Really good food makes the best gyros in my opinion
Every time I go the service is just not very good. They always seem so bothered whenever they take my order, even though I’m the only customer there every time I go. Also, when you’re ordering a gyro and fries make sure you ask for the lunch special or the price will be double, portions are okay, the food was nice and warm when I got it. Spent around 25 for two lunch specials.
MoreWe had Gyro plates and a veggie Gyro. Both were great. The Gyro plates are served like an open faced sandwich rather than fully separated. Also had some Garlic Mayo fries which had maybe a touch of spice added to the sauce. All good and tasty. Will definitely be back.
MoreReally fast and extremely good authentic food
Ive been looking for a gyro spot and this is it. The fries crispy and fresh. The gyro tho I wish it have a little more taziki sauce the meat was just outstanding
MoreGreat food hot and fresh the gyro was amazing
I absolutely love this place!! I eat the lunch specials here weekly. The food is traditional, and full of flavor. The owner is very friendly and accommodating, as well as staff. Very clean establishment as well. They have a rewards system you can sign up for, so every 6th gyro is free. Cant beat that!!
MoreI look forward to every other week when i come for lunch. I always eat the Gyro Lunch Special and get baklava to go. Gyro is jammed packed with meat and flavor. Price is amazing for such a filling meal.
MoreThe food is always so yummy! I go in for the lunch special which is a gyro with fries for $7. So good!
MoreNew to the area, staff very friendly and food was delicious. Was happy to find a place to get my Gyro fix.😁😁
MoreThis place is incredible. Im an islander and even their rice hits the spot. Dont believe any reviews about not being able to taste the meat.If youre a conscientious eater, this place is PERFECT for you. The first time, I ordered a veggie gyro. Im not a vegetarian, but it was so filling and had a wonderful flavor. This time, Im only a quarter of the way through a spicy chicken shwarma plate and garlic mayo fries. The shwarma is so full that Ive resorted to eating it with a fork, but this is in no way negative. A filling meal with a memorable taste that I will definitely buy again
MoreLess meat than expected, the fries were good but it looked like half the cheese they used to use. I know times are hard, but shorting your customers rather than raising prices is not the way to go.
MoreFantastic catered food! Ali and staff were welcoming and accomodating. Patient with us and committed to high quality, delicious food. The food was one of the biggest compliments at our event. Glad to find a gem like this in our area. Thank you Ali and crew!
MoreWe go to Gyro King fairly often because their food is always fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced.
MoreGyro served cold. Stuff grape leaves served hot. Over priced an underwhelming. Ordered " greek fries" paid a dollar extra for the sauce. Stay away. Not worth the cost.
MoreAbsolutely delicious, best Greek cuisine we have had, and its right down the road!
MoreWhere do I start The elderly woman that walked out of the back to take my order with a mouth full of food. Or the other gentleman that I had talked to 10 min Prior when I ordered over the phone. That had know idea what the order was. Maybe its the 12 frys I got for 5 dollars . This place is no longer a good value. 2 gyros and a fry 30
MoreNO PICTURE SHOWN BECAUSE I INHALED MY GYRO SO FAST!!AWESOME EXPERIENCEThe associate that helped me I think I heard her name was April? Was kind, polite, and made the best gyro I think I ever had !! She defiantly needs to be promoted, and paid properly. Keep up the good work. I will defiantly be back again.
MoreShawarma was mediocre. Pretty sure they also use vegetable oil instead of olive oil in/on the hummus as it was flavorless and clear.
MoreCheap, delicious food and great service! The portions were very large and it definitely filled my craving for great Mediterranean take-out!
MoreThe food was delicious and the staff was incredibly nice. They offered to cut our gyro in half and gave us extra salad when they knew my wife and I were splitting the meal.
