Love the place great location with amazing restaurants 👌🏾
My kind of facilities. I like its atmosphere and their service
Always nice to visit. Rooms are clean staff super professional and friendly
One of the oldest and best Hotels in Bahrain, special mention to the restaurants, the finest in each cuisine
Really nice hotel, swimming pool and many restaurants in the hotel.
I cannot share much as I didnt visit the hotel instead their liquor store was housed with a good and budgeted selection of drinks.
I have stayed in this hotel once. And i will never repeat. So unprofessional and rude people in the reception. They were arguing all the time about anything. For example I asked one of them to see the room, she could say we can not sir it is not allowed and that’s all but instead she replied no it is not your right and the guests will not accept you to enter the rooms after they are cleaned and if you want you can book without seeing the room or look for another hotel!!! What a savage reception!!
Nice hotel , good service 💓thank u
A nice and cool place to have dinner and enjoy your business trip.
The washroom had stains on it and wasnt properly cleaned.Overall good breakfast and experience.
Have had a great stay so far! Very close to all the restaurants and bars in Adliyah and all the staff are very welcoming. Jahir with housekeeping made sure I was always stocked with any room amenities and made sure the room was always made up well.
Excellent as always. They have recovered well from covid and service is as good as always has been
Outstanding hotel and will keep visiting it every time I’m in Bahrain

Nice hotel , perfect hospitality from the front desk specially from Sariya thnx for everything i love gulf hotel and i love everything in it 😍
Everything was nice service, room, and swimming pool was the bast part and have many restaurants there from many countries it was amazing experience for us thanks for all
Come and see my boy Michael Dsouza at the pool bar!!! He is an amazing bartender and he has great customer service skills. He remembers my drink, my room number, and my name. He definitely made my stay at the gulf Hotel very pleasant. Also dont forget about Wude!!! She is amazing. Good times only
Enjoyed the sherlock homes pub. Peaceful place with good air con where you can enjoy a pint
I was always hesitate to make a review. When i come to bahrain i never booked in any other hotel but the gulf main reason was the staff. I been booking since 2019 and even booked this year for my birthday in February, unfortunately not only they seem to be now understaffed but they didn’t have a system for a long time. And now they always overbook !! all of my visit this year only one time i got the room I wanted, the rest i had to share a bed with my friend. My last visit they again overbooked they found me a room in smoking area I requested none smoking!! I wanted to enjoy my eid holiday but it was ruined. And this time with a staff, the front office lady manipulated me !!! Start going around circle on about the room and end up giving me a room I didn’t want to move the line and when i asked her just to be sure is it the one I wanted she lied while smiling saying yes, the room smelled like smoke and my friend agreed and she added a bed which was hard and worse than a hospital bed. Again endup sharing the bed with my friend. Request housekeeping to clean they seem to forget until I reminded them after returned from my outing and had to stay awake late since the housekeeping was cleaning loudly. Unfortunately this my last visit am disappointed, we even talked to management before and promised change. I know my review won’t matter to them but new bookers needs to know. A review sent with concern that will never be addressed.
I will not book again in this hotel … Very slow room service .. They clean the room and leave the bathroom without towels and when we asked them for the fifth time they bring the towels , then the water is leaking , they said at 2 am we must change your room or close the water !!! How we will wash or use toilet !! When they changed our room the safe was not working at the second room !!! We are handling the situation!! They didn’t give us something that satisfies us like other respectful hotels of make upgrade for the stupid rooms !!! I think they know it’s the worst 2 rooms and they gave us .. Not Thank You AT ALL !!!
Fantastic hotel. Great service. Great location. Fancy. Highly recommended.
Checkin and checkout were fastGood location and parking is availableGood rooms size and facilitiesThe swimming pool was perfectThere exist many restaurants with reasonable pricesSome facilities needs to be renovatedThere were no tissues in the roomNo shataf in the roomsFor a 5 star hotel it is good value for money and recommended
The rooms were excellent we came back after 5 years since the gulf hotel was our honey moon hotel when we got married and sure enough we were not disappointed everyone went out of their way to make our 5th anniversary special.we will keep coming back.
