Gusto Restaurant in Addis Ababa

Simply the best meal you can get in Ethiopia. Pasta is amazing. Steaks are tender and delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Service is responsive and friendly. Such a wonderful escape from the daily pressure of life in Addis.

It is marginally good. I believe it used to be better in the past (around one year ago). This time food was not as delicious as it was but still OK. Didnt like the lasagna as it seemed to be heated, not cooked. Indian food was not available at all.

Amazing restaurant! The decor is great, staff are friendly and efficient. The restaurant is Italian, and the food is delicious! It is a bit pricey, for two people we paid over 800 birr! But overall, would definitely recommend!

Never been to the restaurant but had colleagues collect takeaway many times and the quality is excellent. The pizza dough and pasta is very good and authentic.

This is a fantastic restaurant for a night out. It is one of the best restaurants in Addis for Italian food. And their desserts are to die for. The service and ambiance is terrific. I keep going back again and again especially for special occasions.

Great place for an Italian meal. Unfortunately when we went they did not have my two top choices for mains, but the third option was amazing. Well picked and trained servers with the owner ever present and in sight. Lovely experience making every effort to not be the run of the mill restaurant, rather an upscale, classy, reasonably price restaurant with extraordinary food for Addis.

Great food, service, and ambience. Would recommend.I would just be very very careful with thieves outside the restaurant. My friend and I both had pick pockets try to steal from us right outside the restaurant within 2 weeks of each other. They usually distract you on one side (e.g. grab your arm or yell at youwhile another person grabs your phone or wallet from your pocket on the other side.

A truly first-class restaurant here in Addis Ababa. The food is masterfully prepared, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is elegant. The prices are actually pretty reasonable too. So this makes this restaurant possibly the best in town. They do accept credit cards.

Very pleasant experience at Guto. Located in front of the prestigious school Lycee Guebre Mariam it certainly has a French 🇫🇷 vibe. The cuisine is perfect great desert as well. Parking spots hard to find in mid day but a night 🌃 out is unforgettable

Consistently good food, rare that something on the menu is unavailable. The pastas are fantastic, as is the steak. The caeser salad often has too much dressing - either ask them to go light or put it on the side. The lunchtime salad bar is also very good. We have brought young children there at night with no issues.

The food my be fine but the service suck big time. I guess the waiters and waitresses are poorly trained. I had to wait for 20 mins before being served. I was given a menu and I ordered tea.... she never came back after 10 mins another one came to take my order. Again the one who served me came and ask if I ordered. I told her I ordered tea... she seemed to have forgotten. So 30 mins nothing!!!! Not the first time. Surely investment in training should do! Anyway similar experience to most restaurants in Addis

The aesthetics of the place are great. Superb view and food is delicious. Menu is good if youre into Italian. Salad bar could improve but not a deal breaker. Overall great experience and the courtesy of the staff is top notch. One of the best restaurants I have ever been to, the hospitality is simply .. well.. they have been seriously trained well. It is a good place to go, especially considering the limited options in Addis Ababa. I go to the place quite often, as it is close to home and never been disappointed with the service or choices made. I would not give 5 stars somewhere else.

Very expensive for what they offer. My friend ordered fish with rice and the rice was what looks like a pudding. In short it was a rip off for what we paid

Very disappointment with the food. Not at all Gusto quality what is known. Returned the Penne Al Salmon as it had mint inside and quality was poor, even didnt touched the food it was charged. This restaurant is not to recommended. You want good quality the other Gusto is recommended.

I have been to Gusto Restaurant a couple of time, The food is Amazing European variety dish a bit expensive, but comparing the quality its good. The place is wide and lovely furnished, The location is also great, and they have underground parking

Went to Gusto with my Friend whilst I was in Addis and I must say that the service and the food was just amazing. The restaurant also have a good selection of local and imported wines. I had a chicken breast & my mate had lasagna with salmon and also we had local wine (Acacia Dry Wine). The whole set up is incredible and I would like to say thank you for our host (i think her name is Mena). Great restaurant with great people, food and fantastic win selection.

An amazing restaurant well decorated, pleasant atmosphere.I enjoyed my overall experience but I really would like to emphasize on service time it took almost an hour and a half for our food to get there tho the food was worth the wait it is still not acceptable! Friendly and well mannered, professional staff! Compliments to the chef awesome food!
