Gruž Market - Market in Dubrovnik, Croatia
I arrived the market at 10:40am and it was almost closed all table only few vegetable table left..fish..? I didnt see at all. Maybe...It was rainy today, anyway I was so disappointed🥲
Small market of fruits and flowers on side of marina
Lots of lovely items on sale
You can find everything you want and to everyones taste but also to your pocket!😂😂😂😉😎😜
Be wary of over priced items and haggling, on the whole though, it was okay.
Its a beautiful place here in Dubrovnik
Most expensive place in Dubrovnik for not from all fresh to vegetable and fruit not for local producers, lots of others remarks about traffic and parking.
People are having a good time. No crime and peaceful.
Great local market with fresh local produce! Homemade olive oil and wine sold by locals.
A nice port area in Dubrovnik. Its well maintained with parking facilities for boats and cars.
Went here today with family to go on a boat trip
Only stopped nearby to pick up the Yacht.Didnt have time or inclination to shop.
Delightful market in beautiful location.
Great authentic local life experience.
The market itself was closed at the time we visited, but liked the environment after the hectic and touristy old town area.
Homegrown produce, fresh fish.
Few general stores, appliances shop, butcher and caffee
Lots of fish, kind people, everybody could speak english. Varriety of fish
Good choince of fresh fish and vegetables, best to go between 6 and 8.00 a.m.
Not big, but cute market, better to come really early, if you want to buy fish
Lots of sweet things and well priced.
The farmer market open from 7am to Noon, a great place to get fresh fish & local fruit & vegetables.
Average market. More aimed at local residents
Its great to buy local grocerys and fish here. The fruits and vegetables come from the farms of the sellers who sell there and the fish is fresh from the sea.Beware that the wares are according to season or the catch though.I still love it there. I buy whatever I can there to fill my kitchen.
Nice local market. Not a lot of selection, but daily vendors make it a good vibe.
Small market in Dubrovnik. While small, there is fresh seafood and seasonal fruit and vegetables at a good price.
Loved it. Farmers market. The vegetables were delicious. The fish market is right there with some good variety
Great authentic market, expect tourist tax but be aware so you won’t get scammed. Atmosphere is worth it if you have it nearby
Green market & Fish market.. Very good spot for buying some localy grown veggies, fruits or egs from grannies , or fishes and other sea food from the local fishermans..
Used to be place where local homemade agricultural product has been sell but today only very few are left. Majority cheated selling products from supermarkets pretending its own double or even triple priced. So you cannon be sure, recommending to avoid.
Nice market, even if its a little scaled down due to the pandemic. We arrived at about 8:15 mid July, and there were plenty of fish and veggies to choose from. Parking might be the biggest issue, we luckily found a space fairly close.
Head to the Gruz Market, in the garden of the Gundulic summer villa to buy fruit and vegetables from the region’s farm and localy caught fish.A vibrant and busy open -air market where the locals comes for fresh ingredients.Larger and cheaper than the market in Old Town, arrive early in the morning to pick up the freshest fish, straight off the boat from the Elafiti islands.
Local market, not a large choice of produce. The fish market had a decent variety and was reasonably priced. We went early in the morning in order to get the best choice of fish. Can give it miss if you are not interested in purchasing any fish.
Small market out of the main city, but disappointingly small and a bit expensive.Parking is also an issue, as in the entire area, so may just be better to go to a supermarket.at least you will know that your paying a fair price as tourists are easy pray hereOnly open from around 7 to 12.
All local fruits and vegetables are more abundant in some seasons than others, and seasonal eating provides you with the freshest and healthiest food while also supporting local farming. The local farmers usually sell on Friday and Saturday mornings.
Like a regular market, selling all the regular things. Seasonal fruit and veg.Fish market was also open but with limited stores. However, if youre a tourist, beware. They are likely to charge higher prices - on things which can be purchased at pemo for same or better quality (some itemsat lower prices. And or, Dubrovnik is just so much of a tourist area, everything appears to be expensive.Another thing, although Id like to give benefit of doubt when it comes to these things, but some of them tend to want you to hurry up and make a decision on what you want to buy, even when there is noone else around. It was a bit disappointing to see.Nevertheless, its a market and youll get to see the local produce.
Fresh fruit veggies and flowers plus a few local produce like honey and nuts
If you want to buy fresh fish, fruit or vegetables go here.
I got up at 6.30am to go to Gruz market as we have been told you can get fresh fish at the market. Got there just after 7am but no fish market. Ive seen about 8 or 10 farmers with fruit and veg stands. I guess the fish market only really runs during high season (?). I visited in October. Still, a very nice walk along the harbour in the morning sunshine :)
Fun place to visit wgen in Dubrovnik. Take a 30 min walk in the morning to buy local farmed vegetable and fresh fish/seafood caught in the morning. Be aware of how much you pay, its easy to to be hazzeld!
Kind of small in later September but this is the place to get fresh fish
Smaller than I expected. Usual fresh veg and fruits. There is also an indoor fish counter. No hot food stalls usually found in markets in other countries.
Nice traditional market open everyday from 7 til 12 in the mornings...Is cleaned and organizace, people the sellers are very friendly, they sell fruits, vegetals and also is a shop for fishes. Located in front of the Gruz Port Dubrovnik.
Great little place restaurants lined up beside shopping centre service and food fab
That is the market. There are fish, vegetables, fruits and flowers. There are fresh seafood caught in the nearby sea.Seafood starts at 6:00.You should go as early as possible in the morning. It will decrease after 8:00.There is almost finish at 10:00.Start time of vegetables is a little late. There are no pesticide farmers. It is fresh.
You will find a lot of vegetables, cheese and fish.
For this big of the town, market is kind a small. Its not open everyday in its full capacity. Friday is by far the busiest day and has richer offers. Outside are veggies and fruits, homemade products like honey, panceta, cheese, eggs, etc. Mostly dealers from Neretva valley (mass produced), but also few regular small farm traders known among locals :)Fish market is in the closed section, there is something everyday but again... Nothing beats Friday!
little convenience shop on the road. you can buy bus tickets here.
It is a cute little market located very close to the Gruz port. You can find flowers, fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as fresh fish.We have only been there for the fruits. It was lively, the vendors were eager in a rather positive way. They dont speak much English, but enough to communicate with smiles. We founds awesome fresh figs there, even bought some extra to fly back home with us.
This is a lovely yet small market with fruits and vegetables as well as flower sellers. There is also the fish market in a closed building next to it. Not too busy but worth a stroll if youre going past it.