I’m old member in at the gulf hotel and it’s really disappointed they fix cheap looking FLOOD led light beside the pool even its not fix atmosphere of the pool plus it’s flickering you can see the different in the old lighting and this one
I was there for nvtc graduation ceremony that took place at the conventional venue, the place was really nice and suitable for such events.
Has a wide selection of restaurant’s and the outdoor pool area is really nice. I prefer the apartments to the rooms.
Oldest 5 star property in Manama and it shows in the outdoor facilities and resturants. Bars need serious uplift and live weekend entertainment needs help. Superior rooms are excellent, but could do with updated AV tech. TV channels in rooms could be improved. Service & maintenance staff are excellent. Buffet breakfast has a wide variety: over-easy fried egg cooked on a bed of chopped tomatoes was unique and delish - chef, take a bow. Airport pick and drop service was first class in everyway.
I want to make it clear that the 5 stars are only for the service we received from Monia at the front desk-We had actually come to her with a complaint. Despite this, she still greeted us warmly and provided excellent service. She immediately rectified the issue, and was so kind and professional throughout. Whenever we passed by the lobby and she was there, we could always see her working hard. She definitely made our experience at the hotel that much better.I would also like to give credit to the room service/housekeeping staff, as they were also so polite and very quick to tend to our needs.
Wooowww one of the best steak night I ever had … clean and tidy environment… excellent knowledgeable staffs and Manager Mr.Jithu is an amazing guy… delicious food .. verity of foods ..No words to disturb… Reasonable price for the quantity and the quality…. Definitely a recommend place for family and friends… see you soon Mr.Jithu …
Wonderful experience of staying in Gulf Hotel, location amazing, place amazing, rooms amazing, food really good. What I didnt like is reception people. They were standing buy not serving guest , very slow, they booked me under different name .I was really disappointed with so many mistakes they made .Overall experience was good except , non professional approach of the people at reception.
Many construction going on but good place to stay! Also just right side building they have departure PCR testing hospital. Just 2 min walking.
We will continue returning Many problems with our stay, but management was excellent in handling them. The facilities are very nice. Our toddler spent two full days playing in the kids pool area and since food and drinks are available poolside, it was enjoyable for the whole family. Our future stays in Bahrain will be at this property. Speaking of food and drinks, they were reasonably priced, which is something to be grateful for, also.
What an unpleasant experience! The hotel needs to get over the fact that they were the “first 5 star hotel in Bahrain” they’ve done nothing to maintain that status.. the elevators don’t even function properly! As it for it being called a family-friendly hotel, that’s a lie! People are casually smoking/vaping away wherever they want..there’s no designated area, we could even smell the smoke in our room and we had a baby with us!There wasn’t an elevator from main lobby to reception to take the stroller up and down… NOT EVEN a ramp to get to the pool with the stroller, total rubbish! Also, please fix the electrical outlets so guests can at least charge their devices!Definitely not retuning to this hotel and wouldn’t recommend either!
Beautiful, historic, nice vibes all around. For the price, this was an excellent stay. Pool area and rooms are all good. Beds were a little bit hard/uncomfortable, but that is my only critique. Will be coming back soon.Pro tip: Use the spa facilities. They are brand new and exceptional. Most guests dont know that they have free access to the sauna and hot and cold baths.
