HistoryThe land where Gatwala Wildlife Park is situated belonged to Punjab Forestry Department. In 1985, the then government of Pakistan, declared Faisalabad a division and announced many upgrade projects. One of these projects was the development of a Wildlife Park in Gatwala. The overall development took 7 years and wildlife park was completed with all its facilities in 1992.Gatwala Wildlife Park is a wildlife park, botanical garden and breeding center located in the town of Gatwala in Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan. It is situated near Khurrianwala and 140 kilometres (87 miaway from Lahore Zoo.It is the largest park of Faisalabad. Gatwala Forest Park is a huge compound of more than 100 km2 that houses forest areas, parks, lakes and administrative buildings of the Ministry of Forestry, Government of Pakistan. Situated on the Shiekhupura Road / Lahore Road, its distance from the Clock Tower, Faisalabad is almost 20 km. It is situated next to many residential colonies and towns of Metropolis of Faisalabad as a result of the extreme expansion of residential areas of Faisalabad.The main attractions in Gatwala Park are the huge green parks that house a few rides for children, flowing canals across the park, bamboo growing area, large forest areas and two lakes. Boating is done in one lake, whereas the other lake is the home to many crocodiles. I loved this place, its very relaxing with a neat and clean environment. You can enjoy natural beauty here Children can enjoy seeing the birds and animals. It was one of my best experiences to visit this place and enjoy it with my family. I also love swimming and there is a canal where you can swim. I also enjoyed playing with children here in a beautiful greenery. You can visit this place with your family so that your children can enjoy the natural beauty of this park. Good place to visit specially for young kids

It was quit a good park. It was big. There were verity of places like lake, hill side, zoo, play grounds and cafee. But it is far from the main city.

The park is situated 17 km of Faisalabad along Faisalabad-Sheikhupura Road and 120 Km from Lahore. The park consists 131 acres is Reserved Forest and being managed for recreational purposes. The park was established during 1984-85 to 1991-92 at a total cost of Rs.15.676 million under a development project "Establishment of Forest Park at Gatwala". This park is a combination of cultural, educational and amusement facilities. The park provided recreational facilities at economical charges and to educate the public about forests and forest types. The main objective to establish the park is to create awareness amongst the people regarding importance of Wildlife and its role for mankind. Reintroduction of wild animals to their natural habitats and to keep wild animals and birds in relatively open, semi wild and healthy environment captive breeding of wild birds and animals, particularly endemic herbivores and galliformes.

Very nice place for mornings and evenings. Particularly for Saturdays and Sundays. Full of greenery, old big but very leafy trees, fresh water canal and very audible sounds of chirping from a variety of free-birds.... Nice park it it is a great park of faislabad but the people are not coming because of covid they should come wearing masks

The place is good for a stroll. It has a little pond for boating though the condition of the boats does not seem so good. There are canteens in there where you can get stuff to eat. There are some cages there too, most of them were empty but some had birds in them.

Its not a wildlife park. It have only 4 malnourished monkey. Broken benches. Few old broken swings. However lush green grounds with trees.

Lovely place. Lots of greenery and space for children. It is a pity that no one cares about cleanliness. People after picnics leave their trash and do not clean up. A wonderful large park with playgrounds.

Nothing Special in Gutwalla Park. U can see only Three Monkeys, some swings and slides. To eat u can find Pani Puri, Samosas etc. Its an Family Park situated on Faisalabad Sheikhupura Road.

Great place. I think its biggest park of Faisalabad and it has improved a lot now. Kids play area has been repaired, lake/boating is active now, tuf tile job is done (jogging track), paid play area is in action now, and canteen support is bit improved. Do visit WILD LIFE BREEDING CENTER, which is adjecent to the backside of GutWala park.
