I hadnt been at this place for many many years so decided to revisit.The quality was still amazing and the service was great.The staff will keep cooking the meat for you and keep checking to see if its ready to eat.Definitely one of my favorite Korean BBQ restaurant in the CBD

A place you definitely want to check out, nice environment. The staff will do the BBQ for you.But other than that nothing really stands out. I would thought they change the BBQ sheet for you when the meat is super burnt on it, but they will keep using it. The Wagyu slice was frozen, some of the meat were in small pieces. Veges were still not cooked but was put aside and suggested ok to eat. Come for the environment and have someone look after you. But dont expect the quality of the meat. I tried and wont come back again.

The BBQ with all the extras is the dish to order - the quality and flavours were great, plus the experience with the staff preparing it right there on the table shouldnt be missed.The staff were friendly and helpful, taking the time to answer our questions. The atmosphere was friendly, not too busy, and felt relaxed.Not the cheapest, but it was worth it - so Ill return, but not too often.Would be good if we could book online too, theres a phone number to call and they called me back, but in the mean time I did start looking for another Korean BBQ. Glad they called back, really enjoyed the meal.

Very ordinary yet expensive food! The restaurant was definitely under staffed. The servers were literally running around to serve food. Overall wasnt a pleasant experience.

This place is bomb! Great meat, great drinks, great food overall and if you dont know or want to cook the meat yourself, theyll cook it for you, only down side is the price is pretty high LOL

Judging by the reviews this place has, we mustve come on a bad night :(We were presented with a $90 bill for such a small amount of food (which took FOREVER TO grill and we left the table half hungrythat I thought they have made a mistake!Ive been to korean BBQ IN Korea and here and this one by far was the worst experience Ive had. Which made me sad because I love Korean food...

Cutest little KBBQ Place. Meat selection was great. I liked how they cooked everything for you, so its great for people that may not know what they are doing!

Much more relaxed Korean BBQ place, come here if you dont like the smoky, loud, predrinking restaurants. It is worth the walk up the alleyway to be greeted and waited on with tasty Korean BBQ and dishes

Here for a team outing. Juicy fried chicken and nice cut of meat. Meat are tender and cook to perfection. The charcoal definitely made the taste went to another level. The staff are friendly and attentive. The price is little expensive but definitely worth it.

Staff are great and the food was amazing. The interior is very well decorated and there are 4 floors. Beanie took great care of us!

Nice Korean place atmosphere is full of hustle. Staff is attentive nice meat cuts the marinated rib meat cut is full of flavour must have soju and beer with meat. Keep an eye on staff when cooking meat they try to bbq all the meat in one go ask politely to slow down so you can enjoy the food whilst its hot.If you like review please tick 👍

We read many reviews online and thought it would be a great place to celebrate an event. Unfortunately, based on our experience here, the food and service did not meet our expectations. You can pay less at other Korean BBQ restaurants and get better quality meats/food. We ordered a Korean pear drink which came out in a can. A can that you can get from the grocer for three times less than the amount you order here.

This is the best Korean restaurant in city ever. Some others restaurants served too small and thin pieces of meat. But here served thick meat and dishes with reasonable price. They were nice to their customers with an experience.

My dining experience felt rushed at Guhng The Palace. The last set of Waygu slices wasnt even finished cooking and the coal was taken from us since it was 9pm. Although the kitchen closes at 9pm, i dont see why we couldnt even have our last set of waygu pieces since it was literally in front of us ready to be cooked and i was doing all the cooking anyway.Only positive, the venue is really nice. Definitely felt like fine dining whilst inside.

Quite disappointed with the dining experience overall considering the price being charged this would be considered overpriced for the quality and quantity of meat being served from the Korean BBQ selections. I have been to several Korean BBQ restaurants and would be reluctant to even rate this experience whatsoever as I cant say I really enjoyed the food and the flavouring wasnt all that impressive either. It certainly felt like we were paying for the aesthetic of the place rather than the quality of the food and service. Unfortunately, it will be the first and last time visiting.Some areas of improvement would be adequate staff to service the floor, better food health and safety training and knowledge from staff as chicken and beef should never be cooked together (everand it seemed the staff member was unaware of why this was an issue... Great potential but it could start with refining the basics then moving onto better pricing or better quantity and quality cut meat to justify the current pricing structure as what we paid for was simply not justified.

This must be the best Korean BBQ we have been to in Melbourne. And trust me we have been to many. The food was just awesome. The cuts of meat where juicy and cooked to perfection. The condiments are authentic and fresh. The Kimchi and pickled veg I must say where amazing, refreshing and cleansing. The service was to match the food, very attentive staff who where happy to make recommendations of the drinks and food we ordered. The decor itself is very traditional yet with style and funk. Thank you to the team who work there for an amazing and welcoming experience. And thank you very much for sending me home with some very nice Kimchi. We look forward to coming back.

I had my bday dinner in here few days ago. They prepared a lot for bday boy. I was 1000% satisfied their customer service. Especially, every single dishes they served were perfect. Also, venue was so modern korean style. If u looking for good place have fancy k-bbq dinner, Im strongly recommended here as one of K-BBQ lovers.💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

The interior is pretty cool and everything looked very promising until we saw that our bbq set for 4 people included 3 pieces of mushroom, 2 slices of corn and 1 paper thin slice of zucchini 😂. I couldnt imagine that $200 can get you only this much. I started wondering if it was April Fools Day already. The taste of bbq meat is alright, I think any Korean BBQ is always good, but there were very modest amounts of sauce. One serving of beef was pretty much raw on one side and dripping with looooots of blood (I guess this is the kind of experience that makes people go vegetarian forever).

