Beatiful from the outside and Much more inside where Amir Temur graves is.

Fascinating. Even inside is very beautiful. Visited it at sunset time and it was very empty. I heard that it gets very crowded in the morning

The most important place to visit, Amir Temur Mausoleum reflect the history and all the ups and downs, Temur or Timur is a national icon for Uzbekistan, his adventures were, though hated in many countries, appreciated here, its better to engage a guide to understand better.

Ticket price is very high ,should be half of what I paid Worth seeing though

Where Amir Temur was buried. Compared to the other mausoleums that tourists visir, this one is the most special because its laden with gold.They were undergoing construction when we visited.There are QR codes that open up to an app so you can read more about the place.As we were exiting, this lady called out to us saying that she was gonna show us an underground tomb.She says its closed to public, but there was a gate that opened to a tunnel. That has now become a souvenir shop, where she sold us some souvenirs. Haha

It’s a beautiful mausoleum with a gold colour inside, different than others in the city. There’s very minimal information about the site. A guidebook or tour is helpful to understand what you’re seeing.

Impressive and long standing monumental grave of the Tamerlane up until his grandson Ulugbek, the last practically of the dynasty and the empire before it cramble. The main building dome as depicted in the photos is under maintenance but the graves are visitable. After seeing the city make there your day conclusion,in the final resting place of the Tamerlane. As all attractions cards are accepted in the cashier and no cash needed.

Little museum that has Amir Temur tombs besides others. Nothing much to see compared to other larger museums. 1 hour or less would be more than enough to visit.

One of the top sites to visit in Samarkand after The Registan. The mausoleum and burial place of Tamerlane.His black tomb lies in the centre of the mausoleum. Supposedly there was a curse on anyone who interfered with the tomb. Two days after Soviet archaeologists opened the tomb the Nazis launched Operation Barbarossa causing Stalin to ask he be reburied immediately.

Nice place...outside nothing special compare to Registan but inside is beautiful...you can sit next to the tombs and listen to prayers of locals...

The tomb of Timur is full of legends.Onyx stones are impressive.I propose to get a guide (they are all over the placebecause Uzbeks are very proud of this part of history.

I think everybody should visit and learn about Timur and Uluğ beg.If you like history jus go there and sit and read poem of Poe the one about Timur .

The magnificent mausoleum of one of the most famous commanders of the Middle Ages, Amir Temur, the founder of the Timurid dynasty. According to legend, his grave was opened by order of Stalin on June 21, 1941. The next day, Germany attacked the USSR.

Itself a great place, the great Amir Temur Mousoleum, enjoyed every moment specially thework of art inside the tomb. The weather of Samarkand is very pleasent that time.

Beautiful mausoleum for Amir timur. Often overlooked. Shining like a beacon at night. Even though the interior is not gold plated like the one in Registan, the lights and sandstone colours made it appeared so. Definitely worth a visit. Walking distance fr Registan anyway.

This a good place to start your exploration of the historic sites if Samarkand. It is not as big of a circus as the famous Registan, but the decoration is no less impressive. The tomb room is particularly noteworthy and awe-inspiring.

Timur we are taught was a blood thirsty conquerer but when you see the beauty he created, it makes you wonder what he was all about really.

Entry fee was 25,000 som per person. Certainly worth it, the mausoleum is beautiful from outside and inside. Doesnt require long time to explore, we spent around 20-30 minutes here.

The mausoleum of Timur in Samarkand, definitely worth the visit. It occupies an important place in the world history and its Architecture is impressive.

As all the historical places in UZBEKISTAN this monument dedicated to TIMUR family is impeccably maintained with beautiful gardens, flower beds and walkways. it is fascinating to see how UZBEK people respect their history.

Amazing!! Must see, beautiful historical building. We got there towards end of the day and even got a free tour with a young guy who wanted to practice his English.

Gorgeous mausoleum where some of the greats are buried. Inside is an informative map detailing Timur’s many conquests, and the mausoleum itself is breathtaking. There were many people praying here when we went, it was such a special atmosphere. Entry was 22000som per person. Well worth the visit.

Important mausoleum built by Timurs descendants housing the tombs of Timur and several other important folks. Heavily restored tonite final glory, showcasing excuisite Islamic architecture and art. The majolica tiles ad mosaic artworks, especially in the facade ad in the interior of the mausoleum is simply stunning. Spend some time chilling out in the court yard and soak in the atmosphere. Has a working madrasah / mosque incorporated into complex.

The first time I visited stayed near 1 hour admiring the details inside. It is an astonish masterpiece of the medieval East where the leader Amir Timur is buried. This is a must if visit Samarkand.

Beautiful glazed tiles art on main entry and on minerates. The dome of main hall is decorated with Golden art work and is in excellent condition even after a long time. Must visit place in Samarkand.
