This little family run hotel has exceeded our expectations. Meticulously clean, our apartment offered plenty of space, all the kitchen amenities and a private sauna. Breakfast was fresh and generous (and catered for intolerances), staff - very helpful and friendly.

Very clean, the best service, breakfast is perfect with Buffett! Ill come back.. 😀😀

Absolutely satisfied with price/quality. Small cozy hotel nearby the train station. Well decorated inside with Northern views. Clean and functional, no smells. Very friendly and helpful staff, taking good care of the visitors comfort. Scandinavian style breakfast, special diet available on request.

Came here for only one night before my flight south. Facilities are good (well equipped kitchen!and the room was clean and tidy, though a bit cold at night. Reception wasn’t that useful for questions, and was strict about check-out time (10:00am).

Als wir zu zweit mit unseren vier Kindern da waren, wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen. Die Ferienwohnung im UG war Gut dimensioniert und warm. Wir waren im Winter da. Das Frühstück war toll. Vielen Dank!

Erittäin lähellä Rovaniemen rautatieasemaa, edullinen, siisti ja hyvä aamupala. Hyvin tuli yö nukuttua näissä lakanoissa.

Aivan ihana yöpymispaikka. Ulkoa päin aika kuluneen näköinen, mutta huone oli siisti,kiva ja rauhallinen. Palvelu oli erittäin hyvää. Yö meni rauhallisesti ja aamulla oli odottamassa hyvä ja kattava aamupala, eikä gluteenittomuus ollut ongelma. Todellakin suosittelen, koska hinta-laatu suhde oli enemmän kuin kohdillaan.

Hyvä paikka yöpymiseen. Rauhallista oli, suihku ja WC omassa huoneessa. Aamupalaa oli tarjolla ja sillä sai hyvin koneet käyntiin. Tulemme toistekkin.

Siisti ja viihtyisä paikka. Hyvin varusteltu keittiö, monipuolinen aamiainen ja ystävällinen henkilökunta. Hinta-laatusuhde erittäin kohdallaan. Viimeksi käytiin kaksi vuotta sitten, tälläkin kertaa oli suositeltava kokemus.

Quiet and very cozy place.

Just what I needed! A tidy single room with a reasonable price and a good breakfast within a short walk from railway station. Even got extra help and super frindly service as a bonus.

The staff is super helpful and friendly, they speak English very well (they speak German too). They tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible, the breakfast is awesome, the rooms are quiet, clean and cleaned regularly, we got fresh towels regularly too. The bus/train station is like 3 minutes from there to Santas village, the city center is 15 minutes by foot. Id very much recommend this place and the next time Im visiting Rovaniemi, Ill choose them again.

We were there the last winter, around mid february. The guesthouse is ran by the family who are super helpful and attentive, delicious breakfast and an available kitchen to cook lunch or dinner if you might. Would definitely recommend

A modest but cozy little guesthouse, clean rooms and friendly staff. Good location.

Very basic. Sleep only -empty offer to store groceries in fridge. At their offer, we stocked up at the market for an early train departure. Kitchen did not have open access when told it woo.d. We emailed (as was our method to book). No response and a suggestion the following day (well on our trip to Helsinki), we should have called. Unsettling at best. No offer for a partial refund for their mistake.

Absolutely wonderful. Customer service was kind and welcoming and bed was super good to sleep! Room was clean and nice, also the hole guesthouse decoration were really cool.It dont really give outside the welcoming feeling, but really cares about that?Breakfast was good. Coffee also. Strong like it should be.

Beautiful guesthouse where the staff cannot help you enough. Perfect location about 900m from the town centre (15 min walk with kids). Train station where you can catch buses also 250m over the road .

Beautiful and clean small room. The breakfast was very good.

One word: Impeccable.The staff members were kind, room was very comfortable and clean.It is located in the quiet area of the city but the centre is easily accessible within ten minute walk.You can also reach Arctic Circle with bus 8, which can be found at the railway station just down the road.I really enjoyed my stay. Good and flexible place

I had a fantastic time at the Guesthouse Borealis. The builiding is situated on a quiet street and has really nice balconeys over looking a quiet garden. The breakfast was quite small but was delicious none the less and very filling. (Porridge, toast, fruit, yogurt, muesli, etc.The room was incredibly clean and very cosy with plenty of space. It felt more like an apartment than a hotel (I am guessing the building used to house Kerostallos). The front desk lady was very friendly and accomadating and was fluent in Finnish and English and I believe she speaks some Swedish and Norwegian as well. I had a pleasant conversation with her in Finnish and English. There is plenty of brochures for things to do in Rovaniemi and she had plenty of insight into many of them. The building on the outside is not pretty but don’t let looks decieve you as this is a wonderful place to stay.

Overall is amazing place to stay, close to bus station and supermarket..

The facilities are great, but there are a few issues that interrupt sleep. There is no door to the bedroom, and the blinds on the front window that looks to the street cant be closed so light streams in. The hotels laundry is apparently downstairs and the staff were talking and laughing until about 11pm. However, the kitchen is well equipped and there is a good washing machine. With the sauna heating the whole bathroom clothes dry quickly. There was a sense of momentarily living in an IKEA showroom.

Good location

Nice place, located near the train station and with a shuttle bus stop. The rooms are good and the breakfast (extra feeis abondant with a wide choice of foods. You are given a key of the front door in case you want to enter after the curfew. The manageress is kind and serviceable and there is a communal kitchen for those who wish to cook.Our shower only delivered cold water in the morning, though.

Nice hotel, comfortable in a good position beat the city Centre.

Budget class hotel - high value for your money.We were overnight here on our tournee from Southern Finland to Lapland to have one week hiking trip. Rooms are small but clean and you will not get any extras, but for our purposes this is all we needed. In stairs there are even beautiful paintings from Laplands nature (see fotos). The location is quite good. It is easy to have evening walk and see city centre.

Very basic and slightly run down place, you can get a nice airbnb apartment for less.

A cosy B&B near the train station, with a nice breakfast buffet. However the location is not very convenient to city centre if you do not have a car and have to walk 15mins in winter.

Only one cattle for all customers, and when using the kitchen staffs keep peeking like we are going to use too much water or break anything. And there are not enough plugs in the room. VERY STINGY. Moreover, those plugs in the toilet are not working AT ALL.

Nice place, close to rail station and to the center, but the room are a little old, but well decorated.

Just what two guys needed for a quick overnight in Rovaniemi. Comfortable beds, clean shower and bathroom, nice breakfast included, well-stocked kitchen. Well priced at 60€ for the two of us.

Well kept traditional-style guesthouse offering basic but clean rooms, relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Close to railway stadion and bus station.

Location near rairway station. Staff is nice. Nothing to complain besides room is too small.
