Favorite place in Orillia to get Chinese food 😋 the owners are super friendly and seem, the food is AMAZING! Excellent.Also come here for the Canadian breakfast. 10/10 recommended the eggs benny!!

They only Supply take out but theyre still as good as when I was working there four years ago

Tastes great and cooked to perfection. Ordered Shanghai Chicken Lo Mein and Cantonese Chicken Lo Mein. The portions are great, two people can share one if both have medium appetite. The owners are very friendly, we arrived 15 mins before closing but they still took our orders.

Fast efficient service. Reasonable prices.Excellent menu.

Most dishes here are the best in Orillia. Recommended.

The food was good and large portions. Compared to Toronto, its not as authentic but thats okay. A little disappointed that BBQ Pork Fried Rice was soy sauce based and dry yet other pics showed the white egg fried rice style. The soy sauce based Beef Fried noodles were kind of bland and plain and also very dry. The shrimp with Snow peas was my favourite. The chicken corn soup and hot n sour soup was good. Vegetable spring rolls decent. Good price for big portions so it was a lot of food. The owner was very nice and explained items over the phone and nice at pick up.

Best Chinese food in Orillia, we had to move out of town due to an a career opportunity, we miss the amazing food and the exceptional service. Candy and the family treat everyone like a family member. Now everytime we get to Orillia we cant wait to chow down with a pot of chinese tea, havent had a dish that wasnt totally yummy! Great tasting food and reasonably priced

Was told was good. But food was tasteless. Did not get plum sauce for egg rolls. Asked for lemon sauce on the lemon chicken. It wasnt soggy but not taste to lemon sauce. Wouldnt go back again

Gong Ho has always been an excellent dining experience whether it was a Canadian Breakfast or Asian dining. Todays order was quick safe and efficient.

Hands down the best Chinese food in Orillia. Try the Shanghai Noodle and General Tso Chicken. You wont be disappointed.

Disappointed with the food, first time we tried it. Tossed the broccoli, and rest of veggies out dated. Beef in black bean sauce was tough, rice not at all tasty. We were looking forward to a good new years eve dinner but cant say anything good about it. Too bad, drove from midland based on reviews. 100 buck later....

The food was excellent, high quality and reasonably priced. We will make this out go to spot for Chinese food.

I have been supporting this restaurant from the day they opened. Always enjoyed their food. We had take out last night and as usual the portions were ample and the taste, textures and recipes were excellent. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was about 2hrs after eating the meal my wife and I must of had 2 ltrs of water each. I am not sure if they use MSG in their dishes but I have never been so thirsty after eating their food. We were up all nite getting water. I hope they read this and reduce either the MSG or salt when preparing their dishes. I am writing this the morning after and we are still trying to to rehydrate. And I still havent had to use the bathroom.Parched

By far the best Chinese restaurant in Orillia. Make sure you get the Chef Recommendation combo at the back of the menu - the fillet beef is great and the price of the combo is very affordable.The service is great as well.

Full disclosure up front: I am a recent former employee.This restaurant is AWESOME....great Chinese food, & a really good Canadian breakfast as well. And the waitresses I worked with take care of their customers really good. Theres also a lot of specialty Chinese dishes you cannot find at a Chinese buffet restaurant.Also, if you care about supporting local independent restaurants vs chain restaurants, reviewers should know that Patrick & Candy are GREAT bosses to work for. Patrick & Candy are very fair, easy to get along with, & I got plenty of work hours & paid well. They also gave their employees gift cards for Christmas, & give back to the community & support local charities. I worked for them for 3 1/2 years, & will miss working with my bosses & coworkers very much, & wish Patrick, Candy & all the staff best wishes for the future.Go in & try Gung Ho out. You will be pleasantly surprised by the food quality, portion sizes, & GREAT waitresses to serve you.

First time here with my wife. Ordered the dinner special, General Tao Chicken and Beef Pad Thai. Absolutely spectacular taste. Tender meat and crisp vegetables. Services was excellent. Very friendly and courteous staff. Highly recommend this place if youre into Asian flare food.