MoreThoroughly disappointing. Ordered the Mixed Grill, pistachio baklava, and a nut roll. Pictured is the meat from the mixed grill. The amount was definitely not worth $18+tax. To make matters worse the chicken was dry and all the meat was bland. I like Mediterranean food for the strong & pungent flavors but the meat was bland, rice was old, the tzatziki was watery & bland and the nut roll was dry. The bread, salad, and moistness of the lamb was good but everything else was not. Additionally, went in and ordered, after a min the cashier came back out and said would be 15 mins which turned out to be 34. And with the amount and quality of food, it was neither worth my time nor the ≈ $33 I spent with tip.
MoreIt scratches the itch. My only comment is the meat to veg ratio. I wish there was more veg and less meat (for my taste). Its good. Eat here, you wont be disappointed
MoreId give it less but its not an option. The guy working the counter was rude and also tried to charge my daughter for something she didnt order. He was also wearing slides with no socks on. I will never go back here again.
MoreExcellent food! I would order ahead and pick up( the wait time is not the best ...but worth the wait. Not really a "dine-in" restaurant. They have phenomenal Gyros and if you have never had "garlic-mayo" fries. You have to try them! They are a bit of heaven. My favorite thing to order is Thier "butter chicken"meal.
MoreCouldnt really taste the gyro because there was so much salad and cucumbers on it. It took away from the star of the show and thats the Gyro. Portions size was bigger than normal. Fast and friendly service. Current menu listed 12-31-21
MoreAll i have to say is this place has great food and friendly service i had this one dish it tasted like a bigmac but in a soft peeta bread like shell which was amazing the fries were just the right amount of salty i will definitely return for more one day thanks fellas
MoreDecided to try something new and got there right as they opened. Waited an hour after we ordered while takeout was flying out the door. Finally asked for it to go. After waiting another 20 min we asked for our money back. He said it would bev30 mintes before the manager got there. Never again. I guess we have to assume they only cater to the shipyard. It will be Suzys from now on.
MoreThe gyro that I ordered was 5 inches and small portions for the price of $8.75. When i politely brought it up to owner he was very out of control and was yelling in my face. The whole disagreement was very uncomfortable and I will never return.
MoreI love this place but ever since they opened their new location their quality control has plummeted. I now have to find out if the owners working before I even order food because whoever he has hired is not competent enough to make a decent gyro
MoreThe family was so sweet. The lamb was perfection. The tzatziki sauce was more Turkish in flavor but still good. Im excited for when they open up more of their tables. Perfect for a date night or family night. Highly recommen it.
MoreGyro Kings on Callow Ave were incredibly slow. Only 2 customers in the place at lunchtime….and it took 35 min for them to make our 2 “lunch special” gyros. And they still messed the order up.
Morenot coming back. want a gyro? go to arby’s. 2 for $6 there. i pay 6 or 7 here and waited 2 hrs to get my food. i’m miserable. 105 degrees outside and they don’t even have good working air conditioning. at this point i want coupons for 5-10 free meals. this is just unreasonable. dying of heat. no food for 2 hrs. i would’ve rather eaten at my least favorite fast food restaurant and paid full price.
MoreThe girl working today, 05/08, made a small adjustment to my sandwich to fit my dietary restrictions, it was much appreciated, and very delicious. It was a very nice ending to a 6 day, 60 hr work week. Thank you!
MoreIts a shame that Kitsap only has one other place to get shawarma. The meat isnt seasoned or grilled to bring out the best color. But the falafel, rice, and salad were great!
MoreGreat, authentic gyros, according to mu greek mama, fries are hot and salty, and the pricing is better than the subway nextdoor, with 10 times the flavor. The baklava is the icong on the cake. I wish i lives closer because i would come way more often.
MoreTried the gyros, falafel, Greek fries and baklava. Gyros were fantastic, authentic lamb beef meat mix which we are used to, soft pita and all the fixings. Falafel had a smidgen too much cumin for my taste. Tahini sauce good. Greek fries feta cheese was the best feta cheese I ever tasted. Good baklava. I will return here for gyros and the feta, I recommend this place for a nice lunch.
