All the characteristics of a fast food outlet where the staff dont really care. Theyll leave half their staff out back for twenty minutes while service builds up, bump the dozen orders that have accumulated to maintain the illusion of good service time to the franchise, then forget about half the orders they bumped. I probably recommend eating elsewhere on your break.

Head to the Wintergarden, down the escalator and look to your right and there it is. Was filled with the cheaper filler items such as rice or beans and less of the meat and avocado etc. It does hit the spot when you feel like mexican and the staff are friendly, run through the process patiently and keep things moving. Sometimes service is a bit slow for a 30 minute lunch break but the place is popular and location is great.

35min wait time. Lost my order twice after the manager promised that they were making it after 20 minutes had passed.No slow cooked beef or fries available. It would have been nice if this was clarified on the app before I ordered instead of the staff having to deal with this during lunch rush.The staff were friendly and trying their best, it was obvious that corporate is a CF.

Over priced, ordered a small veggie burrito and was missing the guacamole. The taste is delicious, restaurant is under staffed in my opinion, especially for lunch time when is hectic time. Order ahead otherwise you will be waiting long time

The place used to have a lot of enthusiastic, hard working and friendly staff, now they seem to be slow, uninspired and lack of care, just saw some guy have to ask if they were open given no one seemed to be bothered to greet the guy standing at the counter.

Gyg is tasty - a little pricy - but ultimately Im giving 2 stars because two days in a row my order has just sat to the side waiting for chips for over 30 minutes. Only after Ive asked the staff multiple timewhere my order is do they finally get it sorted. Seems to be a disorderly system for tracking which orders get what.

Ive been to other GyG locations before and the food so far has always been very good. However, today my experience with the staff was not the most pleasant, I asked for a bowl order with sautéed vegetables and more than ten minutes passed while I saw how others who ordered before me received their orders, I thought it would be normal because it was lunch time, however I approached the young woman who was delivering the orders and the same one who took my order, I showed her my ticket and asked me if I had not received my order because it had already been a long time since the order, I said no and that I was sitting right in front of the counter, so I couldn’t not hear my number; she told me that they would prepare my order and she gave it to me after a couple of minutes, but not before asking me to give her my ticket, as if I had used it to ask for my order twice, this was really uncomfortable even more seeing that she did not ask other customers for their ticket.I also work in customer service and I understand that at rush hours the work can become stressful and it can happen that they did not put my order into the system or that they misplaced my order or whatever but never make the customer feel uncomfortable. Their customer service was disappointing this time and I hope this treatment was not based on appearances.

Love love love their food, been eating there for a few years now but today was one of the strangest incidents Ive ever been involved in. I dealt with a lovely young lady who took my order but told me the computer wouldnt take my order of a chicken taco, a vegi taco and a mushroom taco for 11.5 as advertised. So the manager came over and attempted to fix the problem before telling me I can either pay $5 for the mushroom taco or have something else. I told her that Im not paying $5 for something advertised at $2 and as the conversation got more and more ridiculous at her end I politely told her that "the customer doesnt need to hear about the coding issue with your computer. Just give me what I asked for at the advertised price or dont advertise it at that price then let head office know about the issue as Im sure theyd want to know about it ASAP" her response was to do as I asked. I figured she would, if it was important enough to think about later realise I was right and move on, but unfortunately she decided to spite me and not put guacamole on my vegi taco. I figured it for a genuine mistake as sometimes when we get overwhelmed we make mistakes, no big deal. But when I asked for guacamole she gave me a tub of guacamole with tomato and onion in it, gave me a death stare and told me that thats how it always comes. Young lady, not only was your entire position in this situation WRONG, youve represented both yourself, your company and your country very poorly and youd do well to conduct yourself in a more pleasant, fair and civilized manner. Not only is it illegal to attempt to overcharge someone on the price that the customer is literally looking at but its just horrible customer service and Id like an apology.

This is one of the best lunch and dinner place . Located centrally in the CBD. Good quantity and quality food at reasonable rates. During peak time you will have to wait for around 12-15 mins to get your order. Highly recommended!

There was probably one customer for each member of staff but my order took maybe fifteen minutes to get ready. There were two dudes twerking in the kitchen the whole time while people waited. Food finally ready and I got handed two of the four things I ordered, luckily I checked and fixed it. No salsas available and the food is so pricey for the small servings.

I usually have a great experience whenever I go but today I have had a terrible experience with your Wintergarden store in Brisbane CBD.I work in hospitality myself so Im usually pretty reasonable with delays as I know things happen sometimes.But keeping a customer waiting for two hrs,and not answering the phone is completely unacceptable and absolutely unprofessional conduct.If you cannot fulfill an order then cancel it, dont waste your customers time and money without even the courtesy of an explanation.Really disappointing as I have only ever experienced a high standard of care from GYG in the past.

Ordered online and set a time so that I would be able to have lunch on time, ended up waiting an extra 20 minutes seeing everyone who ordered after I arrived getting served first. I asked to cancel the order and was refused, only then did they actually start preparing it. Never ordering here again.

Wasted 25minutes waiting for scrambled eggs. This was ordered over the app and what was given a 5minute wait time took an extra 20 minutes. The food ended up coming out only barely warm and the amount of guacamole given was a tiny teaspoons worth.

I frequent the Wintergarden GYG, so I know that it gets busy at certain times during the weekday. However, lately Ive been wasting 10-15minutes waiting to pick up an order that Ive placed using the app hours ago even though the food is ready and sitting on the bench because none of the staff bother to look at you, let alone be around to assist you. This has happened multiple times.