I tend to give the benefit of the doubt in my reviewa to each establishment i visit. However, with this hotel its a hard thing to do to do.If you are a person with children with strollers , *DO NOT* come to this hotel. There is no ramp for strollers in the hotel, so i had to carry my 2 children strollers everytime i went in or out of the hotel. Also, pool area has no ramp or elevator, so again i had to carry the strollers a looong stairs.Another issue , if you are a person driving your own car, *DO NOT* stay in this hotel. There is no dedicated parking for guests staying in, so i had to park far from hotel entrance and carry my children all the way to hotel. Also, the area has very high traffic, so everytime getting back to the hotel at night is a nightmare!!Final issue is house keeping , i had the sign clean my room for 2 days and i even called the reception to ask specifically for house keeping before going out , but surprise surprise, no house keeping. So in summary:1- No wheel chair or stroller access to hotel and swimming pool, had to carry my children strollers everytime i go out.2- location has very high traffic , so expect spending time everytime to get to hotel with your car.3- House keeping is not good4- No electricity plug next to bed in case you need to charge your phone. So if you are okay with the issues mentioned above, this hotel ambiance, restaurants and pool area is great. Other wise go somewhere else.
The best places for me in Bahrain and wonderful staff who are trained and know the art of dealing with guests -in terms of the taste in the food without complacency, the most wonderful food when compared to the other largest hotels in BahrainPls keep it up 🌹🌹🌹

I enjoyed my stay there only thing that needs improvement is placement of security guards , Because they have two entrances one from front and one from side of you go from side there is no one to guide you for Parking and the problem is google map takes you to the side entrance only.
Embrace the spirit of Ramadan at Khaimat AlKhaleej Ramadan Tent!Make it an evening to remember with family and friends, withan impressive variety of food and amazing live entertainment.Enjoy a spectacular Iftar selection for only BD 21
Liked the stay but the only issue was is that they dont have water pipe (shatafin the toilets .. when we requested them to fix one for us they said the toilets are not built for this .. they can change the room for us with a one that has shataf (but they are fully booked)! .. other than that the saty was amazing and the breakfast was delicious with variety of choises
You can tell that this USED to be a 5 star hotel but have failed to renovate it at all. My lamps are broken, the furniture is old, the fridge doesn’t stay cold, the restaurant and interior decor is subpar. They also have loud receptions and parties outside by the pool and I can hear the music blaring in my 8th floor room. Some nights it has lasted until 2 AM.
Our favorite place to stay in Bahrein. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Food (breakfast, lunch or diner buffetis extensive and good quality. Also there are quite a few restaurants in the hotel and near the hotel is the center of local nightlife. The rooms feel a tiny bit old sometimes but are clean and always in proper condition.Swimming pool area feels very sheltered with plenty of shade if you need. Pool bar menu is extensive enough and the place has a gym that sees a lot of use because of its variety of equipment.
Shame on Manager !!!! Hotel overbooked, This is a 5 star hotel with 2 star 🌟 service.Long queue 1 hour at check-in. Room not ready. We pay extra $$$$ for Platinum lounge access. And it s closed for renovation ??? Our friends room moldy and musty had to chage room. 1 hour wait we have been waiting for our luggage to be sent to room... Stay away !!!!Manager does nothing for fix it and reception does not answer phone... 😔😔😔🤮 spa operating short staff, massage only available, no mani or pedi or facial etc available, and for massage fully booked all the time...
Excellent, but a but dated. Great service though and location next to adaliya is perfect for a great night out. Also mens gym is really well run
Terrible place. The prices are average for Bahrain. The hotel itself its nice, the bars and the venue is nice. However, the Staff... Terrible to say the least. I paid $85, for a two hour event. I did this thinking the service would be excellent, as I have come to expect from Bahrain. Oh, was I wrong; this place has terrible customer service, avoid if you can. This is Bahrain, their are several other locations that are better and better priced.
I can only say something about the Taifun Bar, where I often and regularly pass by. The service is excellent, the selection of drinks is very good and the shisha is outstanding. The location is embedded in a pond with goldfish surrounded by palm trees in a beautiful garden. In addition to very chilled music from the speakers, you can often hear live music from different bands.Itˋs a great location to hangout and have some good times.