Korean bbq, great atmosphere, awesome staff and lots of meat and soju. The banquets were great value and good range. Maybe more vegetables would be good in the banquet as very meat heavy

Awesome place to eat. The tofu was the best

All of the food was tasty but overpriced for the portion size. We ordered the set menu for 3 and 2 extra plates of meat and were hungry when we left. The veggie plate had 3 slices each of zucchini, pumpkin and mushroom plus 3 extra button mushrooms and 2 pieces of corn. 2 pieces for 3 people?! I asked for another piece and the waiter just said no that how it comes. How stupid, it’s not like 3 people can share 2 small bit of corn. Really annoyed the whole table.

My sister-in-law and I went here last night and it was AMAZING! The food is super tasty, good portions and plenty to choose from! The staff were friendly, well presented and very accommodating. The lady that served us recommended the watermelon soju and maaannn was I impressed! Absolutely fantastic night and the presentation/decor is funky! We will definitely be back! Cannot recommend highly enough! Loved it! Thank you so much Guhng Palace!

Friend recommend this place to me and I shouldve read reviews before i step inside. I do understand it is hard for business during lockdown period, but this can not be an excuse, staff does not communicate and just bring out meat and cook straight away without any introduce, not any. We ordered hotpot and portion was surprisingly small or maybe you can indicate on the menu as a single serve soup. Other than that, if you burn the meat (as we do appreciate your service to cook it for us), just dont serve it, dont trim it in the front of our eyes please. Also, please delete some of your Google photos as current plating was mislead by your previous photos. Unhappy experience, we end up with some other Korean bbq place.

This is an awesome place to go out for, if you are craving Korean food. Great ambience and architecture. Please make a reservation before going in, because this place get very busy and you might have to wait for at least 15 mins. Food is amazing and the staff is very friendly and attentive.We ordered a Large Budae and Soju, that was plenty for two people.Highly recommend this place.

On ariving and walking in to restaurant it looked awesome.Tables and seating was spacious.Ordered a set menu it all looked good and tasty but lacked substance.Dipping bowls hardly had sauces in them it looked good But not enough.We ordered drinks thay never came 😥Then we ordered deserts but was told thay had run out of some of there ice-cream ☹.Im only giving two start it started ok but they dident finish well.Good looking restaurant.

Great food and nice decor! This place is tucked away in a side alley and it’s hard to find. Make the effort though because the bbq here is awesome! What I like about it is that the produce was great quality, as were the flavors. Prices were slightly high, but worth it. Beers were $9 each which added up to a bit. For 4 people the bill came to $300. If it was about 10% cheaper I would have said the price was right. I’d go back though!

Ordered the $95 set and extra wagyu porter house meat. We also ordered some scallop, yukhoe and pork for entree.For BBQ, they will grill the meat for you. The dishes that I ordered were good but not exceptional.Service was great and the place is quite nice (its spacious and not smokey like some other korean bbq place).

It was a decent price for lunch but tee steak came out just warm and the chips came out separately.

Food was awesome, had the premium beef set and the porterhouse was the bomb! Super tasty with good service for the value of money! Today was our anniversary and we had a good time there, especially with grapefruit flavoured soju!

Really enjoyed dinner here with some friends a few weeks back after discovering it by accident when our usual Korean BBQ was closed. Glad it was cause this is our new favorite! Great food, great service and great atmosphere! Just wish they had an all you can eat option like many others but I’ll be coming back anyway! They also let you split he bill which was helpful too!

One of the best Korean BBQ in town, top service and they actually cook it for you, and for once I ask for medium for my premium beef rib, and I get exactly what I asked for, there is not many place do this nowadays lol.Charcoal bbq Ox tongue and their pork belly is the best, love it. I will definitely come back for another visit the next I’m around.Price is really well for the service you get and the quality of food.

Had the premium beef banquet (selection of waygu beef and vegetablesand Korean fried chicken. Truly great food, fresh produce and the meat is of a high quality. There is a waiter on hand to cook your meat for you. I can only give it 4 stars as although the wait staff are extremely friendly and helpful they forgot our desert and when we asked for it they charged it at $13 not $7 as we ordered it at the start. Food wise, for the price you pay its a great amount of food and of fantastic quality

This place is one of the best Korean BBQ places Ive been to. The thing that sets it apart from the rest is its use of charcoal to cook the food. This provides a more intense heat than an electric grill(which is the norm is most other KBBQwhich results in a more intense Mallard Reaction without overcooking the meat. It also imparts a slight smokiness to the taste.Service was good with the waitress helping us cook the food. Ingredients were pretty fresh and the results were delicious. Booking for more than 4 recommended especially during the weekends.

Great Korean BBQ. Beautiful meats and well presented. Not a great alcohol collection, but enough to get you by. The food was the standout.

Uptown Korean BBQ place has nice decors and atmosphere. A team of 8 of us ordered 2 combination BBQ set, cheese dabokki and a Korean fried chicken dish. Honestly the meat was over expectations 5/5 delicious 😋. Juicy, tender, well marinated, it is the next level in Korean BBQ. The let downs were the proportions, simply left us hungry for more afterwards, probably because the meat was so good. Other negative was the lack of vegetables for the meat, didnt have the standard lettuce other than that this was was a good treat, staff were friendly and attentive.- BeHungry