MoreGyro and combo plates were great, also loved the dolmas and baklava. Oddly, they serve a decent Samosa. Meal size was quite large, and nobody really finished their meal. The wait was fairly long, and the counter guy forgot the order of baklava until reminded. We couldnt really tell if the guy who took the orders knew anything about the food.
MoreI know only a few places that serve good gyro- one that hits the spot when it comes to flavor/ingredients used and this is one of them. Delicious beef gyro, Greek fries, and dont forget to add a side of tatziki sauce.
MoreI have greatly enjoy the gyros and falafel! I feel those are the strongest menu items. I have been disappointed with other menu items, including the Greek fries which I expected to like. If youre looking for a great gyro, this is a great place!
MorePerfect spot for fast, affordable, gyros or falafel on the go! The place was super clean, enforcing mask protocol (praise! They have you wait for food in your car to avoid excessive contact, I really appreciated this as someone who is at higher risk. The service was impeccable, the (owner Im assumingwas warm and kind. The food was hot, fresh, and super tasty. Would definitely recommend for casual quick food!
MoreI’d been looking for a good mediterranean restaurant for a while, and this is easily now my go-to spot for cheap, tasty comfort food. Everything I’ve tried so far, the gyros, samosas, falafel and even the fries are amazing. The customer service matches the quality of their food-fantastic. They’re always super nice and patient when I can’t make up my mind. I recommend Gyro King to anyone who’s in town!
MoreMy partner is a huge fan of Mediterranean food and we have been eyeing this establishment for awhile since we moved into the area from Tacoma. Finally gave it a shot and wow were we severely disappointed.Food is way overpriced. I decided to give it a chance thinking the price meant quality food and oh boy was I wrong.2 chicken gyros and Greek Fries. The chicken is nasty, definitely not fresh, possibly not even real. I dont like wasting so I ate mine, but my partner dumped most of the chicken out of hers. We fed it to our dogs. The "Greek Fries" are literally store bought crinckle cut fries sprinkled with low quality feta cheese. Thats it.Severely disappointed. Never going back. Gyro Zone in Fircrest are still the best... So much so that i must credit them in this bad review so people know where to get some authentic gyros.
MoreDelicious gyros! Cant beat the lunch special. And very friendly service! We will definitely be back!
MoreBest Gyro Ive had in a long time. We got the dinner plate which came with the Gyro....excellent piping hot rice and a salad. Would totally recommend this place. Only negative was the soda machine which was missing flavors. Even with that.... fantastic.
MoreThis was an obligatory stop for me because, well look at my name. The food was just OK. The prices were inflated compared to some other gyro shops I’ve frequented. I can confidently say that I will never be back again l, but I’m glad I finally stopped by to see if the 4+ rating was legit. Unfortunately this place scores a 2.9 for me. Barely average. This town is definitely lacking in a quality gyro restaurant and I have no clue how this restaurant was rated as high as it was.
MoreWent here on a whim after driving by so many times. Stopped by during lunch hour and saw that this place had a $6 lunch special on weekdays, which included a gyro, salad or fries, and a drink. The gyro was very flavorful and I opted for the salad, though I have heard good things about the fries here so I kind of regret getting the salad. The two gentlemen working there were both very nice. The dinner menu looks pretty good too.
MoreMy father in law from Jersey told me to check this place out and I was not disappointed. The butter chicken and lamb gyro were both excellent and deserve the internet cred theyre getting. The staff was friendly and the service was fast for the quality of food they serve up. Since I moved from Seattle Ive been looking for a gyro place and now Ive got a great one! 5 stars and Ill be going back soon.
MoreI love their food here. Prices reasonably well especially their lunch specials. I just wished drinks come with free refills.
MoreHave eaten here a few times and the food is amazing and the price is right! Try their Gyros! Mon thru Fri from 10am to 2pm they have lamb gyro meals for $6, and it is a lot for 6 dollars.
