Great food we ordered Schnitzel it was delicious.Good value for money.Friendly staff.
Went for the monthly pagan dinner and impressed is definitely one of the words Id use, great service, brilliant time management of having nearly 50 ppl eat round the same time, staff know when to crack the whip and when to have a laugh with us was impressive!
Delicious Parmi with pineapple and perfect chips. Kid’s parmi and kid’s pizza were both generous sizes + delicious.
Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Lacks a bit of atmosphere but overall good place to hang out with mates.
Staff, food and atmosphere was fantastic
Good food, great service, very friendly and helpful owners. I will plan to return soon.
Staff great. Meals were yum. Recommended.
Far too noisey for group functions
Good service great meal.
Had lunch here. What great value and beautiful food .Nice beers on tap and the publican was super friendly
Nice pub.Friendly and welcomingGood meals
Lovely atmosphere. Responsible publican. Nice local pub. Very clean n covid safe
Ive yet to be impressed with the meals. They are okay; I wouldnt go here specifically for the food. But its a nice tight pub with plenty of outdoor space. Free function rooms as well. Also, cider on tap, which I appreciate.
Cheap beer, good selection of pub food, great that you can sit outside in an undercover section.
Could have been a quaint old cozy place but we didn’t feel comfortable, or welcomed...There were only 3 tables inside, all taken and only 2 outside, also taken.... (the upper deck hadn’t been setup at 4.30 yetwe asked about seating upstairs and were told ”its for dining only” (how did the lady know we weren’t in for dinner??).After a while my wife and son ended up leaving because they didn’t want to stand up. I was halfway my Guinness and eventually one table became available outside... but it was wet and sticky from old beer/food, ‘cause it hadn’t been cleaned yet!The old man had only managed to set up a couple of tables on upper deck outside and ran out of breath and came sitting inside...Due to lack of seating, it soon became too unbearable to sit outside, with the old cigar smoke, so I left, but not before going to toilets - and what a disaster!!There was a rubbish bag in middle of floor, with all rubbish from urinnols spilling out and vomit all around...It seems jobs are started and left halfway to start another! It’s when I noticed a nice and quiet room with tall tables setup as well dining tables, just behind the bar (where’s the male toilet). Why the lady at bar, didnt tell us to sit there? She knew we were struggling to find a place to sit (we asked twice), so we all could order drinks and nibbles etc.We were looking for a cozy place to have dinner, but obviously they didn’t want our money. Perhaps anything else apart from pulling beer is too much effort?P.S. looked around all the way out and in the bar and couldn’t find any gel!!And no need to make up stories/excuses as I shared the pics of the above😉
Had a great time. Good beer and magnificent pizzas😃👍
Meal was a good pubmeal staff wer nice the room well thats a definite let down
Excellent meals, friendly staff also fantastic venue for families
Good range of beers including tap rotations, good food, free meeting/ function room, friendly staff and warm open fire.
Excellent food, Scallops were amazing, beef burger great and drinks excellent. Highly recommend.
Really enjoyed the casual atmosphere having a couple of quiet ones at the bar by the fire. Excellent spot recharge after exploring Launceston and City Park.
Hard working bar and kitchen staff. Cosy log fires and easy parking.
Very outdated dining, wasnt very appealing, there was a live band downstairs which were horrible and so loud we couldnt even have a conversation up stairs while having our meals. My partner ordered the pizza and it was literally like a flatbread tortilla base, wasnt very nice.
We were recommended to have dinner by a local. We had a good feed. No problems there. My wife had to ask for toilet paper and hand towels as the ladies toilet was missing both. That alone is very disappointing especially as every place should be on top of sanitisation. We then Ieft as the person who ended up putting toilet paper into the ladies came out and served cutlery to other diners without washing her hands. Classic.
Great place for a meal. The cuisine is modern, fresh and creative. They also have great bands on.
Great atmosphere, fabulous owners and fantastic food.
Friendly service. Excellent Pub meals. Decent beers.
Clean room clean sheet and a well made bed.The building its self is rather run down and needs some serious work,But if you want a clean bed and to meet people you wont be let down
Easy to get into, food is good quality, what you ask for is what you get. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
Great pub - food was awesome with huge serves. Calamari and Halloumi were excellent. Staff super friendly - would definitely recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Nice little spot next to the park, few interesting brews on tap. Nice quick lunch feed and paddys day festivities cant go wrong! A bit run down but its Tassie what do you expect. Go in and enjoy cause we did. Cheers!
Very helpful..great staff relaxed atmosphere we had a great night food was good too
Had a great night at the gunners was a sat night & they had a function on upstairs & in the bistro but had no probs making us welcome in the bar in front of an open fire on a cold night had a great meal friendly service great place for a casual drink & a great meal in a welcoming atmosphere thanks guys 😊
One of the best local pubs in Launceston, No Pokies, Zero keno or Tab, supporting local breweries and good old fashioned conversation.
Fantastic.welcoming. great drinks range and menue. Had a table of 6.. Great time had by all.Highly recomended.
This quaint little pup, Sits across from city centre park and although from outside doesnt look like much, the beers are cold, the variety is great, the food is delightful and the staff are great. On Friday they have a but of a raffle for food which is also fun. This is now my new local.
Great place to go for a beer or a wine after work. Friendly pub service!! Great food. Highly recommended, all round great pub!!!
Really nice old school pub. Really nice environment with friendly staff and a good selection of beers on tap.
The manager here was fantastic - we dropped in for a couple of drinks before heading for BBQ across the road. Staff knew everything about the local beers and were very friendly. Quite the "locals" pub but very friendly to us being from QLD
Small pub with free function rooms upstairs. Pub meals available. Friendly staff. Recommend the chocolate beer here for a quiet hometown pub treat.
Lovely cozy atmosphere, Friendly and helpful staff, Fantastic and affordable prices, Great beer and the Huge meal portions were absolutely satisfying. All in all a Awesome experience and we will definitely be back to drink and dine again. 👍
Really good, we were looking for a pub meal and a beer or two. They are quite small, their staff are friendly and they have a great range of beers. They also have live music, didnt appeal to us at the time, they have two areas though. They had the footy on!!
This is a classic little pub on the corner just off City Park. I really enjoyed my thick cut chicken schnitzel, and the boys loved their parma. It was very quiet when we were there. Theres both indoor and outdoor seating, enabling you to enjoy the sunny days.
Fantastic little pub, in a quiet location. The food, service and icey cold beer were a godsend after a big night on the sauce. Would definitely recommend this pub to anyone looking for a wholesome and hearty counter meal in Launceston.