Came in for brunch. Had the special "spinach and feta omlette. The home fries were deep fried...... Which is OK - a few places are doing it like this. I sat down at a table that was not cleaned off yet. A server came immediately, cleaned it off and asked for my order, even though the restaurant was quite full.The coffee and the omlette were both excellent.Despite of the considerable size of the restaurant, it still has a homy feeling to it. The service was rather swift today.Getting the coffee topped up, was a little difficult. She eather came when the cup was still full, or not at all, when it was empty. I do not blame her though, as here were lots of customers to be looked after.If you want to leave, after your meal, you have to know your table number and walk to the front counter. You wont get a bill at your table. Actually, this makes things so much easier, and seems to work quite nicely.Big drawback is though, that there is NO free internet. We ate here with a church group before and while it was good, it wasnt great. But they were serving upwards to 20 of us at once. Tonight we ordered takeout for two. WOW, BEST (CHICKENEGG FOO YOUNG IVE EVER HAD, EVER!Fresh, tender, moist, flavorful with out being over powering gravy. WOW, so good. Their sesame chicken was the same. Limony with a little tartness, but not overpowering for the chicken.My wife thought the won ton soup was a little strong flavored, but the tipical watered down, left in the soup warmer all day taste definitely wasnt an issue. I thought it a refreshing change to have a flavorful soup broth. The actual won tons were again fresh and flavorful. Im not prone to do reviews, but after such a fantastic meal and attentive staff, I had to say something.I also read some reviews that said the restaurant was dirty and made them wonder about the kitchen. I would balance those comments with this: Ive owned and ran a cleaning service for going on 20 years now. That restaurant is not dirty, a little out dated and could use a freshen up, or face lift; but its definitely not a dirty establishment. Not even dusty, in an area where a lot of construction is going on around them.IM IMPRESSED 🤗

One of the best breakfast places in Orillia, come early on weekends because there is always a wait. Great prices for great food. Tasty Chinese food too, we ordered a couple of hot pots and they were awesome, lots of flavour and not greasy.

Delicious food, big portions. We called in a large order for take out. Food was hot and ready for us when we picked it up. Staff was friendly and greeted us upon our arrival. I normally dont leave a tip for take out, but the staff was really friendly I chose to make an exception on our visit. Will come back here again.

Not good, if you want excellent Chinese food, go to Royal Oak,just down the road. The egg rolls are much better along with the rice and chicken dishes. Service was very good though.

Gung Ho Canadian & Chinese is my all-time favourite chinese food restaurant in Orillia (and area). I have tried every chinese food restaurant in Orillia and there is not a single chinese restaurant in Orillia that can offer a greater variety of food throughout the day than Gung Ho. I have been a loyal customer for years and there is always something different to try. Although, I simply cannot get enough of their lemon chicken, its delicious!

Its not fancy but it sure has a great breakfast. The service is fast and friendly. The food is plentiful and the coffee keeps coming. I can only comment on breakfast because thats the only meal that I have eaten there. Its a homey economical way to start your day.

Very friendly, on site, family run local restaurant. They are customer oriented and if you ever have an issue just ask for Patrick or Candy and they will make it right. Staff seem happy which says alot. We get the chinese and go for breakfast very often. Food is very good and reliable.

Great service and delicious food. Try the beef filet done Chinese style. It comes streaming and smoking on a iron pan. So yummy.Reasonably priced.

The food is great, good portions to the price. They need to talk to their staff On being more professional. our server asked us if we wanted menus while taking our drink order and walked away with the 2 menus in her hand, our order came to us wrong and while in the middle of asking how it was she stopped mid conversation and started talking with a table of friends who came in. Food wise its great but the continual bad service is enough to make us want to eat else where or start requesting to not sit in her section

Always great value for your money and the food is very good. Just went here to order Husbands Birthday meal to find it closed!! Thought they were open 7 days a week, now we will try Golden Wok hope to have better luck💔 Monday April 24

My favourite authentic chinese food location in Orillia! The best flavours on every meal, with authentic top Chinese cooks and low prices make it my best choice to dine out. If they redecorated the dining area, it would make it so much nicer. However, because of their good food, they have a solid, constant clientele. Highly recommend the food to anyone!

This place is excellent. Fast and friendly service. I had the dinner special. Spring rolls tasted great. Soup was very tasty. I had sesame chicken which was deep fried ans reminded me of candied meat. Delicious. Highly recommend giving it a try.