The barramundi burrito is very good. But I received a warm corona. I asked staff. Staff said they had no cold beer. Didn’t offer any solution. It was a Saturday lunch and it wasn’t too busy. Took the joy out of my dining experience.

I eat Gomez so regularly and am always disappointed with this location as their portion size is half of other places. Very disappointed with this aspect. Took 12plus mins of waiting and then the queue was so long again that it was quicker to go buy another meal from another place.

Excellent Mexican food and good vibes. I suggest their fajita bowl with brown rice and extra barra for a filling meal. You can also get some ginger beer to make it a 5 star experience. My partner love this place. There is also an icecream parlour nearby.

I always have my lunch in this store, in my case I am vegan, my salad was perfect as always. I realised today that GYG has coffee, I decided to try it and it was so delicious and on time, also the staff is friendly and polite.

GYG has lost it’s reputation, used to have good quality and tasty food but now there is sloppy food and service. Long waiting times, even outside lunch rush hours. Staff don’t get orders correct and countless times I have watched my food get cold sitting on the counter. Once a staff member was t giving their full attention, not even facing me when I waited them to give them my cash.Burritos have become tasteless, basically full of rices, barely any beans or guac at all. All the filling is drenched in sauce and makes the burrito soggy and hard to eat.Before lunch rush I watched as my burrito sat on the counter for 5 mins, no other customers at all. Food was cold when eaten.Another incident in the early morning, my order was wrong even though I specified no egg 3 times. Still had egg when it was given to me.Ordered small fries and waited 10 mins for it,it was dissapointing to hear numbers after mine be called. They were cold and portion size was unsatisfactory.Will no longer be purchasing food from GYG again, not worth the money.

I have been to that store several times, in particular I like it more than the others. The food is always delicious, it never lets us down. The staff is super friendly. I recently tried their breakfasts and they are delicious.

I ordered a regular size burrito at the store today, it was unexpectedly small. It was the same size as my iphone 6s. Even though I asked two staffs there, they confirmed that it was the right size. I usually get so filled up after having one regular size burrito (from the store at Toowong, UQ and Indooroopilly), but not one from today, it was clearly not the same size as anywhere else. Very disappointed! You are a franchise business, if you want your customer keep coming back, watch out your quality and consistency with other stores! <The burrito in the picture is the one I bought at UQ today (18/10/2019), it is way bigger than my iphone 6s>

I was a customer today afternoon. I ordered a nachos and I found a stone in my nacho once, which hurt my tooth. I just had one bite and something was really hard and hurt. I realized that I had stone in my mouth. It was small, dark grey(almost blackcolour and too hard for tooth.I said this happening to the counter and asked for a refund or remake it. They said the aioli makes that sometimes. And they said they’ll make it again. So I was waiting for 15mins again while the other customers get their food. When I asked them for my food, they were not making mine. I didn’t get the money back and they didn’t make that again.The manager replied me very rudely. She asked me back what do you want. What a service.So, I got my money back after that. She wasn’t even listening while I was talking to her. How can you guys responsible about your food and my tooth? Does it makes sense? There was a rock in the food.terrible. The aioli makes that hard rock? Seriously? The most terrible was her attitude.The manager there (Laura?, really rude . You guys really needed to apologize first. Do not make your ridiculous excuse.

Visited the Eagle St Pier Guzman for lunch a few weeks ago and was quite disappointed in my food. Ordered at the same time as my friends and was given my food about 10 - 15 minutes after them even though I only got loaded fries. The chips were soggy and and the toppings tasted gross. Service was also average. Overall quite a bad experience and left hungry. Will not visit this one again.

We decided to try Guzmans breakfast menu, which ultimately was by far the worst decision I have made to date. Saying the wraps tasted like wet cardboard is the best compliment I can give, the salsa was so soggy the tomato pretty much liquefied upon touching it. And the chicken chorizo was as far from a poultry product you could ever imagine. Revolting with a side of integration and liquid poop. Never again.

I have been frequenting this establishment for a couple of years and by and large it is OK. They serve what they say and it is good tasting, relatively healthy food on the go. I have, however been watching this particular store go downhill for about 6 to 8 months now. I visited there a couple of weeks ago and they mucked up the order not once, or twice, but three times by the time they got it right - They were about to muck it up a fourth time before I interjected and corrected them before a further error was made. I went there today. I received my order in three parts - on each occasion of picking up the elements of my order I was told by staff to enjoy and have a great day - all without the order being completed (except by the third time, obviously). I politely told them twice that I was waiting on further elements. When I FINALLY got my order I had to ask for a bag (there were 5 packs of stuff for the order and I really could not carry it just with my hands). The serving staff gave me the bag and watched me pack it. Further the cheese sauce was so over packed, I asked for it to be wiped before it went in the bag. The serving staff gave it a little wipe and gave it back, edges dripping and sides wet. The sauce, quite expectedly, went everywhere in the bag and all over the packaging so I have had to put a towel down on my desk to eat my lunch (just a further inconvenience I now have to take the towel home to wash because there is now food all over it). I have had to clean my hands after opening the sauce package because it went EVERYWHERE. I also did not appreciate having the serving person tell me "just to be careful" with the sauce when it was obviously going to go everywhere. I tried to call the store to leave feedback but there was no avenue available to talk to a person, so I have had to leave my feedback here. All in all, very disappointing. I shall not return to this store.
