Gustav Wasa Restaurant in Korsholm

5 ruokalajin joulumenussa ja juomapaketissa hinta/laatusuhde ei ollut edes lähelle kohdillaan. Myös tarjoilu pöytäämme unohtui kesken menun pitkäksi aikaa. Odotuksiin nähden erittäin suuri pettymys.

Its a nice place to have dinner with your colleagues and friends. Prices are affordable and food was delicious. The place was very cold. I personally think there should be heaters floating around tables to warm the area.

We went to celebrate our anniversary. We ordered the 7 courses menu and was really good, great experience, super nice service, delicious 🤤 Its a must if youre visiting or living in Vaasa.

Kerrassaan murea pihvi ja hyvä bearnaisekastike päivän pikalounas-vaihroehtona. Hienoa että lounasta saa tätä nykyä GW:stäkin. Paikka kuuluu ehdottomasti Vaasan Top 3:een hejmin ja Strampenin kanssa.

Gw7 täytyy kokea. Joka kerta niin hyvä, ihania makuja, kauden lähi raaka-aineita. Kokkikin tuli jutustelemaan, joka oli kiva plussa.Palvelu on erinomaista ja ihana tunnelma.Ainoa miinus tuli olutvalikoimasta ja siitä, että vettä joutui pyydellä moneen kertaan.

Heikko kotiruokalounas. Olen käynyt nyt lounastamassa kolme eri annosta. Arvosanat annoksille 3/5, 2/5 ja 3/5. Aina jotain vähän pielessä. Joko liian suolaista, liian etikkaista, liian jotain. Tasapainoisuus puuttuu. Kaiken huippu oli ribsit, jotka olivat aivan liian jänteisiä ja sitkeitä. Lisäksi kastike peitti kaikki muut maut alleen. Puolet "lihasta" jäi syömättä. Kun tarjoilija kysyi maistuiko ja kerroin totuuden, vastauksena oli hiljainen "okei...". Toki täydet 14€ veloitti. Salaattipöytä on heikko ja ei ole tilaa laskea astiaa kun haluaisi levitettä sipaista leivän päälle. Lähes huomaamattoman pieneen salaattipöytään ei ainakaan ekalla kerralla ohjeistettu edes menevän, vaan huomasin sen vasta kun olin jo maksamaan menossa.

Their special 3-course winter meal for 35 euros was a great offer and delicious! Super nice staff.

Ate 7 test meals. It was delicious. Recomnend

Really good food and theme

Wonderful food, atmosphere and customer service! I had the GW7 tasting menu and it definitely exceeded my expectations. One of the main courses (reindeer filletthat was served was particulary good, the meat was cooked to absolute perfection. I think the food was fairly priced considering the quality. I will certainly visit Gustav Wasa again and I would recommend the restaurant to anyone who is looking for a fine dining experience!

This is a classic Vaasa restaurant and probably the best one in town. Two sections available - a gastropub and fine dining. A la carte has good options and GW7 set menu is toward more sophisticated items / small plates. Good cooking takes place here and servers are willing to do the best. Some interesting paired wines also available.

They had a nice and Cozy place to dine. The waiters were very welcoming and quite friendly. The food was excellent. I recommend this place.

3.12 2019 åt vi med familjen en helt otrolig middag på restaurangen. Älgfilén var mör och saftig, ugnsgrönsakerna läckra och potatispurén jättegod. Såsen var pricken över i. Har aldrig ätit så god sås och så gott kött. Servicen var något utöver det vanliga. Fin, familjär stämning på en smakfullt inredd restaurang. En eloge till kocken och de som serverade!

Mycket fin kväll på Gustav Wasa , Som present till vår bröllopsdag/ fick vi en 7 rätters middag som i praktiken var en 9 rätters middag matkomponeter som man aldrig förr sett och alra minst smakat förstummade våra smaklökar. Ett stort tack till kockarna och den ypperliga servitören som skötte om oss till full belåtenhet han pratade ett flertal språk tom Närpesiska 10+

What a luxury to have GW in Vasa. Cozy, quiet and some what serious environment. GW offers seven course experience, themed according to the given season. Will definitely visit again.

Very good restaurant, nordic food done well. Excellent straff and the desserts were also very good. Highly recommended.

The ambience was nice, though the choice was limited, the food was some of the best in vaasa. The price is high, but on special occasions, its worth it.

We went there for the tasting menu for 69€ which is a bit overpriced for the quality of food. The ingredients is all fresh and great but the pairing wasnt there, very little taste in sauces to tie different the elements together. The theme was also very unclear. Cheese and desert was a big let down and the service was a bit slow and not to familiar with wines. All in all I would try it again but not the tasting menu, and I would hope that the single dish is better. The atmosphere was quite nice and set a nice vibe to the evening

Laadukas ja hintava paikka. Tyyliin sopii, että syö alku- pää- ja jälkiruoan, jotta saa vatsansa täyteen. Hyvä viinilista.

Excellent food and unique dining experience

Completely own experience in Vaasa dining. We ate their 9 course menu which was super interesting ans delicious. Price level is high but so is the quality from food to service and drinks. The restaurant sits in the basement floor of one of Vaasas old and recognised buildings, Kurtenia building, which was built in 1904. Highly recommended for fine dining in Vaasa.

Upea paikka, loistava palvelu, uskomaton ruoka ja sitä täydentävä viini. Rennolla otteella palveltiin ja kaikki toimii hienosti. Asiakkaana voit vain nauttia kokemuksestasi. Ei tarvitse jännittää, miten homma pelaa ja onko ruoka hyvää. ON!Näin omalla rahalla maksavalle hiukan kallis paikka, mutta....
