definitely recommend.

Hotel was clean and comfortable and we were well looked after by all the staff we encountered. All you can eat breakfast was ideal for a day sightseeing with both German and international food choices. The only minor criticism is that the rooms are hot at night and short of opening the window there was no way to cool them down but that is a minor blemish on an enjoyable stay.

I’m giving this hotel 2 stars because the location was great and it was a clean room.I’m ONLY giving it 2 stars because :•the rooms are TINY. I’m talking they are only meant for 1 person, not a family of 3.•You also must be VERY close and comfortable with whomever you are sharing the room with because there is only a glass, semi-see through shower like door separating the bathroom from the rest of the room. No privacy there.•it was also advertised that there was air conditioning in the room, but it wasn’t working. I asked the front desk and he said it was only available if it was 21° out- which it was but it still wasn’t on. It was so hot in our room at night. They told us to open the windows, but in order to get any breeze you have to open the curtains- which lets in all the light, noise, and smell of cigarette smoke 😩•we also had our 10 month old baby with us and I called ahead before booking to make sure it would be fine for him to be there and such- they assured us it was fine. Well the room was TINY, it did fit our pack and play but when the baby’s bedtime is 7, that means our bedtime was also 7 because there was no other space for us to go. I DEFINITELY do not recommend this place for babies or children.•lastly, the bed was rock hard and our backs hurt so much in the morning each day. :( it wasn’t a fun time or relaxing after walking the city everyday•this place wasn’t the cheapest by any means, for the price I definitely expected more, however the price is due to the prime location. I would not suggest this place to anyone other than a young single person traveling alone with a bit extra money to stay in a central location

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Perfect for a short break. Staff friendly and helpful especially with the online check in for our homeward flight!One thing to watch out for though, the shower trays are quite slippery: yes I slipped and banged my head on the way down. No damage to me or the shower, but maybe a bath mat would have helped prevent this.

I love my stay at H4 Hotels. The location is convenient with everything close by. The room is clean, well organized, and comfortable. I specifically like the strong pressure in the shower.The lobby is nice and the staff are friendly. I like their breakfast & coffee even though I didnt have a lot of time to enjoy it.I would come back to this hotel. Thank you for giving my friend & I a great experience.

Excellent hotel and conference venue, and very centrally located in Berlin within walking distance of sights of interest and restaurants. The room is clean, modern and very comfortable and the food is good. The only (minordownside is that there is street noise of passing cars and people outside that can be heard in the rooms that are overlooking the busy street in front of the hotel.

Highly recommended.Was there 2 months ago, stayed with family in two separate rooms on a b&b regular room basis.The rooms were good in size, modern and well kept. The closet arrangement though wasnt to my liking, all exposed without doors, made the room feel very messy from the moment we arrived.Also during our stay there were water heating issues and there was no notice to the guests though it was known for some time and took a few hours to fix. The cold shower and its handling is the major reason for the 4 stars review.Breakfast was excellent, a buffet with a rich variety to the taste of visitors from world wide, fresh breads, coffee, fruits&veggies, custom made eggs and much more. Quick service and very clean. Also the dining room atmosphere and decor was really nice.Overall, great stay for a fair price in the best location.

The hotel is located in a very good area, just 3 minuets of walking from the central of alexanderplatz.The rooms are decorated and modern, very big showers, we got a king sized bed so it was great :. it would be nice if there were mini bars in the rooms, but we managed without them.The staff were extremely nice and helpful, from the check-in to the check-out. They even weight the suitcases so we wont be overweight.Thank you very much hotel H4!

I was upgraded to this hotel from the neighboring H2 without any need to pay extra. The service was very friendly and helpful! The rooms were excellent for the price and the hotel even has a sauna upstairs for the customers to use! The included breakfast was very satisfactory with a lot of variety and they even have cooks frying eggs/pancakes the way you want.. All in all excellent value!

I had a great stay all in all. The service was good, the location is excellent- near many of the restaurants and bars we wanted to go to. The main point for improvement is the matrasses- I really recommend the hotel buys some new ones. I couldnt sleep the first night because it was so bad, and the staff was very kind to move us to a different room and compensate us with 2 free drinks from the bar. However, even in the new room the mattress could have been better. But other than that- great hotel!

The location of this hotel is very close to the center of Alexanderplatz which has many stores and restaurants. We liked the location! It is on a busy street but the room was very quiet and there is a huge sidewalk for easy access. The breakfast buffet was OUTSTANDING with everything you would want. The rooms were clean, comfortable and a decent size. The water pressure in the shower was great. My purse was stolen while we visited Berlin and the staff at H4 were very very kind. They helped us AND they provided us with a lovely fruit tray (to include chocolate covered strawberriesand gave a us a few dinner/drink coupons to help brighten our day after a very unfortunate event. The manager and staff were wonderful and we greatly appreciate their care and kindness during our stay.....they were great! I would definitely stay here again.

An excellent location for first time visitors to the city. The staff throughout were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel facilities were very good and our junior suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant was good. Very agreeable staff with the just the right mix of efficiency and bonhomie. The food was good but a little pricey, I suppose you pay for the convenience of not schlepping around the place looking for an eatery. Get a good deal on this hotel - thanks Expedia - and I hope you experience is as good as ours.
